We had a great stay at your property. We were there for our 35th wedding anniversary. There were chocolates and Prosecco in the refrigerator when we arrived. The staff was great very friendly and that began with Brian. Who is he valet manager. He was very personable and gave us many suggestions on what to do during our stay. It’s a beautiful property. I recommend it highly.

Fantastic hotel. The staff was exceptional, so many details were thought of. Tons of gathering areas in the lobby, bar, and elsewhere. Loved the pool table and dart boards in the bar. Restaurant had a gorgeous view and really good food. Room was very clean, everything smelled good. No complaints at all, overall this was a really nice hotel worth the splurge!

We had a really lovely stay for a long weekend in the off-season and overall had a great experience. The hotel has a beautiful setting, and while our water view room did include some rooftop in the sightline, you could still catch the water from certain angles, which was still a nice touch.

We really enjoyed spending time at the Torpedo Lounge—the atmosphere was great, and the live music one evening was such a highlight. Decor of the rooms and hotel is beautiful. We had a very anoying industrial humming that we heard from our rooms, never stopped…all day, all night! We thought it was the airco,but it wasn’t. It was really disturbing. Made our stay a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice, though very slow, on Friday, today it was good.
So all in all, we liked the hotel very much, but would reconsider staying again because of the noise.

Upon arrival, there were no available parking spots, and the valet was rude and yelled at us about where we parked. Dinner service was unacceptably slow and inattentive. It took 32 minutes to receive our drinks and over an hour more for our salad and appetizer. We were seated at 7:20 PM and left at 8:53 PM. Several menu items, including oysters and cheesecake, were unavailable, our to-go coffee was forgotten, and little attention was paid to our table.
The room raised serious concerns: glass on the bathroom floor, a burning electrical smell, a loud generator-like hum that caused headaches, extremely low shower pressure, and unexpected handicap shower equipment. Additionally, no spa treatments were available despite being advertised. Overall, this stay reflected poor management, safety issues, and service well below expectations for this property.

The resort was beautiful! We celebrated our daughter’s surprise engagement! The rooms were great, the bar was perfect and the grounds and decorations were an added nice surprise. They also surprised our daughter and fiancé with a surprise bottle of champagne with chocolates and a note left in their room . We can only imagine how nice it is in the warmer weather too . The room was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely and the atmosphere was top notch. I would have given 5 stars but we arrived 10 minutes after the 4pm check-in time and still had to wait about a half hour or more in the lobby with our bags before our room was ready.

We went for a spa weekend and the spa was completely booked for all 3 days. This would have been understandable as the had a wedding and a non profit meeting on the same weekend. However , when we asked if we could use the advertised amenities such as the sauna we were told you could only have access if you made a spa appointment. Obviously we couldn’t do that. It would have been nice if we were allowed to pay for a day pass into the spa like other resorts allow. There was nothing for us to do onsite. We just spent all 3 days out. We were looking for a more relaxing rejuvenating weekend. We didn’t get it.

This hotel is pretty nice, but could be better. The breakfast service was painfully slow, host seemed very stressed, and the kitchen wouldn't allow me to add tomatoes to my omelet, Lol! Silly! They need fans in the hotel room bathrooms, too. But, overall, it's a nice location on the water, rooms are clean and spacious, many rooms have balconies and nice views. The Torpedo Bar at night was fun: live music, pool and shuffleboard. This is a decent hotel that could be GREAT with some better guest service.

I want to start off by saying I don’t write reviews ever, but there were some PROS/CONS about this trip. Firstly, prior to booking I called to make sure the outside pool would be open since I’m traveling with a 7 year old boy, i was told yes until 9/30/25. It was only open 9/27 and closed 9/28 & 9/29 (and yes we still had to pay “resort” fee for closed pool. Secondly, upon check in we got to our room which was beautiful, but had a foul wet smell, like A/C mildew condensation, and damp bedding, they were quick to find us another room but tried to put us in a super small, no patio room as our first room was large with patio. Then finally moved us to a room with a patio, although the room was very small. The view made up for it. The bell hop happily brought our bags to the first room, and was tipped to do so. As far as the second room switch around 11pm w a 7 year old child he had left the cart outside our door for us to ourselves, which was fine, but rude in my opinion considering none of this has to do with us, and has to do with malfunctioning AC unit. The resort itself was beautiful, the views were like a story book! It was truly a great hotel, and the food at the hotel was wonderful, with lots of places to eat at the Wharfs, we picked the hotel restaurant, twice. The man that drives the van, Scott was wonderful and recommended great places to see! Here is where the next beware is, check your bill at checkout, as they tried to charge me $400 more than what was said!

The Newport Harbor Island Resort was a stunning property located right on Newport Harbor, with picturesque views everywhere you looked. I could not be happier with the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly and pleasant staff, and the on-site accommodations that include a bar, multiple restaurants, fitness center and pool/ spa area.

Being a 50 year traveler I have very little bad to say about this resort. It is quite large with many private sitting and sunning areas. It never feels crowded. Besides their own restaurants there are many within walking distance. There also is a shuttle and a water taxi to take you to the heart to the restaurants.
