The kitchen is not well equipped it only had one coffee cup for three people so we did ask for more and they did provide them.There is no dish soap,pots pans or anything for cooking the blender was dirty the counters were not clean either. There was no bath mat or face cloths and the safe was locked , we requested to have it open so we could use it they said they would but never did. The area is very walkable and close to a lot of things. It is very noisy due to El Fogen next door with live music they are open until 3:00 a.m. also take note this property has no elevator. We are able-bodied so it did not affect us but we were on the 5th floor and had to walk almost 80 stairs each way.. the beds were very comfortable but only have sheets, we requested blankets and we're told they didn't have any. The water is gravity feed so the shower has zero pressure and sometimes zero hot water. It was NOT an overall negative experience just not exactly what we were expecting, just trying to share all the information.

This little studio was perfect for my daughter and I. Close to everything. Right beside a fabulous local taco place, across the street from Walmart for groceries, short walk to the beach and Quinta Avenida. Amenities could have been a better, there was a bit of a language barrier with the host, I asked for face cloths and was given hand towels, ended up buying some at Walmart. Not much for cooking utensils & pans, but made do. Our room was facing the street which was a little loud at night, but to me that was part of the local experience. Live music from the restaurant next door. This place was a great location and had everything we needed, and was reasonably priced too. Nothing fancy but I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay! It was a family ladies trip with my twin daughter’s birthday. The room was great it had a bunk bed for twins and king bed for me. It had a full kitchen that was well stocked and enough room for my husband and sons to visit for a few hours to bring gifts. Monica was great with customer service. She was very kind and accommodating. Great location! We went to the Columbian restaurant across the street. Walmart is kitty corner. A karaoke bar is 1 block away and on the weekend there is an outdoor market with live performances 2 blocks away. The beach is 4 or 5 blocks a way. Great shopping and restaurants near by

The appartment was in a fantastic location, above the best taco place in Playa, El fagon. The reception staff spoke great english and were very helpful. Kitchen well equipped with a blender a great addition. Would stay here again for sure. Also across the road from wallmart.

Check in was pretty easy except their debit card machine was down so I had to pay the second day I was there. 4/5 if you know what to expect as far as location, amenities, etc. If you aren’t aware of the location, amenities, etc I’d grade a 3.5/5. Only complaint about the room would be shower pressure was abysmal. Nice room, clean, and good amenities. Rooms come with a fridge, electric cook top, sink, microwave. 1 block away from a Walmart, about a 10 minute walk to the heart of the strip, and next door is a revered restaurant for authentic Mexican food. Overall, definitely would stay again for the price.

I was booked as a VIP member and was supposed to get water bottles on a daily basis, I think the guy that runs the place was keeping the water for himself. I got 3 bottles and stayed for 28 days, I was to receive 4 each day so 28 x 4 is 112.....i got 3 bottles. I kept asking for more. he always said yes but never pulled through My window looked into to an open vent of a bar that stays open until 1am and they start prepping 8am Prepping involves lots of chopping. So from 8am until 10 am is all chop, chop, chop continuous. Horrible stay. I felt i was in jail..

I booked this hotel because the reviews were good, but my stay was not pleasant. There was a lot of noise coming from the nearby building at 3 am, I couldn't sleep even wearing ear plugs. It is convenient that they have kitchen, and there is Walmart across the street, but if you come to Playa for vacation, I strongly recommend you to rent something else closer to Zazil-ha and 5th Ave for the same price. I was happy move to a different hotel after 3 nights here.

Amazing!!! Honestly, I've never stayed at a hotel so accommodating. Oliver at the front desk really makes this place what it is. Anything you need, he is more than happy to make your stay the best it can be. I booked a week and ended up booking for 4 more months instead of jumping around for the winter. The prices can't be beat for what you get, great location, big updated rooms, cold A/C, glass/tile shower, kitchen, wardrobe, TV with Netflix...A++

Lots of beds, fridge, stove were nice. We stayed for 4 nights but the room wasn’t cleaned even once during our entire stay. We ran out of toilet paper and towels. Tried communicating with someone but the front desk was unattended every time we went down there. There is no elevator so we had to climb lots of floors with our luggage and climb 3 floors everyday.

The place was essentially as expected. The room was a non-brochure version of the photo. Hallways were not the cleanest, but room was in fine shape. Hot water took a long time. Good tacos downstairs.

Whilst it initially seemed ok, there wasn't daily housekeeping, and the rooms were incredibly loud - could hear everything from the street outside and other rooms.
Staff were unaccommodating when trying to resolve issues. Ended up cutting my losses and moving to another hotel when they wouldn't give even a partial refund. Would definitely not recommend.

This seems to be a new or newly nenovated place and it is very nice. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom and very usable space for clothing if you like to unpack. Great taco place next door as well. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Booked hotel prior to starting a tour. Nothing there apart from your room , no public spaces but suited for the one night, traffic noise bad as a Saturday night plus music from neighbouring bar . Room was modern and spacious, there were a lot of small ants on the floors and the patio door did. Not lock, the ro9m was on the second floor so not too much of a security risk but would be nice to have fixed, it seemed like the building had been completed in a rush with small details like light switches not working, lack of kitchen basics etc

This is a great place to stay. I stayed for two nights in transit to Belize. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms are very nice. The small downfall is no elevator, no garbage in the kitchen, no place to put your toiletries, only one wine glass and no coffee machine.
The hotel location is great, 5-10 minute walk to 5th ave, next to Walmart and close to tons of restaurants.

Enjoy my stay
Stayed at this hotel while touring with G Adventures. Room was very clean and staff was helpful, even with language barriers, they went out of their way to recommend places to eat and answering any questions i had. I was very nervous travelling on my own at the start of my tour as i arrived a day early but they made me feel comfortable and welcomed which eased my nerves. I would recommend this place due to the cleanliness and service provision. Thank you for all your help. I was off to a good start on my tour!

Didn't have our reservation when we arrived. Put in a room that faced a brick wall no coffer marker, television didn't work for three days no cleaning one day. Noise from restaurant till 3.30am two feet from our room ,we were in room 101.

The staff was great and everything was clean, which is very important to us. Our room was on the top floor and there is no elevator. This was a mixed blessing--we got lots of exercise but it was hard when we got there and left with a large suitcase. There was no help. We are over 60 and luckily have zero mobility issues. We walked to shops, restaurants and the beach. We found a beach club on our own, it would be nice if the staff had that information. Marasol was terrific, she arranged a tour for us which was fantastic (to Chichen Itza). The hotel is on a very busy street which was noisy--we did sleep well despite the noise and the AC worked well. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen was nice however there was no coffee maker, we ended up buying one at Walmart which is right across the street. There's also a Mega store about 3 blocks away. Both stores have everything you can imagine or need including groceries. The price was great, we wouldn't have taken the trip without the great deal. TV was very limited, only 6 channels, all in Spanish with no English subtitles. No movies or sports except for Mexican Futbol. Expanded TV would have been much appreciated.

Uninspiring location on busy street
After some initial disappointment on the location, we were delighted with the cleanliness of our brand new kitchenette unit. It could have had a kettle and some pots. On street parking was available close by and Walmart is a block away. It's an easy and safe 15 minute walk to the 5th Street pedestrian and shopping area.

We just came back from Playa del Carmen where we spend two weeks at this hotel. Room was extra clean, nice and modern. Staff was very helpful, we loved it. We are thinking of coming back in the winter two spend here couple of months. Location is fantastic, little far from the beach, but we didn't mind it was our daily walk. All in all, very nice !!!

I love the hotel the staff were excellent, had a full refrigerator and the kitchen and they gave me two single beds for my kids. The bed was comfortable the air-conditioning was wonderful and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Would definitely go back again my second trip to Mexico this hotel was ten times better. Walking distance to the beaches and to Walmart.

I really cannot rate this hotel, because we did not get to experience it. From outside it looked nice and new, a bit walk to 5th avenue though, but Walmart was right there. Even though we booked it with Expedia, when we arrived at 12AM, the receptionist told us that hotel is full and they do not have room for us. He told us that we will be taken to Koox Playa Hotel, which was right downtown. So we had no choice, than to accept that.

Brand new hotel next to Walmart
This is a no frills studio room a little away from the main tourist area of 5th Ave. However it's right across the street from Walmart so you can easily get whatever you needed. Everything in our room was basically brand new but the quality wasn't the greatest. The curtain barely blocked any lights and the soap was the cheapest we've seen. The night shift staff was very friendly and helpful who helped us book our tours. The day shift person doesn't seem to understand English very well. Room service came in 3 times during our 6 nights stay but only cleaned our room once. Cleaned as in changed the towels and made the bed. If you need a lot of attention, this is not the place for you, but if you are pretty good at taking care of yourself, then this is a good choice.

I stayed 3 days. It would have been a tremendous value except when I arrived I found there was no tv or internet as promised. Also no curtains. Day two electricity was off, but a makeshift curtain was installed. Electricity back. Still no internet or tv. This place has a lot going for it, but why this room was rented is beyond me.

Adoramos a hospedagem. Fica a 1 Km do terminal ADO e da praia e também a 1 km do Chedraui que é de onde saem os Colectivos para Tulum e Cancun. Ao lado tem um mercado Walmart e restaurantes. O quarto é excelente, tudo funciona, ótimo chuveiro, cama confortável e ar condicionado. Na cozinha dá para fazer café da manhã e lanches rápidos. Os funcionários são atenciosos e a comunicação foi ótima. Na rua do hotel também dá para pegar Colectivos que se movimentam dentro de Playa del Carmen. Com certeza voltaríamos a ficar aqui
