This was the dirtiest place I’ve ever visited. In fact, I spent about 10 minutes in the room and decided I did not feel comfortable staying. The room was filthy and there were drugs left on the floor I assume from the previous person that stayed in the room. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay far away!

Comfortable room, well located with a great restaurant in the parking lot for a late dinner. The staff were the real stars here -- there was a faulty smoke detector in my room that kept chirping despite having a battery change when I first arrived and the overnight desk manager came right up at 5 a.m. to fix it for me! Wonderful people, so incredibly friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The room door would not stay close unless locked from the inside, the wind would literally blow it open, shower did not work at all, no water from shower haead or faucet, just from the sink, and had the nerve not to refund my deposit! The bathroom has a tiny sink area with no room for bathroom, necessities nor cosmetics, etc. When I went to take a shower, it took seven minutes for the shower water to turn from freezing cold to lukewarm. In addition, the shower surface was flaking off and debris was going down into the drain.

The Employee working the desk at motel 6 was extremely rude to me and unhelpful. He didn’t honor my third party booking with hotels.com and kept the non refundable online payment. He said he would honor the booking if I paid him 50$ cash on top of the 70$ that I had already paid online to stay after hours on November 20th 3am-11. This all happened after I had booked a reservation through hotels.com for after hours check in for around 3am- check out at 11. I needed a place to sleep. So not even a full day stay. The problem lies in the fact that Hotels.com doesn’t officially let you book after hours reservations. But I had one key credits I needed to use because I couldn’t afford to pay the 70$ without my credit. So to avoid making a reservation for a booking of a typical check in at 3 on the 20th and checking out on the 21st at 11, I called motel 6 and spoke to someone at their call center who reassured me that if I hung up and then booked a reservation at the motel 6 on olentangy river road for the 20th checking out the 21st on hotels.com that when I arrived to the motel 6 on olentangy river road in Columbus, they would honor my after hours booking for 3-11am on the 20th. It was an 8hr booking for the same day of the 20th. So I booked a room for 70$ online at hotels.com for the 20-21st. When I arrived the front desk person wouldn’t honor the after hours booking I made for the 20th and wouldn’t refund my stay. I lost 70$ and then he tried to scam me out of 50$ cash to stay.

After a long drive and needing to use the bathroom, both lobby restrooms were out of order. After checking in and going to my room the main light did not work, the fridge door did not close all the way and was warm and the shelf where you can hang stuff was coming out of the wall and the room reeked of smoke. Requested new room and the clerk took me to another room but advised the shower was \"difficult\" to work. He messed with it for a few minutes and we then decided to move the fridge from that room to my original room where i would put up with the smell and non working light. When I went to plug it in I noticed the third prong in the plug was broken which would be a fire hazard so I declined putting it in my room. The clerk then took me to a 3rd room that was good enough although the water pressure in the shower was practically non existent and if you turned the knob 1/8 of an inch to far either way you either got scalded or frozen. There also was mold in the seams of the tub surround and the ice machine was not working. The general state of the motel seemed to be sad and in disrepair as if no one cared enough to get things fixed. While in the lobby another customer came in to ask for a different fridge as well as theirs had mold in it. I chose Motel 6 based on the website pictures of the room and description in general and was highly, highly disappointed. The price was not worth the frustration and aggravation as the issues made me late for my daughters wedding rehearsal.

My complaint has nothing to do with the hotel's condition; it has to do with the hotel's \"gameday\" policy. I received a phone call at 9 am, which I almost did not take because it was an unknown number, asking me if I still intended to use the room I had reserved as a pay-at-property reservation months ago. I said yes. I was told that I had to pay right there and then, over the phone, or the room would be released. It felt like a shakedown. I don't like just giving my credit card information over the phone, and I like to pay at the property so that I am there when the charge is run through. I have never had an issue with this! I paid because I had no choice. I was told that this was a \"gameday\" policy, but I can't find that anywhere stated on my reservation. Very shady!

There were people outside in full ski masks hiding in bushes. I was unable to go to sleep one night due to someone playing music outside until 2AM. Hotel service desk did nothing to help and suggested that I go outside and tell them to stop.

My room was quiet, lean and very convenient. The location seemed to be centrally located and I was near all of the right places which was tine saving. The shower and resrroom was very clean and there. Was no loud noise around me so I was able to get good rest. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Great job. 👍

Arrived to the hotel got checked in. The toilet set was broken and when I complained to management. I was offered another room it was nasty. When I asked the night manager what would be done to remedy the situation I was told that I would have to speak to the morning management. When she arrived she refused to even speak

Don’t do it. We drove up, property looks very run down. Got to the room, checked it out- lifted sheets it was clear they had not been changed after the last visit- new blood stain, black curly hairs, dirt, make up stains on pillow. There was a terrible plumbing issue causing widespread sewage flooding. Nothing was done to remedy the situation.

The room was to be non-smoking, but reeked of stale cigarettes upon arrival. There were no toiletries offered, aside from a single bar of soap. The water pressure in the shower was non-existent. The only plus side to the stay, was the close proximity to the event that brought us to the area. This location will be filed as ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT ONLY in my travel log.
