The ocean was visible from the room. I was there in the winter and weather was not conducive to walks on the beach but I’m sure it is lovely in warmer weather. The Spain Restaurant was just down the road a couple miles and was excellent. The staff very nice and helpful. The restaurant was recommended by a staff member.

A group of us came up in the off season for duck hunting. Before making our long drive, I called the office to ask about parking my truck and boat in their parking lot. The employee assured me that there would be room and it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived, there was 1 parking spot taken in all of the lots. At check in they told me that it would be an additional 20 dollars per day because I had an 18ft boat trailer. I told them that I already cleared it with someone on the phone, proved it and then they still charged me with the response that it’s just policy and that associate was newer. We just towed a boat for 700 miles and I would have stayed somewhere else if they would have refunded me (I requested to have a refund and they stated no). After having to pay that, they asked that I park the boat around the back of the building because they could get busy. During our trip, the parking lot had only 1 vehicle in the lot. I didn’t want to park the boat out on the other side so I had to disconnect the boat every day. Not impressed with the customer service especially when they knew very well that it wouldn’t get busy and they made me pay 20 dollars per day to park it. Also, twice we went to try and exchange towels and get toilet paper (late afternoon but before 9pm) and no one was in the office. Overall, we ARE coming back to the area next year, but this WILL NOT be our place of stay. NOT IMPRESSED

The interactions with staff are super lovely and my rooms are always super clean and cozy to stay in. I will always highly recommend staying here if ever someone is going out to the area! It’s been my top choice for the past 5 years and it will continue to be!

Scarborough Beach Hotel is perfect for beach lovers in Narragansett. Nothing fancy. Easy walk across street to the beach; leave car at hotel and avoid parking fees. Rooms are clean and very well designed - though they may feel small at first the furniture and layout kept us comfortable throughout the day and night. Staff is friendly and helps with any request.

Please not room next to laundry area.

The room was a good size but it was right next to the area where the staff washes linens. So in the morning there was a lot of noise that was right up against where the headboard of the bed was. That lasted for over an hour…daily. Parking on the backside of the motel is tight and people didn’t park in between the lines and I was forced to park in a non marked spot. I did put my parking pass on my dash though. There was a slight step up to the room from the door that was marked with worn yellow tape. The bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was a dehumidifier in the room in addition to the a/c so it was a bit noisy. I shut the dehumidifier off after it became full and I emptied it. I was so excited to stay here because of my stay last year. This stay was meh.

The property was clean and well maintained. I would suggest not only vacumming the room but also washing the floors in the room as well as the bathroom. The pads on the mops I saw being used were very dirty. I think they should be changed, for good health reasons, after each room is wiped down.

I would have liked to see more choices for breakfast such as fresh fruit in season, whole wheat toast, and or small containers of yogurt

The motel location is excellent. But it was not worth $350. They don’t have an ice machine and charge you for ice/water. They exactly charge you for everything!!! Charge for an early check in and no late check out. The breakfast is only bagels & they watch you making it. The room was fairly clean but the floor is so sandy(guess that’s the cost of being near beach).

Nice place across the street from the beach.

Rooms feel a bit damp even with AC on. Perhaps small dehumidifiers would help.
As for the rooms basic but nice. Small fridge with actual freezer so you can buy ice cream for later. Small ice cream and food place I don't think they have an indoor place but they have picnic tables and umbrellas.
Shower had built in bench great for getting sand from between toes. Staff was wonderful. This was our second year going. Just so you know out of state is only $12 for any of the beaches. If you walk on it's free .

Being a smoker it was nice to have chairs outside each room with a table and ashtray.

All things considered great quiet place to stay..

Could tell they have worked on this property recently to update. That being said, walking barefoot on the floor turned our feet black. The transition from the shower to the bathroom floor was loose. The hair dryer did not work. One of the usb ports for charging did not work, there was drywall dust on the molding in the bathroom, and the pillows were like cinder blocks. Also I’m told the smell from breakfast made its way into our room as we were adjacent to the lobby/ breakfast area and there is a door adjoining the two that’s likely not well sealed.

The staff was very friendly and helped me with one issue I had. Also being right across the street from the beach was a huge plus. I’d think about staying somewhere else before coming back there but wouldn’t rule it out. Was just a lot of little things.

Friendly, welcoming, in need!

While the Front Desk attendant was very welcoming, informative, for the “off season” price, the value was lacking. The property is clean, however, the room decor is dated, in need of upgrade. The breakfast offering was weak and offered in a small space in the check-in small lobby. Finally, and only as an informational point for the owners who live above the room we we assigned, #107, we heard their conversations, as if in the next room, as late as 10:00 p/m.

Property was nice but overall construction was cheap. Have lived in S. County for years and building overhaul has been cheaply done. Hot water took forever to get to temp, people/staff living upstairs were heard and I was awakened at 5am in the morning. Must be great for the influx of vacationers but not so much for me. Staff was excellent!

Would definitely recommend!

This was an amazing place to stay, but beware in the off season there are few places around to eat at because they close in the winter. Perfect for a winter birding trip though!
Would have liked some larger bath towels and more than 1 per person, but we made it work. The shower had amazing water pressure, but the temperature was a bit finicky. REALLY appreciate the fact that there was a mini fridge AND freezer so we coukd refreeze our cold packs for the long trip home.
