This hotel is backed right up to the college. Very quiet and safe location. Breakfast is not included, but available for additional charge. Staff very courteous, helpful and professional. Rooms are updated and very clean. Plenty of parking. Handicap parking is also plentiful. Many restaurants are about a 10 minute walk.

The front desk staff was diligent, friendly, and professional. I wish that extended to other areas of the hotel, but it did not.
1. Room was clean except for crumpled tissue on the floor and rings on the end table. Kind of disgusting, but because I was there for one night and arrived exhausted, I didn't call because I had work to do and didn't want them to send up housekeeping or move my room.
2. Bar was not too busy, but when I went down for a glass of wine, the bartender didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. I don't need immediate service, but it felt like he was going out of his way to make eye contact. A simple, \"be right with you\" would have gone a long way. I also watched him dip the shaker in ice, which is also kind of gross.
3. This is nothing the staff can fix, but the walls and ceilings are not anywhere close to soundproof. I heard everything above me and next to me — including someone else's early morning phone alarm.

I've stayed at Aloft before and typically they're more than adequate. Unfortunately, this one was acceptable but not much else. Definitely not worth the $250 for the evening. I realize it was Tom Petty weekend but if you can't manage to clean a room and you know your hotel isn't going to offer people a good night's sleep because the walls are thin, maybe adjust the prices?

The room was not clean when I arrived. The shower had mold and grime.The tile floor hadn't been cleaned for awhile. You could see build up in the corners of thw room.Certain areas also need repair.

Room Service Robbed us 200 dollars cash during stay. Hate to bring something like this up because the staff was otherwise great. Front desk was always great, even Room Service Management handled this well when I brought it up. But I can’t say much else when our stay was marred by being robbed. If you stay here, make sure you put DND on door and don’t trust Room Service.

I hate the new policy of charging my card $100 for incidentals. This is a nice hotel and I have been staying in Marriotts for 20+ years. You never used to do that. Some people need that money that night or next day.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a satisfactory experience. The room was generally clean, providing a comfortable space for relaxation. However, I did encounter a noticeable issue with the mattress, which had a significant stain. This was a bit concerning but other than that, the cleanliness of the room was commendable. Hopefully, this issue will be addressed promptly to enhance the guest experience. I would consider staying here again if this concern is rectified.

Not worth the money

The staff was very nice and friendly however, we paid $500 to stay here for one night. We had a charity event up the street. I feel like this hotel took advantage of the event being in the area, which is kind of sad since it was a cancer charity event. Next weekend, the same room is only 265 . After paying $500 when we opened up our windows of our room, they overlooked the roof with two air-conditioning vents right outside them not worth the money. They did end up moving us, but would not be returning here.

The rooms are very nice and comfy. The only thing I have to complain about is that the room I was in did not have a microwave, and in the morning we had a coffee pot but no coffee to brew; I only had tea bags. Other than that, the room was pretty nice.

I’ll check in the refrigerator was not working. We reported it to the front desk who said she was going to have the unit changed out while we were at dinner. It didn’t happen. The TV sets picture is fine, but the TV Guide does not show what is showing on each channel. The toilet paper supply consisted of a half a roll in the entire unit. We are Marriott rewards members for years and these experiences should not have happened. Additionally, this level of hotel should offer a complimentary breakfast.

We booked with Expedia well before our arrival. Arrived in town around and the hotel called shortly after to say they overbooked and because we were a 3rd party booking, we were cancelled first. Moved us to a hotel in another city! We had no advance notice and were already in town when they cancelled. We will never use or recommend this hotel to anyone. Just horrible business practice and customer service. 3rd party booking customers treated like they do not matter, with no concern for the huge inconvenience.
