The staff was very kind. Stayed here before. Location is great.

Possibly new management. Pool was not open - half full of green water. Very old
Joan
It was a mixed bag. The hotel has a dark, small, unappealing entrance and foyer, and after checking in, you have to walk by the closed pool (which was half empty with murky black-green water), in order to get to the rooms. It gave us an uncomfortable feeling. The first room we were given had a disgusting tub/shower with about a 10-inch area of rust around the drain and black, moldy caulk and grout. We were given another room when asked, though a king bed was not available. The second room was fine, with a newer plastic molded tub area. The room was big and seemed clean but dated. The bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable. The a/c was very loud and rattling each time it cycled on, which was annoying. The breakfast was scant and horrible, and the coffee maker served watery, weak coffee. We ended up going to McDs for both breakfast and decent coffee.

Breakfast was pretty good. Had waffles, eggs, sausages, biscuits or toast, oat meal, juice, coffee, cold cereal.

This was about the only room that wasn’t so priced jacked for a concert. It was still way overpriced for what it was. The room was overall clean but definitely not kept up. The pool was disgusting so definitely could not have even used that had we been able to. In a pinch it’s an ok place but not some place I would seek out.
Harry
The bathroom was gross. The overflow drain in the tub had rusted out so badly. You could stick your finger beside into the void. That means Water is getting down there and I’m sure they’re small. The sink had a big chip out of it that had been glued back in kind of. The dog in the De room barked all night.
I chose this place because it had an eight star rating. That is not accurate at all. I would give it a two star. It was cheap and had a moderate breakfast.

The breakfast was a granola bar

The staff was incredibly rude and discriminatory regarding the service animal traveling with us. Requiring that we provide the exact need for the service animal (beyond what is regulated by the ADA) and when doubting us simply to be able to charge extra monies, demanded documentation of the medical necessity. All of which is a direct violation of my rights as outlined in the ADA. Would NEVER recommend this hotel as the management and staff were unkind and unprofessional whilst dealing with this situation.

I was originally planning to stay
at another hotel but so many in town were fully booked that ended up here. For a discount hotel offering bare bones amenities I felt $171 for single room was way overpriced. Too be fair this graduation weekend for Texas Tech and all the hotels I checked had inflated their prices. This hotel feels dated and somewhat run down. The to my room did not open easily and took effort to open and close. Not sure why I was booked a handicap room. The breakfast area was just sad. The offerings were mediocre. There was no decaf coffee available. The whole experience was unappealing. The plastic ware offered for eating was very flimsy. When I tried to jam on my toast the knive just bent over. The secure entrance at the back of building was not secure, I was told it was broken. It would close a key card could not open it and a couple of times I found it left partly open. My room was on the freeway side and consequently somewhat noisy The was OK and there lots of extra pillows. The closet is small by hotel stands. This closet was equipped with sliding doors with a full mirror. However, one of the sliding doors was stuck and could not be moved. The bathroom has one light switch that also controls a very loud fan, which cannot be shut off unless you turn off the lights. The staff was polite and responsive, but this place could really use some upgrades.

Good room. Friendly staff.

The motel was run down and not well-maintained. My room was dirty and smelled of stale food. The staff was kind and refunded my deposit and canceled my reservation when I wanted to get out of this and go somewhere else.
Paul
Basic accomodations we all expect. Clean room, comfortable bed. I'll stay there again.
Kaylee
Stayed here for a weekend getaway for a tech game. Nothing super nice or fancy, but the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and service was good. Good place to stay if you’re just needing a clean room to sleep in with easy hwy access, without a hefty price tag.

Ok
Julie
Poor Condition room
The only thing nice was the beds. The room looked extremely worn out, broken items and very poor looking chair, cracked floor tiles. Not a pleasant stay. Back door to parking lot was not working w/key. Floor mat SO old, Vending machine broken w/empty water bottle showing in slot, old tea half gone in slot, cc reader not working...very disappointed. I paid over $100 for this room. NOT WORTH half.

Stay was good nice people at counter desk very quiet at night to sleep 😴 but pool not working over all good
Jagdeepinder
Pool out of order, signs of visible leaks all over the ceilings. Ceiling tiles falling down. Rust all over the bathroom. Remnants of carpet left with carpet staples exposed. Food not being held in safe standards. Vending out of order. Placed smelled of mildew and marijuana.
Bonnie
Property was clean. It was a little dated but fine for the price.
Debbie H.
Great location, clean property responsive staff

Noisy but clean
The room was very spacious and clean. Unfortunately the tv from the room next door was so easily hear and the hallways smelled like curry.
Michael
I like that the ac work very well and the room was clean. The breakfast only lacked bacon or at least saugage.
Edgardo
Quiet, good for one night
Kevin
The outside is a littlebrun down, but the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.
Cesar
At this hotel you will hear everything of whats going on within 50 feet, WAY TOO MUCH NOISE, VERY HARD TO SLEEP…
Verlis
Nice stay. Bed was comfortable as well as the room. Great breakfast. Staff was friendly. Would stay there again.
Lance
The owner's/staff are very nice and helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Amin
It’s clean, quiet and save
Eric
5 star stay
Checked in seamlessly and the Bhakta's were very helpful, which are the onsite owners. Bed was very comfortable and the laminate flooring makes the room feel very clean and it smelled nice as well. All in all it was a 5 star stay!
Amanda
Lubbock
The staff were nice. Breakfast needs some more variety.
Sanford
The people and staff were friendly and helpful. The property itself was fairly basic and dated but clean for the most part and still functional. The lock on the back door was broken on the first night but fixed on the second night. The staff and property owners seem to be trying to keep the property attractive but it is a challenge. Location is close to most things but Lubbock isn't that large and it's a fairly easy city to get around no matter where you stay.
Lisa
suited my needs, decent for a cheap hotel
Overall, the room was decent. Walking in, the room smelled weird, almost like someone had smoked in there and they were trying to cover up the smell. There was also a burn mark on the bed cover. I had some room spray with me, so I sprayed that and moved on. The tile in the bathroom needs to be grouted by the faucet. There was dirt and other debris in the corners of the room. Still, overall, the room was fairly clean and accommodated my needs. I liked that the flooring wasn't carpet, but they definitely should clean the floor a bit better. The bed was comfortable enough, but I had a hard time sleeping because the people a couple rooms over had their TV very loud all night and I could hear it pretty clearly (thin walls). Breakfast was fine for a continental breakfast, no meat options though.
Jana

Nice people, clean rooms, excellent breakfast. I would stay here again. I don’t need the snack bar or “extras.” The folks at the hotel next door paid 3 times what I did for the same thing. I was quite pleased.

Very clean, great bed

To be honest I stayed here because it was the cheapest I could find. With that said , I was very impressed with how clean it was. Older hotel but they have worked to keep it clean and was more than I expected.

This is a basic lodging that provides you with a clean room and bath which is precisely what I needed. They also serve breakfast and are easily accessible. Most of the hotels in Lubbock are overpriced and are underwhelming in their service. This property is no frills but in comparison to their competitors, is a better bargain and one that I will frequent again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing is the breakfast should have been a little better but other than that it was good.

Great Stay
My experience from booking to my special request was wonderful. Very helpful and nice employees. Room was clean and ac was nice and cold at arrival. I added an extra day before arrival and i was given a discount. I requested a lower level due to recent back surgery and they were kind enough to fulfill my request and emailed me to let me know that they did. At arrival (midnight) I wanted some coffee and the front desk employee opened the breakfast area so that i could get some fresh coffee from their coffee machine. Breakfast was good with fresh waffles and the coffee was so good.
When checking out they were so nice and said told me to have a great day and safe travels. That alone speaks volumes of the owners and all that work at this location.
All in all we had a great stay! Thank you!!!

Worst Econo Lodge
I waited to give this review because they were holding my deposit, but it just so happens, they stole my deposit. The man said they would refund it but they kept it & I can't contact anyone so I filed a dispute with my bank. Also, nothing worked. The pool was filled but it wasn't open. The ice machine was broken as was the vending machine. The air conditioner was extremely loud with a foul odor. The probably will never give me my deposit back now but those are the facts.
