Fantastic hotel, rooms a little dated but some much going on for families we were only in there to sleep.
Food - Amazing, Staff - Awesome, Entertainment - Brilliant, Beach - Fantastic, Surrounding area - Walkable, safe and clean, Location - Perfect.
All in all a great location for a family holiday, that good we are thinking of returning next year!

Five star, only problem was flushing toilet but after noticing it to the reception it was solved within 30min.
Kids (and we) were super happy with breakfast and dinner (only had half board), good variation of foods.
Drinks and beer at low prices.
Nice entertainment both during the day and the evening, best was the foam party last day.

Excellent location with only a few meters to the beach and the ocean.

Great stay. Some potential issues - see review.

Overall great. Lifts were in and out of service, so would be an issue if mobility is a challenge or have a pram. Air con in room did not work, so would be an issue in the height of summer. Neither impacted our stay as we could take the stairs and April weather cooler at night.

This was a wonderful place to stay with young children. We are a family of 5 with a 7, 4 and 3 month old baby at the time. Resort was great for what we needed. Beach right outside resort was incredible. Very safe with young children.

Great family holiday!

We had another great family holiday here which was loads of fun as always. The staff were all excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly/helpful. The daily activities were excellent with a good range for all ages. Parts of the hotel are starting to become a bit dated and maybe with other more modern hotels in the area it could use a bit of an upgrade at some point but generally was a great experience and stay again.

Já fui em outros hotéis da rede Iberostar , mas o Ciudad Blanca me surpreendeu. O cuidado com o hóspede já começa na recepção onde fui muito bem atendida e ganhei uma taça de champanhe e bombons . Todos os funcionários do hotel , sem exceção, são simpáticos e solicitos. O café da manhã superou minhas expectativas. Tudo muito gostoso e com muita variada .
A cama era muito confortável .
Recomendo o Iberostar Ciudad Blanca.

Fanatic option for families. The rooms themselves definitely cater to families - however, as many have said, they definitely need an upgrade. These are very basic rooms. Beds are not overly comfortable and you only get one pillow.
Regardless, it is a great option. The beach and the resort itself are fantastic.

Great staff and pools.....but...

The Hotel pools are brilliant and the Staff are amazing!! Food gets a little repetitive and bland......rooms need a refurb and matresses are terrible...springs in the back. Just buy new matresses and would make a huge difference

We had a great room with plenty of space and an amazing view over the pools and to the sea in the distance.
There is a large main room with two sofa beds and a kitchenette with a table and 4 chairs. There is also a separate bedroom with twin beds and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
To improve we would have loved an extra bedroom so the lounge could just be a lounge rather than having to use the sofa as a bed but this seems to be the same for most places we looked at.

Excellent service, amazing variety and quality of food and great entertainment for both adults and children. The only one criticism would be that too many guests leave there towels/belongings on sunbeds and then don't use them for hours, or sometimes not at all! There should be a policy, like in most resorts, that if beds are unattended for 2-3 hours then towels should be removed.

Noisy place. Bedroom had no window, Bathroom pas in fair shape and poorly lit. The rooms looked old and the air conditioner was noisy. When we commented they immediately sent a tech who made a bandaid fix which made the situation tolerable.

The locations looked trashy. Parking was in the street where you could find it. Overall, we expected more for the price of the hotel. But we were pleased that the staff was professional and us check out early after one night and refunded the remaining days,.

We moved to a beautiful hotel outside of Vlldemossa which we liked. Super clean and much better rooms at slightly lower price. That saved our vacation in Mallorca.

Lovely hotel! Great for families.

We returned having spent a week there last year and had 9 more fantastic nights. We love the pools and the beach and the entertainment is great. The kids really love it there.
Breakfast is brilliant - so much choice!

We stayed in block 2 which was quieter than block 1 last year and several kind people left buckets and spades and inflatables in the entrance when they left which we used and then left for others when we moved on.

Annoying that people reserved sun beds near the pools for the whole day. We don't like to do this as find it selfish so never got to use one but there are plenty of chairs to put clothes on.

Overall another great holiday - very sad to be home.

Nice place to stay for your holidays.

The hotel location is superb close to the beach, all amenities meet our expectations. The only issue we had with people smoking in the open areas for example close to \"stage\", while they were children around.

Great hotel for kids with lovely pools

The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and close to the bars and restaurants.
The hotel facilities are very good; lovely pool with slides which the kids loved. We struggled to get a sun bed by the pool as annoying people reserved them with towels.
The room was as expected - nice seating area (if you were not using the sofas as beds) and table and chairs to eat at. The view from the room was not great but we had not paid extra for a sea/garden view. The noise from the road was a bit loud in the bedroom but the blackout blinds made it lovely and dark.
The cleaner was brilliant and made fantastic creations with towels and sweets which the kids enjoyed finding each day. Any problems we had (e.g. no kettle) were fixed straight away.
We were on B&B basis so only had breakfasts which were great. There was lots of choice and the restaurant was clean and well run.
The entertainment was fantastic; lots of events though the day and a show every night which was a bit late for our kids but looked brilliant.
Overall a lovely hotel.

Average hotel with a high price tag

Utterly unhelpful reception staff, the only person who helped was a lovely trainee when we had problems obtaining our transfer pick up time to the airport. The hotel staff really seemed uninterested and I had to ask a few times if they could ring up as the number was native to their country and the instructions on the phone were in Spanish. A few times they told us to 'go away and check later' by which point the staff had changed and we had to relay our issue all over again to a new person.
The main pool had to be shut down one evening with no explanation why.
The staff round the pool (lifeguard) were really nice and playful with the children. When inquiring about upgrades from half board to all-inclusive (and any other options they had) they were very dismissive and only after significant discussions with the other staff were we told about the various packages which aren't even on their website.
The food at breakfast and dinner (we were half board) was really good with a good selection however, I would not use this hotel again nor would I ever recommend them based on their reception staff and general disdain and unhelpfulness.

Shabby Rooms, No Lift, Bit Tacky, Awful View

You will see from our reviews that we very rarely leave anything negative, we're not that fussy and we're nice people!

When we arrived there were no porters available (they were ALL having dinner at the same time!), normally not a huge issue what with the invention of the lift, only we were on the 3rd floor and there was no lift!!! So our 4/9 year old children and 76 year old grandmother had to haul all the luggage up 3 three flights of stairs themselves (Dad was not on this holiday due to work commitments). Nice welcome...

If you like cheap 1970s decor in your room then this is definitely the hotel for you. The set up was awful, 3 single beds and a narrow sofa for a family of 4. Never mind that we had paid three k (for a week) under the assumption that at the very least we'd have comfortable bedding.

There are a hundred other things we could complain about (forget trying to get a sun lounger, the Germans grab those at 5am), but really the issue is that the hotel has far less sun loungers than hotel guests. Meals were stressful as huge numbers of people trying to eat at same time and the general deafening noise.

We find it hard to believe that this hotel has such a good rating, it honestly makes no sense. Are they all genuine?!

Worst experience!!! do not waist your money!

The hotel is run down completely, (we even had used a knife to open our shower ever day) the service was poor we spoke to management nothing came of it, our room was so loud we didn't sleep. We checked if the windows were open it was so loud, but they were closed, you heard the bus and car yelling all night. The food was awful and re-purpose from the night before. Couldn't change your towels only on specific days. we had two amazing week in Spain until Iberostar, it is the worst hotel I would never stay there even if were free..
We left the hotel and spent more money to eat at other restaurant which were so much better, (Players on the beach) great food and great service..

hey there, I have stayed only for tree nights in Iberostar Ciudad Blanca but it was amazing. Resort was family friendly- with playground, children pool and children disco after diner :)Great location you are not too far to Alcudia port- resort has access to beach so it is easy and convenience if you don't want you don't have to leave hotel to enjoy

Great family hotel close to beach

Our two year daughter loved the baby swimming pool with its water slides and model squids. The other two pools were lovely - the only criticism being the sun loungers seemed to get 'booked' quite early. The animation and 'Mini Club' were great fun but seemed to be aimed at slightly older children. The hotel mascots, Starkey and Stella, were great but we found it annoying that each nights entertainment ended with a rather disorganised conga through the bar area - great for older kids but not suitable for 2 year olds.

The food was very, very good and great value if you choose to pay in advance. There was everything you could ever want for breakfast or lunch on offer including chocolate fondue and a million different cakes. On occasion the queuing meant the food was a little cold by the time you got to sit down but the quality was good enough not to worry too much.

Good hotel. Very nice room with sea view and excellent breakfasts. They put on breakfast at 05:00 on race day which was a very big tick in the box. It was about a mile walk along the seafront to the main event location on the beach and less than a kilometre up the road to Transition.

We chose this hotel because we have stayed in other Iberostar resorts and were pleased with them. This hotel was not up to our expectations. It is clean, but very dated. We found out later that it is considered to be one of Iberostar's lower-end hotels. We stayed in a deluxe room. Upon entering our room, there was a long hallway. To the left, first was the bedroom, then the next room on the left was the bathroom and straight ahead was the living area and small kitchen. As the bedroom was adjacent to the hotel hallway, there was very little natural light in the room. The bedroom housed a bed, two night tables and a small desk (with no lamp on it). The closet was generously sized for a hotel room. The tub in the bathroom was quite narrow, but it may be that I am comparing it to American bathtubs. There was a small table in the kitchen. The living area had two sofas and a table. There was a sliding glass door from the living area to the small balcony with a beautiful view of the resort's main pool. We selected the breakfast-only plan for our stay, not the all-inclusive meal plan. The food was average compared to other resorts where we have stayed. The beach was a close walk, very beautiful and very long. We did not make use of any other hotel services, so I cannot comment on those, although, the front desk staff was very friendly.

We have just returned from a one week stay. This is a great hotel for those with young family's as the facilities (pool, kids club, kids evening entertainment) are fab! Our kids particularly loved the evening entertainment especially the big fluffy Stars that greeted them each night. The hotel is ideally located on the beautiful Sandy beach with shallow calm waters and not far from alcudia's port area which offers lots of choice for shoppers and diners. It's a lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Mallorca.

Flawless experience

From the first second my friend and I set foot in Iberostar Ciudad Blanca, we were treated like movie stars. During our 4-day stay, we felt like every employee made an effort to get to know us and find out if there was anything they could do to improve our stay. It never seems like a \"forced sales-pitch\", but was always genuine and friendly. We arrived to find our double room upgraded to a sea view apartment. The room had comfortable furniture, good air conditioning, and a lovely balcony. On my friend's birthday, a member of staff came to our door with a bottle of complimentary cava, despite us never having mentioned the birthday to them. The restaurants and bars were good quality, and again had lovely staff, and the beach was perfect. Though we do not have children, we could see that this resort is very family friendly, with a good selection of childcare and \"kids' clubs\" available. And child-free travellers will be happy to know that, upon finding out that we were travelling without children, the staff always made an effort to be respectful of that (for example, pointing out to us a smaller swimming pool hidden back nearer to the beach, which, they explained to us, \"tended to not have as many children as the main pool\"). The spa was above average quality as well... If you get a massage, ask for Raquel - her hands were magical! Everything we needed for several days of relaxation was right at the hotel; we never got bored despite hardly leaving the premises. 10 out of 10!

Great Family hotel!

It was our first time there this year. We have two young kids. The pools were just perfect for them. We had an all inclusive package which was worth it specially when going with kids. The hotel is also located by the beach with easy access through its garden which made it very easy. Would definately recommend this hotel for families looking to have a fun and comfortable vacation.

Great hotel, great location!!

Had a great time at the Ciudad Blanca. We are a family of 4 with kids aged 6 and 9, there was loads for the kids to do both during the day and at night, and plenty other kids to play with. There are 2 pools, the grounds are lovely and it's right next to the beach. It is quite a large complex and can be busy by the pool and in the resturant at night, but never had any problems getting seated. We were all inclusive which was great, could help yourself to soft drinks at any point throughout the day and the food was really good, there was loads to choose from and wasn't the same every night. The animation team were really friendly and worked tirelessly day and night, the reception staff were really helpful and the bar/waiter/chef etc all pleasent. We would go go back.

Just back from 1 week all inclusive to the Ciudad Blanca. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the staff, service and accommodation were excellent. The food throughout the week was very varied and of a high standard. Plenty activities throughout the day for the kids if they wanted to join in and pool facilities were clean and well laid out. Friendly, welcoming and helpful reception staff assisted with any queries and allocated us a room for a late check out on our day of departure.

The service makes the Hotel

Me, my wife and 3 year old have just returned from our holiday and can not say a bad word about the hotel.
The staff, especially the entertainers, are fantastic! All so happy and always going out their way to make your day the best it can be.
The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a sea view apartment in the same block as the reception and really couldn't fault it. If we had to find something The only thing we could have done with was a smaller saucepan to boil some water for coffee on th balcony when we woke up.
Location was great with plenty of restaurants in close proximity. We did tend to make the trip into the port area for dinner as there are restaurants on the beech with play equipment for the little one. (Didn't have all inclusive)
Maybe a little advise for anyone visiting is make sure you go to Lidl and not the Spars for anything. We found them expensive for things other than alcohol.
The evening entertainment was great and our 3 year old loved playing in the green cushions!

Nice, cosy, close to the beach and places to eat

The room was a nice cosy flat style, clean not too close or far away from the central area so noise wasn't an issue at night. AC kept the place a comfortable temp during the night. Everything was within 2-15 minutes casual strolling pace from the hotel such as general stores and restaurants, entertainment, places to rent bikes/cars, etc. Buffets at breakfast had a bit of everything. The pool had a seperate kids area so you could relax despite families being there. overal a very nice stay, wish we'd been there for longer.

I think we arrived at beginning of season and were first to use the apartment. Self catering. 1 large pan in cupboard no plates and very little utensils. Reception sorted it by end of day. None or very little daylight in bathroom or bedroom as overgrown with Ivy which made the bedroom very cold in the evening. Fleeces in cupboard used on beds every night. They did cut down the ivy the day before we left at an early hour. But staff great hotel nice food good. And we are planning another stay . August or Sept instead of May.

Very nice hotel.

We thought it was a really nice hotel, that you couldn't really fault. However,as a couple wanting a relaxing mini moon break it felt like the area was too touristy and swarming with families. We would pick a quieter area next time.
The staff in the hotel were very nice and attentive.
We both had massages at the hotel, which we were quite disappointed by. They left the room a lot and it seemed bizarre pouring oil on my head for the Indian head massage. But they were very friendly.

Lovely holiday

My husband and I stayed at Cuidad Blanca again, this time on a couples holiday. Food was fantastic, no way anyone could say there isnt anything for them, not blighted by flys and wasps too which was a bonus especially when the hotel is actually onthe beach. Rooms do need updating but are cleaned everyday. Receptions staff fantastic, cleaning staff fantastic, porter fantastic, all staff around and about the grounds were fantastic and this includes the entertainment staff, most of the staffin the resteraunt were fantastic but there was one or two that were miserable and I wouldnt approach them if I had a query! Mainly a family holiday hotel especially for this time of year so my husband and I spent most of the time on the beach which the hotel walked out from onto, beautiful location.
Overall a brilliant holiday in a beautiful hotel andwould we return! Of course we would, weve stayed herebefore and that was great and thats why we returned again - we will return :)

Perfect for families

We've just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at this hotel and loved every minute. The hotel was spotless, (including daily maid service in the rooms) and there was so much choice of food that we were spoilt for choice, even with me not eating meat and when we went out for a day trip there was no issue with sorting out a picnic. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always had time to speak to the guests. The entertainment staff did an excellent job of entertaining all the guests no matter what their age was from morning to night, including having a mini disco for the children every evening. Our daughter joined in with the daily Mini Club (ages 4-7, although there were also two more clubs for older children) she loved the variety of activities and we felt completely confident that she was safe being left in their care. There was a great pool which varied in depth from knee height to chest height and had a slope to walk into it, if you preferred the beach you walked out of the hotel straight onto it. We were in block 2, which is behind the evening entertainment area and in a room by the lifts which was noisy at times, but having booked up the holiday less than 2 weeks before we traveled we obviously weren't going to be getting the best room in the hotel. We did speak to others in block 2 and they didn't have any problems with noise in that location. We would certainly return to this hotel and the children have already asked when we'll be going back

A Geat Hotel

My wife, son and myself have just returned from the Ciudad Blanca Hotel.
Regardless of what you think, I have never written a review however I was compelled to do so on this occasion.The food, accommodation, location in relation to the beach as well as the hotel amenities are out of this world...............it is a fantastic hotel for taking your family to.
What also struck us was the how hard working all the staff were.
The hotel was spotless and the extra little touches such as making the 'swans' and 'boats' etc from the towels and leaving them in your room was a nice little touch.

Noise from the road caused us problems.

We were given an one bedroomed apartment in Block 6, which is situated next to the main road. The noise from the road was terrible and traffic carried on all night. We were only staying for a short stay and didn't want to pack up and move, so we ended up sleeping in the lounge area which was furthest from the road. We also paid for internet connection, the staff forgot to tell us that it doesn't reach Block 6!

We would stay again, but would request a different Block!

Ideal all round

Great location right on the beach. Great pools and plenty of space for sun lounging. Impeccable service from every member of staff we met, they particularly made an effort with the kids. The food was of a very high standard, plentiful and of great choice. Very spacious rooms, would reccomend a sea view too. The hotel has a very fresh and clean feel thought, there is a lot of attention to detail. We stayed for a week(2 adults 1 child) and couldn't have been happier.

Stayed on room only basis. Plenty of options elsewhere for food, all inclusive seemed popular though. Hotel clean, grounds well tended, pools clean and good for families, activities available but not intrusive if you weren't interested. Did join in with aqua aerobics, and enjoyed that. Ads stated 15m walk to town/port but that would be v fast pace and far too hot for that. Was about a 30m walk for us along beach or on roads.
Beach cafe right outside, perfect for lunch/snacks, with cooling breeze and fabulous views over beach. Would recommend.

Four Star European Style - Five Star is Better

AMAZING turquoise beach with at least 100 feat of shallow calm water is an ideal setting for families with kids, beach is impeccable. Hotel is great but lacks the \"carribean\" all-inclusive feel or ammenities, we did a half-board option with a 21 month old baby and the hotels food was exceptional for adults but not enough kid-friendly foods like hot oatmeal, or chicken soup, etc. (none of that was to be found). You have to pay and reserve your beach chair (which was shocking for us) and there isnt enough shade on the beach if you want to spend all day there. The pool, hotel grounds, layout, etc. is impeccable and so is the hotel location. Overall it is a great place, just not really what you would expect. For example the \"half board\" option meant that the waiters threatened us to pay for tap water or buy bottled water (which might be acceptable for a European) but no for an American. The head waiter and hotel manager were very accomodating and gave us milk. The rooms do have a proper kitchennete and if we would have prepared more, we could have technically cooked for our child, and made oatmeal (but again, thats not the purpose of going to a resort). All in all, a really great place - but we would probably still stay at a 5 star next time, but definitely in the same area and on the same beach.

ok pool and beach for kids - lousy neighborhood.

Hotel is fine - delivers exactly what it sells - pools could be cleaned better - with so many users daily vacuuming and full speed on circulation 24/7 is needed. Internetconnection at 20 Euro for a week basicly ONLY works when you literally is standing with your device on the reception desk and you loose connection constantly - This is simply such a stupid and lowtech fault that it should be corrected IMMEDIATELY. Breakfast good quality - lousy coffee and juice. Pleasant and effective staff - bald lifeguard at the pool extremely vigilant and effective & really a guy you like to have there when you have little kids..

Vi reste 2 vuxna och 2 små barn. De hade bra mat, många aktiviteter till barn, personalen proaktiv och trevlig.
Rummet var fint och rent.
Det endast negativ var ventilationen i rummet som fungerade ibland och AC var likaså. Som tur vi reste i oktober när vädret är behagligt.

Die Unterkunft ist toll, aber leider erwas in die Jahre gekommen und dringend renovationsbedürftig.
Ansonsten alles gut, top Buffet (wer hier nichts zu essen findet, hat ein ganz anderes Problem).
Personal ist stets bemüht und und aufmerksam.
Sehr gute Lage zum Strand.
Der Hafen von Alcudia ist fussläufig sehr gut innerhalb 20 Min. erreichbar.

Très bon séjour, hôtel familial

Un hôtel familial très agréable avec 3 piscines mais pas chauffées. Impossible de s'y baigner fin avril et j'avoue que ça a été la mauvaise surprise. En dehors de ça, le personnel est absolument incroyable. Aussi bien les femmes de chambre qui font un travail remarquable que le personnel du restaurant qui rendent le séjour encore plus agréable.Toujours au petit soin, toujours un sourire pour les enfants. Le buffet est assez varié et franchement bon. On s'est bien régalé. Les spectacles du soir sont vraiment bien.
L'accès à la plage très proche.
Les chambres sont, en revanche un peu vieillotte.

Bra läge men behov av renovering

De allmänna ytorna var väldigt fina, perfekt för oss som trebarnsfamilj. Tyckte också mycket om läget direkt på stranden! Vi hade bokat familjerum för att kunna vara ute på en liten gräsmatta men de rummen (XXL) hade hotellets säkert sämsta läge och gräsplätten vette direkt mot gata utan avgränsning så vi kunde inte nyttja den. I tillägg var rummet mycket slitet, det hade ruttnat i garderoben så vi ville inte ens packa upp kläderna ur väskorna. Daglig städning kan inte ha inkluderat golvet för vår 11-månaders bebis var alldeles svart på knäna när han kröp omkring inne. Köket var inte utrustat med kokkärl så ingen möjlighet att laga något själv. Skulle komma tillbaka för läget och gemensamma utrymmen om rummet fick ordentlig renovering men skulle oavsett välja rum i annan del av hotellet.

Hotellet er meget stort og er henvendt til børnefamilier. Det er dejligt at hotellet ligger tæt ved stranden. Der skal betales for at anvende safety box, det er ikke rimeligt når værelserne i forvejen er dyre. Der skal betales depositum for badehåndklæder og disse kan kun udleveres/afleveres i en 2 1/2 times periode midt på dagen, det er ikke god service
