Beware: they require an additional $20 for parking. There is no on-site restaurant and the front desk never mentioned a Bunz Burger Joint so I don't know what restaurant their ad is talking about. Other than that the room was adequate.

We had a great two-day stay in San Diego! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were very clean and spacious enough for four adults. We especially appreciated the excellent handicap parking, which made arrivals much easier.
The only downsides were that our room door (277) was quite heavy and hard to close, and the hotel does not have luggage carts which made it a bit difficult since we were traveling with my handicapped grandmother. It’s also quite a walk from the elevators to that specific room. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and the atmosphere!

Let me start with prefacing this review by saying “you get what you pay for”. The photos online are VERY deceiving. The property looks like it was recently renovated but if you take a closer look, you can tell that it was budget friendly and poorly done.

The entry/exit situation is confusing for first timers. I somehow ended up going the wrong way and then having to make a u-turn because another exit was closed.

Pet friendly, so prepare for the extra noise. When we arrived, there was another guest sitting outside their room with one of the room chairs with their unleashed dog. Looked him he and his fur buddy were standing/watching guard. Not very welcoming if you ask me; more intimidating.

I knew that this was going to be a place where we rested, not relaxed. So going into the trip I had very low expectations.

Walls are extremely thin. You can hear your upstairs and next door neighbors. There was an odor in our room that was reminiscent of WD40.

The wall AC unit, small mini fridge and door was so loud.

Parking is $20 a night. You get a parking pass to put on your dashboard. And it is first come, first served. So if you’re out late and come back to no spots, be prepared to park off site and pray you don’t get towed. The property is right next to a highway so you get that noise too.

It is what it is. Close to everything you want to do in SD but definitely not comfortable. And we will not be returning.

I would not stay here again its better to spend a little more money and go else where. The room had a weird smell, black bug on the wall, ac barley cooled down the room and the shower was clogged filled up everytime we showered. The hot tub didnt look clean the tiles were stained yellow.

This hotel fits our need for a clean, comfortable and convenient stop when we are in San Diego. The staff is accommodating and our room was pleasant and roomy. We have stayed here previously and this was by far our best experience with a large accessible room. We unloaded the car directly into our room. Most hotels in this part of Mission Valley charge daily for parking as does this one. The rate here was a little less than others. Only disappointment was that the restaurant was gone. It was a convenient amenity.

The staff at the front desk were nice yet the room was not the greatest. The handle for the hot water at the sink did not work, the cupboard door at the sink was hanging down, we could hear the the upstairs guests walking/stomping/dropping things continuously nearly the entire night... It was a great location, though, for where we needed to be at an event this weekend.

The beds were clean. They tried to make it nice.
We had ants on our bathroom sink area. We had no food there either. We complained they offered to come fix it however it’s super annoying that it was not fixed before we got there. Also in general the room has seen better days. The art had chips out of the frames, bathroom fixtures were not finished correctly.

It was clean but just 2.5 star hotel not a 3 star hotel.

Always a great stay at the Days Inn. We do recommend family and friends here all the time. Only issue was the bathroom sink handle was loose and the hallway smelled heavily of chlorine. Other than that beds are very comfortable, rooms are quiet, parking is great and overall a good stay.

The room was very clean, they had extra shower and hand towels also including pool towels. The staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk for check-in and check-out. Every time we went to go explore San Diego, we would come back to new bed sheets and a clean room. They do go above and beyond at this location.

Pro's-the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location.
Con's-the water pressure is very low for the shower, the freeway is very noisy and the exercise room is a joke. The tread on treadmill was almost ripped in half. Very dangerous and unsafe.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. It felt like little balls of balled up socks in a pillow case. It was so bad that why wife woke up twice crying in the middle of the night and had to change hotels for the next night. I do not recommend.

We enjoyed that checking in was pretty easy although the check in time has been pushed back to 4pm. We enjoyed the privacy and that everything was pretty quiet during the night.

We were informed that parking was $20 a night the fact which should be included into the daily costs of the room, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the staff we encountered.

Strong smell of marijuana, could hear traffic very clearly from room, looked nothing like the pictures advertised, they had a water outage for several hours and we couldn’t shower before an event, every noise from rooms beside us and walking above us could be heard, it smelled musty and the puddles from the lack of drainage is terrible during rain. Oh, and our sheet was stained on one of the beds

It was a terrible experience.

It was fine, I know it's just a 3-star hotel, but I would still expect and actual door for the bathroom (not an old sliding door that's hard to move), the exterior door was barely soundproof and could clearly hear everything outside and you could see light coming in around the door, and the toilet would barely flush and the tp holder broke. Nothing hugely annoying, but prob won't be back.

I think the property management needs to find a solution for their guest. Hot tub & pool were nice but a little crowded with kids because of the holiday weekend. Rooms were remodeled and modern. The bathroom door latch was broken & the gym was tiny with broken treadmill. The location was perfect distance to Ocean Beach & Gaslamp district. Mission bay & Sea world just a few miles away. Fashion Valley mall just half a mile away. I would stay here again. Beautiful rooms & comfy beds.

Night #1: Elevator to first floor rooms was insanely slow. Everyone uses stairs, however door to stairwell slammed shut in a concrete stairwell, which sounded like a cannon blast. At 3am, San Diego SWAT team conducted a raid.

Night #2: Very tired after almost no sleep, long day at conferences. Three separate fights / domestic violence incidents. Called front desk, moved to new room. New room REEKED of mold / mildew… but at least it was quiet.

Night # 3: One neighbors dog barked non-stop, while to other neighbor engaged in “fun time” with their bed aggressively pounding against the wall, while the female partner seemed to be practicing for the choir. Not very good at singing, but just loud.

The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and patient. I don’t remember his name but remember that he was polite and friendly. However, I will not choose this hotel again due to the extra $20/day fee for parking. It is ridiculous that you have to pay a separate fee for this. I did not know about this fee until the day we checked out. I booked through Expedia and nowhere in my itinerary was the extra parking fee mentioned, it was only upon checkout that we found out about it. For this reason, I will choose a different hotel next time, thank you.
