The only positive thing about this hotel is its location—it’s conveniently located directly across from the convention center. Unfortunately, everything else was a huge disappointment.
The photos shown on the hotel’s website and on Expedia are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. The pictures make the hotel look modern and well maintained, but the reality is completely different. See the photos below and judge for yourself.
Our room was in terrible condition. The entrance door was difficult to open and close and didn’t lock securely, which made us feel unsafe. The kitchenette was oddly placed inside the walk-in closet. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and if it did, it was almost impossible to open from the inside—you had to have someone outside open it for you. The room itself was dirty, and the TV was a tiny screen hanging on the wall.
The amenities were just as disappointing. The hot tub was out of service, and the pool was in poor condition, with paint peeling throughout, making it look neglected and uninviting.
The parking lot is very small, and there was no one available to explain how parking worked, making the experience even more frustrating.
We reported these issues to the front desk, and they told us they would speak with management. Unfortunately, no one ever followed up or addressed our concerns.
We paid over $1,200 for our stay, and it was nowhere near worth the price. The experience felt more like a $60-a-night mote

All the rooms we had were really small however they are newly updated. It took 4 different attempts and new keys each time for one of the rooms we had, overall taking 2 hours to access the room. The staff was nice and helpful, the parking was not at the hotel it was 2 blocks down the road (but it did give us free parking while staying) very close to the beach.

We stayed 4 nights and paid about $2k. Our bathroom door wouldn't close, and the first night we were there the drain in the shower was completely plugged so we couldn't shower (the lip of the tub is so low it doesn't take much to overflow). Staff was pleasant but maintenance didn't fix shower until the next day and we were refused extra towels. The paint was coming off in globs in the pool just floating around, I didn't leave the pool a single time without soggy paint chips on me somewhere.

The perk is the male bartender at the tiki bar was hilarious and very nice. Tiki bar is a great idea, we loved hanging out there. The music was a great touch. The indoor bar was also nice and the pool table was fun (although they also couldn't give you quarters for it so we had to go to the liquor store down the road for change). We had the same bartender at the indoor bar as well as another gentleman and they were both very nice and funny, had a good time there.

In short - personally expected much nicer facility given the price. Definitely needs updating, regular maintenance, and the pool needs a facelift. BUT I hope that bartender gets a raise, he was the best part of our stay!

The front desk was very nice and polite. The rooms were also clean. The rooms are basically to sleep, change, and go. Don't expect anything out of this world. Its your basic wildoods hotel. Its at Great location. And we enjoyed the pool and tiki bar very much. The only thing was we didn't have anywhere to dry clothes and towels because we didn't have a balcony. But are overall stay was pleasant and staff was very nice.

Traveling was myself, wife and 1 year old. We checked in on Thursday night around 5pm and from the second we walked in we could smell dampness. We still gave it a chance. We walked into the elevator and it smelled like weed. Still went up to our room. We got off the elevator and could still smell dampness. We walked into our room and it looked nothing like the pictures that were listed for our room. We had 1 queen and the room was maybe 5x9. The bathroom had painters tape and duck tape on one side of the double sliding glass door that said \"do not use\". It seemed like the door was taped closed and it was the tape keeping it up. Not ideal when having a 1 year old that is on the move. Still gave it a chance.

We woke up Friday morning and went to get breakfast, came back and got ready to go down to the pool. The pool was not very clean. Lots of debris in it but we still gave it a shot. The paint from the bottom of the pool had peeled and it felt like you were walking on seaweed. I immediately got on my phone, booked another accommodation and by 1pm Friday, we just packed up the car and moved on. Left the keys in the room and didn't even bother talking to the front desk.

Was a terrible place. Our room was like a prison cell. Dingy. There was a bed , no night tables or lamps. The only light was a small ceiling light. The tv was not working and heard the cable service man say he could not fix cable as there was an electrical problem. The paint was peeling off the bottom of the pool. The only update was the bathroom but it was small. We did not even stay there but went next door to a different place and got a room. So our weekend cost us double because of paying for 2 places.

Hot tub was broken and the paint is peeling off the pool you were actually swimming in paint flakes everywhere. The only good thing was how nice the bartender manager was to us during our stay.

They advertise hotel parking, but there was only a few spots actually at the hotel. The \"hotel\" parking was a grass/gravel lot almost 2 blocks away. There is no spot to load or unload. They advertise a pool, but it was filled with paint chips as the pool coating was chipping away. I didn't bring children, but other guests were upset that their kids weren't allowed in the pool. (Though I wouldn't have let mine in it with the paint chips anyway.) In the room, other than the bathroom light, the room only had one overhead light, no bedside lights. Only one nightstand and no dresser or drawers. The balcony is so small that you have to tilt the chairs so your knees fit, and it was difficult to seat 2 people. If you want the elevator from the ground floor without also having stairs, you have to walk past the pool, turn left to the hotel laundry, then find the housekeeping elevator to the left. Worst of all, they only supply one-ply toilet paper that disintegrates if you try to use it. Bring your own. Find a different hotel. This one is not worth the money.

We were on the 4th floor and everyone was respectful with being quiet and the maid brought us clean towels each day and refreshed the coffee for my husband. The only I didn’t like was it took forever for the water to get hot or even warm to take a shower and the water for the sink never got warm it stayed cold other than that our stay was wonderful. We plan on coming back next year to this hotel.

Had a queen bed with balcony looking towards a baseball field. Felt catfished! Room was super small with just fridge, no dresser, iron, phone to ask for a towel. Our bed was broken. (Literally was missing pieces underneath so you sank when you laid down.
Balcony was so small that the chairs could not be turned to face forward nor could 2 people sit sideways comfortably. Bathroom so small to use the toilet you had to open shower door and extend your feet. Weirdest most uncomfortable things ever!
Oh and swim up bar is vacant, the hot tub was not even 1/2 way filled and green. Nothing like the pictures but I guess you get what you pay for.
Staff was nice. The owner would sit at front desk and talk ill of staff and customers not realizing that people could hear her when leaving out the backstairs which was sad. Regret not taking pictures but we couldn't wait to leave so we checked out early.
May be ok for some, for us as a family on vacation, we felt dupped. AI pictures should not be allowed because that's what they are showing as advertisement

The concierge from was very rude at the start. My wife and I were rerouted several times In traffic due to the road being blocked off. She tried calling the motel several times to get assistance where we could unload and park so that we could check in at 3pm this past Saturday, but the lines were busy and we were put on hold. After 40 minutes of trying to find a place to park, we finally decided to walk over to the motel to find out a better solution. My wife tried to explain the mishap to the concierge and see if she had a better solution. The concierge was very short and dismissive to my wife. As she tried to explain that we were not from the area and if she could write the parking area that she was directing us to, she was very dismissive toward my wife. We also experienced having a roach come into our room, and I was given a Twin size bed instead of a Queen size bed. The house keepers were very loud, including hearing guest that stayed on the top floor because the walls were very thin. All in all, we would never come back to this motel again.

There was a wooden ramp right outside our room door good thing we didn’t fall over it.The pool paint was coming up and floating around the pool by the afternoon. It needs an upgrade. Nice, convenient location to our intended activity

A very simple room with a nice balcony view of the ocean. The bathroom was quite tiny. The sliding shower door had to be left open in order to use the toilet properly. There were very few hangers in the closet. The only place to sit down inside the room was on the bed. One side had a small low table that was used as a nightstand. The other side had nothing. We brought in a chair from the balcony to place my suitcase on. The other choice was the floor. There was no dresser for drawer space. We had to leave most clothes in the suitcase. The balcony floor got wet with the use of the AC unit. The balcony door did not seem secure. There were horizontal plexiglass / glass slabs which allowed air to freely flow inside the room. The breeze was AMAZING especially when we were able to prop the room door and the balcony door open!! The rug was very dated and seemingly (visibly) dirty.

We got a \"retro refurbished\" ocean view room. It had a balcony which we were hoping for. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was relatively clean. The hotel is in a great location and was decently priced. We were in the part that wasn't renovated and it was overall a bit of a mess. The motel is in a great location, walkable to all of the best restaurants and right across the street from the boardwalk and beach. The motel itself is dated and the room was dingy. The bathroom was newly renovated, however. The carpets are dirty and the amenities are poorly maintained. I spoke to a guest who has been coming here for years. It seems like there is new ownership that does not put as much care into the property as previous ownership.

The property is very dated and rundown. The room was renovated and clean but very basic. The woman working the front desk was great and a hard worker. The \"free parking\" is limited and we were not able to get a spot so had to pay the meter. The ice machines were broken. Clientele was sketchy. If you want somewhere central to the boardwalk, location is good. Our room looked at a brick wall so not all rooms have any sort of view. Definitely would not stay again. We were there to shower and sleep only. Otherwise we left town and went to a nicer beach town.

The room was so small there was a bed and a refrigerator and TV no chairs to sit in no dresser or nightstands. The AC did not work no windows to open up just door onto a small balcony there was no shampoo or body wash in the bathroom. It was empty took three hours and had to go down to try and get some bed. Lines were stained had to park two blocks away from hotel with car full of stuff. No place to eat had to try and sit on the bed to eat dinner or whatever. At least four other couples that checked in around the same time as us and checked out the same time as us for same reasons and said they were told there was bedbugs The AC was too small and didn’t work. It was taped into the wall. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Dingy, every ice machine in the building was broken and the elevators were down at the same time, looks nothing like the pictures, got super sick in the morning and wanted to know if I could pay to check out late, they said the monumental task of checking me out at 11 instead of 10 was impossible and sent a guy up to my room to clear me out so they could intake the millions of customers desiring to staying in fleabag motels on a Monday morning. This place is an unpolished turd with nice maids, save your money and sleep in your car.

Our room must have been recently remodeled. Freshly painted walls, laminate flooring, quiet air-conditioning unit. Tile flooring and walls in bathroom with a walk in shower. The shower head water was coming out in a trickle. We notified the front desk and within a few minutes the maintenance man came in and replaced the shower head. We needed 2 clean towels which we got from the front desk. There was ample parking at and near the hotel. The most outstanding feature of this hotel is its convenient location. Right across the street from the convention center, the ability to walk to the beach, boardwalk, plenty of restaurants nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The pictures are a lie. We had a bed and one side table. No side table for the 2nd person. No chair. Rust on bathroom door.
Worst part was the bed- it was just a frame and mattress and EVERYtime one of us got up the other was flipped out of bed.
It was not filthy but not overly clean either.
I know not to expect much at Wildwood but this was BAD!

This place is a disgrace. We reserved an ocean view room(top rate). There was one old nightstand , the toilet was so pushed in the corner that I had to open the shower and stretch my legs in there. Only 2 Handicap parking spaces, meaning I had to pay for a public spot. You should be ashamed to advertise this place. I ❤️ Expedia. Thanks, Rob.

We enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel room.
we enjoyed how walkable the hotel was to everything.
The only downfall is I got this hotel specifically for the tiki bar in the pool and I was disappointed they can’t charge drinks to your room so you have to bring your wallet in the pool, which is annoying. The drinks are little and cost $10 which was a turn off otherwise if priced right we would have stayed and bought more. Also, the bartender wasn’t very friendly.

The receptionist who checked us in went to answer the phone inside and said “ugh, why do people keep calling.” She was young, so perhaps a training in hospitality. The staff’s attitudes would make all the difference.
Other than that, we enjoyed our room and how close it was to the beach and shops.

Bed was comfortable but pillows were too hard. No towels for pool and only parking available was a block and half from hotel on a grass parking lot. Hotel rooms need updating. Very noisy at night and was very difficult getting in hot tub. Always full. Tiki bar at pool was nice and drinks were not that strong but good and reasonably priced.

Rundown Wildwood Hotel

It was our first hotel stay in Wildwood. We noticed that there was no blow dryer in the bathroom. There were no mirrors anywhere except the very small bathroom, in which we had to open the shower door to fit our knees so we could sit down on the toilet. The shower itself could’ve used some cleaning on the walls and the door tracks.
The smell of pot smoke pervaded the air in the hallways making us sick to the stomach. The whole building seemed rundown and dirty. Other than that, we had a good stay but won’t be back.

The only furniture in the room was a bed and the only light was the overhead light and the bathroom light. The room was clean, but it the only place to relax was the bed and no place to put your glasses when you took them off.

This was nothing close to a 3 1/2 star hotel. That place is an absolute dump. First off, the front desk girl stopped mid check-in to chat with another coworker about her night out. We only had 2 towels and 1 washcloth in the bathroom for a room with 4 people. The shampoo dispenser did not work, there was no conditioner left, that bathroom sink was clogged so used the kitchen sink, the bathroom Floor was dirty and had hair left on it, the air conditioners were broke and falling apart, the door had to be slammed to close and open (which was a treat for others on the floor) and the parking lot was a block and half away (which website says on-site parking). Do not, I repeat, do not stay at this hotel. I would have rather slept in my car. The price we paid for this place was wayyyy out of line.

People at front desk where very nice and friendly, very close to beach and boardwalk, comfy small rooms. the only bad thing that I can say is when we first got there, there was a small stain and a long hair in the bed but staff fixed it. I would recommend
