Great for solo travelers, close to everything, right on the beach. Parking is a bit spotty and they will keep moving your bike around (not a huge problem but I don't like my bike touched without permission). Wouldn't recommend for families or people wanting some peace as people keep coming and going all night long.

Rooms clean, sometimes they do miss out daily cleaning, staffs good, I had bad experience with the bar staff though ( I did reported it). Beach views are ok but don’t expect much in comparison with other resorts around, not many facilities. Air conditioning is good

So, yes, this is very expensive for a hostel. Approx £40 per night for a dorm room. However, I cannot fault the facilities. The rooms, the lockers, the showers, the staff, the two pools, the bar area, direct access to the beach and sea. Bar is too expensive though. Had a great stay.

Staffs are very nice, location is good, Small hotel small room we booked deluxe king I know it high season we pays over US$200/night Not worth it😕No conditioner in room they don’t provide! Bring your own! Hotel only has 2 towels in room no face towels no hand towels you have to ask if needed the hotel only give us 1 key card if you need more you have to deposit (I have never seen this policy before)

Know before you book: This is both a hostel and a hotel geared towards young singles with a focus on the social aspect.

I stayed in a private room. Very spacious, clean, and a decent view of the pool and ocean.

Convenient access to the beach, shopping, and dining. On site bar and restaurant - which can be a bit loud at night, but again, Lub d is focused on the social aspect.

Hostel was good, kept clean. Decent breakfast for the price. They have loungers on the beach but note they play loud music in the afternoon, so do the beach clubs either side so you hear 2 loud songs being played at the same time all afternoon if you are on the beach- it got a bit jarring. Perhaps others would enjoy that atmosphere.

Fabulous resort , I recently spent a month there . Unfortunately, the front deck was off limits because of repairs required .
Place was always clean, staff always had a smile on their face and location was perfect .

The main issue is that it's quite noisy at night. Also they promote a few special offers but then they end up not honouring most of them. Disappointing :(

Well-maintained property with lots of facilities, a big pool and right on Chaweng beach. Rooms are nice and washrooms clean. The staff is helpful but a lot of them know little or no English, which makes communication difficult since most guests are foreigners!

This property was sparkling clean & very well maintained. The staff was so nice & helpful, and there were a couple of cute kitties hanging around reception that added to the positive vibes. The rooms were surprisingly soundproof against the construction site next door - however, the guy in the room next to mine blared music all night & I had to ask the staff to tell him to keep it down. Not sure why he stayed in his room partying when the party could be easily found on the premises or in one of the dozens of clubs/bars steps from the resort. I will note that the crowd here is VERY young. As a 42-year-old solo traveler who intentionally chose a hostel hoping to meet other solo travelers, I felt like a creepy old woman as all the other guests were in their late teens/20's. So would not recommend this if you're over 30 - you will stand out and not in a good way. Also not recommended for families - this is a place to party hard, not for relaxation.

Location was perfect, beach is perfect, but here are some issues: The bar and breakfast staff are not friendly at all and kind of rude. I stayed in a beach view room for about $280 USD per night but at breakfast when I was going for a second cup of coffee I was told I can only have one. Another time I asked for a beach towel and they said they ran out and when I asked how come they don't have enough towels for the guests she yield at me and left...

Also, they use these credit card type room keys like many other hotels. I lost my room key and they charged me 200 Baht (about $7) for a piece of plastic room card key which are basically free to replace in all the hotels that I have been in 50 countries...

Clean hostel! Toilets and showers cleaned every couple of hours. Amazing views from the pool and a clean beach. Staff was not friendly, and the hostel is all about money making - food and drinks too pricey for a hostel, outside rates were better. Overall really good though!

Amazing staff and location, but noisy night

The hotel is overall good: great staff, convenient location, clean room, beautiful beach and nice pool.

However, I couldn’t sleep at night because of the washing machines on my floor. People do laundry at midnight causing some annoying noise. Quite pissed off about it.

Very nice to young people, small pool party at noon, snooker, tennis table, bar in the pool, beach, smart tv in the room.
No breakfast time, you can take advantage of your breakfast any time you want.
Very nice and helpful staff.

Simple breakfest by order (not buffet), room wasnt so clean when we arrived but they clean it when we asked. Nice pool. The closest beach wasnt that clean so we needed tovwalk on the beach 300 meters to better area.

Great location! Staff are so friendly, and there are many activities planned and recommended by Lub D.. Perfect laze cushions by the beach, infinity pool, awesome DJ spins every night. It's the perfect stay for the price we paid for. Will recommend it to everyone going to Koh Samui. Keep it up guys!

Right on the beach, directly in the heart of all the action that the Chaweng area has to provide. It was absolutely amazing! Only minutes from the airport, it is the perfect location. Beach is stunning. Warm, crystal clear water. No rough surf as there is a rock cliff 100+m off shore. Perfect for swimming. Staff were amazing, attentive to every need. 2 pools, one of which has a pool bar, and the other facing the ocean.
Spent 2 nights in a dorm, and 3 nights in a private room. Only 8 beds in the dorm, but with the privacy curtain, you feel as though you're the only one. As for someone who has spent a lot of time in hostels, this one had some or the nicest shared bathrooms that I've seen!
The private rooms were great. You would think that you're staying in a 4 star hotel. One of the comfiest beds I've ever been on !
Every night there is an activity to be had, and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel involved.
I honestly cannot stress enough how great this hostel was. Next time I'm in Koh Samui, I'll definitely stay at Lub D!!

Wow - I love this hostel. I booked a private room and it was exactly as pictured. The room was clean, comfy and modern. The location is right on the beach and there are two swimming pools as well. The overall atmosphere at Lub D is fun and hip. The DJ is awesome, wifi is outstanding, and even if you aren't the "partying type" you'll still enjoy your stay. I had no problems with noise and would highly recommend staying here.

Awesome stay at Lub D @ Chaweng!!

Lub D is simply a great hotel to stay at! Its new, it has a beautiful beachfront, it has great facilities & this hotel is perfectly located in the heart of all the action! Soi Green Mango & Hard Rock is just a few mins walk away! Pls try out SON SAMUI seafood restaurant for lobsters, crabs & fish... one of the best!!

This hotel is neighbours with ARK BAR BEACH RESORT where the beach partys are awesome! You also get to have your b'fast (1 meal) antytime between morning till evening!

A special tq to Ms Koi at frontdesk & Mr Tonh at housekeeping. They were very helpful!

Cons: the sewerage smell from the entrance of hotel, till the 2nd floor of Building 1 is overwhelming & something really needs to be done about it. Also, service by staff at pool area/b'fast could definitely be better in terms of responsiveness & being a bit friendlier. Biggest bummer for me was not being able to charge my drinks to my room?? Am i supposed to be carrying cash or card in & out of pool or beach?

But seriously, beside that, i would still highly recommend Lub D @ Chaweng Koh Samui! Its very nice!

It was amazing!
But I want to mention we booked the boat ticket from the agent just at the hotel entrance. We couldn't collect the ticket because they didn't pay the office at the pier. So we nearly missed the ferry:( not good. If anyone reads this, you can buy the ticket at the pier office for 300 B instead of through the agent.
