Friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Great location, approximately 5 minute walk to beach and 5th avenue. Room setup was really cool and decor was beautiful.

Our two concerns were the security of the door and noise. The door didn’t feel very secure and didn’t have a lock. They had an event on the roof, which is fine but for about two hours around midnight many people were loudly going down the stairs. Unfortunately, the walls are thin and we were right next to the stairs so it was very loud for us, even with earbuds. So if you’re a light sleeper keep this in mind. Thankfully this only happened one of the nights we were there.

This is an amazing boutique hotel. Very friendly staff, good sized rooms with a great deck. The restaurant was an excellent bonus….fantastic food and pricing with awesome staff. Parking was easy and safe. I look forward to returning next year!

The room lacked publicized amenities. Safe, fridge. There was no soap or toiletries in the washroom. Some of the sheets were torn. The toilet was broken, and even after \"repaired\" still broken.

There was no security when I arrived back to the hotel and walked into open doors at 2am.

The hotel staff were the best part! They made us feel welcome and at home. The property has beautiful roof top views and a close walk to the beach/ 5th Avenida. They made our trip a nice place to relax after a long day of adventures! The only thing I would change is longer hours open for the roof top (both morning and evening) would've been a nice option.

The property overall was very nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very small but it had a nice balcony and bathroom. The room was clean but no space to put anything such as clothes, shoes, etc. the pillows were very fat and uncomfortable. We asked for smaller pillows but unfortunately they did not have any. The curtain closing the sliding glass door was also broken and light would come into the room so I had to tie it with a hair tie. The property is walkable to everything including 5ta Avenida just one block away. The rooftop area is nice but not the best. The drinks were amazing though.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. All of the staff members were very helpful and friendly, particularly Yair, who made our experience even better. It was within 10 mins walking distance to a TON of great restaurants in every direction, and only about a 10 minute walk to the beach as well! If we stay in Playa del Carmen again we will certainly stay here!

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The booking came with \"Free breakfast.\" However, you only get a limited selection of the menu such as fruit, eggs, and chicaquiles. Despite showing my booking info, the employees and supervisor still denied that breakfast was included. Also, the electricity would shut off randomly. My phone won't charge and I almost fell in the shower because the lights went out. Of course the hotel did not provide any sort of compensation or refund for these problems! There were so many other better hotels in the area so do your research but definitely don't go to IT Boutique unless you want to have a horrendous experience! R U N !!!

For the price point on this hotel, it was beyond expectations!! The staff are very helpful and super friendly !! The hotel is just off of busy 5th avenue, so you don’t get the noise, but, still benefit from being close to the action!! The beach is only steps away also. So many good restaurants and bars to enjoy close by! Breakfast was nice, only a couple options but, both options were plenty good for us!! I would come back to the IT Boutique in a heartbeat next time Playa Del Carmen is on my list !!

We had a fantastic stay at IT Boutique hotel. The staff was incredible; they were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We were very appreciative that they were able to accommodate our early check in request and late check out. Great location(about a block on the quiet side of 5ta avenida and 2 blocks from the beach). Rooms are ok(no luxuries), decent size, and functional, but bathrooms do need some mayor facelift(a hairdryer and a small fridge would be recommended). Basic cable TV channels would be appreciated(you can only watch YouTube or Netflix..and the latter one didn’t work in my room). Breakfast options are limited(wish they had more options to choose from). Service at front desk is outstanding, and that along with location makes this hotel a great choice for people on a budget, on business, or people who just need a comfortable place after a long day of excursions.

Room was not clean and it had a very bad smell in it. Water will not heat most of the time we had to shower with cold water. I paid for a balcony room and instead I was given a room with no balcony. I told the front office but they didn’t do anything about it. Property location is good, it is close to 5th Avenue so that was our only plus. Will not stay again !

Honestly this stay was not at all good, to begin with the air conditioning on the room we were given didn't work, so after multiple attempts to fix it and no luck they had to change us to a different rooms, the rooms make you claustrophobic for the lack of windows and light, the elevator was the smallest and slowest elevator I have ever seen, and they only have 1.
it takes you to the smallest parking garage, out to the smell of trash and every time to go out or get in, you have to physically walk to the main entrance to ask for the door to be open. worst experience ever.!

It was an OK hotel for the time we stayed, 8 days.
The ridiculously loud music from the rooftop, was very anti-social in my opinion as not everybody was here to party.
When we had an issue, it was hard to find someone to assist us at the reception.

Breakfast was ok, I understand that they are trying to make extra cash by charging for drinks but in this case, the clients need to be informed about the property in the description so the client can decide accordingly.

The description informed us that there was an extra fee for airport pick-up when I tried to book I was told that it is not a service they offer.

The rooftop is gorgeous, great swimming pools. Very nice decor in the common areas.

This is the only property i've ever gone to where you purchased breakfast. An eggs are the only thing that are included. Coffee or drinks.It's all an extra charge. This hotel is trying to nickel and dine on every item for breakfast. The owner's send a waitress telling me not to bring in outside coffe.

Hmm.... I paid for a triple room, after entering the room I found 1 towel, 2 bottles of water and 2 coffee capsules. The next day, despite a tip to the cleaning staff, the situation repeated itself. Water and two coffee capsules are a welcome pack. Breakfasts included in the price do not include drinks and bread, everything is paid extra. The breakfast menu is eggs only with a choice of toppings and fruits. Access to the beach club is a big over-interpretation. You can use it after paying 300 pesos per person and from the sunbeds in the last row. The hotel has nice staff at the reception and a good location near the sea.

No free breakfast, in room safe, or iron. I felt this hotel was dishonest in their advertising. Will not return or recommend. Rude front desk lady named Romeania. They try to charge you bogus fees upon arrival. Rooms are hot as air conditioning seems to be controlled at the front desk. Nothing at all to drink not even water offer with supposedly free breakfast. Only a soggy scrambled egg prepared by a nasty filthy sweaty cook. Stay away from this place or it will put a damper on your vacation.

I've been in several hotels here recently and showers are very limited for volume and hot water. The shower was the best in a while and beyond good

Elevator is exceptionally slow and I usually took the stairs. The roof top area has a lot of different entertainment through the week and weekends. The guests leave via the stairs and late night conversations when they walked down were an everyday occurrence seem to occurance. No consideration for guests with the late night roof parties. Not one towel rack anywhere in the room. Shower door was missing a track runner and I almost pulled the shower door into the shower. Hallways were dirty from the travelling guests down from the roof
Some of the wait staff, one more than the other's not too friendly. Breakfast was just ok. Looked good but it wasn't too tasty. Dry omelettes. Coffee the worst in several months of travel. I eventually didn't eat anything there.
I liked the location. Just off the beaten path yet close to everything. Reasonable value.

The service in this hotel is deplorable. From checkin, 3 staff watch me struggle with my bags and nobody helps. I misplaced my key and they wouldn’t replace they had security let me in the room. Which sounds reasonable until you realize the key turns all the lights and a/c on. I need we to stay an extra day they made me check out and check back in and out me out for 3
Hours.

Ironically this place is called IT Hotel and the internet connection is from 1999, be prepared to buffer 100 times a day.

Small room in a great place

The hotel location is great: close to the beach, 38th street full of restaurants and 5th Ave. The parking is limited but we got a place. The room was very small. There is not even place for a chair or a wardrobe. The room is equipped with a TV and coffeemaker. The bed was inconvinient woth a very hard mattress. The reception staff was not much helpful. The music in the bar was loud but the receptionist turned it off at my request. Overall it's not a bad place for the money for a short stay if you don't care about a quality bed.

The property was very nice. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. It is far enough away from the action to be able to walk to and from and also have privacy. Not noisy at all. There is only air conditioning in the bedroom (not the bathroom) and the bathroom window would not close fully but it did not prove to be an issue. The pool is quite small and the service is okay in terms of timing. It takes them really long to make a drink and prepare food because the kitchen is downstairs and the pool bar is all the way upstairs. If I had to, I would stay again.

La localización del Hotel es conveniente y sus empleados son muy amables. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y algo incomodas porqué no cuentan con clóset o cajones. Del drenaje sale mal olor. En dos ocasiones ordené comida en el restaurante y tardó más de dos horas. Cocinan delicioso pero son platos sencillos que tradan mucho en ser servidos. La limpieza y el servicio al cliente en el hotel fué de mi agrado solo que para el parking siempre hay buscar al de seguridad para abrir el acceso de entrada.

I’m disappointed because the hotel is a decent hotel, but not up to par with its looks. I think they have a sewage problem, because most of the rooms smell absolutely like garbage. I went with a large party and everyone was within the same 2 floors and had the same issue with the smell. I couldn’t even spend the night because of the smell and had to change rooms and it still smelled bad. Staff would go check the room and lie to me oh it doesn’t smell. Apparently the employees there don’t have have a sense of smell. I was told I’d get a refund to contact Expedia since I booked through here and kept making sure that they were on board with refunding me only to finally get an email that they don’t want to refund me, so then I had to show up to the front desk ANGRY and call Expedia in front of them to make babysit the phone call. They can’t cook there either. A chicken sandwich was ordered and the chicken wasn’t even cooked. They also tried to overcharge the party I was with before and after we all left. Nice hotel, cheap, but everything else was terrible. Smell, staff, food, service, not good at all.
