We have enjoyed this motel which is just steps from the boardwalk in the heart of downtown. Spacious room with big picture window. Nice lounge area with lots of lounge chairs and space to grill on the 2nd floor deck area.
Beds and pillows are comfy too!
The woman at the front desk is very kind and helpful and makes check in quick and easy.

All the furniture and bathroom was very outdated. The door to the room still uses a key and twist and turn door handle lock. No safety chain lock. The outside is not kept neat.
I would not stay there again.

I stayed one night with my children for a basketball tournament. The check in process was not bad. I have a pet peeve that when I hand you something in your hand, I expect you to hand the item back to me in my hand and the person checking me in placed my items on the desk. That is so rude. Other than that the staff were ok. The tv in the room did not work throughout my stay. They sent someone to fix it but it never got fixed. I guess they expect people to spend most of the time on the boardwalk so a working tv is not a priority of theirs. The best thing about this motel is the location. It is steps from the boardwalk, convention center, and in the middle of some great stores on the boardwalk. The motel is small and the bathroom is too tight. It is so small you can barely bend down in the bathroom the sink is directly in front of the toilet the sink water splashes everywhere getting the toilet seat wet. It’s just not good. I have to travel to Wildwood again soon and I will not take a chance on another motel even if it is close to the boardwalk. I just have to spend a little more money to be comfortable.

I wish I didn't have to give any star at all, if it wasn't allocation I wouldn't pick it at all.
First, this place doesn't matter some customers screaming yelling nor banging the doors nobody cares and place is so low maintained window had had gap and it is just peace of wood wall you hear whispering next rooms towers??? I think they stole from holiday Inn they are all mixed matched and dirty and smells bathroom had missing drain
I never been place so dirty and so poorly maintained and got nerve to charge me $200.
Never ever stay again never never never ever I don't care they pay me to stay I won't

I stayed at this hotel for one night because it was affordable and conveniently located near the boardwalk and beach. The front desk lady was very nice and changed my room since I had originally booked a room with two beds, even though I was traveling alone.

Unfortunately, the room had some type of odor smell when I entered. The lighting was very dim, and the room could really use a ceiling light or a brighter lamp. The microwave didn't work, or the cord wasn't long enough to reach the outlet. I also wasn't impressed with the toiletries provided, but thankfully I brought my own. The towels didn't smell fresh, possibly due to the detergent used.
The bed was made nicely, and the location was decent, although it was still a bit of a walk to the beach. Wildwood reminded me a little of Seaside. Parking was limited and involved double parking in some areas.

Overall, the hotel was affordable, but because of the room conditions and lack of updates, I probably would not stay here again.

Do not book here. Checked in, went to room, and left immediately. Hairballs on the bed, stained sheets and floor, dirty bathtub, smelled like smoke, deadbolt lock broken. Asked for a refund and the refused. The least a hotel should be is clean and safe and this dump was 0/2.

Location great… rooms are tiny..
Besides the tv and lights not working in 1st room.. switching to a 2nd room, ac had to no remote, buttons were broke and had to use a key to push the button to make the room cooler, slotted windows didnt open, no curtain on the one window, bathroom needs a complete overhaul, no exhaust fan( be prepared to be sticky and wet after you dry off).. tv had to be fixed in 2nd room, parking was a little nuts but we made the most of it!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Do not stay here. We booked a non smoking room and it reeked. Asked for another, they had one, then they didn’t, then they did, but they all stink. Place in disrepair and the “clean” towels were stained and smelled very strongly of Indian food.

The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The stairs to the second level are rusting out and falling apart. We had friends in another room where there were old cigarette butts & ash in the nightstand drawer, as well as used tissues in the dresser. Our room dust & dirt wise was clean. Front desk girl was nice but certainly did not care about the poor conditions or customer satisfaction.

Awful customer service. No heat in rooms. Rented a room for wrestling weekend, and had to transfer to a different hotel with working heat. The east coast is experiencing a very cold winter, which I get, but other competitors had working heat. Hotel is refusing to give full refund even though we did not stay there, due to their policy of notifying within 24 hours. How were we supposed to know they had 0 heat?! Expedia cannot override the vendors policy and offered a $50 credit towards a future stay. Both Monaco and Expedia should be ashamed for expecting children to stay in below 30 degree sleeping conditions.

Check In was a breeze. The woman was nice friendly but the room the TV can only get one channel there was heat, but you couldn’t adjust it and it blew very hot constantly. You couldn’t open the window because it was broke. There were no extra blankets and to top it off there was no hot water so you couldn’t take a shower or a bath.

The room had only 1 ripped up lamp not near the bed. The tv’s have disrupted behavior. And other little things that were annoying. There was no one there to check us in. Another couple had to track them down to get them there. Only a couple of rooms were clean because maids called out sick. The stairs looked like they would collapse if you climbed them. People were running around outside throughout the night. It really was quite the experience just being there. Wouldn’t go again unless they really improved everything. It’s a shame because the location is great.

The staff were very nice people, but the building is old, with a very narrow set of stairs to the 2nd floor covered in semi-loose carpet that can make you trip. The door only had the door knob lock (the deadbolt was painted over and the key didn't work) and the safety latch was missing the part that attaches to the door). Stained mattress, tiny bathroom, scratched up, cheap, unmatched furniture, and garbage on display in front of the extremely limited parking. No in-room phone, only 1 lamp for the entire room, no 24-hour staff (office closes at 11pm). I won't stay here again.

By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Sink was falling off the wall. Toilet wouldn’t flush unless you were sitting on it. Tiles were missing on the bathroom wall. The beds were both taco’d in the center. The main door wouldn’t lock on the dead bolt. I also did not give my keys to the hotel to have access to my vehicle, thought it was a bad idea then. Still think it’s a bad idea. So have fun paying 25$ to park overnight across the street.

the location was great. Near the boardwalk.
the room was dated and in need of some renovation. the door had to be slammed to close, the bathroom was missing tiles, the toilet seat was chipped, the sink wasn't sturdy in the wall, the air conditioner was missing molding, the microwave was dirty, the refrigerator was missing shelves, the TV remote was missing batteries,
i liked the floors and the beds were comfortable.

Definition of dont judge a book by its cover. Outside, looks suspect. Trash laying about, smell of weed everywhere. Inside, cool AC, comfy beds, clean sheets, TV worked, good water pressure, hot water, fridge cold. Parking lot is tiny, but they allow use of additional lot. Its a $100-$150 room in the summer. Get what u pay for. Ive been in alot worse. Front desk girl was very nice.

The room wasn’t super dirty but it also wasn’t the cleanest.

You have to give your car key to the front desk because they park your car in due to limited parking spaces. This wasn’t a big deal but the staff moved my car and left my window down all night.

Our room was roomy, clean and looked cute too. We were bothered by the fact that the railing to climb the steps outside were loose in the concrete and the concrete had cracks in multiple places. Our bath was not only small, but barely useable. If you are on the toilet you can lay down your head on the sink. Also, the whole entire toilet was loose and did not appear to be sealed although it didn't leak. Management did let us leave our car in the lot for a few hours after check out. If you can find another place, do so. We booked late and not much was available.

Stay was terrible. The vacation itself was great, but the hotel was awful. There were teenagers partying till all hours of the night at one point there was a group of about 30 of them in the parking lot screaming and running around the balconies. If you have young kids I’d pick a different place to stay and when I spoke to staff about the problem and a refund to find somewhere else I was told we don’t make money if we give it back to you and that I already paid so I’d have to deal with it. They then offered me 20% off my next stay there.If you have young kids find somewhere else

This may be the worst place I have booked his hotels.com. You should actually be ashamed to even over this place on your site. It was shabby and run down. There was not adequate parking for guest vehicles with blocking other guests’ cars in. The lobby smelled terrible. It is like they just do the absolute minimum to keep the place open. And what they charge for such ratty accommodations is ridiculous!
In all fairness we found Wildwood to be a rundown and shabby town. We will probably never return to Wildwood, and if we do, we would sleep in a cardboard box before we stayed at the Monaco again.

This property is old and needs some renovation. The bed is comfortable. The shower faucet needs to be replaced, but still does the job. Has a small sofa but is dirty I had to put towel on top of the sofa for me to sitting down. This is why I am giving 4 stars.

I’d like to share my experience with this hotel. I initially canceled one of my room bookings in order to rebook at a lower rate. The cancellation was done well in advance, within the penalty-free period, and the receptionist assured me it would be processed. However, the hotel still charged me for the canceled room.

Despite following up, the cancellation was never properly handled, and I had to resolve the issue myself through my credit card provider.

I’m not someone who complains easily — the room was fine for the price. But this experience was a waste of my time and negatively affected my peace of mind.

Run down hotel. Cold air came in thru door and screen in bathroom window was torn and window didn't close so it was freezing in bathroom with cold air coming in. Had to run faucet for at least 5 min to get hot water. If hotel was busy parking would have been a mess with being parked in by other cars. There was a domestic dispute 2 doors down with yelling and cursing resulting in 3 policemen being on site for about an hour. Not fit for more than a one night stay. Picked this hotel because within walking distance to convention center where my granddaughter participated in cheer competition.

Worst Hotel Experience in Wildwood NJ

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had staying at a hotel, first thing is this hotel looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 1970’s. I stayed two nights because I couldn’t get a refund from the hotel, I took only one shower because it took nearly 24 hours for the tub to drain after the only shower. The bed seemed to be on a box of broken springs, whenever I moved the sound of springs in the bed would wake me up. The bathroom is prehistoric, broken window, sink ready to fall off the wall and the room was cold because of the window issues even with a noisy A/C running with the heat on. I could go on even further of the negative experience I had staying at this particular place but that’s enough. Save your money and time and choose another hotel, but these winter hotels in Wildwood are not that appealing so choose carefully. I grew up in Wildwood I worked at many hotels over the years there, this was the worst hotel I stepped foot in on the island of Wildwood.

The receptionist left the counter and locked the door leaving multiple people outside to wait for 20-30 minutes.

When i went to check in, they attempted to charge me $10 to park at the hotel after i just paid 150 dollars .

The room was a dump, with the panels leading to the shower pipes hanging open, the door to the room had a nice gap in it so i got to hear the drunks all night, the hot water didnt work, the table was COVERED IN ANIMAL HAIR and to top it all off there were dead bugs ON TOP OF \"CLEAN SHEETS\"

I have pictures of a bug and the condition of the room. I will never stay in this hotel again and i wouldnt advise anyone else stay unless its the hotel paying them too for the trouble.

Perfect location! Walk right onto the boardwalk.

Our tv did not work. Very disappointing to not be able to watch tv. Doorknobs are falling off. Sheets and towels were clean, but floors and walls were dirty. Didn't sew any alarming bugs, just some gnats. Needs renovations but still not too bad for the price we paid.

Typical old time Wildwood motel- doo wop era… small but clean and safe and they were very kind ….As with many motels of this era in Wildwood don’t expect new or fancy- but it’s original and clean and small- but that’s what we wanted. Steps away from the boardwalk- parking free and no fuss… plus for the upgraded Wildwood hotels your looking at 400$ plus per night for the same size place just repainted and a little
More modernized.. we can no longer afford the place we went to since childhood for that reason.. so this is very beach old wildwood and that’s ok because it’s just a bed and fridge ect so you can go

Convenient to boardwalk and beach. The motel itself needs a lot of updates and more cleaning staff. They let young people stay there and do not monitor the way they treat there property. I also think they should have certain rooms with dogs and rooms you can’t bring dogs. I have stayed there years ago and was never this bad. Hopefully they can change something’s to make it better again. Thank you.

This review is not about the Monaco Hotel, because on our way down on Friday, we received a phone call from the owner stating we could not go to the Monaco and were being transferred to the Mango Motel. I was very upset because I needed to be close to the convention center and this was further away. Instead of walking right next door to the Convention Center at the Monaco, I had to drive my car. I don't know why we were switched, they danced around my question, and I don't know what condition the Monaco would have been in, but if it is the same owner, I'm not expecting much more. I told the owner the bathroom was dirty but nothing was done over the three days we were there. There was pink mold in the grout of the tub, and someone else's hair on all the walls of the tub and right over the faucets of the sink. A corner of the tub on the floor had thick black dirt/mold??? The room was very small with no closet to hang clothes, no area in the bathroom, not even enough to put your toothbrush - it was just a small sink, no vanity space. The coffee cups were dirty-yuck! Very few hotels are open this time of year, so we were very limited especially that we need to be near the Convention Center. Yes, we only paid $100 a night through Expedia, but fancy is not what we expected - clean was!!!! The best is there is a large sign in front of the motel stating \"NEWLY RENOVATED\"!!!!! HMMMM????

Air conditioning barely worked and there was a crazy party of kids that wernt even staying there. I’m sad my kids had to experience kid’s puking all over the balcony. Was disappointed on the family friendly atmosphere.

It was so outdated that the key to the room was literally a metal key with a tag that had the room number conveniently attached to it. If cleanliness is not your priority,the location was perfect, right behind the boardwalk.

They showed rooms that are not the rooms they give you! The toilet was loose and it was so close to the sink and shower you can wash your child while using the bathroom and then washing your hands when you’re done. All while sitting on the toilet. The rail was so low a baby could easily hurt themselves. It was just all around a bad birthday for my family.

Stay was nice. The rooms are very clean. Real close to the boardwalk. Pet friendly but charge 50.00 separately cash only. Parking is limited and could be blocked in
