Stayed for an admitted students tour. It is exceptionally close to the school (across the street) which makes touring and exploring the University very simple. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a pizza place connected to the lobby as well if you want to eat or grab a drink.

Although recently renovated the air conditioning and heating unit sounds like a freight train, had to wear earplugs every night, on top of that it would wildly swing the temperatures 5-10 degrees when it would turn on and off multiple times an hour causing major sinus issues when waking up. The bistro is ok, but some days staff wouldn’t show up so there was no food. Spent an extra day waiting for weather to clear due to cancelled flights, and found out housekeeping had taken the stack of quarters we had for laundry, not sure what else, if anything is missing. The front desk couldn’t remedy any of these issues, honestly I had better experiences at well run motels.

The front staff was so nice and helpful. Fast efficient check-in. We were there for the UT/UF football game and the girls at the front desk said if we couldn't find a parking spot around the hotel to come back in and they would help us figure something out. We found a parking spot. The room was nice and very clean. Housekeeping stopped by and even though we didn't need the room cleaned on Saturday gave us extra towels and toilet paper. The hotel was super convenient and close to campus and the stadium. All in all a great property and a great stay.

Great location walking distance to UF and other restaurants.. love Paisano‘s Italian restaurant right next-door to Holiday Inn. Definitely always my first choice when staying in Gainesville to visit my son at UF.. i’ve been up to Gainesville five times and three of those stays were at Holiday Inn and will continue to stay there when visiting. Nice hotel for traveling with a pet. The staff are really great and go above and beyond. I enjoyed breakfast each morning with the waitress Susan. Other staff always greeted me and were helpful when I asked for things. The one flaw was the wifi network on the sixth floor went in and out or wouldn’t work on my phone when it was working on my computer. But they did attempt to fix it when I asked.

We needed a quick stop for an overnight stay in Gainesville. We would have had no issues staying longer. Clean room and bath, small fridge, coffee and room to relax after a 16 hour car ride. Five Stars all around and the restaurant attached had outstanding food and service as well.

They regularly checked on our needs and offered help. Even though the hotel is in a construction process, everything is very clean. Worst hotel I have stayed at by far. Renovations were not a problem. What made it so is the critters under the sheets. I report itching profusely and the front desk did nothing. I searched the room and found BED BUG droppings and the front desk still did nothing. Logically I could not sleep in the room and left by 3 AM to drive to the next city. The manager responds with \"must be an allergic reaction because the exterminator found nothing.\" I know what an allergic reaction looks like, and these are clearly bug bites. STAY AWAY. You'll get ate up and they will just sweep it under the rug. By far the most greasy set of management I've ever encountered. You not only risk bringing them with you to your next stay, but the hotel will do nothing and disregard clear evidence.

We stayed here for our daughters graduation from UF. This is an ideal location, within walking distance of campus and the downtown. The hotel is under renovation and we stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was very nice. Breakfast was great and it was made to order and not a buffet. There is also an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. We would stay here again if we were back in Gainesville.

The hotel is undergoing renovations but we were not inconvenienced at all by the work being done. Our room was beautiful and clean. The staff of the hotel was friendly and very accommodating. We enjoyed the outdoor pool. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is located in a prime location for access to the main campus. They are remodeling, which caused problems with the TV cable service in my room. My room did have a wonderful view of the University of Florida campus. Traffic on University is busy and get load at times.

Construction at the hotel was loud from 7 AM to 9 PM. I was reactive to the fresh carpet glue--it gave me head aches. There were stains on the new carpet and a hole in the wall already (marked with blue tape). The alley way where we had to park had sketchy characters going around most of the night. There was cardboard flooring in the elevator and foyer. There was no breakfast area. This is the first negative review that I have ever written.
