Almost got the poolside room but weather was looking bad so I opted for the \"executive suite\" with the king bed. They put me all the way in the back above the kitchen. Had a balcony but it was next to the exhaust fans. View of the parking lot and a bunch of industrial kitchen equipment that hummed all night long. Room was nice and clean but the ambiance was not executive

Eric experience with the Kings Inn was very positive. The room was spacious, very clean, plenty of towels. The cute retro refrigerator was nice, and the bed was comfortable. Guests received a 10% discount at the two different restaurants, and the pool and hot tub were very nice. The location was great, very close to the airport and San Diego sights, and there’s a cute little town just up the hill with lots of restaurants and bars.

One thing my wife, especially liked was that the bathroom lighting was excellent, as by comparison, some hotels have poor lighting in the bathroom in order to put on makeup, etc.

Parking was plentiful, but was $15 a day. That seemed a little high.

This is an excellent tourist hotel, great for kids, and affordable.

Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice stay, just very noisy with our room near the stairs and all the walkways. Lots of noise with our room on that corner. Late arrivals, people by the pool, and going up and down the stairs at night. Really hard to sleep.

It’s 5 starts for the price. There are premium hotels around it for double the cost. Rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has everything you need and was clean.
I didn’t use the pool but it’s big and looked good. SD weather didn’t allow it.
Breakfast wasn’t included but there’s a restaurant there and the coffee was good and the breakfast was excellent. Good Mexican breakfast!
If I had the stay in the area again, I’d pay half price again to stay with Kings

Very clean room, housekeeping staff came every day and did a fantastic freshening up. Good quality linens. Pool and hot tub well with maintained.The restaurant on site was perfect for the location. This wasn't fancy, but was impeccably maintained. I would gladly stay here again

The rooms aren't fancy, just clean and quiet for being close to a major freeway. Staff members are d rue sly and inviting. It's nixie that they have a a cafe just off the lobby, great breakfast for a reasonable cost.

The room had a strong musty, mold-like smell the entire stay. I didn’t have another option, so I stayed, but it caused severe headaches each night and even made my hair smell like the room, and I smelled it throughout my trip home.

Parking is limited and first come, first served. I often had to park far from my room, which felt unsafe walking alone at night. To their credit, the hotel did reimburse me for those nights.

On a positive note, the pool area was nice, and the onsite restaurant was clean and convenient.

The weather stripping was missing on the bottom of my door. There was a large gap between the door and floor allowing the weather to come in. I had to leave a blanket in front of the space while I was in the room.

I enjoyed my weekend stay here. It was in a very convenient location right off the freeway, only a few minutes from Old Town and a short drive into Balboa Park and more of the downtown area. The room was clean and plenty spacious for a solo traveler, housekeeping was excellent in resetting the room every day while I was out. The restaurant attached was also very good, and self-parking was $15 per night, which is on the cheaper side of what other places are charging. Will strongly consider for my next trip to San Diego!

The only issue we had was that the door between the adjoining units allowed noise from the other room to interfere with our sleep. However, the front desk did find another room for us to sleep in and the noisy neighbors were only there for one night. Otherwise, we loved the place. It was so nice to be able to park right outside our room and not have to haul our luggage through a lobby and down the hall to our room. Having the restaurant right there for meals was also nice.

I am beyond disappointed with my stay at Kings Inn. The cleanliness of the room was appalling and fell far below any reasonable standard. The floors were filthy, the phones were covered in grime, and while the restrooms appeared superficially cleaned, every detail showed neglect. For over $400 for two nights, I expected far better. Worse, when we addressed these concerns with the supervisor, Ryan, he was condescending and dismissive. He simply said, “There’s nothing I can do right now.” I will never return and strongly advise others to avoid this place. We decided to ask for a full refund and find a different hotel. Do better Ryan! You telling us that this is not the first time someone requests a full refund for lack of quality service is very concerning.

The property is old, but very clean. I saw people walking around outside throughout the day checking on the property. The room was clean and had updated flooring, but there was a large gap under the door that I covered with a towel every night. The sheets were clean, but pilled. The highway is right there, but you surprisingly can't hear it in the room. It is convenient to everything.

This place exceeded my expectations. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. Room was basic and clean. Really could not have picked a better place to stay. Parking was affordable $15 compared to $25-$40 we paid at previous places that weren't even up to this places standard. Centrally located. I wish I could have eaten at the Waffle Spot, but they don't really have many vegan options. Maybe one day they'll have a vegan waffle by the time I come back. You could hear the freeway, but I wore ear plugs and it was fine. Air conditioning worked. Everything was great. We will definitely be staying there again.

The rooms are small. No carpet. Two chairs without cushions and a small table. A fridge, but no microwave. The toilet/tub room door barely fits past the toilet. There isn't anything fancy or new about this place.

But it totally met my expectations and I am happy to save some money. I didn't need any of the luxuries of a better hotel.

The overall stay was excellent. The motel was very central to the activities for our group.

The room was clean and comfortable. However, the water pressure was iffy. It was great coming out of the spout, but when switched to the shower head the pressure dropped dramatically. Very disappointing.

Otherwise, Had a good experience. I would book again and recommend the motel to others.

Good for the value. Location is just okay. overlooking a highway with what it implies it terms of noise. Motel-type facility so don't expect. Nice pool and good sized hot tube, open till 10pm. ideal for relaxing after a day of work or sightseeing. Overall good for a place to sleep. Need a car to move around as there nothin much nearby.

Found a bed bug on my daughter had to check out at 1:30 in the morning with my 2 babies. Along with feces on the bathroom wall, water damage on the wall with mold and just over all very dirty room. There was a huge spider web on a corner of the room. And I contacted the Hktel staff and said they inspected the room and found nothing but I know what my husband and I saw it there is no dobt it was a bedbug. Just please avoid this hotel!!

Outstanding! This motel is wonderful! Great location, clean, restaurants on site, great pool and outdoor lounging area. Staff - AMAZING! I left my favorite robe behind and once I notified them they shipped it to me the next day.
I was here as a business traveler and even though this is a vacay vibe kind of place, I felt welcomed and comfortable. I would absolutely stay again!!

The room was very clean and they even made the bed and changed the towels. This was a huge surprise since this has not happened lately even in far more expensive hotels. The only negative was that the bathroom was small but it is an old hotel and not much can be done about that. Onsite is the Waffle House restaurant. The service was fantastic, great variety and Paula provided the best service

Booking nos llamó la atención los excelentes reviews y el precio que pagábamos. Teníamos la duda, pero quedamos gratamente sorprendidos. Un Hotel modesto pero con atención y amenities de primera. El restaurante aún mejor. La comida deliciosa y platos muy bien servidos en sabor y tamaño. Da fácilmente para compartir Excelentes precios y si estás hospedado te dan un 10% descuento
