We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly front desk team member. Unfortunately, in order to get to the front desk, we had to walk through clouds of weed smoke. Guests were just sort of hanging out in the parking lot and around the property. It was clear that this was a low-budget, no-frills hotel.

We got two rooms; one for us and one for my teenagers. The rooms we very rundown. The TV's didn't work properly and had cords just dangling down from them. The remotes had tape over the battery cases. The ceilings had prior water damage. There were fruit flies in both of the rooms. The kids' room had a window adjacent to the elevator and third floor entry. All night long people were in-and-out and meandering outside their window at points smoking blunts. Our room was just as rundown. The beds were squeaky and cheap. Pillows were the same. When we sat down in bed, we noticed that the bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty floors, which were sticky in spots.

If the goal is to just flop somewhere cheap, this is definitely the hotel for you. The featured pictures on the website were in no way representative of the rooms we received.

The TV didn't work the entire time we were there and the girl who was doing the breakfast was rude and miserable; I get being a server is difficult - I worked in the service industry for 18 years - she's either burnt out or just naturally has a terrible attitude. Overall it's a shrug.

We are In the process of a refund. My wife and I got back to our room and cockroaches were present. I was able to kill one but not the other two that went into the wall. We checked out and never ended up staying there. I presented the gentleman at the counter the dead one in a tissue and he was very apologetic but he couldn’t refund on cancel it. Unfortunately all hotels in the area were sold out due to a concert. We ended up driving home 3 hrs and arriving at 4am.

Hotel looks run down and needs to be updated. Staff was very friendly. Pool was dirty . No body wash, shampoo or conditioner and phone did not work to call them. Was very mad and just went to bed. Shower sprayer handle was broke and no way to use it correctly. Oh my god they used to much bleach to clean and did not air it out. Not complaining about a clean room, buth they should have aired it out. Had a hard breathing in room , so we aired it out. The smell of weed was very strong on each floor you went on. Also there was not even a ice bucket. Not happy at all about our stay . Property did not feel safe at all .

The overall condition is older and not as well maintained as I would have expected. The rooms are small and the space limited. It faces a nearby interstate and highway noises come through. The price is at the lower end of the scale, so I guess the condition is aligned with the room cost. The real highlight was the breakfast, and it was quite good.

1 star across the board for this place. My daughter booked this place as a surprise birthday trip for me and my son. The mini fridge didn't work, the toilet wouldn't flush and would leak water onto the floor when you tried, the closet doors were just leaned against the wall. There was a sign in the dining area stating you could not take your food back to your room. Who wants to rush on vacation to eat breakfast with strangers when you just rolled out of bed? Filthy... Lord have mercy this place was filthy. From dog poop in mounds around the stairs to just the dirty rooms. Thank baby Jesus the linens were clean. They deactivated our room keys while we were down at breakfast then acted like we were inconveniencing them when asked to reactivate them. I have plenty of pictures. NEVER AGAIN!

Smelled musty even in the lobby. Our room was accessible from the outside even though it shouldn’t have been. The door to the outside had the handle completely broken off. Anyone who wanted inside could easily access the hallway where the smelly rooms were. The bedding used to be white. It’s just a funky gray color now. We paid $265 for one night at this dump and would not have stayed except it was the weekend of the UF/FSU game and there wasn’t another room to be had. We left at 5 a.m. just to get out of there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My stay here was extremely disappointing. The room had cockroaches and other insects, and there was a strong, unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in. The conditions made the room impossible to use. I reported everything to the staff, and there’s written documentation confirming the issues.

This shouldn’t happen at any hotel, especially one under a major brand. I would not stay here again and can’t recommend it to anyone.

A little concerning that the inner doors have a sign that say the doors should be locked 24 hours, which leads me to believe there are security protocols in place, but what is even more concerning, is that there is actually no door handle or locking mechanism on the doors on the third floor. you might as well take the doors off the hinges, because all of the hardware is missing and you don’t even need a key to get inside the third floor of the hotel. Which means anybody off the street could access the elevator without even going to the front desk, they can go up to the third floor and get inside. When I asked the front desk attendant, if the hotel was in a safe area or if we had anything to worry about, she replied, “oh yeah, we have cameras all over this place“. In which I replied, if I was dead, it doesn’t matter if there’s 1000 cameras. When I booked the hotel, and the cost of the hotel, it did not translate well to the accommodations when we pulled up and seeing a huge sign that says weekly rentals available. My ignorance tells me, that Gainesville is just an expensive place to live and other hotels may be double or triple the price though. Needless to say, the clientele roaming the hallways, made us want to use three levels of protection at our own room door. Also, the shelf across from the sink, when you round the corner from the bedroom area, I am sure you have reported injury incidents. Especially in the middle of the

We had to change the rooms 3 times before asking for a refund. The first room was like someone got boxed it with cigarettes, the second one was on the third floor where someone left the windows open and all the rain water flooded the floors and lifted the laminated floors due being saturated and the third was next door to a large family with 2 dogs. We didn’t even walk into the unit before deciding to ask for a refund.

The room conditions were unacceptable. The first room was infested with flies, and while the front desk moved us, the second room was only slightly better. The entire hotel had a foul odor, the elevator was filthy, and the 3rd-floor hallway door lock was broken, making security a major concern. Inside the room, we found dead cockroaches, foul-smelling towels, and no proper comforters on the beds. To make matters worse, water leaked from the ceiling in several places during heavy rain—we genuinely feared the roof might collapse. This property is beyond renovation; it requires a complete rebuild. Without a doubt, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Outdated building in need of serious repair. Nadine at the front desk was outstanding as well as the young man who helped me with the TV. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety! However, The bed had no blanket, only sheets and was not comfortable. The lock to the 3rd floor entry door from the outside is broken and the key card was not necessary to enter. The floor in the hall is disintegrating, soft areas and missing flooring throughout the area. Also, there is no lock on the 3rd floor window?! My daughter opened it without having the unlock it.

We recently drove to Gainesville and had a reservation at this hotel. I left my wife and kids in the car while I went inside to check in. The front desk staff was polite, and I was given our room keys without issue. After grabbing our bags, we took the elevator up to the second floor.

As soon as we stepped out, I noticed the hallway walls had multiple holes—possibly from ongoing renovations. When we reached our room, I tapped the key card, got the green light, but the door wouldn’t open. It finally budged after I applied heavy pressure, which seemed odd.

Once inside, the room was completely dark. I reached for the light switch and found a note underneath that read, “Do not turn off the switch—it controls the refrigerator.” That felt unusual. I opened the blinds for some natural light and found a lamp on a tilted desk. I adjusted it and turned it on, then turned on another lamp nearby.

That’s when we really saw the condition of the room: it looked extremely dingy and unclean. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, as if someone had just been in there. The carpet, walls, and ceiling were all visibly dirty. The A/C unit had actual footprints on it, along with a layer of dust and dirt.

In the bathroom, we found pubic hairs and cracked flooring—it was clearly not cleaned. At that point, I told my family we were leaving. We packed up immediately, went downstairs, and checked out.

This was an incredibly disappointing experience and not what we expected based on the listin

This property’s overall condition was terrible…we were first given a first floor room that was beyond filthy in every aspect ( mold, dust, dust bunnies, dead insets, ashtray smell, and 2 live roaches ). We notified the staff and they were understanding and accommodating. They moved us to the 3rd floor. We were told that the hotel was under new management and renovations were being made, and although we did notice that, it made us wonder why they would initially give us a substandard room - one that was obviously neither part of the recent renovation, nor has been cleaned…
Even in the second room given to us, the pillows were mismatched ( and hardly could be called pillows ) and neither of the four had pillow cases. The iron’s cord was cut and had baked on crud on it.
There was visible trash in the staircase the entire weekend as well.
This was UF graduation weekend, and we were in Gainesville for my son’s graduation, so hotel rooms were tough to come by. We paid nearly $600 for the 2 night stay here, and felt robbed by the whole experience….

Our UF student lives very close by so we had high hopes for this to become our usual place. We have tried others nearby. On arrival, everything was fine, check in was great. Staff were helpful and nice. Upon going to our room, we were greeted with a smell that my husband could not quite place - was it residual tobacco? Mold? Not sure. I went to the bathroom and saw the many cigarette burns on the toilet seat, tub, etc. We then turned on some lights and found our fingers covered in dirt. Upon inspection, most surfaces had dust/dirt on them. The wall also had a strange smear. There was also a spot in the floor that your foot went down a bit - mushy might be a good description. But, it was late, the bed was clean, we aren't that picky so we went to bed. Breakfast was okay-ish. Check out was easy. I am not staying there again. PS- there were also many police cars/lights because something went down nearby so many guests were watching the action from the balcony.

Breakfast consisted of a small hot bar, along with the usual hotel breakfast. There were plenty of restaurants around, like Pizza Hut. Also, there is a Home Depot next door.

The hotel gave us a good rate, as we were staying for at least a week, even though Hotels.com made our reservation at the highest rate per night for our 10-day stay. The staff was friendly and more or less accommodating. The beds were comfortable, and there were no bugs. However, where shall I start... the floor was dirty--cleaning it was not part of the housekeeping service; the fridge was new but didn't work; the TV didn't work; the coffee pot didn't work; the outside security door lock was nonfunctional; the window leaked water during heavy rain; the bathroom vent didn't work, creating a very humid room with each shower; the breakfast was low quality. We never complained about the non-working appliances because we weren't spending much time in the room. It's possible a circuit breaker had been tripped prior to our arrival (someone pointed out to me later). Nonetheless, I will never stay in another Wyndham property. Ever.

The staff was very nice and cordial. The elevator was not working upon arrival but was soon fixed. The linens were clean. The sink had been leaking and woodwork showed wear and tear. The worse part was something red and dried brown on door of bathroom from doorknob down to floor. Very unsanitary looking. Room 205

The property was very outdated. The room smelled like smoke. There were roaches crawling on the floor in the bathroom. There were very shady looking individuals around the outside of the hotel. It made us very uncomfortable. So we cancelled the stay.

Very upset the Wyndham hotels would put their name on the property. I will hesitate to book any other hotel with the “by Wyndham” on the property name.

The room was cramped. There were no tissues. The road noise was very, very loud. The hotel was like a painted over old Holiday Inn type with outside entrances. The AC was poor. No trash barrel by the bathroom. Of the few electrical plugs, several did not work. The hair dryer did not work. The freezer part of the mini fridge did not freeze. I am very surprised Wyndham would have there name associated with this property.
