Front desk staff very helpful cleaning staff not soo helpful didnt speak english... room was ok (talking about the beds) just dirty, filthy, room wasnt vacuumed bathroom floor was dirty like not swept , we had spiderwebs , toilet was not working, ceiling was leaking. Breakfast was ok and kitchen was clean but over all the whole hotel was filthy WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!

Cons: PARKING IS NOT FREE. Massive disappointment because it's not like you got any choice, and the website does not state that you'll have to pay for it (so add another $40 to your bill). Water in sink wouldn't drain, the tv controller did not work, escalators smelled like urine, evident damage to walls, and my sheets were kinda dirty (I'm almost sure they didn't bother changing them).

Pros: I'm gone and don't have to deal with it anymore.

property is run down, parking is horrible. The room was dirty. The tv had a black line right in the middle making it hard to see. There was bugs on the crawling on the wall. The shower was dirty and the water pressure was horrible. Staff was nice. The room was the dirtiest I've ever been in! I travel a lot and this was definitely on par with a condemned roadside motel. The fact that there was a turd left in the toilet and no toilet paper to welcome us, gives the impression it was never cleaned. The bathroom door was literally delaminating, peeling apart from the top down. The corners of the carpeted room have NEVER been cleaned or vacuumed. Cob webs and pile of dust in every one. Room 413, stay away! We got it for $100 a night and now I know why. Absolutely pathetic to have La Quinta's name on this property! Clean your dang rooms and maybe the toilet daily!

Parking at the hotel was $75 a night. Had to walk a block to a parking garage, which i paid $20 a night. The ice machine downstairs next to the breakfast lounge was disgusting and dirty. I wouldn't dare get any ice from that nasty machine. Also, one of the elevators was broken. I will never go to this hotel again. This is the worse La Quinta!!!

This is worst La Quinta I've ever stayed in. It might be the worst hotel I've stayed in. It should be in a 3rd world country. Let me list the issues.
1. They only give you towels or change the sheets every 3 days
2. Half of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work
3. There was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom
4. The carpet was pulling away from the floor in 1 corner
5. No kleneex and very little toilet paper
6. They charge $45 per night to park your car
The cleaning ladies were very cordial as was the front desk staff, but it is clear that management is less concerned with cleanliness and service thn with trying to gouge you for every $.

This has genuinely been the worst experience I have ever had with a business in my life. I never leave reviews, but this hotel has been so horrible that I feel compelled to warn others to NOT EVER book here. To begin, the rooms in this hotel are a biohazard. There were finger nails on the floor, garbage on the table, urine left in the toilet, holes in the wall, hair in the shower, hair in the sheets, and stains EVERYWHERE. I mean everywhere. I wouldn’t even set my bags down in this hotel room. I went down to the hotel desk and very kindly explained the conditions and asked for a refund so my friend and I can stay elsewhere. She immediately agreed to the refund and sent us an email confirming the refund. She directed us to contact Expedia for the refund since we booked through them. Upon calling Expedia after our flight home, they informed us that we need the name of the employee or manager for the refund. I have spent 3 hours on the phone trying to get ahold of this location over the course of more than a week. I have called the front desk directly, sent emails to their specific email address, and spoke with multiple representatives with the larger hotel chain, none of which could get in contact with this location or provide me a name. No money was refunded.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever been at. The only redeemable thing about it was the staff. Fridge had mold and didn’t work, microwave was gross, paid for “valet parking” but had to still park my truck myself, the parking spaces were too small for even a car. I bought a deluxe hotel and the pictures show a large area with a couch but the only upgrade was the fridge, which didn’t work, and the microwave, which was disgusting. WiFi never worked. The drawers in the room were falling apart. The staff was nice at least. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I was charged $53.00 for parking in the parking lot of the hotel no valet was used for my car whatsoever. But I was told I couldn’t park in lot without getting a tag from valet crew or car would be towed. And then when my guest and I got to the room it was dirty the light fixtures and head boards full of dust curtain ripped and torn ac was sitting on top of bricks. Bed sheets were washed but all stained with what looked like blood and there were red splats on bathroom door which looked like blood. There were no towels in room asked front desk and they were suppose to be getting sent to room NEVER HAPPENED! Stairways to get to rooms stuck like urine and had trash all on floor ways. 2 lights didn’t work in the room. No ice machine as listed. Bathtub was peeling and dirty was just an awful stay. But since I had already booked and paid for the room for a trip out of town I had to stay in the room as all other rooms in surrounding hotels were booked fully and I had to but my own towels.

These hotels were usually ok to stay for us in the past, so we booked La Quinta this time. But we were very disappointed. First, the parking was not available at the hotel, was already occupied. Second, our room was not even vacuumed, it was simply dirty. Third, so called refrigerator was not cold at all. Fourth, the price was still very high. We decided not even go for a breakfast next morning doubting in cleanliness of this hotel. Terrible.

Let’s see. Room was dirty, rug not vacuumed, hair dryers (2) did not work, mold in the shower, leaky faucet in shower, thin (almost like a sheet) blanket, one of the two elevators would shake and rattle as it got to the fourth floor. The ceiling had popcorn - that’s not the issue - there was a 2’ x 3’ triangle shape missing from it. Spent one night. Didn’t try the breakfast because we didn’t trust it. I’ve stayed at La Quinta hotels before. While they are not 4 stars, they were at least clean and functional. Wyndham should be embarrassed to include this place in its system.

The condition of the hotel was very run down. There was no fridge, or microwave provided in the room, and the “valet” parking was not helpful for $100. The lights in the room were not working, only 3 lights were working, and the restroom shower was in terrible condition. Old outdated hotel, elevator was extremely unsafe and shaking. Some room amenities did not work. There was an odor of what I could best describe as pesticides in my room. The room was tidy and appeared clean but it was so off putting getting to the room I was skeptical. Lights in bathroom did not work and AC didn’t want to function properly. Immediately checked out and cancelled. The staff wasn’t bad but whoever owns this place should be ASHAMED. Do better - this is literally feet away from the state capitol building, it’s horrid.

In this instance, I would not recommend this property because of the overall condition of the oroperty. It is run down and was not cleaned properly. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff looked annoyed and weren’t helpful when I brought up the how dirty my room was. I found a finger nail between the covers which were also stained. The room smelled like someone smoked in it. It was obvious the side tables weren’t wiped down as well as any counter space. The floor had obvious crumbs and small pieces of trash and the corners were filthy with dirt and grime. The elevator was disgusting. I get it’s not a “fancy hotel but cheap or affordable or outdated shouldn’t mean dirty.

I’m sharing feedback following my recent stay.

The overall upkeep of the property was very poor and below expectations for my first visit. The room showed clear signs of neglect and lacked proper maintenance.

Additionally, my checkout experience was disappointing. I attempted to check out early without my key and was told I couldn’t because staff needed to inspect the room to ensure no one was inside. The policy and how it was communicated felt unreasonable and unprofessional.

Overall, the condition of the hotel and the customer service left a negative impression.

I found myself at the La Quinta downtown Constitutionally driven to be close to the State Capitol of Texas!!

During the No Kings protests the alien protestors were protesting in peace!! That is a reflection of the Great State of Texas and our Beautiful State Constitution and Citizens!!!

The La Quinta has a little dapper look however the amenities are A+. I was quite impressed with the breakfast the hotel has prepared every morning. The coffee is on point in the lobby all day long!!

If you have business at the Capitol and the surrounding government buildings, considering you like to save a penny, the La Quinta location is the spot!!

Apparently it is subsidized by the city and on the weekend it is $45 PER NIGHT. That is an insane surprise rate to pay and there is no free parking anywhere close by to make up for it.

Overall the property is dirty. The elevator feels like it will break any second. The staff with the exception of the breakfast staff were unresponsive. I asked the desk 3 times in 4 days to fix the light in the bathroom, it’s still dark in there.
It needs a complete renovation and new staff.

Elevators were stopping between floors and making a loud noise noises. Mould in the rooms. Most surfaces as you enter the building and in the lobby, where either so badly aged that they were deteriorating or it was a bit damaged. The valet area and the entry to the lobby are very dated. The security doors on the fourth floor are not working so anyone can walk in and out and it is relatively unsafe. The room conditions, including the bathrooms and the state of the actual walls and floors and fundamental basics are all either old or dilapidated. The staff are nice.

First was given a room unmade (trashed with lipstick kisses on mirror), our room didnt match images on booking site (no microwave and fridge), room smelled upon arrival, elevator scared us and shook dramatically every time it came to the 4th floor, extremely high parking fee of $36 (not mentioned during booking), grafeti inside elebator and elebstor floor was vroken and the door doesnt close by itself. The whole building seems to be falling apart. A truly awful experience I will never go again. It was worse than a horrible movie, I didnt know anything so awful was in Austin.

First off, all of the employees were great and tried their best; they are just in a sucky situation. Check that your room is properly clean as soon as you get there. The condition of the room and the building was terrible. The bathroom light was out, and the toilet was clogged when we arrived. Maintenance came and fixed these issues, but there were more. The bathtub leaked, and the shower had poor, inconsistent water pressure. There was no hairdryer in our room, and when I asked, I was told I was simply out of luck. No minifridge either. Blankets were very thin, and we couldn't get more. The room was literally falling apart as well; the closet door was hanging off, and the front of the bedside cabinet fell off at the lightest touch. We ended up checking out early and moving to another hotel. Only stay here if your only other option is your car, and then consider just sleeping in your car.

The room was a bit run down. A couple of the towels had stains on them, the nightstand lights weren’t working. When I requested housekeeping at a later time, it wasn’t available. To wrap it all up, there was criminal activity back-to-back times in the first two nights, which made it feel unsafe. Not to mention, accounts of this hotel being a site infidelity cases. Overall, a below average experience to which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone who plans to visit Austin.

I have stayed at La Quinta hotels for at least 20 years whenever I travel. This singular hitel has ruined the whole relationship for me. Unspeakable stains on the sheets and when we asked for clean ones, we got the run around and begrudgingly got clean ones. I was late for my event and couldn't move to another hotel in time,but I can't unsee the hideous things I saw. Never again. Save yourself and pay extra for a cleaner place.

Checked in and given a room where someone already occupied. Given 2nd room where do not disturb sign on. Told no more rooms and would refund money. Then front desk found a room unoccupied. When entering the room…smelled moldy. Terrible stains on the floor, and bathroom was moldy. In the bathroom, flirting was soaking wet and covered with many wet dirty towels so could not even enter or use bathroom. Had reservations direct through Wyndham for multiple days, and canceled, and left after the one night. Worst hotel ever. Should be condemned and demolished. I would like a full refund. Thank you.

Was told the night before that I could leave my bag in the store room for a couple of hours but on the checkout the other porter told me no, there was no space for my back pack! So I had to leave with my bag around Austin!

Awful! The worst hotel ever! The carpet was filthy and with stains everywhere. The tub was broken unable to take a shower. We had to ask for a refund and to rent another hotel. We could not stay in that place. It should be closed.

First room I got the toilet did not flush properly, the a/c would not cool leaving the room at 78, and the fridge did not work. The second room floor was dirty left the bottom of our feet black, light in the bathroom was literally a wire with a bulb hanging from the ceiling as if the room was not finished being renovated. The light by the bed was hanging from wall and missing lamp shade and the door would not close without a considerable amount of effort. Property is definitely dated which wouldn’t be a big deal but it’s also poorly maintained. Kind of falling apart. Staff was kind and helpful and promptly switched rooms for us when notified. Location is great! Like many ppl said in other reviews I thought that for the price and location that it would be ok if the rooms were dated and the had minimal upgrades but I was wrong. The condition of this hotel is really unacceptable. Maybe the rooms I had weren’t the best they had but they definitely need to do repairs and renovations.

TLDR. Rooms are very dated and poorly maintained. Basically falling apart. A/c issues, toilet issues, dirty, fridge not working, and in state of disarray.
Staff is kind and helpful
Great location and great price.
You have to pay for parking like 45$

Room was older, TV had no volume, pillows cases were discolored and pillows were old. The location was perfect to where we were going so that was great.
