The property was amazing! It had a lot of fun activities. The pool was great. The restaurants were wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and staff kept water stocked always. Most of tall the staff at the resort were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone!

There prices were very high for the services you get no one specializes in one thing its NOT the people who perform the services at all they’re doing exactly what they have been taught it’s the big shots who are doing there job to make sure it’s a real spa which it is NOT

Its just not what it used to be. When the property was the Royal it was great and deserving of its 5 stars. Then Hilton took over and cheapened the experience. Suddenly things cost extra, everything was less inclusive. Now that Hyatt took over its even worse. The liquor and food quality has dropped. They try to upset everything. Its still nice but definitely not what it used to be. Not sure if we'll go back.

Just returned and have to say we had a wonderful time. Staff were welcoming and helpful, our room and all other places in hotel were very clean, and plenty of food options. If your looking to spend time on the beach this may not be the best place for you. The pool was fantastic for us. Found chairs for party of four every day. Nightly shows and karaoke were enjoyable. Also loved proximity to town. Just make sure you shop smart and don’t get taken advantage of. Hyatt Vivid definitely on our list to return.

The pool was amazing. The staff was excellent. Lucas, Javier and Maria were simply the best. They are at Spice buffet. Only negative I can even say is the housekeeping. The bed was always made but we never knew if we would have washcloths or how many. Bathroom floor never seemed swept but all in all we were very pleased with the our stay!!

I’ll start off by saying this resort has some of the best food I’ve ever had at any resort in multiple different countries. It’s that good. Every restaurant was amazing and making reservations was easy, the servers were attentive at all of them. Our rooms were gorgeous, each including a hot tub and a hammock on the balcony. Feel asleep there and it was everything. No smoking on the property except at the front or on the beach. The beach itself is a problem due to the sargassum. Very rocky where the resort is and not safe to swim in with the mess. However maybe in another season, and if they ever expand the beach, it would be a plus. Another thing is there isn’t much nightlife except on fifth avenue (which was a wonderful time) but requires you to spend money. Beware on fifth avenue as they charge fraudulent prices. Overall would come again as the pool, the drinks, the staff, the shows, and the pool parties were wonderful. Room was cleaned daily and 24 hour room service was appreciated. See you again Hyatt Vivid!

My stay at Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding, every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay enjoyable.

The food exceeded my expectations, with a great variety of options and consistently high quality at every restaurant. Every meal felt fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.

One thing that really stood out was how clean and well maintained the entire property was. The rooms, pools, restaurants, and common areas were spotless and clearly cared for with great attention to detail.

If you’re looking for a resort with exceptional service, delicious food, and beautiful, well-kept facilities, I highly recommend Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen. I would definitely return.

Very nice property the vibes were both relaxing yet very fun they always had activities going on at the pool very diverse music like for me in Latina I love bad bunny but they still played American classics for the Americans who honestly 95% of the hotel is white American older crowd couples or groups so we didn’t make many friends this trip a note to keep in mind if you want a poolside cabana those are an extra charge, if you want premium tequila ex:don julio you have to get a cabana to get a full bottle but rental wise for the day 8am-6pm it it’s worth it when most of the activities are at the pool that day and to 5th Ave is very close that’s the best part because you really don’t have to leave at all but to be honest unless it’s à reccomend we place the places we went to were not worth it on 5th Ave get your moneys worth at the hotel because everything was great including room service food which can be hit or miss but this is a great place for relaxation and fun not much partying

This property, as well as the staff, exceed my expectations! I 100% recommend this property for couples or big groups. The property is beautiful, very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The property does need a better “nightlife,” but Quinta Avenida is a very short walk away if that’s what you’re looking for! The location of this hotel is stellar. This hotel is definitely worth the price!!!

The hotel is in walking distance of the ferry and shopping. They have several on site restaurants. The quiet pool is nice to get away for noise of the party pool. Suck they will charge $10 for room service now. Also the timeshare being pushed on gets is kind of crappy.

The room was always clean, and they were there by mid morning most of the time. The staff was fabulous as they were very accommodating and friendly. We had a room upgrade when we got there as we had no idea! Our room was huge!
The pool was also great. If you were there in the morning, beverage a problem finding a place to sit. Some rented the cabanas and it looked like the service was exquisite! I spent two hours at the spa and I can’t say enough good about it. Lucia was a fabulous massage therapist if you want deep tissue massage! I highly recommend her! The food was wonderful! We especially loved the shrimp cocktail at the restaurant called Pelicanos! A small hut close to the pool had wonderful Pome salads, pizza and sandwiches. You are two blocks from 5th Ave. an easy walk. I highly recommend the Hyat Vivid! We will return!

The Hyatt Vivid was fabulous!!! This was our first time there… we have visited other resorts in the past 15 yrs, we’ve been to the El Dor…, The Valen….. Imp…, The Ri. Pa…, and I will say, we really loved the atmosphere at the Vivid. Food and drinks were great! The staff was on point.. especially Roberto by the pool (5 Stars for him!) Fonzi and Ezekiel were amazing bartenders!!!! We loved the activities and the entertainment by the pool during the day and the shows at night were Amazing!!!!! Fifth Avenue was just a 2 minute walk which we always visit and it was so nice not to have to get a taxi to get there. The entire resort was emaculate and so easy and convenient to get around. The rooms were huge, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the ac kept us cool at night, ( usually an issue at other resorts) We enjoyed the mixture of all ages ( no kids) there! We will definitely be back for sure!!! The Vivid did not disappoint!!

Hyatt Vivid is a beautiful resort with amazing amenities and friendly staff. The pool areas are very well maintained and clean. The food selections/restaurants are good although, we did not try the steakhouse for the additional $120 fee. The downside of the resort is the disappointing beach area. It basically does not exist. The surrounding walkable shops are mixture of knock off brands, pharmaceutical stores, Mexican souvenirs or bars. Sadly, the area is not the cleanest and after about an hour of walking, we were done. The vacation was nice but, would most likely not go back to Playa Del Carmen.

Beautiful luxury resort in Playa Del Carmen. The property is extremely well-maintained with modern amenities, and the staff were very polite and helpful. This was our first-time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of food and drinks available at each of the restaurants. A favourite was the Aromas cafe, which had amazing iced coffees and ice-cream!

We opted for a suite with a hot tub, which was excellent. As it was our honeymoon, the hotel not only organised wine and dessert on our arrival, but also offered a complimentary dinner at their fine dining restaurant, which we greatly enjoyed and appreciated.

The only significant detractors from the experience was vast amounts of seaweed, which created a horrible smell and made the beach inaccessible, and being approached immediately and repeatedly to visit a sister hotel for a sales presentation. Thankfully, the pools were super clean and we loved the swim-up bar. Overall, we had an excellent time and would highly recommend the hotel for a luxurious and pleasant stay!

Also, didn’t like how some of the staff singled us out trying to get us out of the hotel most days and do excursions when all we wanted to do is relax.

This was a solo trip and I felt completely safe at this property. Customer service was amazing and everyone was very helpful. It’s lot of fun activities inside and outside the area. Although I'd read the reviews, the reality was even better! Everything was superb. The water zumba/aerobics, (Hey, Aranza & Dulce!) the pool games,(Hey, Sam & Benjamin!) the music, (great DJ) the Mayan dancers (God bless Sabrina & all the dancers! Such beautiful & sweet women), the foam parties, etc. all came together to make each day fun filled and entertaining. We haven't had this much fun in many years and we thank each and every one of the entertainment staff for making this a wonderful week. Then, each evening, the shows were a great surprise with acrobats, silk dancers, masquerades, etc. all comparable to a Cirque du Soleil show on a smaller scale. The only suggestion I would have is to perhaps turn the microphones down a bit in volume when the tenors are singing. It was just too loud to fully enjoy it. The pool could use a good regrouting but that did not affect our stay. The food was very good everywhere, the rooms were clean. the A/C was cold & the showers were hot with plenty of pressure. I cannot say enough good things about our stay & we will most definitely return! Thank you!!

We had a wonderful trip and would comfortably say this is the best all inclusive resort we have stayed at. We travel a lot and pay attention to the “little” things which this hotel excelled at. The cleanliness, level of service, quality and variety of food and drinks are just a few things that stood out. We appreciated the two pools: one quiet and the other with more of a party atmosphere. The entertainment team does a good job at engaging people who want to participate without being pushy. The nighttime shows are wonderful and entertaining. The food at the buffet and à la carte restaurants is really wonderful with lots of options to choose from. We appreciated that the staff were not pushy for reviews or tips which we have found to be the case at other resorts. That suggests to me that all the positive reviews you read here are genuine as opposed to being the result of pushy staff who encourage you to mention them by name. We have seen this first hand at other resorts in Mexico as well as in the DR. It was refreshing to experience this level of service without the expectation of either generous tips or positive reviews.

The rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. If you are a beach person, the beach is a little rocky and the seaweed can be a bit of a problem but this is not a reflection of the hotel.
