We had such a lovely time while we were here! From the moment we arrived, everything just felt really welcoming and relaxed. The room was spotless and had everything we needed — and the hot tub was such an amazing bonus! It made the stay feel that bit more special, and we used it every night.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer; everyone we spoke to was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying our stay. Little touches like that really make a difference.

Overall, we came away feeling totally relaxed and happy. It was the perfect little break, and we’d 100% love to come back again soon.

Absolutely amazing stay! We have loved every minute, we didn’t want to leave! The staff and service were excellent! They were more than happy to help in anyway! Our hot tub was broken and we mentioned it to the front desk and it was fixed with new parts the next day - incredible service! Food was so delicious! Could not recommend this place enough!

We went to this hotel to celebrate my 60th birthday and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived and got to are room at 130am there was water and sandwiches ,just on case we were hungry 60th birthday card and chocolate. The room and bathroom was spotless,with nice size balcony to sit on. The pools are lovely with walk in steps and the pool with the music had lovely lots of steps in the pool ,so great for sitting on and reading when it got to hot,was a great way to cool down. So great if you have mobility issues. Sun beds are large with comfortable thick cushions and extra large sun umbrellas. Pool towels given everyday . No fighting to find a sunbed late morning. The food was the best I have eaten on holiday ,huge variety of salads,fish and meat,presented amazingly. The best orange salmon ,I have ever tasted and steak was cooked to perfection. Entertainment each night was good,if you get chance to watch Ben and the Lost boys and fantastico,you will not be disappointed. But what makes this hotel 5 star ,is the attentive staff. I have to mention Lenka ,who was restaurant front of house in the evening,always greeted with big smile and always ensuring we were comfortable and a font of knowledge. Juan the waiter with his big smile and always ensuring we had a drink and I have to mention pool life guard Louie who would help me up off the sunbed when needed ,ensuring everyone around the pool were comfortable and was always busy tidying with a smile .

Best hotel we have stayed in

This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. The food was the best we have ever had in any hotel. The pools and pool beds were amazing, with a choice of a quiet pool and the music one with its own DJ. But what for me makes it the best was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, from the reception, to the restaurant staff, to the bar and pool staff. They made as feel special from day one. The service compared to the best cruises without the sway of the waves! We will certainly repeat and recommend this hotel to family and friends!

We had half board and the food was absolutely amazing also plenty of wine selection at a reasonable price.

From the moment of arrival this hotel was excellent. All guests are greeted at reception and staff are excellent. The pool area is amazing with gorgeous beds, bar and dining area. Music is played by great djs all day. There are always beds available. Staff are alert and constantly there serving food and drinks. Breakfast was excellent. Location excellent. Close to beach and bars and restaurants. I totally recommend this hotel for a relaxing luxurious chilled holiday.

LOVED this hotel. Staff were all super friendly, and seriously interested in our comfort and convenience. But the BUffET was a destination in itself! Both breakfast and dinner. (Sign up for thr half board.) Different every evening with serving staff waiting to clear you plates, or the chef waiting to cook your freash meat selections.
Peaceful, but with live music every evening from 9:00-10:30. And mid morning water aerobic class if your interested.
We loved the Bali bed! It's like laying by the pool or listening to the live show on your own deck.
Room was fine, quite clean. (Not a fan of frosted glass walls for the bathroom though. A lot of light if one person is still sleeping. )
Highly recommend renting a car and driving to places like Lluc, and

Great location. Great staff and great Cocktails. One of the cleanest hotel we have stayed in in Europe.

The beds are very comfortable and I loved the choice of pillows. Our room had a lovely strong powerful shower. The spa bath in our room took 5 attempts to get started and because the plug was loose it drained within 5 minutes. The bathroom tapware could do with updating or the washers changing as it was nearly impossible to turn them fully off, I was worried about wasting an awful amount of water. My husband and I were not fans of the glass box toilets either. They are very small and its impossible to pull your clothes up without throwing the door open 1st, not to mention they do not hold any unwanted smells back.

The bar staff and hotel staff are fantastically friendly, helpful and speak an amazing array of languages.

We went halfboard. I do wish we had gone breakfast only. The choice of buffet food for breakfast and dinner was vast, but unfortunately it was all cold or luke warm. It is possible to get tiny portions of fish and meat cooked on the grill, but there is a queue for it.

There are 2 pools. One has a live DJ, fantastic cocktails and comfy sunbeds, the other is a quiet pool, with really uncomfortable sunbeds that need changing. We had 1 morning where the music pool was closed for a photo shoot, so we had no choice but to use the queit pool. I now have an ugly bruise on my rear end from the sunbed. crossbar.

All in all, ee did enjoy out stay.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we found all the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The half board option was incredible value with huge variety of food both hot and cold. Lots of varied raw meat and fish cooked to order. Excellent choice of salads and mini starters. Easy walking into the town and the port. Short taxi ride to Pollensa. Overall we had a great holiday and superb value for money. We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels which were not a patch on this one. Perhaps a little bit of updating required in areas but nothing to worry about. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was one of the best ever.
Ready to book again.

Very comfy bed and exceptionally clean room. The buffet breakfast and evening meal were first class. The staff coudnt do enough for you. There are 2 good sized pools and plenty of sunbeds.

Very good location in Alcudia. Room was quite spacious for two. Buffet breakfast each morning was excellent as there were so many options available and great quality. Two pools available on the premises and very close to the local beach. Only downside was the parking as there wasn’t any parking directly on site but free parking on the street

Where do i start, the staff are the best, the kindest and warm we have met in a long time. Shame i dont remember names, Garcia and Dolores but the rest i forgot. All of the were over and beyond. Food, some of the best hotel food we have experienced. Even vegan options which my misses loved. Thank you. Clean modern and lovely hotel. Entertainment everyday, once again not usual so a great plus. During my misses bday they surprised us with a cake/dessert during our evening meal and sang for her which was so nice and warming. Thank you for everything, we will be back. I almost dont want people to know about this hotel. Love it and love the staff. Thanks

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Astoria Playa. Highly recommend getting the rooms with the bali bed. Air conditioning was great, nice to have two pools and food was lovely. My partner is vegetarian and there were lots

This is a lovely modern hotel with great facilities. The staff in every position from cleaning staff to waiting staff, reception and customer services were fantastic, friendly, seemingly happy and very attentive. The food was good, with a great selection for breakfast and good options for dinner if you took it. Two pools means neither was crowded and the lack of children was a distinct bonus.

Alcudia is a typical Spanish beach resort with lots of tourists, many Spanish, but the beach itself is really lovely. It would have been a paradise before the tourists, fast food outlets and big hotels moved in.

If I have one recommendation for improvement it is to install a non-slip floor covering between the quiet pool and the lavatory. I slipped and injured myself quite badly with a seriously torn ham string which will take at least 6 weeks to repair. If I'd hit my head or broken my hip it would have been worse. An accident waiting to happen.

The hotel bars were reasonably priced, and the general atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed, with a good mixture of ages and nationalities.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We were greeted on arrival by the front desk staff and offered sparkling wine and water to drink during the check in process. We also received a lovely bottle of wine in our room as a welcome gift. The property is lovely with two pools - one quiet pool and one that had a daily DJ playing - each with lots of loungers to use. The walk to the beach is a quick 5 minutes and there are multiple restaurants within a few minutes walk as well. The hotel provides the option of having breakfast and supper included in your stay rate, or you can opt for just breakfast. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel/resort. We didn’t include the dinner option in our stay but did pay the 25€ per person one night for the dinner buffet. Again, we were very impressed with the variety and quality of the buffet. The resort provides nightly entertainment on the stage in the outdoor lounge area which we really enjoyed.
Overall, from the friendly staff to the great amenities and location, would highly recommend.

What an amazing experience! Hotel Astoria Playa exceeded every expectation we had. The hotel is clean and bright, and our room was perfect. But where they really take it to the next level was the quality of service we received from the staff. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning, and the wonderful young man who checked us in could not have been more helpful to two tired Canadians. And it only got better from there… We met a lot of amazing people, some of whom I did not catch their names, but those who I did: Daniela, Garcia, Jose, Marina, Paula, Rafa, Thiago, Valentina - incredible service from all. The dining room hostess in the morning was great, the friendly chef behind the grill and kitchen staff, awesome.

Given that we knew very little of the area - and speak only English - the whole crew is world-class. I can’t say enough about them.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Astoria Playa, and I must say that my experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service that made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest.

The hotel staff were friendly, attentive. They were always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries, making me feel well taken care of throughout my visit.
Food was excellent. The hotel's restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious options, from local delicacies to international cuisine. The quality of the meals was consistently impressive.

I was pleased to find my room impeccably clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of ensuring that everything was in order, and I appreciated the attention to details.

Great Hotel. Fantastic Breakfast and dinner buffets.
I am not a civil engineer but think that the elevator should have been much larger. Also since most of their clients are Germans or northern Europeans, the heating system was turned off but they provided us with extra blankets. In April it does get cold at night for most Spaniards.

The staff were terrific and the room was very clean and comfortable. The dining was buffet only and the food was just okay. Coffee in the morning was undrinkable. The area around the hotel is just beach resort stores selling towels and blow up toys for the beach. Not a lot of good alternatives to eating at the hotel, except the Indian restaurant across the street.

Couldn’t recommend Astoria Playa more, we loved our stay and are very sad to be back home. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of choice, and our room was modern and comfortable.

One thing I would say, our deluxe pool view was quite underwhelming. It didn’t directly overlook the pool due to the walkway & garden & parasols and was always in the shade. But was still nice to relax on the Bali bed and could hear the DJ when the weather was nice.

Terrible hotel: AC not working well (solved 24 hours later), smell of mold in the room (never solved), did not want to give upgrade as we were Expedia VIP, rude receptionists, arguing with us (they need for sure a customer service training), paid safe box despite the advertising on Expedia, no offsite parking, only in the streets around the hotel, room at the limit of the cleaness, etc..etc.

Food really good, great choice at breakfast and dinner including a decent selection for veggies and vegans.

Pools both super clean and no probs getting loungers. Daytime DJ at one pool very chilled or silent alternative pool.5 mins walk to beach. Lidl 12 mins walk away.

Bike centre onsite is very good including tools, cleaning bay and washing machines, £2.50 a day to store bikes with locks and 24hr access. Bring your own, hire onsite or choose from lots of local cos.

Finally, the service is outstanding. Everybody, from the initial welcome, kitchen staff, waiters, cleaners and at the pool are so friendly and keen to help.

Highly recommended.

The food quality and choice at this hotel is outstanding. The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. The bed was huge and very comfortable. There was musical entertainment every evening which was varied. Drinks are a reasonable price for a large hotel. The surrounding area has a very typical holiday resort feel, shops and bars. Sadly there was a lot of litter. It felt safe and was very cycle friendly.
We were impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay again

The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was great as well. Perfect positioning, 3 minute walk to the beach right next to a ton of restaurants and shopping. Will definitely be staying again.

We’re currently staying here and quite simply this is how to run a hotel.
To further endorse previous reviews everything is done very well and nothing is too much trouble.
It has our preferred modern style but manages to still make you feel like a visiting family member.
Impeccably clean everywhere, room and pool beds (of which there are many) are the most comfortable we’ve come across.
Now for the food, very fresh ingredients skilfully cooked and presented. The fact we’ve had 9 nights and still not yet ventured to an outside restaurant says it all.
In the evenings every night have had quality entertainment, another area where no corner has been cut.
The biggest asset though are the staff, you would think they all own a share of the hotel. From breakfast to last drinks at night they just don’t stop and all with the largest of smiles. They genuinely love working here, some have for many years.
Finally, we would without hesitation recommend here to family and friends.
Just don’t all book at once as we want to come back !

Good property in central location

Adults only makes a difference, was peaceful and quiet, even with daytime pool DJ and evening entertainment. Hotel seemed pretty full but never felt overrun with people. Good size property with 2 pools. Not much greenery but there is some grass. Hotel felt very safe. Centrally located few minutes walk to gorgeous well-organised beach, bus stop, shops and restaurants (though the restaurants around were not particularly good). Nice walk along beach to the Port. In early June pool and beach were about 20 degrees celsius and were ok for swimming. Outside temperature was perfect. Did not really like the breakfast. No freshly squeezed juices. Hot water from machine tasted odd. Bottle of wine on arrival was good. Nice decor at property, minimalist with some nice art and splashes of colour. Liked the swing chairs and the lights in the evening. Suite was nice, decent size, comfortable, light and bright with big balcony and lovely views of pool, mountains and the town. Big hot tub. No sea views from rooms. All rooms have a view of one of the pools. Booked top floor room but was given a 5th floor room instead. With the exception of the toilet seat which was stained, the level of cleanliness in room was good. Quality of toiletries was good. Main pool was nice but the grouting in many places was dirty and there was some mold around the edges of the pool. Can only change pool towel once a day between 5 to 6pm. Overall it’s a good place to stay in Alcudia

As a solo traveller you want a hotel that is comfortable, welcoming and in which you feel safe. Astoria Playa ticks all of those boxes and more. Spotlessly clean, bright, cheerful and with excellent facilities. The two pools (one quiet, one with a DJ) are great and there are plenty of comfortable sun beds to go round. The only thing missing facilities-wise is a gym. The hotel is also conveniently located from most things you’d want to see in the area and is 150-200m from the beach. In terms of the staff, everybody is extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. You are really made to feel safe and looked after. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough as you won’t find anything better in Alcudia.

As a solo traveller, the hotel staff made me feel incredibly safe and very welcome. The hotel was stunning and great DJ at one of the pools but not loud enough to be disturbed once in hotel room. The food was pretty good, lot of variety for breakfast and dinner! Would definitely return

Every single member of staff is amazing and so attentive! Food was incredible every day, great location and so close to the beach. Pool facilities are great and feels very luxurious. Only issue we had was the noise levels from the room - the walls are very thin and the doors may as well not be there as you can hear everything from your neighbours, in the corridors, and from the cleaners. Our room was also right at the top of the stairs on the first floor so we did get a lot of noise echoing up from reception and the dining area but this didn’t go on late. Even with all that, we would definitely return (and maybe just request a room not on the first floor!).

Great location, super friendly staff, Francisco at breakfast and server Adrian always so welcoming; their happiness is contagious! The front desk staff was also great and worked with us honoring our hotels.com gold member benefits. The pools are really nice with comfy chairs, locations is excellent walking distance from beach and restaurants. Breakfast was good, excellent variety. Dinner was ok, but with so much variety you’ll find something you enjoy, but overall the staff made our stay perfect that everything seemed amazing!
