We had a fantastic stay. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is located a 1minute walk to Great Portland Street Station so transport access around London is easy. Good walking distance to Hyde Park and other local landmarks. Would recommend to anyone and would stay here again.

Ecstatically pleasing but quirky room: No closet so clothes hang out in the open, only 2 storage drawers, no nightstand drawers and no work desk. Never did figure out how to work the lighting.

The hotel is in a great location as it is close to Regent Park, restaurants and shopping. The quality of the breakfast in the Level Lounge was very good and the the hotel staff was fantastic. The only negative is that they do not have parking at the hotel however there are parking lots close by. I would definitely stay at the hotel again with my family when visiting London.

Small issues make for a poor stay.
Luggage was not taken to the room, I had to go find it in reception myself. Leak from bathroom ceiling not fixed. One of the noisiest rooms I've stayed in in London, 518 and the 3 near it should not be chargeable such is the noise from the lifts, the windows are sub-standard so the road noise terrible. Ear plugs essential.

On a positive - The rooms are a good size with good amenities, The gym, Level area are excellent as is the breakfast and general offering.

The most comfortable stay & best service given hotel in London. We’ve stayed in a good few in Mayfair & Marlyebone, The Level at the Melia White House is the one we love to return to again & again. Amazing location 10 minutes walk from Euston station, close to Regents park and beautiful Marylebone. Close for Mayfair too. It’s the one we choose every time because everyone is eager to make your stay as wonderful as can be and the rooms are simply luxurious. The beds are lush and the rooms are spotless & have everything needed for a nice stay. I’d like to give a special shoutout to Magdalena, Zubair, Lena, Haben, Jaime, Sebastian & Susan. The lovely lady who checked us in on our this stay, I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, you always greet us with a smile and welcome us back. Thank you. Andrei who has recently moved department in the hotel thank you for the loveliest surprise with a handwritten note on our last recent stay along with a delicious fruit platter to welcome us back. These small things mean a lot, all of you we appreciate how you welcome us back like family, it means a lot. Thank you all of you for always giving us a nice experience staying in your hotel ❤️

We only stayed for one night but have to say it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed. In many!) Everything was perfect, the check in, our bedroom, the bar was cosy and welcoming and the buffet breakfast this morning was amazing! The hotel was perfect in every way, excellent value for money for a central London hotel and really should be rated five star.

A good stay overall, with ups and downs

It's a nice hotel, but needs some tweaks.
We tried the online check in, but never received confirmation, so we had to go to the reception. The receptionist was nice enough, but we were not offered any upgrade (hotels.com gold members should be offered one when available)

When we got to the room, it was a little disappointing. Little details, like cables sticking out from under the TV, made the room look a tad shabby.

We liked the toiletries, and the beds and bedding were good. The heating was broken, however, and blew out cold air. By the time the maintenance person had come and tried to sort it out, and a new room was arranged, it was 11 30pm. The new room was an upgrade, however it was a bit dusty, and so badly soundproofed that you could hear the guy next door snoring all night.

Pros:
The gym was perfect. It had everything you could need, and was immaculate.

The Level lounge was a sweet idea, and provided a unique way to unwind from the city.

Breakfast was faultless. Great selection and good quality.

If you want to sleep don’t stay at this hotel, the sound proofing between rooms and corridors is awful. The rooms facing the front hear every bit of traffic and street noise (even on the 8th floor).

Not a bad stay but not spectacular either.

What I liked:
1) Staff were pleasant.
2) The level lounge is a great amenity and was well stocked in the afternoons / evenings.
3) They put together a games room for children for that weekend. The hotel is very child friendly and everyone was wonderful to my daughter.
4) Cleanliness.
5) Room was comfortable and spacious

What could have been better:

1) Attention to detail - staff was lovely but always felt short with something small. Even the Christmas trees in the public areas were too tall and clearly did not fit, thus they were made to bend to fit.

2) The restaurant. For days prior to arrival, I tried to call to make a booking. They do not pick up the phone. Reception was able to take my name and reserve a table. On the day, I walked to the restaurant to amend the booking, they took my name because they could not find it. They have many tables, so I would’ve been accommodated, but I wasn’t to know before I arrived. Food for adults was good, food for children was definitely too oily (my daughter had the fish fingers). Also, I had a VIP amenity that I had to show proof for, as the restaurant was not aware - I guess because they did not have my booking or my room number.

3) Breakfast at the level - the organisation needs to be addressed. Food was good though!

4) The lifts. They are not efficient and half the time the screens were not working appropriately.

This is a nice hotel in a very good location near Regent's Park. Close to the tube, walking distance to SoHo. I was on one of the Level floors with a relatively spacious room. That gives access to a separate area for a fabulous breakfast buffet and later day wine and noshes. also offered are a wide variety of pillow choices. It's close to a hospital so you do hear ambulances occasionally. Noise can also sometimes come from adjoining rooms and above. Check in is unusual because if you've pre-booked you get emailed a QR code and scan it into a computer which dispenses your room key. Check out is equally human free.

The room we were assigned was freezing cold. The heating was broken in the room and the lady at reception could not have cared less. She said she would call her supervisor to get a new room assigned. We heard nothing so called back 15 min later and she said she couldn’t get through to the supervisor and therefore didn’t do anything. We eventually got a new room by explaining the situation to someone else and they were willing to help. Who assigns a room with zero heating when it is -1C outside and then doesn’t care at all? So strange.

Upon check-in, I asked the counter if we could leave two luggage for three days custody as we need to do a short visit Manchester, the answer is positive just to pay a service fee. However, while we checkout, the bell room said that the hotel has changed their policy not to offer such service. Our train tickets are booked and time is limited to find any alternative but to bring the luggage in the short journey. The hotel is unreliable.

Trying to get any form of service was not very good.
Was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to request an ironing board and extra clean towels. Ended up having to walk down to the front desk to request the items. The member of staff at the front desk placed an order, not so willingly. Very much a hassle it seemed I had caused.

The management don't seem to know how to control busy areas and/or manage staff to help in the best way. It was all very rushed and I, at times felt we were forgotten about.

The description of the room we booked wasn’t correct and we ended up being moved to another room which was the correct description, according to the hotel we had only booked a basic room so the description needs updating so you know what your paying for. Excellent location for the tube line. Staff were so helpful and breakfast was fabulous. Room was lovely and clean - only complaint was the bed. Although rooms were newly renovated the bed had a really firm mattress - to the point of being really uncomfortable. The sitting area outside could have been made more pretty. Candles more plants etc. Could have been a nicer area to enjoy the free tapas and cava. Apart from that a really enjoyable stay.

The refurbishment hasn't destroyed the style afforded by its 30s architecture.

Lovely hotels, rooms are getting ready for a refurb but we are aware that is in the plans. Bedding was clean, food areas / bar was clean. The level luxury’s are worth the price. From Cava on arrival to cakes and hot drink at lunch time even on check out day. Breakfast was superb not everything was Hot Hot just make sure you take the sausage closest to the heat lamp and you should be fine. Tapas was lovely and we had that as our evening meal as was plentiful and could take as much as we liked. My only negative is that they didn’t bring desserts out till half 7 which was strange when tapas started at 6pm.
We did have a strange noise above our room, I rang down to reception but nothing was resolved thankfully it didn’t stop me sleeping. Location was brill we used taxis twice and cost around £12-15 each time once to soho and other coming back from Harrods. We also jumped on the bus for first time in London as it was there and waiting when we left theatre only £1.50 each so much cheaper but stops a lot although we wasn’t in a rush so no problem. All in all perfect hotel for a quick overnight stay I will definitely be staying here in the future.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. When we asked to change rooms to get away from the elevators, they immediately agreed and assisted us in our move.
The hotel is a bit dated and needs refurbishment and it seems like this is underway. The new breakfast area for The Level is very nice with a nice buffet.
For me, this is an excellent location with easy access to transit and within walking distance of Marylebone and Oxford Street.

Spent 5 nights with wife and 2 small children, stayed in the grand suite which had lots of room for toddlers to roam about, very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional as was the level lounge. Only gripe is it’s a very large and busy hotel and it felt slightly understaffed - always a bit of a queue at the concierge, sometimes calls to housekeeping or room service went unanswered but subsequent calls to reception always got us what we need. Overall a pleasant stay and will likely be back when in London.

The Level at the Melia White House Hotel was wonderful. Very responsive service, totally clean room, with a wonderfully firm bed (which we need, at our age). We requested service twice, once for extra pillows and once to ask our neighbors to be slightly quieter at 2:30 am, and had prompt response both times. The area is a block away from Regents' Park, but not right on it. Level-room status allows you free beverages from the Level Lounge anytime during the day and free tapas selections and alcoholic drinks from 6 to 8:30 pm. WiFi was instantaneous and easy to use.

Not our first visit and again, the staff was outstanding! Exceptionally friendly, helpful, attentive, professional.
Rooms are very clean and reasonably spacious. This time (with a grandchild) we had a room for three and it was perfect.
Hotel is undergoing renovation and yet we hardly noticed it - seems that management places guests' comfort above all else.
Amenities too were exceptional with great breakfasts and all day hot and cold drinks as well as fruits, cakes and cookies for those qualified for Level access (well worth it).
Only shortcoming: sport channels available only in the bar. Hope this is changed before our next visit, for we are certain to return.

This hotel is a favourite place and our April visit represents our 6th return. We note the uproar at the moment while the management change the front entrance and foyer, however, positive staff guest management and assistance ensured our stay was as good as always.

Rooms are clean and good, the food and attention in the 'Level' restaurant area are excellent, prices are 'London', I wish it would cost less but I suppose it wont.

We'll be back, not as frequently as we would like coming from Scottish Highlands, highly recommend this hotel.

Not a good experience

Booked a junior suite at the level— wasn’t directed to that area when checking in and the hotel is not clearly signed as to the difference between the two sections. Didn’t get the information about complementary drinks etc until the next day— a letter under the door of our room and only staying one night.The main check in area of the Melia was a zoo. Given a suite on the first floor— the traffic noise kept me awake until 4am. Won’t stay here again. Very disappointing.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves for our 25 th anniversary present .We have stayed with Malia in Barcelona and Seville..
This hotel is amazing.The staff are so accomadating, nothing is to much trouble.

Classy hotel with pizzaz in a great location

Staff were stellar. The hotel decor was traditional classy-so much more appealing than modern cool. Food in the business lounge was excellent. Around the corner from gorgeous Regent Park. And right on the tube line.

Great bar, poor check in and poor breakfast

Room wasn't ready at 3pm as it should have been. We left our bags and went out for the day. When we returned at midnight, the bags had not been put in the room as promised, so we had to chase to get them.
Breakfast was a palava - no restocking of items, even the bread basket that didn't have a single slice or loaf in it. Plates not collected, cutlery not replaced. Had to ask for, or go find ourselves, most things. Cold beans, sausages, bacon, etc. The food just wasn't being checked or replaced.
There were lots of middle managers milling around, escorting you from one place to another, but enough floor staff at breakfast cracking on. I counted three waitresses, but four managers and presumably one restaurant manager - the latter five hovering, but not looking and making things happen.

Lovely hotel and great staff

Me and my girlfriend stayed here in February for 4 nights it is a lovely hotel it’s got some old features and some new modern ones to but the staff were friendly and the free drinks and appetisers at night is a lovely gesture this is my second Meliá hotel and I would definitely be back again if I’m in London again

Good clean safe comfortable

I've stayed here many times over many years, always a nice, clean, safe comfortable place to stay. On this occasion the aircon in my room wasn't up to the task, I couldn't get the room cool enough. I've had other rooms there that don't have the problem. It wasn't unbearable at all, only a minor negative. But, because of that I can't say my stay was perfect.
