Quite frankly the room was small and for two guest we had 1 wash cloth and 1hand towel. The floor by the toilet was dirty and the pillows smelled like dirty hair and sweat. For the price of the room, I was surprised that there was not a free breakfast. The next trip to visit our grandchildren we will stay elsewhere. But excellent staff!!

Graduation weekend and a softball tournament made things crazy. Manager was helpful but front desk staff was useless. The guy put on headphones and played his video game ignoring the fact that Boston University got out of hand with very loud music in the common area. He could careless that the elevator broke and other guests were annoyed by the noise. Rooms are run down. Our shower dripped the whole time to the point we had to put the bathmat in the shower because of the noise off the drain. Bathrooms were not cleaned well and the floor has big gaps in the planks.

We booked this hotel specifically for the George Strait concert and paid nearly $1,000 for the room, fully expecting a basic level of service.

Check-in is listed as 3:00 PM. We arrived at 4:30 PM and were told our room still wasn’t ready. We didn’t get access until almost 5:45 PM—nearly three hours past check-in. Because of this, we missed half of the concert we traveled for.

Let’s be clear: this wasn’t a surprise event. You knew the town would be busy, you charged premium rates because of it, and yet failed to have rooms ready on time or communicate delays. That’s poor planning and even worse execution.

A $25 credit from Expedia is frankly insulting given what we paid and what we missed.

If you’re going to charge these kinds of rates, you need to deliver. This experience fell well below expectations, and I expect a more reasonable resolution than what’s been offered so far

The stay was nice, staff members friendly & polite. Fitness room needs some attending to. 3 of the 6 pieces of cardio equipment out of order. No AED machine in place. The signage is on the wall but no machine. I would move the dispenser for sanitation wipes by the door with a sign to wipe down equipment after use. We used the area twice couldn't use cardio equipment because it was in use then watched as those using it for 30 mins left without wiping it off.

All aspects of our stay were wonderful. I asked for anything to use for a dog bowl and the manager came back out with many treats and accessories for our dog. They helped with ALL needs and were courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and had all amenities.

Parking was great and the staff were awesome. The problem with Aloft hotels are that they look amazing with the vibrant colors when they're brand new, but they start to look dingy quickly because of those same patterns and the stains from use. Almost every aloft I say at I feel like they need to have a good upholstery clean on all of the furniture in the lobby. The lobbies are clean of items and trash, but the upholstery looks worn out and dirty.

The room was very poorly maintained. The air freshener masking some smell was extremely strong. The walls were chipped scratched and the bathroom doors wouldn’t close all the way. AC was incredibly loud we had to sleep with it off. The room was dirty with trash crumbs and dust all over the floor. Some towels were dirty. Very disappointed in this hotel. Front desk was friendly at late check in but didn’t know if our room was going to be a double bed room so left to go check.

The hotel is kind of ok. It is not worth $175 a night. Maybe $80. The hotel did not smell clean, just musty. I asked for a quiet room, there were loud kiddos above me and beside me. On morning one, we went down for coffee because there was only enough for two cups in our room. The coffee was, at best, lukewarm, and almost empty. There were several staff members standing around and no one offered to make more and watched as we heated it in the microwave.
I stated 4 people to our room, so why 3 towels? And why does this hotel not offer complimentary breakfast? For the price, it should. The shower head was terrible. Only part of it was spraying. I had to fix the toilet in the first few minutes because it was running continuously and no one answered when we called. To put it simply, if I had paid about half of what I paid, I could be ok with all of that. I expect more when I pay more.
The lady that checked in was sweet. The young man that checked us out was lacking in enthusiasm and happiness. I walked up to the counter and said “How am I supposed to checkout?” I saw him sitting at the counter over by the “breakfast” are, but he didn’t look or act like an employee. He certainly didn’t greet us or act like he wanted to get up or anything else.
I will be staying elsewhere with better service for that price next time.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. However, the black walls in the halls look very beaten up. Extension cords on the floor between the bathroom and the room was odd and raise the question as to whether the place is up to code. The barn style rolling bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed. The thick caked on dirt in the corners of the floors shows the age. It can use some deep cleaning and freshening up.

No sound on tv. No help resolving this. There was some strange whining sound coming from some equipment outside the room all night. Door to bathroom didn't close. Wall between bathroom and beds is just done cheap partition with gaps above and below. I would never stay here again.

We’ve stayed at just about every hotel between Austin and Colorado over years of making this drive 3–4 times a year, and this Aloft is consistently the best stop. It’s clean, well-located with plenty of good restaurants nearby, and genuinely dog-friendly—they don’t charge for pets, and both staff and guests are welcoming to our two high-energy golden retrievers. On a recent stay, we accidentally left medication in the room fridge, and when we passed back through a week later the staff had kept it safely stored for us. That kind of follow-through and kindness is rare and appreciated.

Great place! Great location! And the fact that they take care of pets so well for free was what put this over the top. I’ll forego a hot Buffett of breakfast for free pet stays any day. But here is the but….I wish they would at least run a swiffer on the floors between stays. I spilled some water, wiped it up and it was gross. Also I wish the pet potting area was bigger. It gets a little complicated when multiple guests are trying to let their dogs potty at the same time. The dogs wanna pay attention to each other since it’s really only about a 12x12 space.

The front desk attendant was exceptional, displaying exceptional friendliness and accommodating behavior. Her exceptional service was the sole reason I awarded the room four stars.

When I booked the room I booked it for one reason and that is because under the room details where it said bathroom it said shower tub combo and it did not have that. And it also said that I could pay a $3.50 fee for an on-the-go breakfast but that would have been for just one item for such an upscale hotel I feel like it should have been much better.

The staff was amazing at the front desk and at the bar. The room was definitely not very clean. There was a used bandaid stuck to the bed platform. When I went to retrieve something from the floor between the bed and the wall I noticed how filthy the floor was. We had just spent two nights at an Aloft in Round Rock and loved it so much we thought we would try one in Lubbock. Sadly disappointed at the cleanliness.

Met by incredibly nice staff but our room had a urine splattered floor around the toilet, no shampoo — only conditioner— streaky dirty mop job, and not a single piece of equipment worked in the gym. No one said anything about the gym upon check-in and the options available. Concerns turned the friendly staff cold and everything directed to the GM. Thankfully Expedia helped us out of this inexcusable mess.
Marriott, your Courtyard and A-Loft are horrible in Lubbock. You should really check into this gross misrepresentation of your brand there.

We have stayed there several times, dropping our son off or visiting him at Texas Tech. Hotel is clean and comfortable with a lively bar for a drink at night. Only complaint is the outside patio could use a little cleaning and attention. It’s close to shopping complex and on the safer side of town. It’s our go to hotel when we are in Lubbock.

The room was modern. Was perfect for my trip. The only downside was the AC flooded part of my room, staff brought me towels to clean it up (I cleaned it not them). The cleaning crew didn't refill my coffee, creamer or sweetener and I was without coffee the 2nd day. Overall nice place for the price.

Nice location! Friendly and helpful staff. Close to shopping and restaurants. Kinda odd not having an actual wall for the bathroom and no locks on bathroom doors. You can see through small opening from room into the shower area. There are no hooks to hang towels on. Carpets throughout hotel need to be replaced (or at least cleaned). It would be really nice to provide some fresh brewed coffee in the lobby for your guest.
