Don't stay at the royal towers. The only good thing was a thick coat of white paint over a dumpy place...sand on the room floors...sliding door handle broke away when opening cause they were too cheap to put in new sliders...we were put in a room w broken AC unit that they knew about and gave us this room anyway when another suite was empty

Pool good...snack bar ok but slow service...check in was miserable...Don't put a trainee on the desk. Won't be coming back...

While the property was conveniently located, and provided amenities as listed, the finishings were average at best. In order to fully experience the resort as presented in pictures, I would recommend staying in the Ocean Tower. We were booked in the Royal Tower which was underwhelming. Furnishings were cheap. The unit was not renovated as expected. It still has indicators of any old property. For the hefty cost of our stay, I would definietly consider looking elsewhere next time.

I was disappointed with my stay. The room I received in the Royal Tower looked much older than the renovated accommodations shown in the listing, and the overall experience did not match the expectations created by the photos.

One of the biggest inconveniences was that we were never provided with the correct address for the tower we were staying in. We ordered food, and it was delivered to the other tower, causing unnecessary confusion and delays.

The room was somewhat clear (although it smelled horrible), and the staff were courteous, but I think the listing should do a much better job of clearly distinguishing the different towers and accurately representing the accommodations guests will actually receive.

Very nice staff with local information for people with dietary needs and off season entertainment. Seasoned Wildwood crest fans who are on a budget but need that peace and or need that spontaneous getaway for a quick stay, will appreciate and enjoy the unexpected service.
Issues were dealt with in a timely manner. It's an older building like most accommodations in the area; there is a high probability of issues due to adjusting to the size of the property and technology.
The amenities are awesome and the changes are obvious.
Wonderful place to stay from the location to the staff. Enjoyed the stay!

We would have preferred the king suite, the king room was too small, bathroom door just cleared the toilet by less than a quarter inch but overall we had a nice time. Oh! Change out the thermostat in 328 it has a switch malfunction...

This was our 2nd stay during our anniversary. The previous stay we had an ocean view king suite which was very roomy so don’t select the king room or studio if you desire space.

We made it work, the hot tub was great!

We loved the property and the front desk employees. They were so helpful. Our only issue was that on the second day of our stay they didn't clean our room. We were out for the day and when we returned at 5 pm our room hadn't been cleaned. The employees at the front desk did bring us clean towels and few other items and felt embarrassed that it wasn't done. Even with this we would stay there again.

Really, really good hotel! Pros: EXTREMELY modern, roomy suites with king bed (a relative rarity in the area) and separate bedroom. Nice little touches, like some handy bowls and eating utensils, tons of hooks to hand wet bathing suits, et. al. on, and lots of pillows. Excellent minifridge which could easily store about a case and a half of drinks, and an easy to use microwave (again, a relative rarity in my travels) Two heated pools and two nice and hot hot tubs were also really cool, and both hot tubs are very large. Nice rooftop patio areas with wonderful views, as well as comfortable ground level patio area complete with comfy furniture and fire pits. Staff, particularly housekeeping, is high-level. Beach is right in front of both pools and easy to access from all floors. Parking was ample and hassle-free. And the general look of the hotel lobby just screams that this is a place where you would want to stay! Neutrals: personally I liked the piped-n music throughout the property, but my wife and son despised it! Elevator looks like it has seen better days, but worked throughout or stay. Cons: really nothing major at all; about the worst thing was the lack of storage drawer space, which was odd since the rooms were so sizable, Also some minor maintenance issues such as a front door lock that required a little effort to close (fixed immediately), and a stuck drawer, which exacerbate the storage issue. 9 out of 10, one of the very best we have stayed in in the Wildwoods!

We had a King Ocean Front room that was supposed to sleep 3 with a kitchenette… however there was only one bed and we were told that 3 could sleep in the bed. That was unsatisfactory so after some inquiry they brought two mattresses placed onthe floor for the third person. The kitchenette jad a small fridge and microwave but no sink. Told to use the bathroom sink.
While the room was an oceanfront we were on the first floor and the view was blocked by cabanas set on the sand obscurring
The view… This was not what I expected

The pool was not heated, it was freezing!! The hot tub was almost as cold. The weather was quite cold Memorial Day weekend. It would have been nice to warmed up in the advertised hot tub.

Also, they advertise central a/c, which was true. However, they neglect to let you know that there is no heat available, at all!! So, we were chilly both inside our room and outside.

Other than this, it is lovely. Had it been a hot weekend none of this would have mattered, except maybe for the hot tub.

We had a great time at the Madison. It was newly renovated and they did a good job. The rating we saw was two stars but we were very happy with the amenities. It has pools and a hot tub and pool towels available as well as a restaurant. The only items that weren’t great were the parking spots that were tight for small cars much less our truck. And one of the hot tubs was down while we were there. We’d stay there again if we were to come to the area again.

Very disappointed with our stay at Madison Crest Hotel. We booked a room for 6 people through Expedia with two beds and a sofa bed, but received only one bed and one sofa bed. The hotel blamed Expedia, and Expedia blamed the hotel. The hotel also falsely claimed that I upgraded the room, which never happened. On top of that, the toilet was not working and the room was very cold. Poor customer service and very frustrating experience.

Be careful if booking through a third party!

Visited this Memorial Weekend and was staying at their Royal Tower. I booked through Expedia and was already charged a property fee, **which I didn’t realize till after check-in and I checked my booking info again** At check-in the front desk told me because I booked through a third-party they need to charge me a resort fee, I didn’t argue with that.

I messaged them through Expedia afterwards to ask if property fee is the same as resort fee and they told me yes. After explaining to them Expedia already charged me for that, they said “actually you were charged a pet fee which Expedia doesn’t do”…..I didn’t bring any pets.

The room itself was fine, it did the job for 2 nights. Our bathroom door didn’t lock, the door that separates the sleeping area from the other areas didn’t completely close at all. The light in the sleeping area flickered so much I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me. Ceiling was interesting.

The weather wasn’t the best during my stay but it was nice that they had a heated pool. My kids enjoyed that.

Location wise, it was convenient to everything. It was within walking distance to the playground and ice cream/coffee shop. Also wasn’t far from the boardwalk where all the fun was. There was a bike rental place near by and the beach was right in front.

Management was rude and unprofessional. Bed had some sort of crunchy substance on the bedding upon arrival. I went without children but pool rules are too strict for a family \"resort.\" Van driver was the only staff member who was professional and friendly. Front desk staff seemed to be miserable always. Bathrobes were a cute touch but they had stains on them. Room was alot smaller than expected. Elevator is the size of a shoebox. None of their eateries were ever open and it was Memorial Day weekend... Just was not worth the price or the hype. Trying to keep up with Icona but not even close when it comes to the service or presentation. Won't be returning.

Our stay was good, I wish there was another elevator on the beach front area...we have to walk a long distance to get to our room.
Room was clean, weather was not good so we stay mostly in the room relaxing. But they have a nice set up, the pool looks great, the hot tub was cool too.
The only downside to our stay was our room door wasn't working properly, my husband had to lift the door in order to close it.
Other than that we liked the hotel.

I didn’t know at the time of booking that check-ins ended at 10pm and the front desk closed at 11pm. We knew we’d be getting in late and arrived around midnight. I called the number on the front door of the lobby and it was immediately answered. I explained that I had a reservation and was hoping I could still check-in and get my room. The gentleman said no problem and he would be right over. He arrived in less than 10 minutes, checked us in with an envelope that seemed to be waiting for us, and we were in our room in no time! A situation that I thought was going to be a problem, was not one at all! GREAT customer service and hospitality!! Wish we could have stayed longer than the one night. Looking to come back over the summer!

The property is amazing. Love the decor!! Pink is my favorite color so that’s a Huge plus!!! I had the 2 room suite. It was amazing!! Location is perfect. It’s right on the beach. I visited off season. I will definitely visit again during the main season!! THE DOWNFALL WAS THE ELEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING!! I was on the 4th floor so I got my exercise. Due to work, I had to stay in Wildwood, NJ for an entire month and ended up staying at three different hotels, including The Vibes and Monaco. All three hotels were priced similarly, but the experience could not have been more different. I rated the other two one star due to serious issues with cleanliness, noise, and lack of basic services like room service.
The Madison Resort is a true five-star experience.
I worked night shift, and the rooms were exceptionally quiet, which is rare for a beach town. The room was spotless, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming. The décor was tasteful and cozy, and being right on the beach was an added bonus. After long overnight shifts, coming back to such a peaceful, clean environment made a huge difference.
The staff truly set this hotel apart. They were attentive, professional, and kind. Even when I accidentally locked myself out of my room at 0600, they handled it promptly and graciously without making me feel like an inconvenience.
I stayed from November through December during Wildwood’s off-season, and even on days when I was literally the only guest in the hotel, I was treated like a VIP. That level of care and professionalism says a lot about the management and staff.
I honestly wish I had found The Madison first on Expedia. If I had, I would have spent all 30 days here without hesitation.
Thank you to the entire Madison staff for an outstanding stay. You set the standard for what hospitality should be.

The room was a disappointment. My brother had a condominium adjacent to this property and decided to try it because the rooms were very affordable. I decided to take a trip with my girlfriend for a short weekend stay. When we arrived, the room was stark. No dresser for clothing, no shelf inside shower for bathing items. Our television did not work (fire tv) and the worst part was the heat did not work. The night we arrived, the thermostat was locked on 64 degrees. The next afternoon we requested maintenance. He unlocked the it, but the heat never rose above 65 degrees. We left and took a trip to Cape May and returned with a cold room. The cleaning crew were noisy moving furniture and dropping items above our heads. This went on for over an hour after 8:00 am. We checked out around 8pm and did not stay the second night, even though we paid for it. We went to my brother’s condo next door. I can say the best part of the room was the complimentary bathrobes and extra blanket. My girlfriend wore the robe all night to keep warm. I would suggest to make sure the heat and television work before you get unpacked and comfortable. I mostly will not return. >Brian M.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is excellent – right in front of the beach – and the views from my room were beautiful, even though I didn’t have a partial ocean view. I stayed on the 5th floor in the Royal Tower.

The room was very clean and well-equipped. It had two very comfortable queen beds, a small fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a dining area with a table for six. The only downside of my stay was the sofa bed – it was in terrible condition, with springs poking through and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this made it a bad sleeping experience for my son. Aside from that, the room was excellent.

The hotel offers its own parking lot, and you can park yourself without needing a reservation, which was very convenient. There are two pools – a large one and a smaller one for kids. The smaller pool is heated, and the larger pool had pleasantly warm water, perfect for this time of year when the weather is not very hot. There’s also a hot tub, which was a nice bonus.

The property has a café and ice cream shop on-site, which was very good. One of the best perks of this hotel is that they provide beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost. The hotel staff is stationed right on the beach in front of the property and will set up as many chairs and umbrellas as you need. This is such a great service since you don’t have to worry about carrying anything to the beach yourself. Overall recommend it.

Second visit to madison. When we came last year during renovations staff was much more accommodating. Hole were the ac was supposed to be in our room was covered with unfinished spackel and tape. In its place was noisy portable ac unit in its place. for 600 a night is def unacceptable. We had rooms at both hotels for us and family that we stayed in. Both safes didnt open one room they came and fixed second never showed up. The amenities are beatiful, shuttle and location are great. Front desk staff leaves much to be desired. Lack of communication before and after arrival. Even when something was brought to they’re attention basically got an eye roll and told they would send an email. Sorry we wont be back after this visit.

The marketing on Instagram was very flattering while in reality the space was smaller than depicted. At least for the time we were there, no special activities occurred. The \"ocean view\" was had by leaving the room and looking over the railing. The strong chemical smell of whatever dloor cleaner was used was overwhelming.

Dirt & filth & horrible parking conditions ruin the stay. Interior fridge area and bathroom shower, floor etc all dirty. Parking was a nightmare in the royal tower bldg. Literally cannot get out of car when parking b/c spots are so tight. If you care about dings you will not want to be here. The building we were in was just a beach motel. The pool had someone’s bra inserts sitting in the middle island of the pool. Could not regulate ac temp. You picked H-M-L; no degrees setting. Won’t do this again.
