Van der Valk Hotel Rotterdam Nieuwerkerk is located in the centre of the green heart of Holland. The hotel has spacious, luxurious rooms.

Within a 15-minute drive you will be in the city centre. Our comfort rooms will be renovated starting in January.
This renovation will certainly involve some nuisance or inconvenience, but we are trying to limit these as much as possible. There will be work mainly from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon, so at these times there will be the most construction disturbance.
There will be no work on Saturdays and Sundays, so noise disturbance will be minimal.

Was given a ground floor room, where two ‘walls’ were all completely glazed, with sliding opening, overlooking a river directly outside, with a beautiful view all round.

The hotel is a lovely place to stay. The beds are very comfortable and a good size bathroom. I had a meal with relatives on the evening of my stay and found the service extremely slow although the food was good.
I stayed in room 305 and I reported a very serious trip hazard to the reception staff on check out. There is a step from the bedroom into the bathroom which I tripped over on arrival. The carpet in the bedroom is dark and the tiles on the step are dark so you can't see it plus you don't expect the bathroom and bedroom areas to be on 2 different levels. I was lucky as I was wearing shoes and have good balance which saved me from serious injury. This needs to be addressed before there is a very serious accident. I have added a photo so you can see how dangerous this is.

I like this hotel enough to have stayed here a few times, and will continue to do so. Essentially it is well positioned for the business I have to do in the Rotterdam area, it is a clean place, well kept, with very friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant food is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and perfectly suited to my needs. The only negative from my perspective is very simple; the spinning bikes in the gym need to be replaced. Digital readouts don't work. This must be known by the management and if they were replaced then I would say that the hotel is perfect for me in all respects.

1 night turned into 4. Van Der Valk was a familiar name from childhood in Holland so we returned and what a great choice!

However, the bedside stands? were stained and there were so many mosquitos in the room we were bitten numerous times and spent time hunting them down. Need some kind of repellent in the room. The hotel was very good value, and is an excellent place to stay if you do not need to stay in Rotterdam. The restaurant was particularly good, both for breakfast and evening meal, when we were served quickly even though the restaurant was pretty full.
Just one warning, and this relates to road conditions in general around the major cities in the Netherlands. We travelled from Harwich to Hoek van Holland with our car and found the (Monday, in our case) evening traffic dreadful as we approached Rotterdam. The queues lasted all the way to the motorway exit for the hotel. Look on the map; it's quite a distance. I am sure the problem would have been the same had we booked a hotel in Rotterdam city centre.

The service and polish of the hotel is excellent The restaurant in terms of the dining experience, service and menu are excellent. We booked for two nights,the room was spotless and the bathroom also. We had a meal in the resturant on the second night and I can happily say it was one on the best meals my wife and I have ever had. The selection of wine and beer was excellent,but what topped it all was the service. The staff were the best ever a real credit to the hotel,they were helpful,very well mannered,very very attentertive.

Balkontür fest verschlossen, also keine Frischluft möglich. Unendlich viele zerquetschte Insekten auf dem Sonnenschutz, Kühlschrank nicht gefüllt, nicht einmal eine Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Trotz Deluxe-Doppelzimmers nur winziger Arbeitsplatz und auch nur winziger Bistrotisch im Raum. Immerhin 2 Sessel und großzügige Raumgröße. Schlechte Beleuchtung, auch im Bad - rasieren schwierig. Vollkommen unüberlegte Kabelführung des Bügeleisens, bügeln war damit quasi nicht möglich. Wenig Auswahl beim Frühstück und unmotiviertes Personal. Bunkercharme auf den Gängen. Auf die beim Checkout routinemäßig gestellte Frage nach der Qualität meines Aufenthaltes wurde die Antwort gar nicht erst abgewartet, sodass ich meine Kritik vor Ort gar nicht erst anbringen konnte. Positiv: kostenlose Parkplätze und viele Ladesäulen für E-Autos.

Receptionen ekstrem useriøst, uvenlig - bad om kvittering på betaling flere gange og fik en proforma, aldrig en regning. Receptionen trænger til kunde service kursu..s og restauranten følte jeg også at man var ikke velkommen, vi kørte i byen og spiste. fin morgenmad, men dyr 27 euro, ikke det værd - vil ikke bruge denne mere

Mooi, net en ruim hotel. Personeel (zowel bij receptie als bij de bar) was niet erg verwelkomend, ze leken er weinig zin in te hebben. Niet direct wat je mag verwachten van een 4-sterren hotel. Bagagekar was niet beschikbaar en er werd verder geen moeite gedaan terwijl wij veel koffers bij ons hadden. Het verblijf zelf was top.

Drank apparaat werkte niet als je een fles water of cola wilde kopen. Daarnaast was de afvoer van de badkamer gedeeltelijk verstopt waardoor het douchen niet prettig was. De afstandbediening van de TV werkte niet naar wens en de deksel van de afstand bediening viel eraf. Ik ben dit niet gewend van een vd Valk hotel waar kwaliteit hoog staat aangeschreven
