The staff was very courteous and attentive and the room was ok, had some signs of wear and tear (e.g. stained toilet bowl), but overall clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with hot and cold options. My main let down was that while I was trying to sleep I could hear the noise from the highway next to the hotel (obviously not the hotel's fault, but it did impact my sleep unfortunately).

I would not recommend the hotel. The lobby was clean and front desk night staff was nice. However, room was very dirty. Pubes in the shower wall, carpet was dirty, our room smelled of weed. The service wasn’t good either. The pull out bed sofa had no sheets and when I went to the lobby to get sheets, they apparently had no sheets or pillows left in the entire hotel.

Check in when smooth way without any problems. Hotel room was overall well laid out and in good condition. Bed unfortunately was very hard and uncomfortable and lighting over the bed only Only had one of the 3 bulbs working with 1 inapproprible and 1 a bear socket. There was no alarm clock in the bedroom and when we asked about it we were told that they were on order and not available currently. The dining portion of the hotel for breakfast was very clean and well maintained also very well stocked. I cannot tell you anything about the other amenities as we did not use them.

Our stay was great. This was our 2nd stay within a 2 week period. The hotel staff was friendly. Check-in was a breeze. The hotel room (1-bedroom suite) was very spacious for the 3 of us. The kitchen area is a definite bonus. We were able to stay on a high floor as requested. There were no issues/concerns. We’ll definitely stay here again when we travel to Gainesville.

Over all not a bad room, except that we went with out dog and they have rooms for dog visit. Pee stains on floor and desk chair chewed on. Listed as full kitchen, was not, no oven so we could not prepare our Christmas dinner that we brought. We called downstairs, oh well. I called Main Marriot number and they hung up on me. Poor way to handle my complaint. We had to run all over town to find a place to eat. King studios do not have full kitchens as stated. Beware. Toilet seat was not connected on one side. Room overall was nice, but not having a way to cook on a holiday when just about every restaurant was closed was beyond disappointing.

Bonjour Bonvoy - this is a NO GO
Booked this stay November 15. Upon check in I was told they had changed their pet policy from a $75 per stay fee to a $75 per pet, per stay fee. The policy apparently changed 2 days before we checked in. So for this one night stay, they wanted $150 plus tax just for the two dogs, added to the room rate. I advised that I had called the hotel inquiring about the pet fee prior to booking and would not be paying $150 plus tax for my dogs. The desk clerk agreed to waive the additional $75 fee “this one time”. Gee thanks.
I always read the reviews before booking and the number one complaint is that due to the hotel’s very close proximity to I-75, the constant traffic noise interrupts guests’ sleeping. So I made sure to check in shortly after 4 PM and I requested a suite farthest from the interstate NOT facing the interstate. As we would be driving home most of the next day, we needed a good night’s sleep. She told me our room was NOT facing the interstate. After receiving my room key, I went back to our son’s home in Gainesville where we visited, had dinner, and came back to the hotel around 9:30 PM. I’m quite sure the desk clerk knew she was assigning me a room that faced the interstate even though I specifically requested one that did not. On purpose? Who knows.
So I cannot recommend this hotel based on poor sleep due to traffic noise, the ridiculous pet fee policy, and the front desk clerk’s inability to provide us with a room that did not face the noisy interstate.

After receiving my room key, I went back to our son’s home in Gainesville where we visited, had dinner, and came back to the hotel around 9:30 PM. I’m quite sure the desk clerk knew she was assigning me a room that faced the interstate even though I specifically requested one that did not. On purpose? Who knows.
So I cannot recommend this hotel based on poor sleep due to traffic noise, the ridiculous pet fee policy, and the front desk clerk’s inability to provide us with a room that did not face the noisy interstate.

Very disappointed along with 6 other people during checking in. Rooms were not ready. I arrived at 4:45 and my room was not ready until 5:35. Another lady had been waiting for her room for 90 minutes. Staff was not too friendly like most Marriott’s. Fitness room needed a good scrub down.

Upon arrival, the first room’s AC wasn’t working and there was used toilet paper in the toilet bowl. When we asked for another room, we were told the AC is on a sensor and cools when guest are in their rooms. However, we were traveling with other guest and their rooms were chilly! With reluctance we were given another room.
When we got into the new room there was used OJ in freezer, no bath towels, and no bath soap. Toilet paper roll was half used, with no extra roll in room!! Had to steal a roll from the downstairs bathroom!
The rooms are dirty and old with outdated furniture and there were silver fish bugs on the pillows. Not to mention, the traffic noise from our room was horrible.
One of the other guest we were traveling with smelt Marijuana in the halls coming into her room vents at night and had ppl hanging out in the halls that were sketchy. We were traveling with teens!!
This location needs an over haul from room renovations to staff. The only staff member that was worth a mention, is the older gentleman that handled the morning food service. He was so pleasant.

Left dry cleaning at 8:00 a.m. for same day service. For some reason, it was delayed and not returned until after I had checked out the next morning. I was in meetings downtown all day and requested that someone from the hotel or the dry cleaners bring my clothes as I would have to leave immediately from my meetings to go to the airport. Nobody did. Instead, I was promised that my clothes would be shipped to me. Several days later my clothes have still not arrived so I called the hotel. The tracking number they gave me indicates that my clothes will be delivered 12 days after they should’ve been returned to me. That is unacceptable for a mistake made by the hotel. Mistakes are going to happen, but this is a terrible way to fix it

Room and elevators were not clean, food at the buffet was terrible (rubbery hard boiled eggs, rotten bananas), Parking was a mess and heaven forbid you are handicapped - they allow anybody to park in those spots so handicapped persons have to fight for parking at the back lot. But I will say the staff were a delight, very positive and full of personality.
