Excellent place to stay, one block off the \"strip \". Shopping, various and many eating places close by or short walk, beach one block over (beach towels available upon request, no fee), etc. Only thing to whine about is if you have a rental car parking is limited and you have to pay for it (like $35 a day).

Breakfast was simple. It offered a small variety of common breakfast choices, minus no bacon? For smaller eaters such as children aged 8-9 and under, prices should be adjusted and not the same as an adult. Overall it was satisfying. Mahalo.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this hotel right by the beach. We were a large group, 4 rooms and 3 of them same floor near each other.
The daily breakfast buffet was great. Big thanks to breakfast host Mr. Park, Rowena & another guy i forgot his name. At breakfast, Mr. Park by giving us tips about our plans for the day. How to maximize our time. Breakfast also allowed our big family group to gather & enjoy being together before we go out and explore Oahu.
The rooms are a little smaller than we're used to but, still fit an extra twin bed for one of our rooms. Sitting on balcony watching the waves first thing in the morning was awesome!! It is an older hotel, but definitely well maintained.
The lobby and front desk staff was great as well. Dave and another evening lady was exceptional. They were very helpful and responsive. One lady during the check in process was a little bit not so Aloha, but everyone else was charming & helpful even the maintenance guys.
We had a big 15 passenger van. The evening front desk people helped us get a parking spot everyday, even though we arrived back late.
The hotel was so close to everything. We had morning walks and jogs before breakfast. One of the kids even surfed early morning using the affordable surfboard rental shop right on the beach.
There's so many restaurants & shops nearby. You can choose to go the restaurants on the beach too. 2 ABC stores and a McDonalds were just steps away.

Great location but this place is too dated to charge the prices they do. Breakfast buffet was not exciting especially the dull atmosphere. Was not happy with the higher than usual parking and hotel fees as the advertising wasn't very clear. Read the small print for sure. Bed was not so comfortable but adequate. Check in was rather easy. Got lots of info. The onsite adventure sales rep was informative and easy to work with. Great location and smack in the center of the beach activities. This alone makes me want to return. But won't recommend as a place to come with kids under 15.

#1- You have to pay $2 per bag if the bell hop needs to store it. It's low but it's the principle of the matter
#2- buffet staff as crazy. The buffet is 20 feet away from the pool area, but they won't let you leave to drink your coffee out there as there is no in and out. Lol..lame. I want to drink my coffee in the open and relax before I eat.
#3- no shower in the pool bathroom area. Why does this matter. Because if you check in early or out late. You have no access to a shower. Then what? This is bad.

The best thing about the room was the view. I did notice in the bathroom that the corners were very dirty like they don’t really deep clean and the bottom of the shower curtain was turning pink with mold. It didn’t really bother us much as we weren’t in the room all that much. The bed was clean and the room smelled clean, and that was really important to us. The staff was super helpful when they came in and cleaned our room. They swept up all the sand from the beach on the balcony and they changed the shower curtain at my request. They did a really good job changing the sheets and making everything smell nice in the room. Breakfast was a little on the expensive side for what they offered and the quality, the staff in the breakfast area, I think they needed a few more as we stood around for more than few moments before somebody could get to us. We kept telling ourselves it’s Hawaii. Everybody moves on Hawaiian time lol. The kitchen look clean and the lobby was clean. I love the open air concept, you could sit in the lobby and watch the rain. All in all a nice stay

We love this place and we would stay again love that they have complementary breakfast and the breakfast was delicious if we wouldn’t have had breakfast and had to purchase I think we would’ve spent more money going out and eating, but it was very delicious varied day by day coffee was very very good. Eggs different sausage types, potatoes, fruit, salad, they just have a big variety of things. The stay was absolutely amazing very comfortable beds. They even offered an extra bed like a twin and that helped a lot. They do have a laundry room in the basement and that came in handy after a seven day trip. we did get the balcony ocean view and that was nice to wake up to. The hotel is literally two minutes from the beach and they would offer us beach towels that was amazing. They do also have a pool which we also took advantage of. water and microwaves are available. water stations throughout the hotel was great. This place was amazing and would definitely stay here again and recommend anyone that is wanting a hotel with everything. the staff was very helpful very nice knowledgeable and always lending a hand. Would recommend this 1000%

I would go back in a heart beat! Delicious breakfast and great view from balcony and maintenance was immediate that was amazing. I had difficulty with locking my patio door and the maintenance fellow was at my room as I was returning from the front desk. Location is easy to get to the beach and as a solo traveler it was quieter than the hotels nearby..

The location is fantastic. It’s within a 1-2 minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and stores! The breakfast was delicious, and all the staff was very nice.
Our group loved the complementary yoga & Pilates beachfront sessions. If you get a chance to do it you should it’s very relaxing and just fun. I’ve never done any class before and that was very relaxing and helped relieve my back pain.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone! We can’t wait to visit Waikiki again!

The Waikiki Resort Hotel was a disappointing experience. Be aware that, in addition to the room rate, I was charged an extra $45 per person per day plus a $45 per day parking fee. While the advertised room rate seemed reasonable, the additional fees significantly increased the overall cost of the stay.
The hotel itself had several issues. The room windows rattled loudly in the wind, and hallway windows were locked open, allowing humidity, wind, and noise from a neighboring hotel’s pool parties to carry through the building until around 11:00 PM each night. I was also regularly awakened around 4:00 AM by garbage trucks servicing the hotel’s dumpsters. As a result, I got very little restful sleep during my stay.
When I raised concerns with the staff, I felt they were dismissive and simply responded that “that’s Waikiki.” However, I have stayed at other Waikiki hotels and have never experienced these problems.
The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing. The food quality was poor, and the dining area appeared unclean, which completely ruined my appetite.
Waikiki itself was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the area. The room was spacious & the resort has a clean swimming pool but no hot tubs. The staff were all very helpful. The location is very good considering it is not beahh front. It is only 1 short block from a great swimable beach. They also had free lei making, hula & ukulele classes on site for the guests which was a really nice added touch and enhanced the experience.

We stayed for 9 nights and 10 days. Like many hotels in Waikiki, this property is older and definitely showing its age, but the staff truly made the experience better. Everyone was wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. Anytime we needed something for the room, like extra towels or a new TV remote, it arrived quickly.

A lighted mirror would make a huge difference, especially for putting on makeup. The room also did not have a full-length mirror, which would have been helpful during a longer stay. The beds were okay but a little too springy for our liking. On the positive side, the sheets and blankets were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well, which made the room comfortable after being outside in the heat. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was excellent, but the property is overdue for updates

Love the location, they have food restaurants walking distance, zoo is 5-19 minutes walking, 5 min to the beach, abc store a block away, food trucks all around and even has a rental car inside the resort and it has a free parking you get your car in the morning and at the end of the day they take it and park it for you so you don’t have to pay parking. Food was great staff super nice.

We arrived to find that we were not going to get the king size bed with a partial ocean view that we had reserved. We were told that we had two double beds instead. We were told for $100 more a night we could have a king. But we did not know that there would also be $158 a night for changing the room and additional taxes. That added up to an additional $170 per night.Our bill was almost twice what had been indicated when we made the reservation. No one could explain to me the purpose of a reservation, if you were told it was available and you arrive and it was not. We had called the night before to verify the reservation and were told that the reservation was there and yes, we were getting a king size bed.Then at the desk when we arrived, they said that the type of beds could not be guaranteed. That really needs to be stated on the reservation.
Other than that, it was a very nice stay. Breakfast was nice. Housekeeping did a fine job. The concierge was excellent.

The biggest highlight is the location, it’s extremely convenient and just a short walk to the beach, which made everything very easy and enjoyable. The staff were also very accommodating and helpful throughout the stay.

In Waikīkī you get what you pay for… location of the hotel is great, but the hotel is quite tired, they list that there’s a gym but it’s more like a very small cardio room, the breakfast will definitely leave you wanting a lot more, and if you call down for anything they tell you to come get it yourself. My biggest issue was that parking at the hotel is $46 a day plus the resort fee; which was about $600/700 for almost a week… I wasn’t prepared for that. you’re better off staying at a nicer hotel that eats those costs ;) You’re welcome!

Location is the best part of this stay, only a block to Waikiki Beach. This property is close to everything in Waikiki, restaurants, shopping and the beach. Property is well maintained and very clean but dated, definitely in need of an update for the entire property. Staff was pleasant and accommodating especially housekeeping and breakfast staff at buffet on second floor. Parking is pricey even though they said it was cheapest in the area. I would recommend daily car rental if you plan to go outside Waikiki or public transportation is readily available also. Theres a car rental inside the hotel and several within a few blocks of the hotel. We had a Deluxe Corner King Oceanview , nice balcony with a view of Waikiki Beach it was a decent size room with a comfortable King bed and a pull out queen sofa. Small bathroom and dressing area with sink and bar to hang clothes. We had to keep bathroom door shut to keep heat and humidity from room to keep the living area comfortable with air conditioning. There's a coffee maker and a small sink and small microwave and small refrigerator in this room. There is a pool on the second floor that is very nice and was hardly used while we were there. Another amenity is the Laundry Area in basement area was well light and maintained all 3 washer and 3 dryers we working properly and we reasonable cost to use.
