If it wasnt for the regular bus and tran services thus hotel would be noehere near places of interest, be very careful 8f you book and oay though a service agent like expedia, alyhough i paid in full for my stay when booking the hotel debited my card again for my stay, i only noticed because i checked my bank balance, was not happy. But luckily i hadnt fhecked out and was able to demand a refund. Liked Zoetermeer wouldnt stay at the Bastion again though.

The hotel was perfect for a one night stop for me on a business visit to the Netherlands. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was very nice. Somebody made me a fresh omelette right there for breakfast, right in front of me 😀 There is a rail track that runs at the back of the hotel with regular electric trains, but that wasn’t a problem for me.

The room was dirty i found dirty socks on the chair, there was lits from bottles in the shower. The person who ‘cleaned’ this room obviously didn’t care. The room was next to entrance of the floor, so slamming of door all the time and people talking loud in the hall. The parking lot was full of empty bottles and food wraps. When i came back one night there was 1 parking spot left all the way in the back, there were group off people hanging there drinking and smoking. That late at night gave me an unsafe feeling. All

The hotel was some way out of town, but walkable from the nearest station which connects with the tramway. Would be more convenient if arriving by car. Impressive lobby and friendly staff. I was allowed into my room despite arriving at 12.30 when check in doesn't officially start until 14.00. Very comfortable room with nice bathroom. Disappointed that there wasn't a kettle, but not the end of the world. There is very little choice of hotels in Zoetermeer, but this seems to be the cheapest (possibly due to the distance from town). I would certainly consider this one if in the area again.

Ok hotel for what it is...
The Bastion is outside of the Hague in Zoetermeer. The only thing next to it is a McDonalds and some office buildings. If you don't have a car, you can take the train to Zoetermeer Oost, but from there it is a 1/2 mile (1000 M) walk to the hotel. All day, the parking lot is empty. Every night, it is full of commercial trucks. So...this is a great place for commercial truckers to stop, but not very convenient for business travelers. That being said, the staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful at all times.

Reached hotel a little before noon. Asked to check in and before we could even finish our sentences we were told check in is at 2 and we should come back then. I asked that we had requested an early check in if possible but got told the exactly the same thing. Eventually just bothered to look at the reservation and there were rooms available.
Rooms are small, the sink and shower are tiny and the room floor incredibly dusty and dirty. We were there for 2 nights and after the first night they made up one bed and sort of just left the other, towels were just hung back wet and not replaced the TV did not work.

Good Stay at the Bastion
Not much around in the neighborhood but it is right of the freeway and near Zoetermeer-Oost station. Need a car to explore Zoetermeer and surrounding area. We were visiting family. We stayed in a deluxe room. Recommended! Room 126 had a huge bathroom. Would stay here again. Cheaper then the other choices for the area.

The bed was the worst I have slept and the twin single beds keeps pulling apart and our nights weren't good sleeping on them and NO bath. The shower was very tight. On the positive, the hotel is clean.

Nothing special, has the minimum standard
It was a short notice booking and the hotels that I would have preferred were completely booked out, so I was happy that there was a hotel available. The room is rather small, but it does have all the basic necessities that you need for a place to stay. It is literally right next to a train line and a major motorway, so don't expect some beautiful views, but the double glazed windows did the job so there is no concern about noise. Only complaints was that the shower hose was damaged from frequent use and affected the flow of water, the light near the very small cupboard didn't work (and apparently could only be replaced by some \"professional\" who visits once per week), a few lights in the outside hallway didn't work, and the WiFi didn't work for about 12 hours. Nothing major obviously, but made the stay a little less comfortable.

Hotel is not far of the motorway, easy to find and offers free parking. Given that we don't know Holland or speak the language staff were extremely patient and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well.

It is probably one of the worst hotels that I have stayed at. The hotel is dated, the rooms look like you are in the 70's and the beds are very old and very uncomfortable. On the day that we were leaving, the cleaner started banging on the door and when I opened it she just walked away as she got the wrong room without even apologising! Don's waste your money, go somewhere else.

Hôtel très sympas. Notre chambre était calme, aucun bruit de transport. En revanche on a entendu le bruit de la douche des voisins du dessus. Literie très confortable. L'eau est bien chaude. Le petit frigo est un vrai plus. La salle de bain etait très propre, quasiment pas de calcaire.

Hotel facilmente raggiungibile, con ampio parcheggio interno (compreso nel prezzo). Personalmente mi aspettavo più confort per il prezzo pagato:

TEMPERATURA: dopo un po' che è acceso si riscalda, ma appena si arriva era freschetto e anche solo cambiarsi era una sofferenza, per lo meno per me che sono freddolosa. Dal momento che il riscaldamento è solo in stanza, il bagno resta fresco e fare la doccia...altra sofferenza. Come già detto da qualcuno, il lavandino è così piccolo che è difficile non bagnare fuori lavandosi i denti o la faccia.

Non tornerei, perchè a quel punto o andrei in un hotel più economico (scomodità+risparmio) o in uno più costoso più confortevole.

Broken tap, door lock and poor noise cancellation
My tap was not attached to the sink properly, second lock in a door didn't work properly so I didn't feel safe. Moreover, train is going next to the hotel which means a lot of noise because noice cancellation is so poor. Room was really cold, AC was set to 18. Didn't help to turn it of, it was still cold whole night. Do not recommend this hotel.
