The place is nice and you definitely get what you pay for. Rooms were well air conditioned and staff was extremely friendly / helpful. A lot of restaurants and shops were in walking distance. Be mindful that they don’t offer breakfast here, but everything else like the pool and hot tub were great!

Excelente lugar, para familias, la cocina completa, el área de lavado también, lo que ayuda a viajar lijero, ya que ahí mismo puedes lavar tu ropa, si vaz con gastos limitados también, puedes hacer despensa y cocinar el desayuno y cena en la suite, buen estacionamientos, estuve en junio los precios fueron excelentes 3 adultos 2 niños. pegado a la quinta avenida y a mitad de el camino de todos los parques turísticos y a unos metros de la playa, su alberca y jaccusi buenos

Me encanto el jardin y las plantas en toda la propiedad, se siente todo tan natural. Habia fauna local en el hotel lo cual le dio un plus extra. La alberca limpia al igual que el jacuzzi. Excelente ubicacion, justo a media cuadra de la 5ta avenida. Cuenta con estacionamiento seguro. El personal muy muy amable y la habitacion impecable. Sin duda volveria a hospedarme ahi.

Being close to restaurants and shopping was really nice, the covered parking was secure, and the kids enjoyed the pool.

However, we paid about $100 more to stay in the big house specifically for quiet and relaxation but we woke up to workers and jackhammering right outside our back window and it was unpleasantly noisy all morning. I understand construction needs to be completed but there was no warning on the website or from staff and I would have preferred moving rooms to a quieter part of the hotel than waking up to that. Really disappointing.

I would recommend this place otherwise.

We stayed in a private bungalow, which was a really unique twist on the typical hotel room experience. The moment you walk onto the property, you completely forget you’re in Playa del Carmen, it feels like you’re immersed in the jungle. The atmosphere was peaceful, lush, and incredibly relaxing while still being close to everything. One block from 5th Avenue. A perfect mix of nature and comfort.

Right on 5th avenue which was great. 3 blocks to mamitas beach. Place was very roomy and clean. AC worked very well. We used the laundry room right before we left to Cancun for another 3 days which was helpful as we did not had to packed very light. The only downside, if you are a light sleeper or wake up early, it is very noisy till about 1am maybe 2am as there is 1 club that is right there that has live music every day. Other than that geat stay

If you like to share your room with roaches then you will be okay. Day 2/5 saw something on the wall, killed it didn’t have my glasses on, did not realized it was a roach. Day 4 saw a the same thing , this time had my glasses on . Confirmed roach. Last day saw 3 roaches told Erendira at check out and she said why didn’t I report it. Told her what would you have done she said “fumigated” exactly why I didn’t say anything. Why would I want to breath in or have my clothes contaminated. I knew they would not move me to another suite.

Very unique, quiet and quaint adorable place. Very pleased with the service. Attentive. Bungalows very spacious! Very secluded in the beautiful foliage and trees. The only suggestion I would add is to clean leaves out of pool and pool deck daily at the least.
We would absolutely stay here again.

The property is gorgeous and so close to the beach and restaurants. We had the king bungalow tucked into the jungle landscape. Very private and quiet. My only complaint would be that the water pressure was not fantastic in the shower. I have found this to be typical in the area. I did not bring it up to the hotel staff as it was not a big deal, just a nuisance when trying to wash my hair. The room has mosquito repellent lotin but it is with citronella. You will definitely want something stronger if you plan to hang out in the hammock and are a mosquito magnet like me! Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we would book here again.

I enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The hotel was literally steps away from 5th Ave, which is where almost everything is found at Playa del Carmen. Staff at the hotel were friendly. I must admit I would have Iiked the floor of the hotel room to be a little cleaner. However all in all I liked the hotel and would stay here again.

Great choice in Playa del Carmen. The location is excellent. You are close to 5th Ave, but away from the super touristy part in the center. Mamitas beach is a five minute walk and the hotel will lend you beach chairs and umbrellas. The staff is very friendly, rooms are spacious and clean. There is daily cleaning and lots of towels. My kids loved the towel Art. No problems with hot water. The pool is wonderful and was never busy. There is a hot tub. I would recommend a garden view room as it is very quiet and the balconies are large with hammocks for relaxing.

We loved our weeklong stay here. The rainforest vibe and secluded pools and waterfalls were just the atmosphere we wanted, and the location away from the beach in a quiet neighborhood was as very appealing. We had a room with a garden and soaking tub that gave the place the feel of an expensive boutique hotel for a fraction of the cost. The breakfast included with our room was small but excellent, and we made good use of the bar's happy hour. Superb margaritas!

We were more than comfortable at the Riviera Maya. We loved the aesthetic, every night felt like we dozed off in the jungle. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Every day our bed was made, our towels freshened and our floors cleaned. We had a suite with a balcony and hammock that was great for relaxing. It’s right down 5ta Ave but once you’re in the hotel you wouldn’t even feel it as it is secure. We’ll definitely be staying again and bringing our parents! Oh and definitely take advantage of their partnership with Fragata Beach Club. It’s a small place but it is very modern, clean, well staffed and just an excellent experience.

Amazing place to stay in Playa del Carmen. The property has a beautiful tropical concept that makes you feel surrounded by nature, with palm trees and lush vegetation all around. Our one-bedroom apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped, with a lovely terrace and hammocks that made the experience even more relaxing.

The location is excellent! Only one block from Fifth Avenue with many restaurants and shops, and one block from the beach. The pool area is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended!

Cons:
We started in room 122, a palapa room. Beautiful space but club noise was intolerable. Moved to 126, also palapa. Beautiful space. Club noise loud, but tolerable. But in a cold snap in Playa room was FREEZING overnight. Staff provided extra blankets but we were pretty uncomfortable.

Recommend the hotel, but not the palapa rooms.

Wonderful for our family! Had a great time. Location is great, close to the beach, restaurants, town, very walkable. Appreciated the transportation service to and from the airport, well worth it. Be sure to message the hotel on whatsapp at least 2 to 3 days before you go, so the ride can be set up and you can discuss details, it is necessary.
One thing to know, the pool outside is not heated, which in the winter season means it was quite chilly so we did not use it. The hot tub was heated and became warm for us by midday, we enjoyed it several times. We understand from speaking to other tourists that this is common in the winter for other pools also. The beds were a bit firmer than we are used to, but we all still got good sleep. Everyone was very kind and helpful, they also accommodated us in English which we appreciated, and things are kept very clean. Adorable towel animals after housekeeping came, our child loved them. It feels like a family place, not a giant resort. It was a very relaxed way to visit the area. Very safe also.

We would recommend softer mattresses on the beds. Very hard and a choice between a fat pillow and a thin pillow. We did ask.oir housekeeper for a different one which she foind for us. The washer presssure in the shower was not good nor hot. But other than that we loved it. We appreciated the gallon of drinkable water as well

Only thing to look out for is our place (room 305) was facing the street, so loud live music every night until 2-3am in morning. Windows in place had no sound insulation. Hard to fall asleep every night without ear plugs.

I enjoyed my stay at Riviera Maya suites. Location for me was perfect. We were able to walk every where without getting so tired or lost. The room was simple yet it fulfilled all our needs. We came back to a clean room every day. The pool area was always clean and free from rowdy crowds. It was very enjoyable. And the easiness of ordering your transportation from airport and back right through the hotel reservation made my stay run smoothly with no worries. There is a taxi service around the corner if you need it. Overall I would 100% come back again to visit this property!

Riviera Maya Suite is located near the busy 5th Av. so very accessible to restaurants and also is very close to the beach. The personnel is very amicable and very helpful. The property gives you a feeling of being in the jungle. The yards, pool area brings calm and serenity. Overall a great place to stay for a no frills/simple way of living.

What a lovely stay! My boyfriend and I did the apartment, and it was extremely convenient to do laundry every day! They provided detergent and other necessities. The staff were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. My only gripe was that we upgraded from the bungalow, which while beautiful, had bugs but that was expected from the style of housing.

Honestly, this was the best trip of my life. The room was as advertised; huge, spacious, great bathroom, nice kitchen full of all of what you need to cook. The property is STUNNING and literally, so close to everything you need. Grocery, 5th Avenue, Laundry and Banks.

Staff weas incredibly friendly and always smiling. Also, the two resident kittys quickly helped me from missing my own cat lol I couldn't recommend this place enough!

The bungalow we rented had privacy from the rest of the facility. It had nice hot water, a mini split AC, and ceiling fans. It also had a front porch with a couple of hammocks. The swimming pool was a few steps away. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The hotel is around the corner from 5th Ave where all the restaurants and bars are located, luckily there is hardly any noice at night from the clubs. I would definitely be back here on my next trip to Playa Del Carmen!

At my departure I had no choice but to order a transportation (taxi) from the front desk for the airport.
To my surprise the driver asked me for my passport as a security requirement of the co. The driver took a picture from his phone camera of my passport. I found it unusual and worrisome - Otherwise your group was very FRIENDLY and courteous
