Hotel was part of a public house and location was good, our room was top floor and on the small size, en-suite and room was clean, tea / coffee facilities with in room. Room was very hot on our visit as the weather was within a hot period, AC would have been beneficial for the price of the room, Breakfast was choice of English , continental and was ok.

Had a very comfortable 2-night stay at the Fitzrovia Belle in May 2025. Location is perfect, easily accessible to several tube stops and all central locations.
Room had good wifi, shower heat/pressure, comfortable mattress, and helpful staff. Room noise is minimal despite being over a pub and directly on Tottenham Court Road.

Welcome was functional but not very enthusiastic, neither was the farewell from the same member of staff the next day, they just took the key and that was that. I feel the staff could be trained to be a bit more welcoming.
Room was clean and comfy, bedding fresh and mattress just right, excellent shower and hairdryer and small ironing board and iron provided as well as tea and coffee tray. My only criticism is a smell of stale cigarette smoke which seemed to linger the whole time. Secondary glazing was effective, I didn't find the noise a problem.
I had a walk around the nearby sights, the Fitzrovia Belle is well placed for Trafalgar Square, Oxford St, Downing Street, Chinatown, Buckingham Palace, The Mall etc although I did do 20k steps in a little over three hours! Euston station is just 10 mins away, Goodge St 3-5 mins away, Tottenham Ct Rd Elizabeth Line station is 15 mins walk, excellent service (I went to Liverpool St but Paddington and Heathrow easy to reach on this line too)
I had a couple of pints of Guinness in the bar and Big Belle burger and chips. Both were excellent. Not cheap but the prices are online so can be checked before you book. Burger was high quality.
Food service was quick, breakfast included is either standard cooked breakfast or continental, not both.

Nice comfortable, spacious, clean room above a nice pub in the buzzing heart of London. Pros: super easy check-in; spacious, cosy and very clean room; great waterfall shower, super convenient and well connected location. Cons: noisy at night due to the location (drunk revellers on the streets). No alternative milks for breakfast (come on, this is 2024). Some wear and tear in the bedroom and bathroom (worn chair and paint peeling) but not bad enough to put me off. Would def stay again. Super convenient.

This was our second stay at Fitzrovia Belle. We came back because the service on our first visit was absolutely sensational. Not so this visit. Staff member on duty (we were told his name was Kas) did not honor their advertised 2pm check-in time. We'd been traveling for 20 hours and this was our first stop in London. Kas was unapologetic and blamed Travelocity for listing the wrong time. We are innkeepers ourselves and use Travelocity. So we know that Travelocity depends on their hotel clients to provide them correct info. Travelocity would only list the info the hotel provides. Blaming them was absurd.
A manager named Mark then came on duty and was extremely gracious and apologetic. He checked us in and said there was no reason we shouldn't have been allowed to check in on time. Mark said as long as rooms are cleaned, there is no reason not to allow guests to check in, even if it's before check-in time. So Mark helped to redeem the situation, but I doubt we'll stay again. If Fitzrovia Belle hires people like Kas, we don't think we can trust another stay there. Sad experience.

Rooms are small but comfortable. However I expected the pub above which they were to have the charm and looks of an old, traditional London pub; instead it looked like a cafeteria, with a menu to match! As for the hotel service, it was inexistant. I didn’t expect a true hotel, but, considering the concept, I expected a nice, warm atmosphere. Not only wasn’t it the case, but the pub staff was not truly helpful — or truly competent.

This is a real find! The room was clean, comfortable, and decent size. The noise from the pub downstairs was not noticable (it was St Patrick's Day, so I imagine it would be a bit lively!). The location is fantastic, and he staff were incredibly welcoming. Recommended.

Centrally located, ideal for Oxford Street, the British Museum and theatres. The hotel is above a pub, it was clean, quiet enough for Central London and comfortable (the only quibble would be that the pillows were a little past their best). We ate in the pub in the evening and it was delicious and good value, the breakfast also was very good, just slightly odd that there was an extra charge for hash browns !

This is one of our favourite hotels. We’ve been coming here since 2017. Staff is always very helpful and friendly, though has changed over the years. Unfortunately rooms need a good make over and to be looked after. And detail to cleanliness would make a big difference. It is such a lovely little hotel after all! Hopefully next time it will have received a little tlc.

The room was individually styled, makes a change from some of the generic chains we usually opt for. Really comfy bed, friendly staff and a tasty and generous breakfast included. Our room was clean, tidy and nicely decorated, with a great shower room and comfy bed. The breakfast was fantastic (try the Bad Boy!) and the pub itself is really pretty and well presented. It's easy walking distance from the West End but far enough away that it's not crazy busy. Great value compared to hotels in the area we've used before.

A pub with rooms. My room was one of two on the top floor. Despite being on Tottenham Court Road the room was pretty quiet for such a central London location. I ate dinner in the pub and had a very enjoyable meal. Breakfast was also very good. I will be going back in the future.

Five minutes walk from Goodge Street underground we found it easily. We arrived at midday but our room was ready. We were greeted cheerfully and given all the information we needed. The room was quite small but fine for London, and had lots of storage. The decor was bright and tasteful. The shower room large and well equipped. Everything was spotless and the breakfast was excellent.
The pub gets busy but we were well looked after when we returned from the theatre, and we didn’t notice any particular street noise despite the central location.

The location is fantastic but the rest could be improved. There was a hair in the bed, we waited 45 minutes to be served breakfast after we ordered and there was only 1 other customer in the pub. Other than the hair the room was comfortable. There was tea and coffee in the room.

The room was spacious, but oddly the bed quite small, the overhead fan didn't work and it was beyond hot. It must have been impossible in the summer heat.
The internal doors all were on strongly sprung brackets so they slammed every time they were opened.
That said, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good \"pub grub\" at sensible prices for London.

The staff were amazingly firendly and helpful. The location in Bloomsbury was excellent. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Water was hot and pressure was good in shower. Just the decor was very “Graceland” in the room, hence the 4 stars. Noise from the pub till about 1030 pm and then was silent.

Double windows (old outside ones + another modern set on the inside) provided a much quieter experience than expected for a room above a pub, having no problem sleeping even on a busy Friday night.

Clean and quiet room above a lively and fun pub. We had a great meal (and a pint or two) downstairs and enjoyed being with soccer fans watching an exciting match between Liverpool and Chelsea. A fine breakfast was included with the room.

Excellent location and great service
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Our only comment would be how hot the room is at night, unfortunately like most London hotels there any air conditioning... so not the fault of the property. The large ceiling fan was a good thing and make it feel slightly more bareable.

This can be a GREAT hotel, but can be a terrible one, it all depends of what you looking and expecting.
PROS:
. GREAT LOCATION, you can basically walk to many shopping streets and very close to the main downtown area;
. YOU ARE INSIDE A PUB, if you are into, there is nothing separating the hotel guest room door from the pub, as the this door is literally inside
. BREAKFAST WAS INCLUDED, I don't know if its always like that but it was on my booking
. GOOD BATHROOM, spacious bathroom

. YOU ARE INSIDE A PUB, that means no traditional check-in as you have to talk with someone behind the bar;
. NO HOTEL SERVICE, as this is a pub, you can't just call reception and complain about stuff. I got unlucky to have a broken phone on Citrus room. Remember, this is more a pub than a hotel;
. NO AIR CON and WIFI ON THE ROOM, there was no air con on the room, there was no wifi signal in the room, had to walk towards the stairs.
. 3 sets of stairs before reaching the room;
If you are a solo/couple backpacker this can be the best choice for you. But if you are an older couple with lots of luggage I would not recommend this place.

We stayed here in July 2018 and were in the Citrus room. The room was comfortable and clean. I only have 2 issues with the stay; 1: It was in the 80's and there is no air conditioning (there is a ceiling fan) so we had to sleep with the window open. It was a bit loud at night with street noise. 2: Hotel internet connection did not reach to the room but there is a free wi-fi connection from the hospital that we could connect too.
Full english breakfast with room stay was more than we could eat and tasty. The 3 dinners that we ate there, hambugers and steaks, as well as the cheesecake was very good. The staff was always very nice. We opened a tab the first night and closed it out as we left.

I really enjoyed the friendly staff in this newly renovated hotel, which makes you feel in a traditional Bed & Breakfast style accommodation. The location is really convenient, the area is nice with lots of pubs & restaurants, but very quiet at night and during the weekend.

A Room Above A Pub: What Could Be Better!
A real experience-a large room above a Pub in a great neighborhood. I really enjoyed this \"hotel\" and the breakfast was excellent and service was efficient an very friendly. The apartments are really above a bar so you will have street noise as bar patrons spill out onto the street but it stops at a reasonable hour. The only problem that might occur is in the summer-a lack of air conditioning. All of the rooms seem to have a southern exposure so it might get a bit warm but all of the apartments have very large windows that can be opened. I would stay there again. The area is terrific with many restaurants, books stores and markets. The Tube is a few blocs away. .

If arriving from the underground with luggage...
If you are arriving here from the underground (tube) with your luggage, DO NOT EXIT FROM THE GOODGE STREET STATION!!! Yes, it is the closest, but there are no escalators, elevators, etc. You will have to carry your luggage up a neverending flight of circular stairs. There are several other underground stations (warren street, euston square, tottenham court) on other lines that are slightly farther away, but they have escalators, elevators, etc. Use one of those unless you are willing to enter a world of pain. That said, this is in an excellent location. Right downtown, very close to several different tube lines, a close by bus stop, and the British Museum is a 10 minute walk down the street. Yes, it is upstairs from a pub, but I only once heard any noise from downstairs (somebody scored a goal...). The food downstairs in the pub is great, and not terribly expensive.

Recent Stay at the Fitzrovia Belle
The stay was great, very central and easily accessible. The room was clean, tidt and comfortable and there was plenty of space. Only downsides were the milk was out of date and the shower wasn't very powerful (but it worked and was warm!). I was worried about staying above a busy pub but actually I felt safe and it was quiet up on the top floor! Would stay again!

Well Placed For Theatre Visit
Reasonably priced room (for London) Easy to find (straight walk down Totenham Court Road from Warren Street tube station). 10-15 minute walk to West End for theatres. Pub/Hotel was clean and we were given a lovely welcome by all the staff who treated us wonderfully throughout our stay. Check in was quick and easy. We were in the 'olive' room. Good size room with plenty of storage. Bathroom had good rainfall style shower although hot water seemed to be in short supply in the morning. We stayed in some reasonably hot weather and found the lack of any sort of aircon an issue. The room was incredibly hot throughout the night and having the window open meant the noise from outside was too much. Breakfast was included and was excellent. We had a meal before going to our show. The food was good but, as with most of this area, overpriced as were the drinks. But I guess you have to expect that with London. Overall a good stay but I would think twice about staying again in warm weather.

We stayed in the black and white room, which was excellent. Breakfast was served in the pub and was delicious. We ate in the pub one evening and enjoyed our meal. The area was very quiet at night and we had no trouble sleeping, the bed was very comfy. Staff in the pub were generally good. Very good value for money. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk to Goodge Street Tube station, and Leicester Square is a 15 minute walk. We walked to the hotel from Euston, but it is also only a stop away via tube.

This place was a wonderful gem. Who doesn't want great food, good beer and friendly people right downstairs. Also a great location that is close to everything that you'd want with easy transportation options. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet too.

Location was brilliant, 15 mins walk to London Palladium and to Euston station, or £10 in taxi. Room was good size and cleanish, although the bathroom needs a good bleaching and the carpets need a shampoo. The lighting was really bad too, especially for putting make-up on. The staff were very nice. We sent the breakfast back twice as it was cold, just had half cooked toast in the end. There was an incident with a guest who kept everyone up all night. I was very disappointed that I was not offered a discount for the lack of sleep and the breakfast debacle , I’m still waiting to hear from the owner on this.
