The restaurants are great, tasty food with outstanding customer service.

Great pool and beach, however, the service at these places is not the best, it takes a lot of time to be served.

First night we had an issue where the AC was condensing the room and the humidity was out of control to the point that floor, walls and furniture were wet, they sent a maintenance personnel to try to fix it, however, after two hours, the issue showed up again. At 1 am, we were moved to another room, if well it was an upgrade with an ocean view, it was a two bed instead a king bed, they told us that they were going to move us to a room with a king size but that didn’t happen.

In general is an ok hotel, but for the price, you will expect something better.

We had a wonderful vacation, and the property was nice. The staff were helpful and attentive. Food was quite good, particularly the Italian concept. The pool area is tight, and although we were there on a lower attendance time, I could imagine it being tough to find room.

Overall, the experience was good. Playa Del Carmen is its own thing... like most Mexican/ Caribbean spots, the vendors are aggressive almost to the point of seeming threatening, but things are very mellow on property, and they genuinely try to make your stay social.

Very nice for a long weekend, but probably not suited for extended stays, unless you intend to do excursions. Recommended.

Everything about this resort is absolutely stunning. The food, the drinks, exceeded our expectations, very aesthetically pleasing. The Baristas in the coffee shop were all amazing, went out of their way to satisfy our coffee needs. We were there to celebrate my birthday and the amount of times I got celebrated just walking down the hall was heart warming. The room was decorated beautifully, birthday cake, birthday cards, champagne, I was even given another birthday letter on my last day. The rooms were very clean, house keeping did a great job cleaning our room every day.
I just can’t wait to go back ! Thank you so much Devossion staff.

I celebrated my birthday at Devossion and I cannot say enough about the resort overall. The staff was so warm, welcoming, accommodating & went above & beyond to make me feel celebrated! I had a different surprise every day! The food was just as amazing as the service & there was something for everyone. I had one of the best massages I ever had at the spa & the spa amenities were beautiful! I will definitely be returning.

My husband and I had an AMAZING time during our 5-night stay at Devossion. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, from the front desk staff to our waiters to our bartenders. Service is definitely #1 here. We loved our room, but we spent most of our time out and about on the property or on excursions to nearby locations (Akumal, Cozumel, and Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen). Food and drinks were all delicious, and the property is so well-maintained. They presented us with a small cake and special drinks after mentioning we were celebrating an anniversary, which was so thoughtful. Special shout-outs to Paloma, Natan, and the spa staff - including masseuses Lia and Rose - for exceptional service. Nami, the Asian restaurant, and the Cenote Spa are must-visits. I hope to be able to return here again in the future!

Service and the crew were excellent. Room was clean but needs some upgrades . Mirror was old grey spots, bathroom and shower glass brown residue.
Breakfast buffet is 2** absolutely not good. Taquitos was old, tamale’s dry. Waffles thick and tasteless.
The other restaurants were fine.
Definitely not even close quality like Live Aqua in Cancun.

I’ve been to lots of resorts before, but this one is a bit unique. The mascot is a penguin super cute the scented toilet paper 😂 they sprayed your bed and robe with a scented linen spray loved it! When leaving the room in the evening, they would come in and prepare your room for bed. I never had a bad meal. From the restaurant manager Augustin who greeted us every day knew us by name. All the sweet servers Jonathan, Victor, Lazaro attention to detail they made my mom’s birthday so memorable. Also the pool servers Gerard and Jose are so attentive I will miss every single one of them. Never went to the beach due to the storms, but overall the breathless views of the beach and resort 10/10. I joined there subscription so I can travel all there other resorts worldwide. But I can’t wait to revisit Devossion in playa never disappointed. Cheers!

A wonderful experience until our 3rd visit to Carnivore where I was told I could not be seated w my open toe leather sandals on! This was our favorite dinner spot.My manicured toes had not been a problem previously.Tonight the hostess had been told by one of the male staff not to seat me. I regret not getting his name but the manager is aware of the incident. I am a mature woman who dresses nicely and appropriately for all occasions. My husband was seated while I went to put on silly tennis shoes because ALL of my sandals were open toe—as expected at a beach resort in the summer time. I returned & found him at a bad table next to a couple who both had on sandals with toes out. The man had on flip flops. I sat & watched other couples come in w flip flop & other sandals on.Clearly I was singled out by the supervisor at the door who instructed the hostess.He witnessed me get turned away & was still there when I returned-smug look on his face. My filet mignon was not the previous tender tasty cuts I had twice before. Our personal waiters were all VERY friendly & courteous—no complaints there. I looked around & saw I was surrounded by customers w toes out.I finally became so upset left! I am an attractive well dressed black woman who was clearly singled out that night by a bad supervisor who ruined my night & should be fired.But for him-great restaurant!

My biggest complaint was the gym. Every lower body machine was broken and folks have said its like this for many months. Also NEED air conditioning in Azure restaurant. It was so uncomfortable in there. Otherwise great time.

Pepe and Evelyn are amazing! They both made the Italian restaurant a special place. The front desk people that work overnight are not the nicest bunch. However the day staff was amazing. They need better poolside activities because the days are the pool are not as social as they could be. This is NOT a party resort. It’s perfect if you are a couple or social solo traveler who wants to be steps away from 5th avenue. This is by far the best rest to be at when it comes to access to nightlife outside the resort. That’s what makes it unique. Overall good experience. Coming back in June

I’ve stayed at quite a few all inclusive resorts across various destinations in Mexico, this one was by far the best experience I’ve had Food was amazing our room was in good condition for a 10 year old property but the 2 main highlights for me were the location and the extremely helpful staff, regardless of room category or status level it seemed like all guests were treated the same. It’s a smaller resort so everything feels a little more personal and upscale, no reservations for dinner no towel cards for the pool just take as many as you need, room service arrives in 20-30 minutes and house keeping is very consistent. Special shoutout to Mel and Erik, best entertainers I’ve encountered at a resort.. Chepo and Miguel at the pool deck for keeping our drinks full all day and Santos at the Italian restaurant! Will be staying here again.

Beware of the undercooked bacon for breakfast at Liberti. Two mornings with undercooked bacon and two lunches with undercooked pork chops. Bed in 456 is very firm and dirty. Sliding glass door is old and fogged over blocking a nice ocean view. Husband got sick from the food. I waited on a pizza for over an hour and a half at the bar and it never came. We checked out two days early and would not recommend.

I’ve stayed at Hyatt Vivid (next door) and I thought it was great. While walking at the beach, looking at Devossion by Live Aqua, it didn’t seem too attractive.

However, this time we decided to give at chance.
By just simply walking in into Devossion (front entry) it takes your breath away. The view of the ocean from the front desk (checking in) is AMAZING!!!!!

I felt in love at first sight with this resort.
The views, the restaurants, the ambiance, their customer service…. Everything that you need to relax. I will definitely be back and strongly recommend.

The views from the hotel from any angle, is AMAZING… lets not forget the views during the night, FANTASTIC!

Service was all-around 5 stars. Food was exceptional at every restaurant.
Only downside was the beach. Not as nice as Cancun but they make up for it with the numerous infinity pools.
Rooms are modern, spacious and super clean.
Atmosphere is calm and not overcrowded like most all inclusive hotels. Not the typical “americanized” hotel experience. We really felt an authentic mexican vibe (mexican owned hotel👌).

The staff throughout the resort were outstanding! The entertainment staff ( Ana , Erik and Marlon ) were stand outs . The food was good but limited to 3 restaurants for dinner most nights . The rooms were very sparsely furnished there was nowhere to put your luggage or really sit down . The mini bar did not keep the drinks cold . The resort did nothing to really celebrate our honeymoon even though they were advised prior . We weren’t looking for much but a lot would have been nice . All in all a very nice resort .

The property was gorgeous. It was never very good for someone with mobility issues. They had no dinner buffets, the food options ib our opinion were not good at all. We even ate outside of the resort because the food was not good. We got served water with no ice constantly. I paid for a swim out pool and the ladder only had 2 small steps which we could barely get in and out. The staff was all very friendly. Overall I just probably wouldn’t return because of the price I paid wasn’t worth it with everything we experienced

I have been to Mexico several times. This was, by far, the best resort I have ever been to. We loved everything about it! The staff are absolutely incredible. They treated us like family! The food was unbelievable...absolutely delicious! The resort was spotless, very clean and well taken care of. The rooms were extremely comfortable and beautiful. There is a peace at this resort that I have never felt at any other place.
The staff... Fransisco, Antonio, Alexis, Daniel, Guilermo(Jerry)...and especially Katherine, Ignacio, and Pepe...were the kindest, happiest, and hardest working people we have ever met. We loved getting to know them, and honestly, they felt like family by the time we left. We were sad to leave them.
We will be back some day soon. If you have a chance to go to Devossion by Live Aqua Playa del Carmen, take it. You won't be disappointed! Best resort in Mexico!!!!

Great stay overall, clean, relaxing, and friendly staff. The resort is right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, making it easy to go out and explore every day. Would definitely come back.

This resort was phenomenal! So clean, staff was so attentive, and friendly. I have to mention the restaurants and the food. Even though you go to a 4-5 start resort, the food can sometimes be a hit or miss but this resort, the food was outstanding! They were so consistent, not one restaurant I could say that wasn't good. The pools were great, beautiful view overlooking the ocean, and the service poolside was on point. Thank you for a great experience!
