There are so many great things about this hotel; however, solely based on there being a communal bathroom for their bar area, we will not return. As a female, it feels extremely concerning that anyone can walk in the bathroom you’re in, especially in a bar. That’s really disappointing because other than that, the bar, staff, and location were amazing.

The rooms with two beds lacked a couch/chair or communal seating area. Don’t expect to hang out with your friends in the room unless you want to lay down on someone else’s bed like a 20 year old. Also, zero insulation between floors and could hear every step above you. The ceiling of our room was the concrete floor of the room above us. Housekeeping also never came.

Staff was great. Room was okay at best. I feel it was lacking in a few things. No mini fridge or microwave like most quality inns or whatever was a buzz kill. No actual closet to store clothes but rather just random spots to hang things up made the room feel cluttered and cramped once settled in. Other than that, was nice enough. Definitely have stayed in worse places

Staff were very friendly and helpful, there was a parking garage close to the hotel and they had valet parking available. The room was very clean and maintained well. The only downside I noticed was that I stayed here in a Saturday night and there was a lot of noise and activity outside which was distracting and would make it hard to sleep if your going to bed early. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back again.

The check in was weird and confusing. You had to go to the bar with to real signage. The room was woefully sad and small. The bed was basically a futon and everything was strange and definitely more for form over function. Everything was clean and orderly, just a very underwhelming experience. And there was no bars of soap for the shower. For $200+ a night I expected more.

Property was small. Room was tiny for a king room. First night extremely noisy(not the properties fault just the area). Our room was only cleaned once in our three night stay and towels had to be changed by us. First night only one elevator was working. Monday afternoon valet parking was closed due to mechanical issues.

Bed was comfortable. We went for a room with a terrace and the terrace wound up being almost as large as the room. Room was clean but VERY SMALL with no closet and some pegs on the wall to hang items. Food options were close and very good. I think this is a \"chic\" hotel option for many but we prefer a more traditional and larger room so I don't think we'll go back for that reason alone. Limited interaction with staff but they were friendly upon checking in.

The Moxy offers basically zero amenities- right down to a front desk. You will be required to go down to let every visitor or delivery up which is especially irritating consider the lack of room service. It’s. Hotel for young one-nighters. There is no closet- only pegs on the wall and it turns into a nightclub most nights which they lamely apologize for with an insufficient white noise machine.

All in fine. Just not for me.

Nice hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, the music from the bar was so loud we couldn’t sleep. Went on until 2 am. I am a very sound sleeper so l imagine there were other complaints.
Spoke to the manager in the morning and she made it sound that this is normal on Friday/Saturday. I wouldn’t recommend staying unless you know you going to late.

My bathroom in my room was filthy. The toilet had not been cleaned properly and there was a weird brown substance (old coffee or urine, I couldn't tell which) all over the outside. I did not alert housekeeping bc I always bring Clorox wipes with me and I cleaned the toilet with those. There was a very noticeable bad smell upon entering the bathroom, which disappeared after I cleaned it myself.
The first floor was always dirty with trash on the ground. I wouldn't stay here again unless they actually start cleaning.

The hotel was modern and different from other hotels. The environment was fun for a weekend away. Bar downstairs was overrun by college students at night in which some were definitely underage drinking as they were not carded. But overall the staff was friendly and the place was clean. Our room was small but it was just my husband and I, so it worked perfect.

Although the property was right in the heart of one of the most vibrant districts in Columbus the fact that they had a bar on both the penthouse level and the first floor level meant that the property was loud and overcrowded until approximately 2am. If you are on one of the upper floors the club music will keep you up until that time.

Had a great time at the Moxy. A couple of small things came up while I was staying there, but both were immediately addressed by the superb staff onsite.

Only comment I would have is that I didn’t do my research and realize there’s a club/bar on the 10th floor. I was on the 9th, so got a bit of noise bleed from upstairs on Thursday and Friday night. So? Be aware that it’s up there. :)

Beware of Nightclub

Nice hotel. Annoying two key cards needed, one for the lift, and one for the room. BE WARNED! There is a nightclub on the top floor, floor 10. If you get a room on the 9th, or 8th floor, and you stay over Fri/Sat, you will not sleep till 3-4am when the club shuts.

At night lobby full of drunk kids from the nightclub. Likely won't stay agin.

Room was neat and clean, if a little oddly-designed. This is definitely the partying section of town so expect some noise, potentially into the early morning hours if the club on the upper floor is hopping. Expect the party people too: in the lobby, elevators, and sometimes the hallways. Staff was courteous and efficient, and reasonably responsive even in the early morning hours.

Overall, a decent play to stay the night in a lively part of town.

We really enjoyed our stay! Super cool vibe, fun bar and perfect location. Service was friendly. Would stay there again no doubt about it!
The rooms are small, but we were not there to stay in the room so it didn't impact us. We stayed for two nights...much longer than that would be tough as far as space goes.
Bed was a bit hard for my taste, but overall comfortable.
The bar on the rooftop is loud so I recommend asking for a lower floor room if that will bother you. Our room had a white noise machine that helped alot.

Hotel gave us a room on the 9th floor which is right below Mandrake the rooftop bar. It was terrible and no one would be able to sleep with sound blasting from the bar until 2 am! The rooms/ hotel poorly designed for noise/ sound control. If you want to party, this is the place to be, but if you are looking for a hotel, don’t ever book a stay here! The hotel staff was also not apologetic at all or did not even offer to move us to a different room on lower floors. Marriott Bonvoy should drop this hotel chain as it is shameful this is even on their network!
