Lost power our second night in, they didn’t get the elevators turned back on so being on the 3rd floor we couldn’t leave our room, if we did we couldn’t get back in without finding someone to let us in.
The shower was the worst shower I’ve ever experienced in my life, it was like taking a shower with the last 3 drops of a water bottle.
Hair on the floors and in the tub.
No comforter, and 2 towels I had to keep returning in order to get new ones cause “there’s no housekeeping”

I have stayed at this hotel twice this year and each time I have enjoyed my stay. The staff on both occasions have been very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quiet and I although I'm usually out late due to a concert or dinner I love how the doors are locked at a certain time and you have to call to get in. Even when you call you are let in almost immediately. Whener I'm in the area I will stay here again.

The carpet has worn holes in it. There are NO dishes; the cupboards are bare. This is an extended stay hotel! I changed rooms because the first one smelled like cigarette smoke even though the staff had propped the window open. The second room wasn’t much better. I do not recommend anyone staying here.

The staff was very friendly and pleasant. The main issue was cleanliness. There was hair on the hand towel and counter in the bathroom. That just made everything else feel not so clean. Also, the deadbolt was not able to lock on the door.

This property is dirty and outdated. My bedsheets had a pair of used socks laying in it. The shower was moldy. The kitchen didn’t have any plates, cups, cookware, utensils. The front desk told us they were sold out of kitchen ware. The area around the hotel feels unsafe too. Would not recommend!!

This is a terrible property, and it should not be listed with Expedia. It is dirty and run down. The carpets are absolutely filthy, countertops had holes and stains, and the bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Obviously would never return.

Staff was very friendly. Regular police patrolling the area. Could use a little minor maintenance (chain lock on my door was broken). Water to entire facility was shut off one morning without warning for approx. 90 minutes starting about 9 am - would have been really annoying if I was in the shower.

This property was dingy. The staff was very nice but the property needs upgrading! The first room we got put into smelled like cat pee it was horrible. No amount of spray could mask the scent that was coming from
The carpet. Me and my partner could bare to sleep in that. They upgraded our room for free, the upgrade was better but everything was old in there. The hallways had a funky smell to them. Thank goodness the staff was nice that’s the only good thing I really can say about it.

Rooms incredibly shabby.
No bathtub plug for bathing.
Formica countertops stained & nicked.
Switched rooms due to broken flatscreen-video went ignored by staff member who then flippantly was ‘being helpful’ by offering a new room while blatantly ignoring video.
Beds comfy with clean linens.
I had mistakenly booked a non refundable 2nd night before encountering the shamefully inhospitable behavior of the staff member and having to switch rooms.

The positives: The location of this Extended Stay America is excellent, in proximity to the Hampton Coliseum area. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The AC unit in the room worked great and was not very loud. The bed was comfortable. The negatives: The lobby was small, unappealing, and looked dirty. Walls and floors throughout the building were scarred, marked, and dirty. The elevator was dirty, noisy, and moved awkwardly. The air in our room was damp, the bedsheets felt damp. (Running the AC with the covers pulled back for a few hours fixed this.) Like the hallway carpets, the room carpet looked well worn and stained. The television was small. The bathroom was clean, but everything appeared outdated and overused. Overall, the stay made us cringe and say \"Never again.\"

The pic of room showed a full stove and oven, it didn't have one. We were given a room with a broken cooktop. We demanded another room in which we got, only to have someone try to enter our room at 1 am. The counter person claimed she accidentally given a key to our room to someone the later that morning said it was her doing room checks. So the second night I rented we barely slept and left 7 hours before check out. The areas around the facility is scetchy and you don't feel safe walking around. Not a good place to stay

At check in it was stated that coffee and danish would be available and that was not available - we checked out at 10:30 am. Baseboards filthy. Would not recommend. Staff was very nice and polite but the building needs work - renovation.

Overall, the workers were nice and friendly. We were in a budget, and for what we paid it was fine. HOWEVER, the female genitalia print marked in bodily fluids on the computer chair in the room was where I drew the line. I wasn’t expecting perfection, but at least a reasonably clean space. Also, use heightened awareness regarding the outside hotel environment.

Cheaper than some places, but l’d go elsewhere

I had to drive completely around the entire building, at night, to find where the entrance to the Lobby was, and then there was no available parking near the entrance to check-in, so l had to drive around the corner of the building to park, which made me uneasy as there were three males hanging out in the parking lot. I was disappointed that there was some bits of something in the bathtub when l ran the water to pre-rinse it, but mire surprised when l saw blackhair floating up the drain. Also, the big kitchen had no plates, cutlery or coffee maker, but there was a sign in the kitchen stating that you could request them from the front desk. The people at the front desk were easily accessible both when l checked in and checked out. The room was quiet, and AC worked well and was quieter than most units at other hotels l’ve been in. The dressers were worn (chipped and stained in the drawers), but the beds were fine (a bit too firm to my liking) and the sitting chair was in good shape too. Closet was huge! It was well stocked with towels and bathroom supplies, but one towel had black flecks on it (it was sittingbon the bathroom counter). The carpets needed to be replaced both in the room and hallways as they were worn and stained. Overall, I think in the future l will pay more to stay elsewhere.

Property location is great. Its close to many dining options & shopping. The building itself is ready for a refresh: paint, carpet cleaning, microwave, elevator maintenance, deoderizing, windows that close properly. Its a non smoking building, yet every night (4) I could smell cigarette smoke coming in from the hallway. Management was not available to complain to. Only a front desk employee that said, \"People are hardheaded.\"
I will not be returning!

Front desk associates were very pleasant and provided great customer service. Room was underwhelming based on pictures. Holes in the wall, Old furniture and TV. Floors were dirty so we had to wear shoes the whole time. Pots and pans had Teflon coating peeling off the side.

Hotel is non-smoking but stairwells had cigarette butts in them and the hallways smelled like smoke.

We stayed here so we could bring our dog with us and the hotel is definitely dog friendly but we would not stay here again.

I don't usually do not review hotel stays but I'm making an exception here because of our unique experience. This was the single worst/weirdest check-in I've ever had in my life. The front desk clerk seemed like he was on drugs with his bizarre behavior. Our check-in was delayed by about ½ hour because the clerk couldn't remember his password to log into the IT system. He also locked himself out of the office when he forgot his passkey. Other than that, the room was clean but the contents were poor condition. Example, the microwave/frig were rusted out. The smoke detector was covered with plastic to disable it’s function. Not recommended.

The physical plant needs help--elevator was not working and battery in my door lock was dead, so took 3 trips to front desk (4 flights of stairs) to rekey and finally a lovely woman came in to repair lock. There was another guest with the same problem.

Horrible experience. Upon checkin they booked my room on the 3rd floor, then told us the elevator was broken, (there was only one). No other available rooms on the 1st floor. Key Cards kept malfunctioning so i was locked out everytime i stepped out. There was no cookware in the room. You have to request from the front desk fir it to be delivered, but they made us go down 3 flights of stairs again to pick it up... never again.

My car was taken out parking lot during my stay. Hampton police or hotel wasn’t any help no one could give me any info. The bed was like a sink hole. Bedding stained. Found used condom beside bed. I left out room in morning due to car stolen and had someone get my belongings. Items were missing because they went in room before we actually checked out. For this hotel to be in Coliseum Central and in this condition is ludacris. I had three men trying to get in my door at 2:30 am. Fire alarm hanging out ceiling. Old hair over toilet, bathtub. Last guests garbage was still in garbage can. This is not a safe location beware.

When this place first opened, it was great. I decided to stay here since the major chains were filled; however, I remember this as a reasonable, clean, decently appointed hotel. First, I checked in and they wanted to scan the ID's of all residents. I have never had this experience at the Marriott, Hilton, IHG, etc. This alerted me that they have a problem with security. Next, I went around to the side entrance since this was closer to my room and found that the key hardly worked...when it finally did I couldn't hold the door open for more than a few minutes to get bring in my luggage. Lastly, the room was very dated. They had not renovated their appliances or furnishings. The wood was chipped on the dresser...the bathroom had cigarette burns all over. The boiler or hot water supply is severely limited, and I had to move to a new room to get hot water. The place seemed more like an adult halfway house than a hotel.
