We stayed at this property Saturday, April 25 for the Luke Combs concert. The reviews weren’t bad at all so we took the chance and booked it before it sold out. Upon checking in and entering our room, the toilet had pee on the toilet seat and a tampon wrapper in plastic part was in the trashcan. A towel was already used to dry hands in the soap was opened.. the air conditioner made a sound like it had a rattle inside of it so at night that was real enjoyable to listen to for $331 a night. I expected a lot better.

We came for concert at the Shoe only 25 minute walk, nice to have several restaurants within walking distance, great room only bad thing was floor looked clean but feet ended up filthy just needs mopped. Loved the steamer, blow dryer and refrigerator worked amazing beds were very comfortable.

We felt like the pictures on the Expedia were a bit misleading - we were expecting more of a hotel and it is really a motel.
That being said, it was a really cute property and the front desk service was quick and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but very crinkly/squeaky sounding.

The Olentangy Motor Inn may be the best \"bang\" for your travel dollars in Columbus. It's an old-style motel where each room has a door directly to the outside. There is no interior hallway. The room was adequately sized. Ours had a king sized bed. The headboard wall was freshly wallpapered with a Marimekko - style wallpaper. The contemporary headboard had two, attached, bedside tables and the outlets above them had C type and USB type outlets in addition to standard electrical outlets.
Through the sleeping portion of the room was a dressing and sink area. The fixtures were newish. To the right of the sink area was the wet room with toilet and full-sized shower. The toilet was new. The shower was new with a sliding glass door that ran on a track. Everything was spotless. No mold or mildew anywhere.
Two negatives on the room- The texture paint on the wet room ceiling was compromised by the moisture and pieces had detached. The micro-perforated shade on the one big window was fine during the day, as it's semitransparent and we could see if someone was walking past. At night, however, when the inside of the room is brighter than the outside, we couldn't see out but passers-by could see in. There was no blackout curtain or shade to prevent this..
Guests of the Inn get one free breakfast sandwich and a small coffee at no additional charge. The sausage, Swiss cheese and egg sandwich was excellent.
The staff working the reception area also prepared the food.

We had an absolute terrible experience. We book for one night to attend my young daughter’s early morning soccer tournament. At 2 am someone was knocking at our door viciously and yelling. The person would not stop me we could not reach via phone anyone at the reception and we could not leave the room because we didn’t know if the person was armed or if there was another person around. It was a very scary experience from all of us. Specially my young daughter. After over 10 minutes we finally got a hold of the someone at the reception. No one came to talk to us nor to apologize for it. I went to the front desk next day to talk about and the employee said the manager would call me but she never did.
We paid to sleep for 1 night and NO ONE slept a thing after the incident.

This motel is a complete gem! Clean and well presented with a microwave and fridge in the room. There is an ice machine in the coffee shop which is attached to the motel. Breakfast sandwich and coffee included each morning. Staff are friendly and responsive. You are in walking distance of shops restaurants and OSU (20 minutes walk). Highly recommend.

Arrived, at check-in. No one around. Went in cafe and back to check in. Knocked on the window. Staff less than welcoming. Said he was having a bad night. Bed and shower great. Night light, which doesn't turn off kept me up. Next morning went down for free breakfast, (breakfast sandwich), and coffee, (no decaf). It was 2 minutes after 9. Refused to serve me due to 2 minutes late. Made decaf in the room. Creamers were curdled and some dried. Bought coffee. Brought fruit for trip which I put in the fridge. Fruit froze. No way to turn down temp of the fridge. Left for our day activities and returned. No housekeeping. Only towel replacement. Got up next day and got breakfast sandwich. It was dry and had clearly been setting in the warmer. Coffee almost gone and cold. Ice machine broken. Came back to room later, no housekeeping. Husband complained and lady said she would make a note for housekeeping. Had to ask for creamer, coffee cups, wash rags, etc. Got up the next day, sure we would have housekeeping. Got back in the evening. No housekeeping. Complained to front desk. Lady apologetic, said she would notify supervisor. No follow-up from said supervisor. Went to lobby to get supplies. Lady was defensive and implied I was acting upset. Brought supplies. Questioned why I didn't just call down instead. Ask for tissue and she said, \"that wasn't on the list\", but did supply. Packing to leave in AM. Fridge item frozen solid. Hole in can. Garbage never emptied by staff over 4 nights.
