We did not realize the hotel was under construction for renovation. It really wasn’t horrible or intrusive to our stay. We had an oversized room with a bunk room. Our teenage son and our young grandson slept in them but they smelled bad. They didn’t complain until the next morning. The room itself was clean and pleasant. The bathroom was not very clean. The counter and sink were not bad but found a few spots that could’ve easily been missed. The big problem was the big jacuzzi tub that was so dirty that even our boys wouldn’t use it. Luckily it was just an overnight and we headed home first thing in the morning. The manager was welcoming, kind, and very friendly. The price was good, so we didn’t complain about the bathroom and beds. Breakfast was the usual continental cuisine. Coffee was good.

Lobby was under construction. But room was not clean Trash in bathroom, old poorly cleaned faucet and shower head, opened or used bathroom soaps. Carpet was worn and dirty, there was still open bottles of soda in fridge from previous guest. Would not recommend staying at unless you didn’t want to sleep in your car for the night.

This place is under active renovation. The entire first floor is being renovated and that caused nails and screws on the floor the first and second days. Fine layer of dust covered stuff. The front desk isn’t manned most of the time but I just hunted someone down for help ( new towels). Our actual room was on the second floor and it was fine. The cooling system in the room was pretty noisy. The breakfast was ok- sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy as well as cold cereal, bread, juice and coffee. The staff were all really nice and helpful. This place is located in Troy Illinois and was a pretty easy drive into St Louis for activities. We would probably stay there again. It will be pretty nice once the renovations are completed.

The sink in the little kitchen area didn't work and they never came to fix it, the toilet seat had melt wax all over it, the only good thing was the guy that checked us in was super nice, the pool was perfect for my 4 yr old and the breakfast was ok

When I arrived I noticed that the entry and reception area was under a total reconstruction. The hostess was very professional and apologized for the clutter. The room was clean but does need some updating ... especially the bathroom. Breakfast was not up to the Best Western standard ... I was greatly disappointed.

You can see where they are doing updates in the hotel, but our room was not refreshed. It was clean and quiet, but worn. The hair dryer didn't work which maybe the first time I didn't travel with one and was hoping to the use the one in the room.

We arrived and the hotel was under major construction (there was no prior notice of the construction).
The building looked abandoned from the outside and we were the only ones there.
When I went to check in there was no one in the lobby for quite sometime.
We went to our room after checking in and it was in bad shape. One of the sinks leaked and didn’t have hot water. The bathroom was filthy. There was literally dirt in the cracks of the bathroom tiles. The paint and was bubbling and peeling off the walls. Out in the hallways there were tons of missing ceiling tiles. My kids went to the pool and they didn’t have lighting in there for the first 30 mins.
It was a very sad experience and we won’t be staying there again. Money wasted.

Staff is very nice and concerned about our stay. They knew we were going to swim so they checked and adjusted water and room temperature.
Rooms and beds were clean. It is rated appropriately as some some thngs could need updating like baseboards, cracking stuff in corners.
Breakfast was basic. Packets of oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, warmers full of egg patties, sausage patties and biscuits and gravy.
This is my \" go to\" place when i visit. It has everything I need in a great location for a good price.

The reviews looked amazing, so that's why we booked to stay in the first place. The hotel itself is pretty run down; the room we stayed in didn't feel clean (floor wasn't vacuumed, table/desk wasn't wiped down fully-crumbs from previous guests), the toilet seat was broken (shifting to one side or the other/falling off when you tried to sit on it), and we didn't receive room cleaning any day we were there-arrived on a Friday, left Tuesday (trash was never taken out, we asked for a vacuum to do the floors, brought dirty towels back and asked for clean ones, asked for more TP, sheets were never changed/bed never made). Pool area was dirty (actual dirt/mud from shoes around the pool as well as some trash and broken fake nails laying around). A huge safety concern is the locking mechanism for the entrance/exit door of the pool: it's taped over so that anyone can freely open it without their key card. This is scary for anyone with little kids/kids who cannot swim. Good things: the staff was nice when we asked for what we needed. Will 100% never have a return stay.

Easy to find. Clean, quiet, great staff. Breakfast was ok but it was really the prepep kind like packets of oatmeal, cold cereal, those heating bins of circle eggs, sausage, biscuists and gravy.
There was yogurt, milk and juice.
Gym was a little weak with older equipment.
We were here before and this is a much better place now. I would stay here next time.

The property was fine. Problem: When I reserved this room either expedia or I got the wrong date for our stay. We arrived at Best Western on October 29th only to discover that the booking was for November 11th. I could do nothing but pay a 2nd time. I was astounded that the attendant was unable to do anything about it. So, I paid twice for one room. You will note that I took out insurance hoping to recue my loss. But the process for making a claim is not worth it. I chose to simple \"eat\" my losses. Disappointed -Melvin Lehman

OK for an older property. Musty smell when first entering the room, but it disappeared after the AC was turned on. Everything worked, and call to the Front Desk for clean towels was handled quickly. Ice machine on the second floor had no Ice, and the third floor machine was out of order. Luckily, the first floor had ice. Room was generally clean, sheets and pillows were OK. Good value for the price.

The light switch in the area of the room with the bunkbeds was faulty and would spark when trying to turn it off. If you turned it off, it would pop back up and then the light on. There was trash all under the bunkbeds. When the jets in the tub were turned on, a bunch of trash and hair came from them making the tub unusable until we cleaned it thoroughly. The towels seemed very unclean so we got towels from the pool area to use. The pool was dirty and we had to splash out bugs and other debris floating around in order to use it safely with the kids. Staff was amazing but everything else was terrible.

I never leave reviews, but this place was something special. Check in was fine, the front desk person was pleasant enough, although the first thing he told us was the elevator was out of service. That should have been the first red flag. The room was gross. Like, the underneath side of the toilet lid was disgusting, rings in the bowl, a funky looking patch in the bathtub that was likely related to the cracks in the tile. Bed had multiple stains. The whole room felt dirty. I have never called to get a new room before, but I at least thought the guy would sound a little bit surprised, lol. He was accomodating and moved us. The second room looked fine at first glance, but it had problems of its own. Pretty sure someone was testing out all the surfaces, if you catch my drift. The bathroom counter slanted toward the floor like someone sat on it. Same with the night stand. Wouldn't dare use the jacuzzi tub without a scuba suit. The faucet wouldn't switch all the way from tub to shower. Hubs said the fitness room was also pretty bad. Noticed an ice machine was out of order. Continental breakfast appeared to be your standard situation. There were guests there, but we passed. I gave 2 stars because the guy was nice enough and allowed us to change rooms at 11pm, and at least the air conditioner worked. Be careful out there

Stayed for 2 weeks for business. I am on the road in hotels the majority of the year. This was not a great experience for the money. The hotel only changes towels when you ask. Have to go down to get them. The elevator didn’t work so had to use the stairs. The room was only cleaned twice in 2 weeks. I asked to get it cleaned but didnt happen without multiple requests. Very average for a Best Western. I would not come back.

First, there was no control to the cooling system. The thermostat did not work. The floor tile in the bathroom was broke and had some sharp edges for bare feet, Most important we stayed 2 nights, After the first night our room was not serviced, No clean towels, bed not made etc. So we had to use the same towel and wash cloth for 2 days. Not what we expect in a room rate.

The property was great. The hotel was clean. However, I feel like there should be stricter rules for parties and kids. We were there for a work trip and even had our 7-year-old with us and she couldn't even enjoy the pool because there were 10-15 rowdy boys not being watched by their parents instead the parents were in the kitchen area drinking and partying very loudly. My daughter chose to get out of the pool about 5 minutes after being in and we went back to the room to lay down which was even worse because the remainder of the rowdy boys that weren't in the pool were running and jumping so loudly above us. After about an hour I did go talk to staff and he said someone else had just called to complain as well but it didn't stop until about 1am at which point my daughter was crying and begging to go home the adults were still drinking and screaming and playing games in the kitchen area extremely loud to the point you couldn't walk down the hall and have a conversation with the person next to you because you couldn't hear. Hotel is nice but limiting the drinking parties and controlling children behavior would definitely be better
