Bad attitude when I told her that the room had a strong mildew order she got mad my mom and daughter have problems with there lungs I couldn’t stay there I don’t recommend it at all. Not even a piece off soap. And she refuses to cancel my reservation. I am dealing with Orbitz about my credit. And I put insurance but for nothing because Orbitz only wants to give me a $50 credit and the room was $289. I end up getting a different place to stay.

AC was off when we arrived, room was cooking. Overall everything was very clean. Updating the carper would definitlely help this location. Also some shelving in the shower and aditional towel hooks for drying would be appreciated. Prices are insane but its the shore durring summer so its to be expected. Overall not too bad.

The motel was convenient for a bike run we had in Cape May. The beds weren't terrible. I woke up feeling rested. The towels in the bathroom need replacing. The ones in our room were clean but on the grey side. Also, the AC was a bit loud but did not keep us awake. Otherwise, we would recommend Blue Water for an overnight stay.

Delightfully surprised! One of the cleanest and most pleasant motels I’ve stayed at in the Crest. Room was beautifully designed with an all newly remodeled bath. Quiet and just 1 block to beach. Very nice owner who takes pride in the property. We’d definitely stay again!

Thought the hotel was quaint a smaller motel which I like I didn't use the pool we just got busy at exhausted from the beach it was very clean horses and older motel but most of are in Wildwood Crest and wildwood North Wildwood I prefer Wildwood Crest it's a little bit quieter and it's more family than people that want to go out and party go drinking and clubbing I only really needed a bed and a shower for the night so it was a really nice place I would definitely recommend it I would definitely go back

The cleanest motel I've ever stayed at!

The country music festival was this weekend, so my friends and I were looking for a cheap motel. This was the cheapest one in the area. I had never stayed here before but holy moly this place is awesome! All the comforts of home at one place. The room was SPOTLESS, and beautiful. We had a huge kitchenette with nice windows, hot showers, The family who owns it REALLY cares about their place. They have an outdoor \"shower\" so you can rinse off before going in the room or the pool. The pool was great, lots of space to lay out around it. I just can't say enough nice things about this place! It is a 10 minute drive to the convention center though. I enjoyed it so much and will be returning for every trip to wildwood!!

The worse experience

The water that come from the bathtub is color brown . From the kitchen sink is yellow. The A/C doesn’t work doesn’t even turn on . The front door is hard to open and the room window is sealed . The pool open at the 11 am and the check in is at 3 pm but people came from the beach and is close and the other day the check out is before the pool is open . Plus doesn’t have control of admission the people next to us doesn’t even sleep.

I stayed at this property 09/01-09/02. The room was clean , however the bedsheets were old, and so were the towels ( some were gray, some had holes in them ). The AC was old, noisy and smelly . The staff was courteous. The pool was one of the few nice things about this property.

We were pleasantly surprised by this room. The grounds were nice, the room was clean. Only concern was if the towel hanging in the bathroom behind the door was unused. It was hanging on a hook when we got there and didn't look fresh.

The 4pm check in policy is a bit, meh. That's honestly kind of late in the day.
For the next day, check out, we asked if we could stay parked there until we were ready to leave the beach the next day. The gentleman said we could stay on tne grounds until 12. Seemed a bit ridiculous when the facility was not fully booked. However, there was ample meter parking nearby.

Overall, would stay here again.

This was my first time staying in a motel since my HS gradation 1988. Area was very nice and safe. Very close to beach and clean. Owners are very nice and hard working. This was a last minute trip for my teen daughters who wanted to go to wildwood because friends were here, and because OC is so boring to them. Overall the stay was adequate but overall prices are high everywhere at the NJ beach. I just came back from Nashville at 4 star hotel and paid the same price as this one. The only bummer is the musty smell of the rooms but I am sure the owns can’t help it because of the humidity. I would go back to the area, but would pick a motel that had later check out time. 10 am is too early.

I've been going to Wildwood Crest on and off since the early 1960s. The Blue Water Motel is a motel from that era. It all looked so familiar to me. The room we stayed had fresh paint, fresh carpet, I believe new bathroom tile. It was just a little tight, but nothing terrible. The furniture looked like it was relatively recently purchased. The room, the grounds and the pool are kept very clean. For my wife and me, this is an ideal beach hotel. It was a good price and it is a short walk (single digit number of minutes) to the beach. It takes longer to walk from the start of the beach to the water than to walk to the beach from the motel. The room has a Keurig coffee maker for which I had bought a few dozen store brand K-cups. I also brought a stack of paper coffee cups so my wife and I could drink our normal morning coffee. We will probably go back around the same time next year for another 3 night mid week get-away.

The concierge was completely disrespectful by pointing her finger and using manipulative language stating that children under 4 count as adults and overcharged is for a room that smelled like complete body odor. We all woke up itchy and I almost hurled when brushing my teeth because of the horrible BO smells. In addition, the dresser smelled like horrible mold that crept throughout the room. We are completely horrified and will probably never return to Cape May due to this experience.

The only complaint was the noise from the unit above. I realize that's not something that the hotel can easily control and is mostly due to the construction of the property, but we needed to be up early. By putting us on the upper level, this would not have been an issue. Other than that the property was fine and the owners were great.

Customer service is very bad, Kendra, the customer service staff, will rip you off if you try to book directly with the hotel, if you are planning to stay there, buy your booking through any platform but not with them. Make sure you have a reservation protection and make sure you will get the room you paid for, she move people from one room to another according to her convenience, according to her the difference is just 1 foot but that is a lie ! She will ask you how many people you are and you will end up paying for your kids, she ask you to pay cash if you want to save money but what that means is that you have no way to cancel your reservation even if you have the booking protection. Be careful !

The location of the property is amazing across the street from 5 mile beach. The floors are mostly hardwood which is cleaner than carpet. The kitchenette is nice. Keurig in the room but we had to ask each day for the k-cups. The pool closes at 6 so it is hard to enjoy for very long. The owners did the best they could to clean and provide towels, etc. for all of the guests but like all customer service they are understaffed.

Didnt like- tv quality was horrible. The wifi sucks. We had 6 people stay in a single room with 3 beds. And we csn only connect 1 device. And can onky connect in 1 room. They will not clean or provide any services in the room while your staying therr. You have to clean everything yourself. They say because of covid. Why cant they clean or service the rooms when you leave for anywere. And wear a mask doing it. There is no risk doing this. Cieling had large water damages spots. And pieces falling down.

Not Worth The Money

The rooms were very clean which is always my number one priority and it was located a block from the beach which was great. However, it was still not worth the $300 plus a night we paid. The check-in process was talking through a glass but closed door and you put your credit card and such through a hole in the wall. I am all about COVID precautions. We are vaccinated and still wear masks in public but this seemed a bit extreme and unfriendly. There was no daily housekeeping service. You had to leave your towels and garbage outside your room. They charged you 25 cents for a cup of ice from the ice machine. They provided a Keurig which is great although the water holder in ours was gross and they didn't provide any K-Cups. You could buy them but they could have at least given you a few for free to start. The pool area was not as big or as nice as the pictures made it out to be. I paid less for the same type of room (but bigger) at a motel in Cape May in June that was across the street from the beach, provided you with free beach lounge chairs, free ice, a big beautiful pool with a bar and the list goes on. Overall I think the price needs to be inline better with the amenities and experience you are receiving.

It is a very dated motel. The pillows were very old and flat. The mattress was old with a pad that bunched up during sleep. The towels were thin but very clean.
The bath teas immaculately clean as was the kitchen.
There was smoking on the premises which could be smelled through the air conditioner. It was very unpleasant to smell.
If they would designate a smoking section or remove smoking from the premises it would drastically reduce their insurance premiums and increase the safety of fire issues.
I don’t think I would recommend this motel to anyone.

The hotel room is in great condition. Everything was well maintained and in good working order. The kitchenette was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, plates and cups. They even include soap, sponge, wash rags and dish drain. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. I checked everything upon arrival and could not find anything to complain about and I have high standards for cleanliness. Even the air conditioner was clean and did not smell bad like most places. I love that they have a pool that was a good size and the bbq area is gorgeous with a fountain, sufficient tables and grills for many to use. The pool water was very salty which I didn’t like but I imagine all pools near the beach are like that and there isn’t much they can do to change that so I don’t count it against them. The staff is very friendly and informative. It seems to be a well run family business. I took off points for comfort as I didn’t enjoy the pillows or the blankets. They were not soft as I would have liked them to be. The location is wonderful, one block from the beach and a very nice part of the beach at that. They have ice machine and water/dryer for use, k cup machine in the room but you have to bring your own coffee or purchase at front desk. Fridge was new and clean. The room we had was ocean view and it was very pretty to look at. Overall a great stay and we would stay again if we wanted to be on that end of Wildwood.

Would definitely recommend!! Our unit had a private bedroom and 2 additional beds with a kitchenette. It was exceptionally clean and located off of a very welcoming courtyard that was very well maintained. 2 gas grills, a charcoal grill and picnic tables located under a pagoda made for a wonderful family atmosphere. The salt water pool was very relaxing and the beach was right across the street. What more could you ask for??
