Not so pleasant stay at this hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. Upon entering dirt wash cloths and towels.
Mattress was built like it was for a jail. Bugs in my first room. Was switched to another room with more bugs. Seeing bugs in my second room, I packed up my things and some w/ the front desk requesting for a refund, I was told to contact hotels.com...they stated they were unable to get in contact with the hotel and offered me a $25 refund. I wouldn't stay here..

Power went out second day I was there, didn’t come back on til the next morning. Room was hot and dark. Staff was difficult in bringing extra towels, kept having to call and ask. Also didn’t expect the mattress to be so close to the floor.

First room I booked, had a low bed no mattress just spring box and a futon. I asked to change it and they gave me another room that had multiple tiny roaches coming out of the walls. They gave me another which was better than the first two but not great. When I asked where was the room in the picture, desk agent told me “The rooms don’t even look like that anymore” so don’t believe what you see lol. The only thing I liked was its location, and honest staff. But I have to admit even for its price I expected it to be clean. Safe to say I will not be staying here again.

Nothing worked. Turned on bathroom sink, sprayed all over sink basin like a mist. We were aloud (1) towel or (1) wash cloth! We had to choose!!!Hot water pot didn’t work! Bugs bugs bugs! When we checked in woman acted like we were bothering her. Every question was met with eye role.

Worn down and poorly managed / serviced hotel. We had 3 days of no cleaning at all, even though we were out almost all of the time. Even after I asked 3 times when heading out that they would clean our room. Dirty floors when we came and we didn’t receive any hand or face towels until the last day (6 day stay) and then only 1 for the two of us.
In general worn down and dirty grout.
Highway motel standards at best.

Worst hotel experience I've had in a long time. I was nothing but understanding and kind and they just kept missing the mark time after time. There was a roach. The bed was nasty and smelled bad, it had white blotchy stains on the blanket and I asked for them to change the blankets and sheets 5 times!!!! 5!! They told me they would and never did! Eventually I went down and asked the person working the desk to help me she told me \"sorry they prioritize new arriving guests over existing guests\" and I almost blew a gasket!!!! I told her they my blanket had stains on it!! And crumbs and stank! She told me she'd ask if they'd want to help later. Eventually someone arrived at my door hours later and she said they don't own any other blankets and \"were not allowed to change it out\". Everytime I attempted to talk to someone at the front desk, they were in the backroom hiding on their phones and I had to wait a while before they eventually decided to come out to help. Safe to say I'm never going back and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

There are higher-class hotels in the area, but this one was fine and much less expensive. It shows its age, but it's totally enough for the basics. ABC mart next door, and 5-min walk to the beach. I'd stay there again.

Elevator smells weeds my first time not worth it to stay for long
Rooms doesnt have a body soap and coffee and only 1 towel.
My room neighborhood was loud at night they were loud fighting and banging the walls. Front desk clerk dont even greet you.

Grand Plaza is a budget hotel.so the price is reasonable. Terrific location right in the middle of Tumon. Staff was nice and accommodating. Room was pretty spacious.
The wifi is quite slow. TV is analog...not much programming. Four- leg.tub is unsafe to.get in and out.for shower..Floor gets.wet.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay..

They cannot find my booking so I had to call Hotels.com. They didn’t want to check us in and said we have to pay their rate even though I already paid online. When Hotels.com called them, only then they said they found my booking. There are small cockroaches in the room, only 2 towels even we booked for 3 so I had to request it again. Overall not a good experience.

Nice location. I arrived late so couldn’t really explore too much. It is in the center of the tourist area. And right next door is a great Mexican restaurant so I could quickly walk and grab something to eat. (The birria quesadillas were so good.) As far as the hotel- it is very outdated. I really think my single mattress bed was actually a box spring. 😏 It was solidly firm. The room just didn’t feel clean or comfortable. I was afraid to unpack and walked around in socks because the floor felt a little sticky. The “leather” couch was crumbling. Creatively, they flipped the couch cushion over to hide the severely worn and torn cushion. While the price was low- it still felt like I paid way too much for this place.

Affordable but definitely needs renovation and deep cleaning. There were cockroaches, stains on the towels and bed sheets, floors needed mopping and sweeping. Hair and boogers from previous guests still on the bed. We informed front desk our toilet was leaking before we went shopping in the morning, came back almost midnight and it was still leaking. Homeless and drunks in the parking lot everyday. One tried to open my car while my kids and I were inside. Very poor experience, will never return.

The mattress was hard. Wash cloths were not in my room and when I received wash cloths from house keeping, they were not clean and had stains on them. The shower in my room looked atrocious. One of the outlets in my room wasn't working, so I woke up the next morning and my phone was dead.

Hotel Nightmare Becomes a Reality

Firstly, front desk could not tell nor find our reservation. Front desk staff didn't put much effort in finding this. We had to show our confirmation. Just to keep things moving. Our room was little dated, writings on the wall. Was not cleaned, rusts on the air dryer. Bathtub was a bit dangerous as it moves. Exhaust in the bathroom makes a terrible scream.

Just another old hotel in need of moderizations. Flooring old and wore out. Dryers are out of service had to spend the day drying my clothes with a blowdryer. No airport shuttleservice. Air conditioner barely cooled during the day. Locks on doors are questionable( i could see through the crack in between the door and the door jamb) would i stay here again? Never, Not even for 45.00 a night and it cost me 92.00

Located in Tumon, the Grand Plaza Hotel was conveniently located in a walkable tourist area with many shops and restaurants and also across from the Police Station. ABC Store is next door. My only real issue with this hotel during my stay is that the walls are thin and I could hear my neighbors from both sides!

Although not as bad as the previous property I stayed at, the rooms definitely need an upgrade. Door was supposed to be self locking, but wouldn't close correctly without slamming it shut. A hot water maker was provided, but it had a good amount of rust or something on the bottom of it. Otherwise, room was decently clean. Air conditioner seemed new, worked well, and was surprisingly quiet.

This place is great if you need an affordable place to stay and you don't need any extra amenities or luxury. My room was fair but the mirror was dirty and the bedding had stains and there is no fitted sheet. If you didn't rent a car then there was taxi and a nearby shuttle. Location is ideal if visiting Tumon Bay and the surrounding shopping centers. It was also noisy when I stayed due to noisy guests and construction being done in the building, but the construction was being done at a fairly resonable time unless you want to sleep in.

My fell from my very small bed. Then I found out that the phone was not working. The workers did tell me.

There was no services at all. No place to eat at the hotel.

Bathroom toilet was not cleaned well. The tub was not a built-in one, but instead they placed a separate tub (one with short legs) in the shower which made it unstable when stepping into it. Bed sheets were extremely wrinkled, so you can't be sure if it was changed or not. Thankfully I brought a thin blanket which I slept on. You can hear the neighbors walking in the hallway too. Would not stay here again.

I have stayed here many times. No problems. On this occasion the elevator was broken and I was put on the fifth floor. The clerk at the desk thought this was funny. My room door didn’t shut and lock and the phone in the room didn’t work. My wife tried to call me but the clerk refused to help.

Bang for the buck!

Hotel was suffering from the aftermath of a typhoon, but the electricity and water were on...not so for the rest of Guam...and there is no more airport shuttle bus...but there is a great Chinese restaurant across the street, and a convenience store next to the property, so, overall, I'd give the place a good review.

Friendly hotel staff and Chamorro people are friendly too. Hotel is very old. The fitness room is actually owned by the hotel tenant and you need to ask permission first so you can use the exercise equipment.
One minor issue was when I bought a pizza and keep them in a room refrigerator so I can eat the leftovers later then I noticed that 2 slices of the pizzas were missing. No big deal sharing my food. Overall, I still recommend the hotel and very convenient to the shopping malls and restaurant.

Cockroaches. There was not one or two but at least fifteen. I checked in late and got my room, took a shower and laid down. Woke up about 3 hours later to use the restroom and there was about 5 cockroaches walking around in there. After that turned on all the lights in the room and saw a couple more in the room walking about as well as a few dead ones that were covered in dust. Probably been there a while. Canceled my 3 day stay after the first night.
