Staff friendly, room has been renovated and was clean. A ground floor room - cons: room smelled very musty. Wall air conditioner has not been cleaned & had black mold/ grim on the vent. Light was on for filter to be changed. I believe this is what made the room smell. I shut the air off & opened window for about 2 hrs which helped. Had to put air back on & small came back. Also air conditioner kept cycling on/off every 5 mins. Annoying when trying to sleep. This was mentioned to staff, as hopefully they address the issue. Other then that the place was decent & great location.

This was a decent place very close to the boardwalk. It was super noisy at night as a lot of the people staying here seemed to be partying until very early in the morning. It is not a place for a decent night's sleep. The staff at the front desk were very nice, but just beware that there is double parking at this hotel and you must leave your keys at the front desk. The office does not open until 8 AM, so if you need to leave to go someplace early, this may not be the place for you. The room was nice but was small. It was a decent room for being that close to the beach though I suppose. There is a family dollar right across the street if you need anything which is nice. If you want a place to stay and aren't looking for a real restful night or just need a place to crash this is a decent option. Not a great hotel for someone with kids though.

Way overpriced for what you get, I guess that’s Wildwood in the summer. Excellent location for being close to everything, but don’t expect much more than that. Parking is closed from 10pm-8am so don’t expect to be able to move your car! Front desk was less than useful or friendly. Would stay here if I had to, but never because I’d want to!

It was an awesome trip. The office staff was nice and the rooms were very clean. Its definitely within walking distance. The only thing is, they have piggy back parking. So, I would recommend pulling all the way forward. If you dont pull forward, you have to leave your keys in the office so the staff can move your vehicle for others to get out.

Check-in process was easy and staff were friendly. The only thing that was an inconvenience was the parking situation. The parking spaces are set up as double parking so there is one car parked in back on the other in the lot. If your car is the second car ( blocking the first car in the lot) you have to leave your car keys in the front office in case they need to move it. Luckily we didnt need to use the car too often during our stay. The hotel is in a great location right across the street from the boardwalk and convention center. There is a bike rental place close by and many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is what you expect from a wildwood motel. Nothing fancy but was clean and had a fridge and microwave. I would stay there again because of the location and nice staff.

Over all this hotel is great the only problem we ran into was that our refrigerator was broken the day we got there but they fixed it right away so I’m very appreciative of that. Also the room was a little smaller than we thought but was still spacious. Also parking is definitely something different. If you are blocking a car in you have to give your key to the front desk so they can move your car if needed. Now I was very hesitant at first about this but the guy at the front desk was young and very friendly so after two days I felt comfortable leaving my keys with him I did make sure to lock up anything I needed to and or bring it in the room if need to. I did feel bad bothering the working when needing my keys to get in my car but it is his job so I know there was no problem. Once again the receptionist was extremely nice and very friendly and understanding and made the stay at the hotel very comfortable. If and or when I’m to go back to wildwood I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Prime location - easy walk to boardwalk/beach, at the south end of the more active zone of the boardwalk. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Family Dollar is a short walk from the hotel. Pool access at their sister property the a Coastal Sands, a short walk from the hotel. Great shower in the bathroom! Kitchen with decent size fridge, microwave, stove burners. Kitchen sink.

Cons: No elevator to upper floors. Ice machine was broken. No pool on property, have to walk to sister property. Parking is TIGHT, cars are piggybacked and if your car blocks another car you must leave keys at front desk so they can move it, and front desk is not 24 hours, so if they have your keys you can't use your vehicle between 12 and 6 AM unless you bring a 2nd set, and if you're blocked in you're SOL and you'll need to call an Uber. The rooms are fairly small, our bathroom was tiny but had a great shower! Also bring plenty of extension cords and power strips for your electronics as outlets are sparse and weirdly located.

Bottom line: there are some quirks, but the location is great, the rooms are adequately clean, beds are comfortable, AC works great, was good for a short stay. And the front desk staff was excellent.

When I went to check in at the Sunset Beach hotel I was told my reservation was not for 7/29/25. I showed them my confirmation from Expedia & they said that on their computer Expedia gave them 7/30/25 as my check in day which was the next day. Then they went on to tell me they had no rooms available. They said Expedia messed up my reservation and I’d have to deal with them. I was very upset because I drove over 2 hours for an event at the convention center which was right across the street from this hotel. They offered me a room at another hotel they were affiliated with a few blocks away. Because I had no other choice I had to accept this room but was very disappointed. As I was checking at this new hotel Coastal Sands Inn. Upon leaving the office after checking I also tripped on a rug on the ground and fell to the concrete causing cuts on both knees. The front desk person offered no help. This overall trip was very disappointing.

Our room however was supposed to have 2 queen beds and it had 2 full beds. I don’t think every “standard room” was this way, we were just a little unlucky.

Although the room he’d been freshly “cleaned,” the floors were dirty and did not seem like they had been cleaned at all.

Abdul did awesome getting our door fixed in a timely manner when we locked our key in our room and he had to let us in and the key card wouldn’t work. It was enough room for myself, my husband and 2 children. The one thing I can say could be improved is no services were done when we had the tag on door asking for some . I walk with a cane and they had us on the third floor which was a lot . Overall the stay was good and we will return. Very conveniently located to the boardwalk and convention center which was where we needed to be.

The check in/out time was not as advertised on the Travelocity app. When trying to leave the office was not open and I had to return several times to catch when the person was working. Which ended up being several hours after the advertised time. Only street parking was available. The stairs required maintenance and didn’t look safe. The room had multiple maintenance issues. There was a moldy smell. There was rust and lime scaling around the doors water fixtures, lamps and thresholds. The bathroom shower did not have hot water. You could see where caulking was used to cover up mold all the way around the tub. The hvac unit was up high and had to stand on a chair to turn it on and adjust the temperature and fan settings. The unit is tremendously loud and was hard to sleep or listen to the TV. The unit had visible black mold and didn’t look like it had been serviced. While in the room it was hard to breathe and needed to leave the door open so fresh airs could circulate in to combat the smell. The TV remote didn’t work and had to adjust the tv with buttons on side of tv.
The ONLY thing that was positive was the location in relation to the event I was attending.

I found it odd the office called me 2 separate times during the day of traveling to Wildwood for my mom's memorial service to ask what time I would be checking in. It later made sense as to why.
When we arrived, we checked into the two rooms, got our room keys and parking passes.
Upon entering the one room, we found old moldy food in the refrigerator, blood in the bath tub, throw up on the toilet and dirty sheets on the bed!
The other room had a dirty washcloth in between the beds on the floor and the room was an ice box!! Mind you it's cold there, it's winter and the AC was set at 60 some degrees. I used a chair to get up to switch it to heat and noticed the entire area where the air blows from was covered black with mold! Which I am highly allergic!! And no comforters on the bed, sheets only.
We went to the office to complain but the office was now closed, hence why he was calling to see what time I would be checking in, so he could leave.
Needless to say we had to go find another hotel, which was perfect and went to hand in the keys etc the next day and explained why we couldn't stay there.
No apology and no refund of any kind when I asked and when Expedia contacted them. I wouldn't have kept my dog there!
And I had family with me from Indiana and Florida... horrible experience to say the least!

We checked in but never stayed. The room was on the first floor and had a strong odor. There also appeared to be some questionable long term residents at the motel who cursed at my wife as we had parked in an unmarked spot I guess they normally use (the parking spaces weren't really shoveled as it had snowed a week before and there was only a limited number of spots). Once my wife smelled the room and experienced the \"resident\" tenants, we left and never returned. We actually drove 40 miles away to stay at a more suitable hotel.
