Colin
The room was very nice and the wait staff at breakfast was exceptional!
Mary
It was a date night visit to see Vince Gill at the OnCenter. It was an amazing Hotel night!! So quiet and restful. Not to mention Gilded Age Beauty !! Can’t wait for our next visit
Colleen
Beautiful historical hotel. Front desk was pleasant. We only were stopping on our way to Canada.
Inga
It’s a functional three star hotel. Something for a quick stay over if you need a place to stay but not something I would stay at for multiple days. The property is very run down (holes in the sheets, thick layer of dust on the baseboards), can definitely improve cleanliness. Breakfast buffet was very weak.
Helena
Just okay. Renovations in room and bathroom could have been better.
Vicente
The room was fantastic and the view of Syracuse from the room made it a memorable stay. The king size bed was really comfortable and the sheets and pillows smelled great and were also comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great and the shower soaps and shampoo were also great. The breakfast in the lounge was amazing. The Starbucks self serve machine was great tasting but a little slow so it can be awkward waiting for the coffee to brew. I would 100% recommend and stay there again.
Lindsy
Awesome stay beautiful lobby within walking distance to where we needed to go !
Devin
Check in was super easy. We opted for valet parking just to avoid the headache. Beautiful hotel - it was a busy weekend with lots of parties happening on site. Staff was friendly at check in and we didn’t really have any other encounters.
Walkable distance for food and drinks. Didn’t try out the hotel bars or restaurants so unsure how they are.
Room was nice, beds were comfortable but the bathroom could use some upkeep and better cleaning. Something on the walls near the toilet, toilet paper holder broken and crooked, shower needed a better cleaning and sink had issues draining. Overall we had a great stay but for the money I expected a much cleaner bathroom.

Huge rooms, quiet. Could use a refresh, but clean and very traditional/classic old school hotel.
Elizabeth
The room was comfortable, clean and cool. Breakfast buffet was great. Shaughnessys was fun. Check-in and check-out staff were friendly.

Erin C.
The hotel is very beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again.
Marisela
The chairs in the room were quite old. The fabric was withering away. The rest was fine.
Jane
My room was large and comfortable. The tv was not working and they sent a person up to my room to fix it very quickly. But I found some seeds on the floor and tags in the bathroom that were not from my clothes. Overall I had a great time and would stay again though
Sandi
The property was dated but it was clean and the staff was excellent.
Karen
Breakfast buffet was simple but one can also order. Lovely old hotel with really nice room. Will stay here again!
Autumn
The hotel is a beautiful, historic, and charming. We loved the old doors and carved wood; it was like walking back in time....all beautifully well preserved. The staff was warm and friendly and very welcoming. We ate at both hotel restaurants and the food and service were superb.
The disappointment was our room was in need of renovation/updates. It was comfortable, but the walls were heavily stained and in need of painting and the desk chair was worn and the seat cushion had a lump in the center. We also received very old bath linens; one of the towels actually had a hole in the center! There was tape left on the window framing from someone who had previously hung decorations in the room. It did not feel as though enough attention was being given to the in-room experience.
We would return, but we did feel the comfort and experience the quality we would expect at a four-star hotel.

Jennifer
Our booked room wasnt clean on arrival, they offered us a different room, luckily it worked for us, we changed rooms, and they were able to accomidate with coupons to the resturant.
Jennifer
Breakfast off the menu at 11 Waters was fantastic. Beautiful, vintage, fully restored hotel. We did not attempt the 20 minute walk to campus but it was a 5 minute drive away from the University. This was the nicest hotel we have stayed in Syracuse so far.
Dhananjay
Clean room.
DAVID
Beautiful and clean
Brooke
Beautiful hotel & friendly staff
Jessica
Gorgeous and well-preserved historic building. Elevators were speedy. Beautiful rooms.
Margaret
Great downtown Syracuse location. Walking distance to the theater and many fantastic restaurants.
Fabio
There was no drinking water in the room, and only one towel for a couple—there should be two. The restaurant service double-charged me twice.
Grace
Loved!
Jeff
Great history, lots of activity and restaurants.
Debra
Always a comfortable stay! Restaurant on site. Staff is always helpful and friendly
Dana

Great location if you are going to be attending activities at Syracuse University or visiting your kid. Nice historic hotel. Very nice staff and valet service. Clean. Bathroom is in need of a little TLC, but overall a nice stay.
Ashley
Facility was clean. It would be great to have breakfast included. My room was very noisy. We could hear all passing cars, and we were not able to sleep comfortable.
Amy
Staff were amazing. Humored my kids silly questions.
ralph
Clean, courteous and accommodating was the theme.
Stayed previously and will stay again

3 hour wait to get out into our room. Room was supposed to be a king with a sofa bed, called front desk to let them know. Front desk said they would bring one up, fast forward to roughly 1 in the morning and the bed still wasn’t delivered yet, finally it was.
Jackie
AMAZING!!!
Kenneth
Clean, staff was great
Tammy
We had a great stay. Beds were very comfortable. Room was very large (multi bed). It was very close to the theatre that we were attending to see the travelling Wicked Broadway show. Great time!
Thomas
The hotel is amazing.. live that they kept the old historical feel and decor. My wifes favorite hotel to stay in
Sophie
Hotel was very clean and perfectly located. Staff were so kind and friendly! Highly recommend
Terence

Patrick
Courteous reception, clean and staff made us feel welcomed
joseph
The shower was gross. It was full of mould. It could use a good cleaning.
Siegfried
Room was good. Breakfast was average.
Luc
Staff was incredibly supportive
Hilda Olivia
Had a great stay this past weekend. The front staff was amazing with their customer service and answer any questions we had. The room was clean. The valet parking attendants were always courteous and customer service was excellent. They offered ideas of where to go eat or shop. Highly recommend the Marriott Downtown Syracuse.
Denise
Everything was great
Leanne
Thenroom slwas spacious and clean. The staff were good as well. There were.2 parties occuring so valet was a nightmare for hotel guests.
Jayson
A beautiful hotel! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book future stays here.
Allison
The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff was so friendly. A great stay all around.
Cayla
Room was amazing and the staff was very accommodating for early check in
Scott
We had a dirty room our shower had mold in the corners. The staff is good the cleanliness of the room was just awful.
Justin
Clean room, welcoming staff, breakfast not included but still available and reasonable
Diane
The staff was very friendly. The lobby is beautiful with all of the old woodwork and detail. The rooms could be a bit more polished. They were a little tired with scratches on the tables, dirty vents in the bathroom and rust in the shower. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Joyce
Initially, the building looked pretty cool. The closer I looked at it thought the more I noticed. Carpet coming up from the stairs and the brass bannisters were all green. The room was in desperate need of a paint job, the shower was dirty and the molding in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. There was no counter space in the bathroom, the hair dryer work and the towels were crunchy. The people next door slammed their door all night until about 2:30am and deliveries could be heard from the 7th floor. The staff was incredibly nice.
Jared
Room was beautiful, the hotel was beautiful. Such an icon in downtown
Perry
Brian checked us in and was so welcoming and pleasant
Martin
Staff. Very generous in upgrading room as a Platinum Bonvoy member.
Jessica
Perfect downtown stay!
April
The bathroom was not clean
Carl
Hotel was old and not clean. There was a broken finger nail in the bed.
We also arrived during a fund raiser and despite multiple calls, it took about an hour for someone to bring sheets up for the sofa bed. The sheets that were brought up to us were old and not comfortable at all.

We were upgraded to 1108 suite. It was beautiful!!!
Richard
Walking distance to many establishments
Kathleen
Staff was polite and efficient. The menu selections were good. Overall the food was average. Need to up grade your chef’s talent.
You have a diamond in the rough with this location.
I am very surprised that the Marriott Hotels did not take the Hotel Syracuse to a higher level!
The rooms were nice. The lobby and hotel decor is very depressing. Wrong shade of beige.
Sorry for my negative comments but I have experienced this hotel at its prime and with all its renovations it still doesn’t even come close to its potential magnitude of enchantment.
I realize I am more a One South, Ritz Carlton type guest but still love traditional type hotels.
This Hotel has great potential if it was managed, marketed and designed in the way it could reach its true value profitability.
One other thing I noticed. Your valet employees were not dressed in some type of uniform. People were asking guest to get their car.
They were to casually dresses. Did not look professional.
I did like my room.
I rarely react to surveys but I felt that I needed to say what I said because I know what this hotel to could be.
It’s needed in this area.
It’s centrally located.
It’s in the heart of downtown Syracuse
It’s easy access to other restaurants and bars.
Thank you.

Pam at the front desk could not have been kinder and more welcoming. She made us feel right at home and ensured we would have a terrific stay.
William
Clean room. Beautiful hotel.
Kevin
Excellent room eith amazing water pressure in the shower
Becky
This is such a beautiful hotel, I enjoyed walking around and looking at all the details of the historical charm, I even was treated to getting to see the magnificent ballroom! I definitely recommend staying here.
Yazid
Great
Ryan
Excellent
Susan
Doors locked at 11:45 pm and had to call to be let in, which was odd. Front desk person was helpful and nice, though.
Gabriela
Installation’s very old. Expensive valet parking and the parking garage was far in a very unsafe scary area
Melyssa
It’s a historic hotel and the details are incredible. Also, one of the best and most filling breakfasts I’ve had in quite some time.
William
Friendly staff, nice size rooms, convenient to theaters and restaurants. Beautiful building.
Gabrielle
We stayed here prior to my son taking an exam at facility for his medical license. The room was very clean, front desk young man was very courteous. He even gave us a free coupon for breakfast for two. We ate at eleven waters for dinner as well. Wow definitely recommend eleven waters. It was so delicious. The doors upon entering each room are very historic and have some history in themselves. Look it up! The gym was clean and worked well. The beds were extremely comfortable. The only thing I would change is next time as a woman I would use the valet. There were a couple of interesting people hanging out near the parking garage. But this is definitely worth staying here!
Matthew
Excellent staff, great room, only quibble is that Colgate, my Alma Mater, got thoroughly whomped by the Orange.
Peter
Free parking and breakfast would’ve been nice.
Thomas L
Check in wasn’t great. Got there at 3:15…a little early for check in. No problem. Told them we would take ANY room - didn’t have to be the king room we reserved. Told us no rooms were ready and we would go in a “queue” for available rooms. Seemed like most people were checking in and getting keys right away. Check back at 3:50 - room wasn’t ready…said they would call us. At 4:30 we went back up to the desk…new employees at this point. Asked straight away if we wouldn’t mind a different room and gave us keys!! Told them that in the beginning. Seemed as if we would’ve sat there for hours with no call unless we kept checking. It was annoying. Hotel is nice otherwise…room was spotless but a little dated.
Matthew
Rich history!
