I travel all over the world. I’ve stayed at everything. The Ritz Carlton to off brand Filipino hotels. And a number of Motel 6’s all over the US and other Accor properties in Europe. This place wins the prize. Dirty. Unsafe. Not remotely like the pictures. For only the second time in the last 40 years, it was so bad I left. Trash everywhere. Some unknown liquid on the floor. People loitering all over the property, staring at us when we went in our room. People apparently living in the buses by where you park your car. And I suppose waiting for you to go to sleep. People driving through and being handed small packages through their car windows in exchange for cash. When I left I asked for a refund. Told that I’d have to talk to Expedia. Expedia gave me a refund and we moved to another property down the road. I’m all for supporting locally owned hotels. There is a very good Motel 6 down the road. I seldom write a negative review, but this is to say the least unacceptable. I sincerely hope this one takes this criticism seriously and fixes their operation and brings it up to standard.

No room service. Did not get clean towels. TV didn’t work. The floors were very unclean & sticky. I felt unsafe as well. I’m pretty sure there was drug dealing & prostitution going on there as well. If I hadn’t had paid ahead of time, I would’ve left after the first night. It was absolutely horrible!

Walked into our room, blood on the walls floor and ceiling. Beds were wet. Other guests were hanging out in the parking lot, drinking, music blaring, catcalling. Didn't feel safe as a single mom. We left immediately. Front desk staff was super helpful in making sure we received a refund.

Will not be staying here again in the near future. Don't let the promo pic on this site of the lobby fool you. It is very run down now. Used to stay here once/twice a year while at horse events at the KY Horse Park - maybe 7-8 years ago and thought we'd come back as having the doors open to the outside is so easy and parking is great. But now this year, I booked a non-smoking room - but it smelled like a dirty ashtray from other people smoking in the room and the sheets were clean we think - but stained with ink and other \"things\", the bathroom floor hasn't been cleaned for a long time, the tub had smudged stains, the walls were literally dirty like a greasy mechanic rubbed their hands on the doors and a few places on the walls, the air conditioner kind of worked, the beds are more of a futon mattress. However, the best feature was amazingly great water pressure in the shower ! We are home now, and my clothes all smell like I was out at a smokey bar all night. So sad to see this long time local value hotel with a great location get run down - feels kind of sketch ghetto now. Be sure to lock you vehicle and room doors if you stay there!! I do want to add, the front desk lady with the beautiful piercings was so nice and welcoming - she was the best thing about our stay there!!

Very dirty. Our room had blood on the walls. The bed dressing was not clean. Cigarette holes and hair on the blanket a sheets. Seemed more like an apartment. People hanging out in the parking lot. We went to another hotel. Still waiting to see if we will get a refund. The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and friendly. Not his fault for the property condition.

The only thing that was a positive was the AC. The room stank of smoke, the sheets had dirt stains and cigarette holes, the toilet seat was broken, there was blood and odd stains in the shower, and the floor has a layer of grime so thick that I could see the footprints of the last person that stayed there. I would not stay here again if you paid me.

The lady at check in was so nice but the property was in really bad shape. We did not get the non smoking king room we requested. The bedding had cigarette burns all over it and was clearly unwashed. When pulled back you could hear crumbs hitting the floor. The smell of smoke was soaked into everything. The sheets did look washed but very stained. The floor was very sticky and dirty. The bathroom wall had feces on it. The shower was very clean and air conditioner worked. You could see under and around the door. The room did not feel safe.

I got what I paid for which I admit was not much. The outside property had piles of trash and old mattresses laying out in front of the rooms not even at a dumpster. The room was dirty, the floor had not been cleaned and definitely had not been swept as we were met with leaves and dust bunnies as we entered the room. The tub was dirty and the refrigerator had dried on food on the inside door shelf. As far as decor, there was none not even one picture on the wall. The TV however did work. When this was told to the staff she responded by saying she would pass the information on and that the people who clean the rooms often say they cleaned them but really haven't. Prior complaints? In short, the property is old and the room was dirty and outdated.

The room smelled like urine, The smell came from the toilet where the seal on the bottom was broke That's where the smell was coming from. my husband cleaned the toilet, toilet paper dispenser falling out of the wall, we should have checked out when we smelled and seen the room. Bits of garbage in front of our door. We went to Walmart and bought stuff to get rid of the smell air fresheners and stuff to clean the toilet and mop floor and then there was some girl next day, first asked me if I had t-shirt and then a cigarette and then she wanted to come into the room and use the phone which didn't work. told her no, So then on a Saturday we get back to our room there's some girl not even staying there back to her vehicle in and was smoking pot out of it and the music playing rap music and it was vibrating our windows and when I went down to the front desk tol the lady that we were checking out and explain to her why she act like she could care less, That is a high class area with a low class motel in the center of it, I definitely would not suggest anybody staying there, low class with it riff rap running through it I hate to say it that way but it's the truth. No coffee maker no hair dryer no iron board and iron My son and his wife were supposed to stay there and when they showed up they canceled and went and found somewhere else He said Mama we don't do drugs so why are you staying here for.

Great location. Cheapest motel in town and everything was sold out. Check in was quick and receptionist was really nice. Room was worn out, beds were hard and tenants around property were sketchy. Did not feel very safe. Would not stay here again unless absolute desperate.

PROS: Convenient location - kind staff members - comfortable bed

CONS: If I had been a woman travelling alone, I would not have felt safe/secure. Property is in TERRIBLE CONDITION; My room had a door with a DAMAGED SECURITY LOCK, a bathroom with badly discolored fixtures and commode, and a mirror over the sink which was NOT ATTACHED TO THE WALL. The police were called and FOUR SQUAD CARS responded to a disturbance a few doors from my room.

FINAL THOUGHT: I have stayed at several Motel 6 locations over the past several years and this is BY FAR the worst. I credit the staff with being unfailingly kind. They are not to blame for the problems at this Motel 6.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We arrived and the lady working the counter stayed one of the two rooms had disappeared. So, they gave us another room and the key card didn't work. The issue ended up being the battery in the door key pad. The lady said it was dead. So, we asked if we could get into another room and they said we'd have to pay $157. At that point we were frustrated and tired because this was a long back and forth thing. The money was taken out before we got there, which wasn't an issue, but we expected a room. The door not working wasn't our problem so I still do not understand why they couldn't get us into another room. My husband and one of the other guys that was supposed to stay in the \"disappeared\" room had to sleep in the car because they would get us another room. The room was absolutely disgusting and smelled like smoke (we had a non smoking room). There were people walking around on drugs all night. We know that because my husband was up all night sleeping in our car. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room not very clean-I had to clean the tubs, sinks and floor. Nonsmoking but covers full of cigarette holes. Refrigerator didn’t work. Safety on door didn’t work. Staff at checkin very nice.

I reserved a non smoking room. Instead I got a room full of smoke. All of my clothes smelled like smoke. My clothes in my suitcase smelled like smoke. The bedding smelled like smoke. I walked on the floor with my white socks and when I took them off. They were black from not cleaning the floors. They were doing construction and had dust and debris in front and next to my door. Not a good place to stay.

I booked this room last minute through Expedia I get to the hotel and they told me there's no availabilities even though I've already booked the room online. I get a notification this morning that they try to charge my card the whole price for my two nights stay and we didn't even stay there because they had no availabilities? This is ridiculous. It's the second hotel I tried to book through Expedia that said they had availabilities, and when I got there they were all booked out. They couldn't even go through with my reservation because they were booked and still try to charge me.

Dude. I’ve been staying here for work every week and it’s awful every time. Despite having a nonsmoking room, it always stinks so badly or cigarette smoke, dirty room or something else nasty. The floors are downright disgusting. Cold water in room 103 so no shower. People who live there are shady. It’s filthy in every room minus the sheets (sometimes). It’s awful but the cheapest around unfortunately. I wouldn’t stay here if there were other places more affordable.

Sink and bathtub were dirty. Sink had tooth pasted left in it. There was an opened bar of soup on the shower shelf with the wrapper. Sink and tub drained very slow. Water was still in tub after an hour. Floor was so dirty the bottom of my child’s feet were black after a few minutes of running around after taking a bath. Stepped in dog feces in grass in court yard. Scooter was ripped apart in a parking spot. Room reeked of smoke. Cockroach was by the bathroom in the morning. I would have asked for another room but I had already brought our things in the room and I was alone with my two autistic boys. After traveling all day we needed to sleep and wasn’t about to ask for another room and have to move them and the luggage to who knows where if any rooms were even available and any cleaner. If one floor turned the bottom of my child’s feet black how clean are the other rooms. Probably all need a deep clean. There was a folded hand towel with a new packaged bar of soap on it and looked like cleaned towels in the bathroom. Beds were made with clean looking sheets. I have stayed in a few different motel 6 but this was the worst room ever. The two people at check in and check out were polite and friendly.

I do not like giving bad reviews. Staff was really nice, bed sheets and towels were clean we slept okay, but the room floor was completely filthy. We could not be barefoot, we had to keep our shoes on. There was a weird smell in there too. And yes as other reviews mentioned, this hotel is being frequented by questionable people. This made me lose respect for Motel 6s and will not stay in one again, even if I have to pay more.

The front desk staff was great, but unfortunately their cleaning staff was not. The NON-SMOKING room smelled like cigarettes!! The floor was sticky. Every surface was sticky. The sheets and comforters had BURN HOLES and STAINS all over them. Under one of the beds was a USED CONDOM, CIGARETTE BUTTS, USED TISSUES, DEAD BUGS, TRASH & DIRT!! It was absolutely DISGUSTING!!! I do want to thank the lady at the front desk on Thursday (11/06) morning because she was so understanding and appalled as well.

This going to be a very honest review.
The staff were amazing! We needed a couple of things and they were incredibly accommodating!
The room...not so much.
The bedding was clean, and we did do a bed bug check. But, we would do that anywhere.
It was fairly clean, but there was dirt on the bathroom floor, a disposable razor cover behind the bathroom door, and some sort of burnt paper between the toilet seat and back of the toilet.
The bed was kind of like a roll away frame (not on wheels), but it was comfortable enough for our needs of just a few hours while waiting for a flight.
It didn't feel unsafe, but my son was asked for a dollar by a guy, who was honest, that said he wanted to buy a beer. We also smelled a lot of \"garden\" smoke. LOL!
Basically, it was clean enough, and comfortable enough for a few hours of sleep. It was safe enough, but I wouldn't go there with kids. My son is 32 years old, and we are pretty good at just rolling with stuff.
If you don't smoke, just don't book a smoking room...it was all that was left. But, everything we wore while we were there smelled like an ash tray the rest of the weekend. LOL! The smoking rooms are basically like rolling around in an ash tray all night.
But, like I said, the staff is super kind, the beds are clean, no bugs, and it is comfortable enough for a one night stay if you just need to crash somewhere for a few hours.
Absolutely NOT a destination, haha.

I stayed here because I was only sleeping one night (for 7 hours) from 1am and leaving at 8am the next morning. This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever experienced. The second I walked in the door the small of smoke was overwhelming. The bathroom wasn't cleaned and smelled of urine, toilet was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The floor in the corners of the bathroom and around the toilet were caked with dirt and other things I don't care to think about. The walls in the room made it feel like a prison. The door had a sign on it: 'FOR YOUR PROTECTION when in the room engage the deadbolt and security latch'. Problem was - the security latch was broken off the door, the door had clearly been kicked in because the trim was ripped off and missing on the inside and dead bolt wouldn't work properly. Awful on every level, would never stay at any of these anywhere again.

The room was not as clean as it should be. There were flies flying around in the room my wife had to kill a few of them with a newspaper. The floor was sticky in some areas. The mattress was very hard wasn't very comfortable. The mattress wasn't as clean as it should be. It needed to be sanitized and vacuumed. The tub spigot wasn't fully attached to the wall. Water is going behind the enclosure. Not sure how that passed inspection. No light bulb in one of the wall scones by the bed. The security latch is missing from the door. The plastic on the refrigerator is torn needs to be removed. The vent on the HVAC unit needs to be cleaned and sanitized. Your office associate was very helpful. When asked for extra towels after the housekeeping was gone for the day he went and retrieve them for us.
