Our stay at Xanadu Main Beach Resort was nothing short of a dream! The accommodation was simply the best — truly a dream place to relax and unwind. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Waking up to the stunning view from our room was the highlight of every morning.
We arrived quite late, but the clear instructions provided by the resort made everything so easy and stress-free. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional — definitely a solid 10 out of 10.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and outstanding service. We can’t wait to return! 🌊✨

This was our 3rd time at Xanadu - and honestly - it is THE BEST value for money & quality on the Gold Coast. If you are staying - go the deluxe ocean view - you wont regret it. The apartments are HUGE - and are right on the beach in stunning Main Beach. You only have to cross the road - and you are on the beach. All the Ocean View and Deluxe Ocean view apartments have spectacular views. For the same amount of money that you would pay to stay at the Sea World resort hotel and get just a single, pokey hotel room with 2 queen beds - at Xanadu you get: a HUGE 2 bedroom apartment (that can EASILY sleep 6) , with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a full laundry, 2 full lounges, 2 balconies, a huge flat screen tv, a full dinning area, free underground parking, and 2 swimming pools. Seriously, you simply can't go wrong at Xanadu. PS: You can WALK to Sea World - 15 leisurely minutes up the beach.... Xanadu is AWESOME.... We will be back...

Love this resort. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here this year. Great facilitues, the apartment is large and spacious, great for families. 1min walk to my new favourite cafe, The Winey Cow, 2min walk to all the cafes, restaurants and shops and only 4min to the Tram.
The only bad thing about this resort ... is having to leave! But we will be back next year! Thanks Xanadu Resort.

Our first room had construction going on next door. Noisy, dirty, dusty. We could not open any doors or windows. Xanadu changed our room.....but we should not have been put in that room in the first place

Lovely big apartment with everything needed for a great stay. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen.
One downside was the showers; very poor pressure and extremely difficult to get a comfortable temperature with no mixer tap. Also, the hot was extremely hot (and difficult to balance with the cold) - to the point that it could be dangerous if a child turned it on unsupervised.

We had a lovely long weekend at Xanadu. We stayed in a two bedroom superior Ocean view unit which was large and very clean. The views were spectacular and the refurbished unit was lovely. Undercover parking was free and easy to navigate. There were a lot of restaurants within an easy walking distance. Highly recommend!

Overall this was a great stay. Apartment was huge and watching migrating whales from the balcony every day was amazing. Close to main beach village and easy to get the light rail or head out and about in the car. Pool and gym were great. Aircon was effective. Only down side was the wifi connection was really rubbish. We paid for the premium and even that was really up and down in terms of connectivity.
But you don’t go on holiday to sit inside using the wifi so it wasn’t a major drawback for us. Would totally stay here again.

Staff were great. We had a 2 bedroom ocean view room, massive room which was great with 2 balconies. Wouldn’t recommend for families with small children as concrete walls and lots of glass furniture. Also got asked by a visitor for one of the mainstay residents rooms if someone of my colour was allowed in these buildings. (I’m dark skinned). The area is the apparent rich area so you do get glares and stares depending on who you are around main beach.

The Xanadu is on the older side but has been mostly renovated. The ducted air conditioning in our unit did not work properly, on heat, so an oil filled heater was provided for us which made the living area warm enough but in this day and age it should have done its job properly. Having the entire unit warm would have made our stay much more comfortable. Our unit was a good size, very clean and had a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was very well appointed with good appliances etc. but both the kitchen and the bathroom could do with an update. The units are in walking distance to the beach and the main street where there are cafes and a grocery store. Overall, not too bad for our six night stay.

Xanadu will definitely be on our return list. The only thing we could fault which is outside their control, is the construction going on outside. The work started most days before 9am which wasn't ideal.

Not well managed or communicated. Construction sites on both sides of the premises and they send a special notice to say the refurbishment of their premises is completed. I have been here 4 times now and twice people were renovating units within the complex near enough to hear the drills etc, and this time massive construction on both sides. When you pay so much for a 4 night stay it is a pity you have to go out to be able to relax.

For example, the 3-seaters being used were most likely in the $4,000-5,000 price range from a commercial furniture company.
We will be coming back next year. Keep in mind we went in the winter time after school holidays had ended. So timing may also be a factor.

Always a great stay at Xanadu. The facilities are great & good location. Unit was very nice & mostly comfortable. Issue with heating but every effort was made to fix. The showers in both bathrooms were very sensitive with temperature control & as a result, you could not shower for long. There was a major issue with construction work noise starting very early in the adjacent complex. This was not a Xanadu problem but it did make the stay a bit frustrating. These guys are starting loud work way before 6am!

A small but usable gym has everything you need and the apartments come with all cooking utensils you need. I would suggest they include some kind of oil for cooking, I was starting 3 nights and it is not worth buying a full bottle of oil but I definitely needed it!

View!!!!!!We have stayed at Xanadu almost yearly if available. Have stayed a few other places due to needing 3 beds sometimes but always feel comfortable at Xanadu and the units are large and fresh. 2 balconies. Easy walking to beach shops and restaurants. Overall a wonderful family stay at Xanadu (12yo and 10yo children). Tedders Ave around the corner was great for dining out. Loved joining the locals for the ritual beach-front exercise each morning! Such a beautiful place to stay! We had a superior one bedroom on the 22nd floor and could not fault the apartment at all. The balcony was amazing, the view incredible. Unfortunately our timing was off as this is where we watched Cyclone Alfred come in! Great communication with all the staff…the ladies on the reception were wonderful and so helpful. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Xanadu as the place to stay.

The overall style and presentation is still stuck in the 80s. Our room while spacious had lumpy and scratchy furniture and bedding. We had to cover with towels.

Perfect except for the aircon
The apartment was perfect except the air conditioner didn’t work properly. The air flow to the bedroom was very poor which ment I had to have the aircon on very gold for the bedroom to cool which also ment the rest of the apartment was too cold

We had a wonderful stay at Xanadu resort, this was our second time staying here, we were last here five years ago, on a trip to Australia from the UK. When we arrived in our apartment there was a lovely welcome back gift for us which was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated.
There was a lot of work going on with the driveway and gardens which are looking good and I’m sure will be beautiful when finished.

Came down to the Gold Coast for my Mum's 80th birthday and stayed at Xanadu apartments.From the time we checked in with the lovely ladies at reception we cannot recommend highly enough how polite and friendly they were. Our unit was absolutely beautiful maybe a little to high for me (17th) storey but still fantastic and up to date furniture. Would highly recommend Xanadu.

Our two-bed apartment was very spacious and first rate, and in easy walking distance of a selection of restaurants and shops. It had everything we wanted ...except oven gloves, which really need to be provided. There were a couple of other 'negatives' (although we would happily stay at Xanadu again). Only two dishwasher tablets were provided for a 4 night stay, so annoying to have to buy more. (Not the sort of thing you pack!) We had problems with the internet and although the router was replaced immediately, we had continuing problems keeping devices connected.

The Xanadu Apartments (North and East Tower) are extremely enjoyable, right across the street from the beach. Main Beach is a quiet and upscale area which is just what I want for a relaxing vacation -- a short 2-3 block walk gets you to Tedder Avenue where there are some nice restaurants.

Great views if you get the nicer rooms. Unfortunately there were tiny ants in the bathroom as well as in the kitchen which crawled over to our food stuff in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. After hours checkin was a bit of a pain to get sorted noting that they wanted another holding deposit over phone while we wait for the building access. Other than that, it was great.

Our family stayed at Xanadu for 3 weeks while moving our son to Australia. This was a beautiful property. Our 2 bedroom unit had an amazing view of the ocean with a huge balcony to enjoy the view. The place was furnished and supplied with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The bedding was comfortable. The facility had a great pool which we enjoyed and was across the street from Main Beach and the great walking path along the beach. There were many good restaurants a couple of blocks away on Tedder Avenue and the surrounding area was very quiet and safe. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Plenty of positives over all only negatives are procedural I think the length of stay for a room to be maintained is a little long, should be reduced to 4 nights and the reception could work longer hours. These are trivial in some ways but it really would improve the stay. In peak times I think I. Apartment food options would be a massive improvement we stayed at a single room 160 per night motel on the way home that had a buffet breakfast and restaurant, a place like this you kind of expect some kind of option.

WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN
We have stayed here four times. Our previous visits were without problem. After checkout we received a call accusing us of using the second bedroom in our apartment, advising that we would be charged for cleaning. We did not use that room. Left us feeling uncomfortable with our visit. Something went wrong from their end and we were blamed. After two phone conversations with the managers I felt that they still did not believe us but would cover the cleaning cost. There was no apology or concession that they may have been in the wrong. We are very disappointed and will not stay here again. If you book one bedroom make sure that the second bedroom is locked or has been checked clean.
