The room was dark and outdated. The fixtures in the bathroom (toilet paper holder and stability bars) had rust all over them. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling off the walls. There was no inner liner for the shower curtain. The towels were dingy grayish-brown and most of the towels were stained!

Room was not very clean, there was trash from a previous tenant, walls and doors were filthy, two lights didn't work, the TV signal kept getting lost, and there were guests running and screaming back and forth through the hall u til midnight and management didn't do anything about it. I definitely wouldn't comw back to this location just due to the lack of cleanliness this hotel had.

Building has recurring environmental problems which the City of Lubbock Health Department has been investigating. This is public record. I experienced sudden lung issues upon entering lobby. We were there for less than 15 minutes. We did not check into the room due to the environment In spite of my health being at risk, neither Expedia nor the hotel would refund our money. I am still experiencing symptoms three days later.

There was no soap, shampoo and conditioner in my room when I checked in. I asked the woman at the front desk and she seemed irritated by the request. She said that housekeeping would take care of it… when I returned that evening , nothing had been refilled. Plus there is no hot water at all - ever ! At best, the water is luke warm. Apparently there is a temperature gauge on how warm the water can be. Won’t be back!

I was very disappointed. The room did not have soap in the bathroom. I went downstairs to the main desk. She only found one small package of soap. No bottles were available from housekeeping. During breakfast the following morning the hot water for tea was cold and there were no travel lids available. We ate our breakfast but could not take tea or coffee on the road as we usually do.

The room was ok it did not look like it had been cleaned or maintained very well, as there were crumbs on the floor and a pair of socks under the bed. The hot tub was not working when I was there which was disappointing and one of the reasons I booked here. However, the staff was super helpful and went out of their way to be accommodating, and the bedding and beds were all clean and comfortable. Also, the bathroom was nice and clean.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a sign that said the elevators were not working. The man that greeted us was polite but unable to give us anything but an upper floor room. We had several pieces of luggage we did not want to leave in the car so were forced to carry them up and down the stair wells. This is unacceptable service. I think our room should have been provided gratis for the inconvenience. Very disappointing. The facility was worn out and needs an upgrade. We will not return to this property. Not being able to provide a simple service like an elevator and offering nothing in return to guests other than our room could be cancelled without penalty is not right. Telling guests they can find their own room at another hotel if they want is poor service. I look forward to a reply.

The negative items in order:

1. The elevator was broke.
2. The room was not clean.
3. There was not any soap in the room.
4. When I asked the front desk, they said they did not have any soap.
5. The towels were tattered, torn, and scratchy.
5. The television did not have ABC so I missed the Texas and Texas A&M football game.
6. The side door would not open with a room key so the guests simply propped the door open with a rock. While we were there, a rock was in the door 50% of the time.
7. The breakfast was minimal. The juice machine was broken. There was not any fresh fruit or yogurt. The coffee was terrible.
8. The staff were friendly and apologetic, but it appears that owners of this hotel were not investing in maintenance or services for their guests.

Needless to say, we will never stay at this hotel again in the future.

We always book Hampton Inns and they've never let us down, but we won't stay at this one in Lubbock again. The staff was unprofessional, barely looking up from their phones at check in, our room smelled musty and wet, the bathroom had water damage that was covered up with wall paper, the beds were sloppily made. The bathroom floor had a thick, sticky film on it, maybe mopping solution? The nightstand also had a sticky cleaning solution on it, my cup actually stuck to the nightstand. I think this location must be a smaller Hampton Inn because there were very few breakfast options and they had a tip jar out (!). It was quiet and it wasn't terribly dirty, and with it being a game day weekend, there weren't other options available so we just dealt with it.

The rooms are very old and worn, the paint is chipping/bubbled, the wallpaper is wrinkled and crooked, the carpets are disgusting, it smelled of mildew, the toilets and shower clogged, the furniture and fixtures are old and damaged, beds are uncomfortable, doors are damaged and don’t close properly, and the whole building felt damp. We didn’t have hot water in our bathroom so they moved us to a different room where the toilet was clogged and the lights blinked. The staff was very nice and helpful and tried their hardest to help and worked hard to clean but I feel bad that this is the environment they have to work in.

We arrived before the 3:00 check in and the lady behind desk was kinda rude. Asked if I knew when check in time was my answer was yes but we had traced along way so hard to judge about time. Needless to say she was rude. We left and came back after 4:00 and was given a room on first floor. The floor was dirty and the air conditioning barely worked but was tolerable. They have a great place to walk your dog

This was a mistake. This Hampton Inn was run down and forgotten. It needs renovations. Our daughters room had wet carpet and a bleach smell. The outside door was left wide open so that anyone coukd come in. Overall just not a place I would ever recommend.

I like the fact the hotel was close to the loop. We have stayed in Hampton Inn throughout the country. Most of breakfast was good, but the breakfast items were very limited compared to all of the Hampton Inns we stayed at. Those hotels had a lot more items. The sausage gravy was exceptional, and we loved the cook. The bed needed a big upgrade. Someone had smoked in our room and in the hallway prior to our visit. The light bulb was out, the toilet was grey inside. There was a bad stain on the shower curtain and on the tub wall. Several other things were wrong. We won't be going back.

We had many issues during our stay. Water pipe broke morning of the 16th so no showers before my daughters graduation. One of two rooms didn't have hot water in the shower so it was scalding hot both mornings. TV kept going out. Room was not very clean...all surfaces were sticky. Room key for one room kept getting deactivated. We had to have it reprogramed at least 6 times. Overall very disappointed with Hampton Inn and won't be staying at any again.

I made my reservation in March, for my stay in May. College graduation wknd for my son. When we got to the hotel, the lady asked for my name. She said she didn’t have my reservation. I informed her that my 81 yr old mother had already checked in, which was the secondary room that I booked…under MY name. The woman said she had no booking for me. I tried to give her my itinerary number. As I said the first number, she informed that there is no reservation for me. This woman was DEFINITELY not willing to help or listen.
