The hotel has a cool concept, and the renovations to the building were largely thoughtful. The rooms were ok, bathrooms were great. Overall was a 4 out of 5.

It’s in a historical landmark building so I get that it’s old. But the tile floors were pretty dingy looking. The corners in the rooms seemed to be overlooked when cleaned. Very convenient location to bars and restaurants. Staff was great.
Kimberly
The staff was very helpful with the issues that we had in our room. Rooms are clean and spacious. The restaurant was under construction.
Linda
Gorgeous hotel in a fantastic part of downtown Louisville. The art museum was really special. And all kinds of wonderful restaurants within walking distance.
Dana
Cool experience to stay in an old bank, I thought there would be more artwork. Room was clean, it was nice they had a cocktail bar.
Hunter
Great location. Fun decor. Rooms small but bathroom big… everything clean.
Dr. DeLayne
Friendlyband professional staff. Beautiful corner room with great city view. Clean spaces. It was fun to see the art on display. Coffee by the nespresso machine is a great ammenity. Bed was comfy. Pillows are firm. I love the set up of the space with the small sofa, table and chair. Spacious and functional.

The location of 21C Lexington is superb. It is super convenient to wonderful restaurants, bars and other amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the close proximity to the Sat. morning farmer's market during our stay and had a leisurely walk to a great restaurant (Corto Lima) for dinner. It is a slight disappointment that the hotel's restaurant/bar area was closed while were there. They do have a temporary bar set up in the lobby, but it is a poor stand-in for the normal offerings of a 21C establishment. The room was comfortable and well- appointed, but the A/C unit was very loud.
Korey
It was cool to have all the art in the lobby. The room was large and mostly clean -- but there was some gunk on the shower curtain and several areas needed dusting. But the service could have been more professional. I know it was slow - but several times when we were in the lobby the staff was just scrolling their phones. Three times when we walked in the door the two men at the doors (valets, I think) did not even look up from their phones. At check out no one asked about our stay -- they barely made eye contact as they took our keys and printed our receipt. There also was not much to do in the area. (Not the hotels fault -- but worth knowing if you are deciding if you should book a less expensive room that is not downtown)
Lauren
The hand soap and body wash in my bathroom were empty. There were two large stains on the carpets. The floors in the hallway were rather dirty and need replaced. The ceiling tiles in the hallway were gone. The exposed area was radiating a lot of heat and made the hallway rather hot. The restaurant was closed for renovations.
Valet parking was wonderful. The front desk staff was wonderful. The room was clean.

Gayle
Staff were friendly and efficient. Dinner at the bar was excellent and we had a great time conversing with the bartender.
DONALD
There was a water leak at the hotel, so my room was not available. They transferred me over to the Hilton.
Mike
Do not pay this price. It’s an average hotel with an average art museum. Stay across the street at residence in. Less money, better property. Visit the art museum for free if you want. Not impressive
Patricia
We enjoyed the breakfast menu as it wasn't the norm. Food was delicious.
Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom and walk-in shower.
Staff from the valet on up were polite and great to chat with.
Bar service was good, great selection.

The stay was nice, excellent location and friendly staff. The bathroom sink had a really slow drain and the stopper for the tub was not working properly. Additionally, our car keys were lost during valet service at the hotel, they were eventually found, but it was frustrating to worry about. I would stay again though cause location was perfect.
Shrief
Not good, room was filthy. Staff never changed towels
Scott
Clean and quiet room, nice breakfast and good downtown location for conference. Would recommend for a business stay
Carter Hays
The place was fully deprecated. Peeling paint, etc. staff very nice but understaffed. Waited 20 min for valet. Only 2 valets working and I think one was a substitute. Building needs a freshen up
jason

Beautiful
Danielle
The staff was wonderful and helpful. I am from out of town and had never been to Lexington and they were able to direct me easily. Parking is limited and the valet is a bit pricey at $30/day
Christophe
Helpful bar staff! Chris was a great bartender who was friendly and knowledgeable about bourbon.
George
Pretty good hotel. Not great.

Room clean, nice view, walkable area, museum was a cool feature
Brock
This hotel was great! The location is right in the center of the downtown area. They also use phenomenal products in their showers. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner was some of the best I have ever used in a hotel. The valet service was great as well as the front desk staff! 10/10 would recommend to anyone heading to Lexington.
Wayne

Got to the room and it was dirty, ie: long hair all over the shirt, stained wash cloths etc.. mattress was bad and seemed old. You could feel the base When laying in it and was nosey like it was covered in a vinyl bag. Every time you move, you felt and sounded like you were inside of a paper bag. Front desk seemed annoyed when I asked to have new wash cloths changed out and the shower cleaned. Normally I don’t complain, but when I pay almost $500 for a week, I expected to at least be uncomfortable. Definitely not what normal 21C hotels are like.
Aubrey
The rooms are nice. Location is great! We have stayed at many different hotels in Lexington. This one is one of my favorites. It’s quiet at night (I think Lexington can be a little loud with cars at night) but these rooms are very quiet. The art exhibit is great bonus and fun to explore. Would highly recommend
Kayla
Very friendly staff. I felt so welcomed and cared for. Bedroom was very comfortable and great sizes. The bathroom has marble walls and floor and very spacious. It was a nice experience.
Laurie
This hotel is in a great location, walkable to UK, restaurants, shops. The room was very clean, the bathroom is huge. I loved having the robes. Overall great experience, we will definitely stay again. The bar/lounge area looked lovely, unfortunately we didn’t have the time to enjoy a drink there but it had a nice vibe.
Rebecca
Gorgeous views, very friendly staff, lunch was great!
Galen
Provided non down pillows. Got us in early. Very accommodating.
Alisha
Everything was wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful, The rooms are very clean and updated, it's also in the perfect location. We walked to everywhere we went downtown!
Cory
To say this room was underwhelming is an understatement. Very very small room, very plain, furniture had scratches dents and dings all over it and just a disappointing hotel. Did not meet expectations due to price and location whatsoever
James Ross
Clean room. Great staff. Restaurant was delicious.
Steven
Staff was very nice and helpful

Room ok. Coffee maker did not work and when I called they never sent anyone to fix, For a high end hotel extremely disappointing. Won’t ever stay there again.
Michael
The room was large, the staff were helpful, the hotel was well located.

I always enjoy 21c one of my favorites. Staff was great

Great hotel in great location. Clean, modern, and artsy. Room was very comfortable and the shower was great, which is big for me. It had good water pressure with hot water. Check in and out was quick and easy.

Tried canceling this a handful of times website crashes every time. Convenient for you guys
Jonathan
No parking. The fridge had mold in it and it took 4 attempts an email and a text to get it cleaned. Not to mention I was charged $100 a day for a security deposit and have yet to get it back.
Gina
We got back late 1am room was cold, but I thought it was because curtains were open and we were on top floor. Went to bed and woke cold had to get blanket and robe on to sleep. No heat just air blowing. Called front desk and told them. They comped valet parking. Front desk courteous, but paid a lot of money for a cold room on a cold night
Randy
The hotel needs a thorough cleaning and more attention paid to the rooms. The elevator was grimy, the carpets in the room were dirty, the bathroom had only one bath towel, no items in the mini-bar, and the coffee maker (just as important as the bed) didn't work. When I mentioned the coffee maker to the front desk, the response was \"there's a coffee shop across the street.\" Checkout was 11, yet a housekeeper barged into the room at 9:30 wanting to clean it. There are plenty of places to stay in Lexington. The 21c needs to
Robert
Only one person checking you in for valet without an easy ability to get into the hotel from Main Street is pathetic. The hotel is rundown and is a 2 1/2 star hotel. If I own this place, I would be worried sick.
David
Clean, comfortable room however, bathroom door was dirty where guests place hands to close it.
Artwork in lobby was overly WOKE. Underlying message was not appreciated.

Great hotel and location.
Danny
Very courteous and helpful staff
Trina
Too loud outside! From inside of the rooms you could hear everything! I wouldn’t invest in some better windows
Claudia
It was fine but the fact that the bar was closed at 10:30!when we and 1/2 the hotel had attended a concert and were looking forward to having a after dinner drink really sucked… would not stay there again… kind of a fake hotel , nice room but you don’t really feel like it was worth the$500 per night cost!!!
Caroline
Room was huge. Bed was comfortable. Great stay. We will be back.
Julie
Neat hotel

Isabelle at the Front desk was amazing!
She helped me welcome my brother Ned and S-I-L Cindy. She made both of them very welcome and special. This was a gift for their anniversary and birthday weekend getaway.

I thought the staff was nice. They were attentive. The hotel was quirky and fun, just needed to have a more detailed cleaning. There was trash in the corner of our room, and just had an overall feeling that it needed a deep clean. I'm glad we stayed there as it was a quick and easy walk to the opera house.
Patsy
Nice hotel. Comfy room. We booked because of the art!
Richard
The room was fine.
George
Room had drapes that had rips in several of them. Carpet was stained in multiple places. Furniture had wear and tear. Overall the hotel felt low budget but at a high price.
Michael
The Lockbox was good for breakfast one day and dinner another. Location is good. Can walk to many bars and restaurants downtown. Hotel is just average in regards to the room. Lots of street noise until probably 3am and we were on the 11th floor.
James
The room was immaculate. My only issue was the common bathroom in the lobby. It was terribly maintained and had feces on the toilet and toilet paper all over the floor. We met friends for brunch at the LockBox, and I was embarrassed at the condition of the restroom after commenting to my friends about the high end nature of the hotel. Also, if requiring an 11 AM checkout, there should be a secure area to leave bags, not just sitting them on the floor next to the desk clerk. I was very uncomfortable leaving my bags in the exposed area where anyone could have easily walked by and taken them without the desk clerk being aware.
Steven
Walked from property on arrival, no advance warning, hotel does not care about guests
Jennifer
The worst front desk staff ever. The girls were on their phones the whole time. We Told them the restrooms did not have toilet paper and they ignored us. All of the garbage cans were overflowing in bathroom and by front desk. The entrance was dirty and trash and hair balls were floating around the floor. We paid $900 a night for a filthy hotel. We told them about the hair balls in the front lobby and they ignored us. I had to ask for my breakfast vouchers 4 times and the front desk lady said I looked for you but my contacts must have dried out. The Vouchers should have been given to us at check in. We had to get our own silverware for breakfast. We got our food but had no silverware. The coffee maker was broken in our room and the bed was hard. There was No TV to Watch the UK game at the bar. The Bar shut down at 10:30 on Saturday Game Night and a ton of people still wanted to get a drink. This is just a shame that this hotel has gone so downhill. Maybe they have new management. The 21c used to be know for being a super nice hotel. Now it is dirty hotel with bad service. What a shame.
Shannon
Front desk staff was kind and professional. Great location to explore Lexington & visit son at UK.
Shelly
The overall vibe of the hotel was awesome. The bar was great and the hotel staff were helpful.
Gretchen
The bathroom was honestly pretty bad - not clean. Hair in corners on the floor and dirty grout lines everywhere. The toilet never wanted to flush. I expected more for the >$500/night price point in Lexington KY. The room itself was a little dirty as well. The check in staff member was unable to provide any recommendations for us dining/drinks within reasonable walking distance. I will not recommend or stay here again.
Rick
Really nice remodel of an old bank building, large modern room, nice art gallery

Southern hospitality lives!
Tasha
Beautiful place to stay and close to restaurants in the area.
Dana
We had a corner room with great views. It eas large and comfortable. Loved the sofa for reading. We loved the art. We had three meals at the Lockbox.
Patrice
It was an amazing property. We did have a little bit of a struggle, finding it as we never saw the name of the hotel and had to drive around a bit.
Alex
Amazing staff and beautiful hotel

Very clean hotel, no valet on Sunday but parking was easy. Enjoyed the art and the boutique hotel.

Just ok
We have stayed at another 21C Museum Hotel and had a wonderful experience, but this one was just ok. Pros: Good service at check in and the gallery was excellent. Cons: room was freezing, heat kicked on if you tried to turn the air up from 68. When we pulled up so my husband could drop me off, I let the valet attendant know we would be self parking and he just rudely walked off. The bathroom had mildew and frayed towels. Beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. Not their fault, but downtown LEX is crazy loud at night. It didn’t quiet down until 3 am. We won’t make that mistake again.

Lovely hotel and beautiful art/cocktails/info provided
However the air con was so cold even though set to 19.5
We couldn’t get it right
And the cleaning wasn’t up to a scratch
We loved the bar area and the bar man was so friendly
An overall good stay

The hotel had a unique art collection, staff was friendly and helpful, restaurant convenient and great bar. Also very clean and room spacious.

Wonderful hotel that used to be an old bank. Amazing room and amenities. Would definitely stay again.

Blue penguin paradise
These folks went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. When they found out it was my birthday, they even sent up champagne! The bathroom was so big you could dance in it. Love the blue penguins stationed like hall monitors!
