I was so impressed with my stay at Rheas! Room was exceptionally clean and had everything I needed. breakfast was plentiful and perfect for runners (I stayed here for the Newport half marathon). Walking distance to Eaton's beach - perfect location for this race weekend. Jacuzzi tub was heaven after the race! Highly recommend.

Rhea's a gem of a location
Tony is a great host, the Inn is perfectly located across from a beautiful beach and just down the road from the northern entrance to the cliff walk and the mansions. The inn is situated about a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Newport and all the great restaurants and shops. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed and Tony has made sure that all safety protocol's are observed. There is a simple but adequate breakfast available and if you need a full breakfast there is a restaurant within walking distance. I recommend Rhea's for a great night's sleep and an excellent location at a great price.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at and I’ve traveled a lot! Bedding and towels had a fresh scent like washed in your own house! Beds were comfortable. No hot breakfast but a variety of cereals, muffins, bagels cakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, tea,coffee,juices available 24/7. Stayed on the second floor with deck and jacuzzi tub. Views are the best from 3rd floor. Nice seating area on each floor for extra room if wanted. Walking distance to numerous restaurants, the beach, and the start of the Cliff walk. Extremely happy chose this area to stay in rather than upper Middleton where “ big name” hotels are located.Easy drive to downtown Newport, 5-8 minutes. Perfect location and perfect hotel for trip to Newport!!

The breakfast isn't \"fancy\" but it was a nice touch with lots of options and we enjoyed it. Easy parking. It wasn't cheap, but it seems like a good value based on the area.

We had an excellent overnight stay. The hotel looks recently renovated. The hallway carpets were spotless. The bedroom and bathroom were good-sized and in excellent condition.
There was a cute seating area on the 2nd floor where we stayed, which has three rooms. So if a family or group booked those rooms, there's a little common area to gather in.
The office area serves as the breakfast area. It's compact but well-organized with a couch, TV, ice machine, hot and cold water dispenser, coffee, tea, a refrigerator (stocked with yogurt, milk, juice, butter, jelly), dry cereal, oatmeal, English muffins, Pop Tarts, fruit, muffins, cookies, granola bars -- so many choices!
Rhea's is in a great location. It's a short-ish walk to Easton Beach, and just beyond that is the famous Cliff Walk. There are several restaurants and stores very close by.

Rhea's is a true little gem. The Inn is remarkably clean. The staff is truly friendly and happy to have you there. It has a very homey feel and is very laid back, friendly feel. Rhea’s Inn was absolutely beautiful!!! We booked a king room with a deck which overlooked the ocean. The room and bathroom were large and exceptionally clean!!! Coffee and breakfast(bagels, muffins and fruit) were included. The owners was very friendly. He gave us a lot of recommendations in the area and chatted with us everyday. The surrounding area was nice, walkable, safe and only a few minutes to drive to downtown Newport. We loved it so much we recommended it to a family member who will be there later this year and they booked it also. We would definitely stay here again!!

Newport Long Weekend
Our stay at Rhea's Inn by the Sea was enjoyable. Our third floor room had updated furniture which was clean and provided ample storage space. The bathroom was updated, as well. Stairways and public areas were clean, too, although the floor level \"lobby\" areas looked a little bit dated. It looked like the place had just been painted because the woodwork was so clean, but I have a feeling that the place is just well taken care of. There is a lobby area down by the front desk where fruit, granola bars, muffins, juice, etc, etc are all provided. What a BONUS! The motel is within walking distance to a nearby beach, Clementine's Ice Cream Shop and Flo's Clam Shack. It's also somewhat close to the Cliff Walk and within easy driving distance to downtown Newport. If you're looking for a Hilton with all the amenities, this isn't it, but Rhea's is a very clean, comfortable, quiet, family-owned place.

I can’t say enough how cute and quaint this little hotel is. Such a great location, super clean with amenities galore. The owner/manager was so kind and attentive, and the lobby was full of everything one could need for a comfortable stay - for free. It’s the little things - and Rheas has that covered. Fresh fruit, breakfast items, snacks, coffee, ice - I couldn’t think of anything more they could have added!

Came up to celebrate my 55 birthday with the wife. The location is a stones throw from Easton Beach, Cliff Walk, and many great seafood restaurants nearby. Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, and we just loved the jetted tub in the bathroom. Had shopped around the same area for rooms, but for the price, this Inn is a hidden gem! Will be back before the end of the summer!

What an adorable inn! We stayed in the King with Jacuzzi tub and it was beyond clean, bright, comfy - my husband requested us to go back and ENJOY THE ROOM! It had a cute little balcony that you could see the ocean from. We can't wait to go back!

Awesome stay! We came for a weekend family wedding at The Newport Beach Club. Rheana’s By the Sea was walking distance to the venue and restaurant. Tony was an awesome host and we had plenty of good food for a nice continental breakfast and snacks!! We will return!!

This was our anniversary getaway. We love Newport and were looking forward to a quiet stay. Rheas was great. Our room was on the top floor. It was spacious, clean and quiet. With the balcony door open, there was some street noise, but we could also hear the surf. We will definitely go back.

We stayed here for two nights in September and really enjoyed it. The owner, Tony works the front desk and he was friendly and helpful. The lobby was stocked with all kinds of snacks and breakfast items (all free). The rooms were clean and comfortable and while not walkable to Newport, there were restaurants and bars that you could walk to as well as a beach nearby. This hotel is truly a hidden gem.
