I booked two rooms at Golden Tulip, but unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. In one of the rooms, the door card scanner was broken — although it was still functioning, it was clearly damaged. The other room had a very unhygienic toilet; when I used it in the morning, water overflowed after flushing, which was extremely unpleasant and unsanitary. Additionally, the bedsheet in the second room was torn, the shelf was unstable, and the water kettles in both rooms were dirty and had not been properly cleaned.
Overall, the quality, hygiene, and maintenance of the hotel were far below expectations.
I have pictures available for proof if needed. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a karate tournament. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the railway station, which made travel easy. The hotel and rooms were very modern and clean, Ed’s were a little hard, but we slep well. The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially with booking taxis for our group of 10 to and from the tournament and back to the airport. Good selection of breakfast items and omelettes made to order. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was very nice. Staff ensured we could all sit together. A very relaxing and pleasant stay.
We would definitely stay here again when visiting this area.

Stayed two nights while travelling from Scotland for a gig at De Boederij. Lovely hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Good food too. Room was an apartment with a balcony - well worth just 15 euros or so extra. The hotel is right next door to Driemanspolder tram stop and Zoetermeer rail station, which makes getting around super easy. Highly recommended

The bummer for me was the toilet in the bathroom, it was sitting in an area like in an airplane. As a person from 6\"2 or more you will be jammed between the toilet and the wall. For a well-organized hotel was this my downside or must I say NO, NO.

We needed a family room and this hotel was able to provide a self contained apartment attached to the hotel . This was excellent. The hotel staff were fantastic and went well and truly above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel as a great venue for anyone visiting The Hague who doesn't need to be in the centre (which you can reach in 20 mins by tram)

Nice hotel, with very friendly staff. Got up to no water in the hotel. No shower, no toilet, no coffee. Asked for a refund in consideration of their failure to deliver the basic staple. Of course it was denied. They made all their money and I went to a very important meeting, unwashed. NOT impressed.

Good location

When we went to register they did not have us registered. I showed them our papers from Expedia and they said you did not register us with them and that they were full.
They were going to send us to Leiden, but we did not want to be that far away from Zoetermeer. We persisted so they booked us in and said they would hope for a cancellation.
The room we had was clean, but we were in the older part and the carpet had stains and so did the kitchenette floor which made it look a bit shabby.
Other than that the stafff was very helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable but rather small, the sitting corner next to the window would have been a great addition if it had a view over a green area as in the official picture and not to a seemingly abandoned house next to the highway as it turned out to be the case. As the surroundings of the hotel consist of a motorway and a railway station, a richer selection of tv channels might be helpful to pass one's time.

I stayed in the Golden Tulip Zoetermeer for 2 nights whilst on business in Waddinxveen. The hotel was a short drive and neatly tucked away in a quiet corner slightly away from the motorway. Very good free wifi and a nice bar with friendly staff everywhere in the hotel. Breakfast was good too, with eggs cooked to order in any way.

Don't be fooled by pictures

Booked this hotel because this pictures on Hotels.com looks modern and beautiful. This was NOT the case. For starters - we paid for the hotel in full with Hotels.com and then were told at check in that we had to pay in full again...this is something that we still have to resolve. We knew from the appearance of the hallway and door to the room we were in for a surprise...and not a good one. The room is large but extremely outdated. The toilet isn't in the bathroom but around in a separate room by the door...? The shower is not practical. The shower head is mounted on a completely nonsensical wall - it is mounted so the sprays the short length of the tub (not the long way like a 'normal' shower. This made no sense and made for a completely awkward shower.
The carpet looks stained and dirty.
The bathroom and fixtures throughout the room scream 80's.
The quality of the pull out couch bed was awful - you could feel every frame on your back.
This was defiantly not what we expected when booked this hotel and I would NOT book this again. This is maybe a 2 star hotel. MAYBE! If they have nice rooms at this hotel they didn't give us one. Not sure how this hotel was given such great ratings.

lovely Hotel

Was a bit dubious about booking this hotel after seeing the reviews but we had no problems. The kitchen facilities in the room were very good. Could have done with an oven but had a hob and microwave so we managed. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. Would recommend anyone to stay there. If we are in Zoetermeer again would definitely stay at the Golden Tulip.

One day stay after a day in Amsterdam. Location is a bit hidden, but outdoor shopping mall is near by with a few places to eat. The room was basic. Old television, the thermostats did not work. Beds were comfortable and shower had great hot water. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Overall, it was an average hotel and we booked based on the price ($85 US dollars).

The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and efficient. This appears to be a business hotel and is a bit quiet at the weekends although unlike previous visits the restaurant was open in the Friday and Saturday evenings. The hotel is very handy for the main line railway station and the Randstad light railway.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Zoetermeer area.

Expensive, dirty hallway carpets, strong urine smell in the toilet. Very dark and gloomy with no window \"Master\" bedroom!! The only good point in our suit was big sitting area and big kitchen which we didn't need it at all!!! If you want to go and stay there for a week or so and you want to cook your own food and you don't mind about just \"one\" smelly toilet, maybe is good and works for few people. Big area for few people, just \"one\" toilet!!!! But you may need to ask for more beds and sheets. Anyway not recommended at all.
