Entrance, bar, restaurant and gym all impressive. However, it was then rapidly downhill.

I was staying in one of the apartments. Very, very tired. And crucially, filthy. I moved bed to see if there was a plug near bed (there wasn’t - bizarrely) and discovered what I assume to be months of dirt and mess. Geral decor and condition was poor - this room has not been decorated for at least 20 years.

Fire alarm went off about 1am and whole hotel came to ground floor. There was no organisation and communication. Eventually someone communicated that it was a faulty system issue - apparently the same thing had happened a couple of nights previously. I saw at least one person check out immediately - by this time about 2am. I complained about my room - I was taken to a different room which had similarly poor decor but with gaps at edges of carpet exposing the metal spikes. I was then upgraded to a better room, which was bigger. But this room was also very tired - chipped tiles in bathroom and old carpets and furniture. It’s a shame as building itself is a lovely art deco building. But there has been no investment in rooms for a long time

Room was clean, they provided a nice bowl of fruit, water, milk and bread in the kitchen. The room is very very small. I would not call it an apartment. The breakfast was amazing. Definitely include that in your stay! Location was excellent.

I absolutely loved my stay here! The staff helped with my group and I’s luggage as soon as we got off the taxi and arrived. The room was comfortable and had everything as described. The staff also accommodated to requests we had and was very friendly. I will definitely come back.

Check in was a little troublesome. Took a while and room was not ready at the check in time. Gave us a drink voucher for their bar. When we went to use it, it was only good for beer or wine. (Not what we drink)
Place is in a great location. Staff was friendly, but check in gets hectic. Room was perfect for what we needed. Easy to get to the tube and plenty of dining options in the area as well as hotel. Would stay there again.

The fact that cleaning was only provided on mondays and fridays was an unwelcome surprise. Also, the key had to be changed everyday as it was constantly not working and this was super annoying.

First, the picture used is not of an apartment so expectations must be lowered. At this price point, the accommodations are much smaller. That said, the 2 weeks spent were actually quite nice. The en-suite bathroom is updated. The en-suite kitchenette is closet-sized but adequate for storing and preparing simple meals (microwave, kettle, 2-burner stove, and sink along with a pot and pan and some basic dishes and utensils). Housekeeping is offered on Mondays and Fridays only. A bowl of fresh fruit, loaf of bread, bottle of mineral water, and some milk were thoughtful surprises. We chose this accommodation for its locale and proximity to University College London, Regents Park, and innumerable eateries as well as grocery stores. The only annoyance experienced was the need to get a new room card (over 5 times in 13 days) when they would suddenly stop working.

We stayed in this hotel in London for 7 nights. Our room was very tattered looking, and the carpet was stained and looked nothing like the apartments advertised on the Expedia booking site when I chose this hotel. Pictures of other apartments show updated decor and cleaner/more modern. With that said, staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was located between a few tube stops that were less than a 10 minute walk, which made it convenient to get around.

Laundry was tricky because there was one working washing machine for the entire hotel. The second one was out of service. Housekeeping doesn’t check the rooms because we found a dirty pair of underwear under the bed - it was not ours. A few items to get started would have been nice, like some dish soap and a roll of paper towels.

Overall our stay was fine, but would have expected better room quality for what we paid and how far we travelled.

Melia white house hotel is in a delapitated state and not all rooms are the same quality. The lobby is fine but the rooms have dirty carpets, dated bathrooms and blocked up with all kinds of doors. The best part of this hotel was the proximity to the tube.

This is the first time staying at a Melia White House apartment. It’s a pretty luxurious hotel/apartment. One thing to note is they clean your room every other day. I was traveling with my daughter (13) and my nephew (16) from the US. The hotel is 3 mins from the tube and 20 mins walk to SoHo. It’s just right above the traffic congestion zone. There is a laundry facility which was great since we were traveling around England for two weeks.

The rooms I booked said King bed and pull out sofa. It had a double bed and no pull out on the sofa. They brought my son a cot. This was the studio room and I do not recommend. It was in poor shape and not very clean. We upgraded to a 1 room apartment with an uncomfortable couch. But the price difference was minimal. They were diligent in making sure we were happy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bar staff neither friendly or helpful. The hotel had holiday cheer in the lobby for 3 days during Christmas week.

Overall the room was adequate, but they need to do some serious upgrades to the rooms.

Very quiet. Room cleaning staff were very nice. Great access to buses and underground.
Heat in room was off when we arrived. It took a full day to warm up. There was no separate heat in the bedroom area so we froze there the first night.
Carpet was stained in multiple areas. Probably should have been replaced 20 years ago.

Lobby, gym, etc. are updated and modern. While our room wasn’t as updated, it was clean and spacious. Staff and service are perfectly helpful. Great location next to Reagent’s Park and close to several tube lines.

To our feeling apartment's guests are treated as second class guests.
Cleaning services only once a week. We had to code the door key EVERY day.

I hope it was just a bad day!!!

Initial impressions of the building were good and the foyer area is very impressive. The check in service was awful. Stood in a queue for 10 minutes before getting bored and going to the bar. Came back 10 minutes later and the man who was behind me was only just getting to the check in. There were only 2 persons checking everyone in and they weren't very efficient. They couldn't find my booking and so ensued a frustrating episode of them asking me to email them my booking so they could create a new booking which didn't work. They then eventually found my booking after 10 minutes of faffing. There appeared to have been work recently completed on the floor we were on and every surface including doors, walls and furnishings had a coating of dust which made the place look dirty. The room was average.

Kitchen in room designed for a very tall person (I could not reach shelves in cupboard). A friend phoned hotel to contact me, but hotel insisted that I was not there, which created problems for friend and I. I doubt if 2 people would be comfortable in what was intended to be a double room (only one chair, no table).

apartment rooms were small and not as pictured. Double bed was not conducive to 2 people unless one wants to continually roll off. Pricing for buffet breakfast was excessive. Higher than any other surrounding restaurants.

Das Hotelzimmer, das wir hatten, hat neuwertig ausgesehen, leider war es aber abgenutzt. Viele Möbel sind kaputt, die Steckdosen gingen nicht, das Bad hat auch viel durchlebt. Die Küche war nicht sauber, viele Essensreste, aber verwendet hätten wir sie im Urlaub sowieso nicht. In den Gängen und im Zimmer selbst dominiert der Geruch von Curry. Dies hätte man mit regelmäßigem lüften nach Besuchern sicher in den Griff bekommen. Es hat uns nicht richtig gestört, aber wir haben auch gut gelüftet.
Das Zimmer ist hellhörig, geputzt wurde in 5 Tagen kein Mal, daher auch keine neuen Handtücher. Der Safe hat leider auch nicht funktioniert.

Die Lage ist super, Metro und Bus gleich vor der Tür. Für einen günstigeren Preis kann man machen, da man ja nur zum schlafen dort ist. Auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, daran ist nichts auszusetzen.

Malheureusement impossible de faire le tour du lit. Difficile de se lever la nuit quand on est face au mur.
Le ménage n’est pas fait tous les jours c’est dommage quand on a un coin cuisine et quand on reste plusieurs jours.

Apartment war nicht geputzt (Haar im Bad, Staub auf Kommoden), allgemeiner Zustand mangelhaft.
Service nicht gut, Room-Service unregelmässig, nach Rückfrage mit Rezeption kam Antwort, dass nur Montag, Donnerstag und Freitag Room-Services in Apartments angeboten werden.
Bar im EG: gute Drinks, Kellner wollte aber lieber flirten als bedienen, Wechselgeld gab es aus der Kasse keines mehr

Nous avions loué un mini appartement avec mini cuisine. Or il n’y avait qu’une chaise dans la chambre m. Il a fallu lourdement insister pour en obtenir une deuxième. Nous avons obtenu gain de cause après qu’on nous ait dit deux fois que cela était impossible de nous en fournir une. Manger sur le lit durant dix jours, non merci. À revoir.

Das Hotel ist super, freundliches Personal, alles sehr sauber, die Zimmer sind echt groß für London, Bett ist super bequem, keine 2 min Fußweg zur U-Bahn.
Also immer wieder gerne.
