We were looking for a place close to the airport for a one-night stay and this worked well! Our room faced the road and were a little concerned that there would be road noise but were pleasantly surprised that this wasn't an issue for us. Staff were super friendly, loved that parking was free, and the breakfast was a nice plus. The room was clean and had some nice updates. The only drawback we noted was that the sheets were a little scratchy. Otherwise, we were happy with our stay and it was a great value!

The hotel was not for my family and me. I looked at pictures and reviews, before booking but in actuality, the hotel was extremely underwhelming, to the point of being fake advertising. The room was not clean, and there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk. Towels were dingy and beyond time to re-up didn't eat the free breakfast and the air conditioning circulated a damp musty air in the room. Book at your own risk but don't say that you have not been warned.

Okay for a budget business stay. Helpful staff. Standard free Breakfast- serves the purpose for starting the day with bread and coffee.
Convenient MTS bus stop within 3 minute walking distance. But last bus is at 8.30 from old town transit center. So if arriving late, driving your own car, rideshare or taxi are the only options.
It’s a motel style single room not much shelf space for putting luggage. Cleanliness is fair and fine for a solo business traveler on budget. It would help if Hotel could put in place a free hourly shuttle to old town transit center. For Uber app- address of the hotel will not pull up the correct name. Still shows previous name of the property. So can be confusing for some new visitors.

Room was close to elevator which was really noisy each time it was operated, that room should had been a storage not a guest room.
Bath extractor fan needed to be replace, too noisy and the A/C unit stopped running before it reached the desired temperature.
TV was not operational because it kept looking for a wifi connection.

The room was clean and just okay. The one elevator was slow and small. There was not enough seating for breakfast crowd. There was a tripping hazard in walkway that was brought to staff's attention, nothing immediate was done. The AC unit worked well but wasn't controlled very well with thermostat...had to keep playing with thermostat. Parking was lacking for all guests. They were out of some toiletries in the room. There were not enough towels in room for standard guests, we had to ask desk and they were cheap and thin. Overall, it was just okay but not worth the $183 paid.

The hotel is in a great location. It’s remodeled somewhat, but it is definitely showing its age. Can’t beat the price or the location. The complementary continental breakfast was better than expected: waffles, eggs, yogurt, cereals, juices and coffee. Didn’t sleep that great because of the freeway and apparently there’s an animal sanctuary behind the hotel and heard birds all night long. Would stay again because of the convenience but bring earplugs.

The area is a bit tricky at night but not difficult to get too. If you go too far you end up making a u turn at the baseball field.
They offered late night check in, before 1 am. But I called just in case because we were at seaworld.

I liked the security of using your room key to get in and out of the parking lot.

The pool was well maintained and had lots of floaties to use. This is one of the rare ones with a laundry facility. The front desk is so kind and very attentive.

I like that the rooms felt secure and very similar to the photos. Great stay and I would definitely book here again. The location is quite central to a lot of things we wanted to do

Hotel seems to have gone through some renovations and hotel staff was quite keen to help in their capacity, especially front office staff. However, more work needs to be done. My room smelled bad, probably it was coming from sink or open bathroom hole, cleanliness was not up to the mark. I just spent 2 nights there, and tried to spend most time outside as staying in room was very tough. Upon complaint, staff gave me room freshener, but it was of no help. Trolley for carrying luggage was broken and elevator was too narrow, staff came for quick support, but it wasn’t a pleasant situation.

This was possibly the worse hotel stay I have had in a while. I gave it three stars because it looks like they’re trying. It is extremely loud because it is on highway. The room was like a hospital. No decoration whatsoever. The bed was terrible and there was no furniture. I literally had to put my suitcase on the cement floor. I would never stay here again.

The place is surrounded by “tweekers” riding their bikes and walking around the property. The elevator looks as if a couple grenades went off inside of it. The rooms themselves are decent but the paint appears to be bubbling up and the sink water pressure is low. If you are able to fall asleep with the small AC unit inside that routinely sounds like a 98 Honda civic reving its engine the previously mentioned tweekers walking along the street yelling will keep you up. Probably would stay again though.

The hotel staff members were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. We really appreciated their kindness and professionalism.

However, there were some cleanliness and maintenance issues in our room. We found hairs on the bed sheets, and there were noticeable marks and stains on the linens. Additionally, the bathroom sink was clogged and would fill up with water while being used, which was inconvenient.

On a positive note, the breakfast was very good, with a complete selection of food and plenty of options to choose from.

Overall, the staff and breakfast were great, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the room could be improved.

Room was clean and intentionally designed. It was a tad smaller than anticipated and there is not much room for holding a wardrobe outside of open hanging closet. We needed up leaving most items within our luggage as we did not pack hangers. The bed was near the AC, so we were able to sleep well in a cold room. Walls are a bit thin and noise travels easily from those next door and above.
The staff was friendly in our late check-in at 3am and accommodating for a delayed car parking pass.

I would not stay here again. This hotel is on the same level as motel 6. Our room had poor lighting, a bed that had a metal frame that creaked every time you moved, even walking in the room. The water handle on the shower was loose and hard to adjust to right temp or even turn off. The water heater was down and they put a sign up saying no discounts lol. The pool and spa were nasty, water cloudy and discolored. The refrigerator wobbled all over trying to open the door. And they didn’t honor the price Expedia said we owed, stating that they don’t include all the fees, but would they really did on our 3 night stay was bill for one day and then two more so they could bill twice on the fees. Would never come here again. We purposely stayed out of the hotel room for as long as possible on our vacation.

The first thing I noticed was a large gap between the bottom of the entry door and the threshold. This allowed outside noise, light, and air to enter the room, making it difficult to feel insulated from the nearby freeway and surrounding environment.

The room itself was extremely sparse. Aside from the bed and a wall-mounted TV, there was virtually no furniture. There was no desk, dresser, or luggage stand, leaving the bed as the primary place to set down personal belongings.

The accessible bathroom was also much more basic than expected. It consisted of a wall-mounted sink, mirror, toilet, and a fully tiled walk-in shower, giving it a very institutional feel rather than the comfortable hotel experience shown in the property’s marketing photos.

My biggest disappointment was that the room did not accurately reflect the photos displayed on the website for this room type. Had the actual room been represented in the listing, I would have chosen a different accommodation. While the property appears nice at first glance, the room we received felt very different from what was advertised.

While we. only stayed there 1 night, it was not an enjoyable experience. Our room was not fully clean. There was hair in the shower, dust bunnies / hair balls all around the room and we did not feel comfortable walking around without something on our feet. We even wondered if the sheets were truly cleaned or if the bed was remade. Breakfast was ok but not something to write home about. The staff was not there but not motivated to help. We did not have enough towels for our family of 4. For a cheap stay it was fine, but we will not be returning.

I had a hard time getting past cleanliness in the room because the floor wasn’t swept, the room wasn’t ready when I was roomed after all. The cleaning lady said it wasn’t ready but I had gotten a key and put all my luggage in already. I had to ask for towels and basics.
It seems like they are scaling up for the hotel to be nicer but it wasnt nice yet by the time I stayed there.

I had a delightful experience here after last-minute booking it following an awful experience at a nearby hotel.

The staff here was kind, prepared and helpful. Room was extremely clean. Check in was quick. Parking is easy. No issues whatsoever. Breakfast in the morning is great, too.

If you’re in San Diego for business or with the family for a theme park/beach vacation, this is a great home base. No frills, but exactly what you need. I would book again. 10/10.

There was no soap or any toiletries in the room. I requested at least hand soap and the front office said they ran out. They gave shampoo and conditioner and said that's all they have
They didn't give us an additional wash cloth even though we had two people. The walls are upper thin, could hear every person walking above or below you and it shook the room sometimes. Anytime I shifted on the bed you could hear the springs.

The description of the bed on the website site was queen bed but the actual size was a full bed. The gym is almost not usable. There is no game room as described on the website. The toiletries was insufficient . The aircon in our room was so noisy everytime it runs on and I was not able to sleep because of the loud noise it was producing every few minutes .The place could use a little bit more cleaning and fixing up. The staff were great though and the breakfast was good. The price we got was good but you really get what you pay for.

It wasn't bad, but lacked detail. Only two light fixtures in a room, no overhead light and one of ours was broken, told them, nothing happened, so we had a dim room. You have to go to the front desk for a blowdryer or iron, the body gel bottle was empty so we had to wash with shampoo, the breakfast kept running out of food, slow to refill, only 1 package of coffee for two people and our room was never serviced.
Having said all this, it WAS clean, the bed was fine and the staff friendly. It appears they are making an effort to upgrade.

Newly renovated, room is clean, very reasonable for the price, i would suggest the floor to be vacuum and wiped clean more, free breakfast, area is so good! Close to everything, the staff r amazing! Special thanks to everybody specially RAUL, very nice guy! I booked this hotel for 3 nights, plenty of parking and very secured, i like it bcoz its “no pet allowed” however wen i was there they told me they start accepting guest with pets, which i dont like bcoz of the smell and the pets surely will lay down the bed, not good to me with cat and dog allergy,

Beautiful property and the staff go above and beyond to give visitors a tour and to ensure their stay is stress free.
Rooms are very clean and nice, not cluttered.
Only suggestion/request: blow dryers in the rooms.
Pool & hot tub are sparkling clean, quiet and the loungers are very comfortable. The landscaping is stunning! You can tell there are personal touches done for the visitors to make the stay more enjoyable.
Highly recommend and would stay again!!

The room was NOT as I saw when booking on expedia, I looked through the pictures and saw the sink had a counter so I would have room for my makeup. When we got to the hotel it was a tiny single sink that had no room for anything not even toothbrushes.
After seeing this I went back to expedia and saw that they used the same picture of the bathroom for every room.

The shower was also troublesome, as you could only get cold water or steaming hot water no in between.

Unfortunately they overbooked and were not able to give me a double bed room and had to go for the king last minute. Also, it was barely 10:45AM and I already had a man knocking hard on the door as I was changing getting ready to leave the room just checking to see if I was almost leaving, mind you checkout is at 11AM. I then went to the checkout desk and no one was there, I had to step into the dinning area and after a few minutes a girl came out, very snarky like I was supposed to know that key drop off was exiting the parking lot...Also, lots of noise in the early morning, I understand renovations are happening but not worth the price. Room looks very nice and fancy, bed was comfortable...overall the place could do better as far as customer service and treating guests with a lot more consideration.

The room was in a popular and beautiful location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful upon check in and any time I needed anything. The continental breakfast was better than I expected.
However...
The hotel itself is VERY outdated, the toiletries and bedding were worn out and terrible quality. For example, the towels were very rough and one had a tan stain on it. The pillows were almost completely flat and the pillowcases and sheets were so rough it felt like paper towels. The AC leaked about 2 cups of water on the floor each night. The shower handle was damaged, so the hot water adjustment was in a different location each time I took a shower.
