The staff was very friendly. I liked everything about the room except the bathtub; it had rust and hard water stains. It looks like it was not upgraded with the rest of the bathroom or the entire room.
Also, two of the light bulbs in the room were out.
But the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was very nice.
The hotel is not far from the airport, and there is a restaurant within walking distance.

Convient to restaurants and fast food. Kitchen fully equipped with everything you need to cook and there is even a dishwasher, the breakfasts are always good and a little convience nook with snacks and quick frozen foods to microwave if you dont want to get out.

Soap, shampoo bottles in shower were empty! Last guest left a razor in the shower. Called front desk although Isabelle was kind enough to bring new bottles for shower. Still no soap ! Toilet is leaking.

Lights around the dressing vanity are out and need to be placed. Very dark.

No milk in breakfast area for cereal etc. when asked attendant. Response was we are out. We get a truck on Saturday . Coffee extremely weak and cold.

Most likely won’t go back. Used to be nice and kept up. And professional.

Check-in was easy and no loyalty was recognized, but no welcome gift. Extra towels were not provided for the entire stay despite asking repeatedly. Dining are very sub-par and in no way met our expectation based on previous experiences at other Residence Inn properties.

It would have been nice if the parking fee was included in the price of the hotel. That dumb to have to pay in Lubbock and than have big ass signs on the doors warning people of theft. Paying for parking should include security.

We enjoyed the spacious suite. Everything was good. It was clean. The bed was comfy. However, there were a few matters that need to be addressed :the carpet was torn in two areas, the bathtub drain didn't work well, the shower curtain was too short and caused water to leak out, the lamp shade was damaged, also the light above the stove was out.
I wanted to use the pool, but there was no shade at all, and a few umbrellas would have been a really nice feature. (not everyone wants to bake in the sun).
The door on the first floor, facing north was totally broken so the security factor was gone.
When we got there, we were told about the parking fee per night, which was laughable. This is Lubbock and parking is not an issue anywhere. The fee was not declared when I reserved the room, and unnecessary. Just more corporate greed. Use the money to make room repairs,and improve the pool area.
We enjoyed the food service and the staff was very friendly in there.

It seems like it's going down hill since my last stay a month ago. The breakfast was horrible. I had to find the worker for the breakfast area when there was no coffee at 8:30 am. There was no regular sugar and the coffee was watered down. The eggs looked horrible. The oatmeal container that was out was empty. The room I stayed in could have used a cleaning.

The Hotel did not honor the type of room reserved and paid for in advance, even though I called 6 hours before arriving, confirming the reservation and room type which was,1 full Bedroom.

Had I been told the truth, I would have had 6 hours to change Hotels. Coming in at 3 AM in the morning left me few options and they knew they had me. In other words, a classic “Bait and Switch”. They absolutely knew they overbooked rooms and knew that late arrivals would not find other accommodations therefore they had to take what they had.

The same happened to a friend that was traveling with our group. Our group is large and attends many sporting events over a course of three months in Lubbock and I can promise this Hotel and other Hotels that are under the same ownership, they will lose all of our future business.

Moreover, this Hotel refused to correct the mistake or offer any type of refund.

The Breakfast had minimal items, not anywhere near what was advertised. The food area was not only poorly stocked but very unkept.

The room was not adequately stocked with towels and upon getting out of the shower, it was discovered that not even a hairdryer was available in the room.

I learned through investigation that the Manager had been terminated recently and the interim Manager was ill prepared to take over. I’ve also learned the name of the ownership group and which properties they own, and I will be doing several more reviews about this ownership and their other properties.

We had to take a cold shower. There wasn't any hot water our entire stay. When we brought it to the staff's attention, we were told that it was being worked on. There was a stain in the toilet, which made me question the cleanliness of the establishment.

This is the second year in a row we have stayed in a suite here for our family of 6. They are unfortunately chronically understaffed: requests for extra pillows and blankets, toilet plunger, all took 5-6hrs. They say your room is cleaned every other day but we had to empty our own trash and the one day they did clean our room, they took all of our hanging shower towels and bathmat and left us with one. The staff they have is very nice, but service and condition of the hotel keep declining.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The place is filthy. There were actual pubic hairs in the shower, shower didn’t drain, and the shower head was almost completely clogged so minimal flow. The mattress was caved in, and the heater sounded like a helicopter landing in the room. When we tried to talk to the front desk the woman working was absolutely unconcerned and unhelpful. The manager was supposed to follow up and he never did. Instead they tried to prevent us from getting a refund. Believe all the 1 star reviews!!!

So… when we arrived the clerk told me the hotel was oversold and they had no place for us. They offered to move us to another hotel in a double queen… we had a king suite reserved and that wouldn’t have accommodated us. This totally ruined our plans to get ready for the show we were in town for. No manager to talk to - going until Monday, even though they had an over-full hotel all weekend. Won’t stay at Marriott again. Should have stuck with Hilton.

I booked a Marriott property as we loved living in a Marriott in Paris, France. That was clean, with fantastic staff and cleaning service every day.

Here are my issues with the property:

1. We were there early, so they told us the room would be ready closer to check-in time. We waited in the lobby, and they checked other people before us.

2. We requested a higher floor room, but they tried to stick us to some first-floor room while asking other guests which floor they would prefer. Ultimately, after I reminded the lady, she gave us 3rd floor.

3. Now the fun begins: The room at first looked clean till I discovered the blood on the comforter. That was disgusting. I had to go to the front office, get a new comforter, and make my bed. (Just what I wanted to do after paying close to $250 a night.)

4. The bathrooms were horrible. I have pictures if anyone wants to see them. I have always preferred a walk-in shower; I booked it because they showed a glass-door shower. However, they gave us an ugly curtained one, and on top of that, the curtain on the inside was dirty with black stains.

4. After telling them to get the room cleaned daily, they decided to be passive and not leave new towels.

I will never ever stay in a Marriott property in Lubbock again.

We’ve stayed here many times. It’s a really nice place to stay. However, when checking in on 8/12 around 4pm, there was no one attending the desk. Stood there a bit and a young lady with multiple piercings in her face walked up, no smile, asked if we were checking in. Yes. I got out license and credit card. She asked me to turn the card over so she could make sure the number matched what was in the system. It did. She gave me 2 keys and said the room was just around the corner to the left. It was turn left, walk all the way down the hall, turn left and go all the way down that hall. No big deal, just not exactly accurate. Had son with me, no sheets for sofa bed. No big deal, went back to ask for some. Walked up and said I’m back and asked for sheets. She did not look at me nor look up, said you need sheets? Turns around and goes to a bin and gets a set, doesn’t say a word to me and I had been talking to her when she did turn around to get the sheets. I just felt it was unusually bad customer service for check in. We will stay there again anyway, it’s a nice hotel. Maybe she had a bad day. It was just not the normal, really good and friendly greeting. More like I was bothering her.

This was hands down my families best hotel experience thus far. Our room was cleaner than any hotel we’ve been to. The kitchenette in the kitchen came stocked with dishes and utensils which made staying in our room even more enjoyable. We didn’t have to purchase anything extra because our room came stocked with towels, AND a bedding set for the pull out sofa. We will 100% be staying here again!

1. no one came in after the first night to clear trash or make beds

2. Kitchen sink EXTREMELY slow to drain and garbage disposal just hums. won't spin.

3. In the shower, they have pump dispensers for body wash / shampoo / & conditioner: Neat idea except they don't work either because they are empty or the pump is mechanically faulty. in short, don't work...

4. TV... you get news, sports, or kids shows. Nothing good

For the price I paid for this room, everything better work!
Not sorry to say, I won't stay here again. There are much better options.
