We rented the one bedroom with balcony. The bedroom was offset into the room, so it was very dark and dimly lit- with no window to brighten. Our remote in the living area didnt work and the tvs had basic cable only- making it hard to find any relaxing entertainment. The chair had white splotches on it- which we didnt sit in or touch for that reason. The bed was HORRBIBLY loud. Every movement was heard. There were lots of cobwebs and peeling yellow wallpaper. The showerhead had one setting- needles. The bathroom door, when open, would show the toilet area to anyone laying in bed. But there was only enough room to open/close that door if you had nothing on the floor next to that side of that bed. The hallways also had a very musty/pungent smell.

Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Common areas are clean. Everything was in working order. The laundry area is convenient, clean and did it's purpose. The staff is amazing and friendly. We love pool area. It's clean and spacious. The whirl pool is awesome for relaxing. Breakfast staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was great and had a lot of options. We really so enjoy this hotel.

We had a great stay here during our trip to visit family for Thanksgiving! Very nice indoor pool and fitness center. The beds were comfy too! The breakfast was not very good in the Michigan cafe but their are many good dining options nearby. The hotel was very dark and needed some updates but was kept clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I wish they had complimentary water and hot coffee available in the lobby for guests. They had coffee in hotel store but it was only made once a day and very cold/old by the afternoon. Overall, it was a good place and would stay again for future trips.

Did not sleep well due to improperly hung window coverings. Big gap allowing the parking lot light to shine directly on the pillow and then the sun having the same affects in the morning. To get anykind of sleep had to sleep at tbe foot end of the bed.

The bedroom didn’t have great lighting, which could have been fixed by better placement and one more light. The bathroom didn’t have towel hooks anywhere near the shower. The property was nice, hotel was in decent condition. Some small repairs and updates needed. We specifically booked this property before others because of the hot tub. (Kid free getaway and wanted to sit in a hot tub!) unfortunately it was closed the entire stay. There was a paper sign at the front desk saying hot tub was out of order. The paper was worn and looked like it has been there for several weeks. If I had known this I would’ve stayed somewhere else. The pool looked fine but loud children each time we walked by. Very disappointing and not the relaxing weekend getaway I had hoped for.

I have stayed here before and like the convenient location. Last time I stayed was before COVID. It seems like many hotels post-COVID will not go back to levels of service experienced prior to the pandemic despite doubling the price. For this particular stay, there was one small bottle of shampoo and no conditioner. Also, I had to fill the toilet tank before using. I like the 2-head shower - that was a nice surprise.

We stayed at this hotel after our wedding. The hotel is beautiful inside and the rooms are very clean. We had a small issue with the AC system leaking water but the staff (Heather) was wonderful and promptly upgraded us to an executive suite.

My daughter lives in Chicago and I live in Oshkosh so we met in Pewaukee for an over nighter along with my granddaughter. Everything was good except the smell in the lobby and the hallway. It smelled of marijuana? Not sure what that is about but I wouldn’t go back because of it.

There were residue marks on the desk, smudges all over the refrigerator, hair in the bathroom, and what appeared to be blood on the shower curtain that doesn't get washed after every guest. When I arrived at the hotel I was told the there was no hot tub. This was a major problem. They said it was on their website -- not the booking website. The front desk and manager were very snarky. They said there was NOTHING they could do because I ordered through Expedia. They said sorry -- gotta contact Expedia. I paid nearly $300 for this crappy room which was a handicapped room -- would have been nice to know this. The clock alarm went off in the room at 6:40. The hotel restaurant served non-GF food. The outlet didn't work in the bathroom. The thermostat did not work and it was super hot. We had stayed there 3 years before and loved it. This time is was just miserable! I would never stay there again.

There was a very nice restaurant Thunder Bay connected by a walkway . We were able to meet friends at the restaurant twice during our stay without having to get in the car and drive somewhere. The hotel is right off I94 and easy access to the Milwaukee area. Also the staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the big walk-in shower.

I appreciate the adjacency to Thunder Bay Grill which allowed us to walk to dinner, plus the food catered to my pisca-vegan spouse. The room was clean but the ADA altered bathroom hardware wasn't attached or located correctly to hang towels to dry.
I did not appreciate the location of our room directly above the speakers of the wedding party in the ground floor. The DJ ended at 12 am and didn't allow for much sleep Saturday night. If you are housing party guests you may want to stick them in this room-- at least they're at the party and won't mind the noise.

Over the past 5 years, I have traveled the 50 states. I have stayed in a mix of hotels and motels. I have stayed in places I probably wouldn’t return because of the condition or location of the place. While others I would return to in a heartbeat. The Holiday Inn Pewaukee is one of the “I’d return in a heartbeat” places. Everything from the spacious room to the friendly staff to the double shower head with the best water pressure I have ever experienced. I hope I get to return to Waukesha/Pewaukee just so I can stay here again.

Dirty bandaid on the floor of our room when we walked in, wrappers were on the floor by the bed, smoke free room smelled like smoke, toilet seat was broke, bathroom faucet hot and cold handles were reversed, almost every guest in the hotel was maskless during pandemic even though signs were posted that masks were required.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. My issue was NO ONE was wearing masks which is UNSAFE for EVERYONE. When we checked in, the clerk was not wearing a mask; there were three other people not wearing masks in the lobby and the clerk did not seem interested in requesting them to wear masks. Throughout the stay, most residents were not wearing masks. There were signs posted but no one enforced it. This made us extremely uncomfortable.

I stayed in what they call the king executive suite. It was clean but you could hear everything that was going on outside the room. People were loud and disrespectful to other guests staying here. Windows were drafty and heat didn’t go up until we were ready to checkout after we turned it up the night before. I probably won’t be back.
