We did not stay at the hotel due to blood on both our beds. Hair was all over the bed. Floor was dirty, bathroom was dirty. They gave us a refund but due to us buying hotel through hotels.com we couldn’t get a refund the same evening.

It was a little mix up on some paperwork that was lost but overall the staff really turned it around made me feel comfortable and overall win the best services I've ever had in a motel stay with recommend staying here to anyone and real safe with police presents patrolling for families or and it was kids or loved ones a bit by far I would give them a six star rating out of a 1 to 5 enjoy my stay here and we do it over and over again if I needed to thanks to the great stuff and it is also convenient at the state line for Charlotte and mentees Mecklenburg county North Carolina and also fort Mill of Rock Hill amenities York county South Carolina and Lancaster South Carolina very great state in the middle of the fastest growing community today

Cheap spot to stay right off the highway. Was great for my needs for a safe place to sleep for the night. Only thing to note is if your room faces the highway there is no sound barrier so it’s pretty loud. If you’re a light sleeper or have kids you won’t get any sleep.

Overall the room was adequate. The bed is fine if you don't want sleep. It's hard, firm mattress. The plumbing fixture in the shower had a 1/4 " gap that lets water get in behind the shower wall. Potential mold problem. The backsplash behind the 2 burner stove was kind of greasy. Yes wiped, but a little cleaner wouldn't hurt. Road noise of interstate, ambient noise of other rooms with kids and dogs was a constant. The staff was friendly and understanding but I would pass on this hotel if it was more than one night. Maybe it's a Fort Mill thing but every hotel I've tried in Fort Mill smells like weed. The "guest" think the luggage carts belong to them and don't return them. Cultural differences in ethnicity

My room was not as clean as it should be,but the customer service was great when I told them that there were a few things that were not clean , the front desk receptionist was very apologetic about it. She also gave me the things that I needed to clean the room. The way that I wanted the overall stay was good. I would say bring you some pillows cause they need new pillows. I use the towel to cover the pillow because it smelled like people

The staff was friendly and everything was fine untill we opened our door room 412.As soon as we opened it was full of roaches. They was everywhere. We couldnt get another hotel because everything was booked because of Halloween and everyone going to Carowinds. So we had to stay because there was no where else to go and it was 35 outside. We stayed up half the night with lights on everywhere so they wouldnt come on us. Worst night ever

Lifted up cover sheet and their was debri on the bed, a dirty wet washcloth was in the bathroom tucked with the "clean" towels. Shower was not clean and bathroom floor. Towels and washcloths did not look clean overall. Staff could have been friendlier. I also saw yellow caution tape at the back of the property and when we got in late at night, there was a man in the parking lot in his vehicle speaking very loudly. I didn't have a safe feeling.

I entered into the establishment and checked into the room. Walk in 306 first and thought it was clean. It was not. Floors dirty and not moped. There was poop on the toilet paper sitting directly on the counter. I happily walked down to ask for another room and was given one. The second room was not much of a difference. Floor dirty and not swept and moped. Bathroom bathtub was dirty still, hair nearly everywhere. Honestly was speechless for words. Spoke with the general manager the next morning and she was pleasant . I would not stay here at all. Just pass this place up by all means.

When I went to check in there was a couple who was checking out complaining of roses in their room. I asked to see my room before I checked in and there were roaches in my room.I requested a refund and left if there's roaches in two rooms then the hotel has a problem.

Booked this hotel to go to Carowinds for a few days, after working all day then driving 5 hours we arrived at the hotel. We joked about the Mad Max film series car that someone was obviously living in before we checked in. We checked in at 2301 and the front desk clerk was pleasant. After we got our keys we went to the 3rd floor for our room and noticed the hallway vinyl floors weren't very clean but again it was 2305 so it was late, we opened our room door, turned on the light and immediately saw atleast 5 roaches running across the kitchen area, I turned my exhausted family back out of the room and went right to the front desk at 2307 explained what happened, and was offered another room, I declined because roaches don't stay in one room, she did not act surprised when I told her about the roaches. I said we are booking somewhere else, while she is saying she will speak to the manager in the morning I was also booking somewhere else. I waited for a phone call or email, I sent the hotel a direct message through hotels.com (where i booked the room), I even submitted a request of refund through hotels.com and the manager would not respond. Hotels.com offered me $25 hotels.com cash. Im still out $200. I do not like leaving bad reviews but this hotel will not rectify this issue. The roaches were not small, meaning they are thriving in that building, I wish I had taken a picture but I was so disgusted I literally pushed my family out of the door before they could get in

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I will be sending them pictures of the rotted cars, bikes with grass growing through them, filthy floors. And they had the nerve to charge $190 unrefundable for two small 12lb dogs. There were no trash bins in the room and only two pillows. The sheets were filthy. I will be contacting their corporate HQ

I was hoping to have a good experience but was extremely disappointed. Check in staff was awazing. Very friendly and efficient. The cleanliness of our room was the main issue. The floors looked like they had not been cleaned at all after the last guest and were outright disgusting. The bedding was stained and placed on the bed inside out
There were dead bugs smashed on the wall and left. There was feces on the floor in the hallway right outside our room that cleaning staff just ignored. Bugs (roaches) were seen alive and dead in the hallway. The cleanliness of our room was brought to the attention of the front desk and nothing was done to address it. The feces in the hallway was swept up and removed with a broom but not mopped as the stain remained the remainder of our vist. Make sure to take bath towels as they only provide 2. There were not any complimentary toiletries provided. I would not recommend this property nor would I ever book there again. The rate was great and I was aware it is not a 5 star hotel at the time of booking however at the very least I expected it to be clean and to feel comfortable enough to be able to lay my personal belongings about the room however I kept everything packed up worried about bugs. I did love the customer service provided at check in. She was amazing.

This place wasnt so much a HOTEL as it was a HOSTEL. There were quite a few families living there. Not that THAT made it bad. There was the fact that No Housekeepers work at this facility. No "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door because NO ONE is going to disturb you. Not one time in a full week did we recieve a clean towel or made bed or garbage change. As a matter of fact, there was 1/2 a roll of TP in the bathroom when we arrived with no back-up to be found. And when we had the nerve to go ask for one, we were given 1 roll and a hard time. Then we had to go ask for a garbage bag.. same response. I saw a roach on the wall behind the tiny fridge. The AC would shut off when you left so it would be clammy and damp when we returned. There was mold in the shower. There was one little towel hook in the weirdest spot behind the door, and no towel rack on the wall.. Quite possibly the worst hotel experience ive had (as an adult ;) please only book this as a last resort.

Bugs EVEYWHERE

My son and I got this room for the night on a road trip for the in-room microwave availability. However, we did not expect a cockroach party in our rooms. Behind the kitchen counter, behind the drawers, behind the night table, and in the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting.

The biggest hint of our bad stay should have been the 10 minute wait at the front window with no bell and no sign of life.

Other points to be made would be the disgusting mattress hidden underneath two mattress covers. It looked like it hadn’t been washed in 10+ years. And also, the room itself had awful vibes with the air was so stagnant and yucky.

Not at all worth the price and definitely not worth the $50 deposit. Ironically, they made me sign a contract saying I’d pay $250 if I wrecked anything. Newsflash: it’s already wrecked! Do not stay here if you can help it. P.S. the room is non refundable.

We stayed here for my daughter’s dance competition. Apparently this is more of a long term hotel which I did not know. People were cooking, which was expected as it was an efficiency suite hotel, however the smell in the entire building from it was terrible. They did not offer breakfast which I knew when I booked, but they also did not have ice machines which I found strange. They did not have a hair dryer in the room either. Staff were nice. We felt unsafe though as there were a lot of sketchy looking people in and out.

The check-in was slow and seemingly hard for the employee, I guess this is because it's more of an extended stay place and they're not doing a lot of check-in's. The place wasn't great, Kitchenette with nothing to cook with, no shower curtain, bed basically a cot, but the real problem: Two days later I had a mysterious charge. When I called they said that was the balance for the room after the incidental deposit was added in. The problem... THE ROOM WAS ALREADY PAID FOR ON EXPEDIA! If I had not noticed and called, I would have been double charged. Not OK.

This happened to be our second stay at Woodsprings in Fort Mill SC. As I recall, the first stay there was equally unsatisfactory. However this stay was most recent. Traveling isnt ever easy. Hours before our check in time, we were called by the hotel. My husband, who has severe lung issues was asked Does he need a handicap room he reserved weeks prior. The woman was real quick to add "we do have another room for you. Him being afraid to not take the other room offered said yeah ok. After a while, i called them back. I was told he was put in a room with only 1 bed. One Queen Bed...... for 3 of us????

The 1st room I was assigned to the TV didn't work then the 2nd room smelled like old feet. I went to Walmart to get some air freshener. The towels still had hair of someone else not mine. The blinds were broken so the sunlight was coming straight in my room so I had to put two towels to block the light from coming in. The blinds were so dirty also. I would rather go to an Air Bnb then come there again.

This is a hotel for roaches not human beings. Very unsanitary and staff had an attitude problem. Why would you sell rooms when you have a bug problem in every room? All I got was a blank look and "I'm sorry" for my troubles. Just want my money back and I will never go there again.

This hotel/extended stay is horrible. I rate them 1! The staff is unprofessional. They nickel and dime you for everything. They charge $1 for toilet paper. Linen can only be replaced every Mon, Wed and Fri and only at certain times. They do not have dishes or utensils in the rooms. You have to purchase dishes for $30.
No one is available after hours. There is a linen fee. I will never stay here or recommend this extended stay.

HORRIBLE!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! NEVER STAY HERE!! The place is a low 2 star, at best. Dirty, full of nasty people, halls were dirty, elevator dirty, outside dirty, staff tried to charge me for towels because it was after 5, and they don't enforce any rules. Place was loud, kids screaming and running through hallways. I wouldn't stay there again for free. The bed was lumpy, covers were old, the heater made the room smell even worse when it came in. Well I can’t really give any opinion on how the room looked because I never got a room despite them taking 164$ from me. Was told the first night that they wouldn’t let me check in because it would be too late by the time I got off work. Was told I’d still be charged for the night per policy. Told I could check in the next day. Get there and get told my reservation was canceled and that the rest of my money was sent back to my card (it wasn’t). Contact Expedia- they call the hotel and the same woman tells them she canceled the reservation and that they’re still charging me the full 164$. Tried to call the hotel myself and ask for the second night back because she wouldn’t even let me try to check in after being told I could. She told me I wasn’t getting my money back and to go complain to Expedia because she wasn’t giving me anything and if I want a room I can come back and book a new one. So these they blocked me from coming in the second day of my reservation as I was told I could do and still kept 100% of my money and were rude and condescending about it when confronted. -10000/10. Wouldn’t come back if it was the fanciest hotel in the world purely because of how horrendous the staff is.

The hotel was pretty clean for the most part, although I did sanitize and re-clean. Housekeeping doesn't seem to really pay attention to detail. Initially i had good interactions with staff but the last 24 hours ruined our entire experience. Upon trying extend our stay the day before check out i was told they were sold out and i should have "been extended " if we weren't checking out. I didn't reali,e they allow the rooms to be booked prior to guests checking out and was never advised as to how extensions worked, when to do so etc. The young lady was very rude, loud and offensive. She insisted that I was advised of the process by her coworker. She didn't know how to work the system or properly create keys that worked. During a rushed checkout my husband forgot his work bag. We were able to retrieve the bag but almost every thing of value was missing from it. His wedding ring, gold necklace, Samsung earbuds. Samsung watch, drawing Samsung stylus' etc and even his inhaler. We created a report and advised we'd return in the morning. The lady that took the report was passive aggressively nice and not a good listener. She talked over me answering based on her presumption of what i was going to say which was very frustrating. If it weren't for Kayla and Ms. Cheron this would definitely be a 1-2 star review. We were however able to retrieve my husbands belongings but needless to say we will not stay at this location again

Took over 20 min to check in. No one at front desk. A lady saw me standing at desk and asked if i was waiting on her. Told her i wanted to check in. It was 3:00 pm. She said she had to check some rooms and would be back. A while later another lady came in the door from outside and said she would be right with us. (2 others waiting) she was very nice and professional. While she was bringing up the computer, the first lady came back. It was still at least 10 more minutes to check in. I sat down in the meantime. Not good first impression. There also needs to be a sign for motel along the hwy since it sits so far from road. Easy to miss.

It was a good stay, the only thing I didn't like was that the property is flooded with low income people. Seems like the hotel partners with the county to provide housing for low income people. I was on the 2nd floor and can hear the people upstairs constantly banging and stomping. I was only there for a night, so I was in and out.

Bathroom had hair all over the wall a dirty wet facecloth was hung over shower curtain. Went through 3 tv remotes as the first 2 did not work. The hallway floor heading to our room was dirty and disgusting and never cleaned the entire weekend. The carpet in the elevator was full of dirt as well. The bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise. No hair dryer, no conditioner. Overall place was dirty, no coffee cups for the coffee in the mornings and slept terribly.

Dear Corporate Management,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the management practices I have experienced during my stay at Woodspring Suites Fort Mill particularly in relation to my treatment by the management staff. During my stay from 9-17-24 to 9-27-2024.
Recently, I encountered a troubling situation where I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome due to unfounded assumptions regarding the smell of marijuana in my room. I want to clarify that I do not smoke marijuana, especially in the presence of my four-year-old daughter. The thought of exposing her to such an environment is not only irresponsible but also entirely contrary to my values as a parent.
Despite my attempts to comply with the rules and maintain a respectful environment, management has entered my room on multiple occasions without proper notification, claiming they were unaware it was occupied. Or they came in my room to look around while I was out because they smelled smoke. This lack of respect for privacy is concerning and adds to the distress I have already been feeling.
Furthermore, I experienced a disturbing incident where a manager aggressively banged on my door, loudly announcing that she would not honor my stay based solely on her assumptions about a smell. Despite my explanations, she refused to check the room to confirm that there was no issue. This approach not only feels unwarranted but also raises serious concerns about the management.

I've stayed at this location extended periods of time and sporadically from time to time over the course of four years and I've personally nevwr had an issue. The people that even stay here have always been friendly as well. Staff has always been kind and courteous and prompt as they can be. It's an enjoyable stay and for the price and amenities is actually unbeatable.

I was impressed with how serious this hotel is about the security of their guests. I felt very safe during my stay here! I liked how clean the hotel was both inside and out, along with how pleasent it smelled inside the hotel.
