For the price point, I expected more. We were given a room with a harbor window so clouded with mold floor-to-ceiling (between the panes?) that you literally could not see through it. To the desk person's credit, she moved us to a new room when we went back to the desk. This is something they KNOW about and evidently continue to book guests into it, hoping they won't complain.
The room was OK, but again, for the price point, it was disappointing. It needs a good deep cleaning. The sheets were ripped. The air conditioner is LOUD.

The reason we come back is the VIEW from our room! I live in land locked Missouri so it is SO wonderful. Your staff is terrific. We were in 556 - the bathroom fan did not function - only thing that needs fixing, We will be back!

Each of the staff members we dealt with or encountered were so very nice, the gentleman at the desk when we checked in, the employee just coming into work running to catch up to me in the parking lot to open the door for me, the woman at the desk when I needed to ask a question about parking my husband’s truck, the two staff members who replied to my text messages asking about the ice machine and requesting ice to be brought up, and the cleaning woman who greeted me in the morning when we saw each other in the hall. I came to Newport for the third year for the RI AA Convention which is held at the Newport Marriot every February and they have a block of rooms at a discounted rate which I used the previous two years. My husband and I tried Club Wyndham on Long Wharf on a whim this year after finding and booking it on Expedia. We LOVED staying there! The key feature that got us was the kitchenette as I have dietary restrictions so bring my own food. We decided we are going to stay here from now on for my future conventions. The view was breathtaking, right on the water! The staff as I mentioned was wonderful. The property was well maintained and the room was clean, cozy, convenient and the price was reasonable. Next year we may even come a day early so we can enjoy some time in the pools!

This is our 3rd stay here and it is always wonderful! Beautiful clean rooms with everything you need and great views. Also, walking distance to the bars, restaurants and shops on Thames st. The front desk is always helpful with suggestions and very accommodating. We can't wait to come back!!

Since I have a bad back I specifically chose this hotel for the hot tubs d indoor pool. Facilities were being renovated so we were unable to use. To use any amenities you have to walk a short distance to another building. On a cold day or really rainy day I know this would deter me, and keep me in my warm room. If you want to go swimming in the property pool just keep this In mind.

Not Bad for a Bargain
Overall, our stay here was good. It was a good value for the $167/night we paid. Would I pay much more than that for it? Probably not. Our room had been somewhat recently updated, although it was in a \"lipstick on a pig\" sort of way. From a distance it seemed nice, but up close there are signs of wear.
We stayed on the top floor and it was extremely noisy on one particularly windy night. The other two nights were pretty quiet. Definitely recommend bringing ear plugs just in case.
There are limited spots in the parking lot and not once were we able to park at the Inn of the 3 nights we stayed there. We had to park across the street at the main Club Wyndham building. It's not far, but it was a little inconvenient.
It was not clear from our Hotels.com confirmation that, regardless of what time you arrive, you have to check in at the main Club Wyndham building across the street. We stayed on the top floor and it was extremely noisy on one particularly windy night. The other two nights were pretty quiet. Definitely recommend bringing ear plugs just in case.
There are limited spots in the parking lot and not once were we able to park at the Inn of the 3 nights we stayed there. We had to park across the street at the main Club Wyndham building. It's not far, but it was a little inconvenient.

Great location and views in Newport
Although the building isn’t impressive at first glance, the unit was really nice and well-appointed. All the necessary items were in the kitchen, including knives you could actually cut with - a rarity at any rental - and nice glassware. Lovely view of the marina from the living/sitting area, and perfect sunsets every evening.
The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of storage for belongings. Another reviewer mentioned the air conditioner is located in the living area which makes it a challenge to regulate the temperature in the bedroom, which I agree with.
We had a few minor issues which were handled promptly: the toilet wasn’t flushing properly immediately after we arrived (and hadn’t put anything in it), someone was there to take care of it quickly.
The other issue was the shower, which I didn’t report but probably should have. The handle to switch the water from tub to shower didn’t seem to be working well - the shower came out as a very weak trickle which wasn’t a great experience.
Other than those two things, we had a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet but close to everything. Can walk to most places which is a plus since parking in Newport is scarce. Great staff, very helpful. Fantastic roof deck! Basic wifi is so basic it doesn't work half the time, so spend $ on the upgrade at the beginning. If you try to upgrade later, its a huge hassle.
