This hotel is my favorite place to stay in Honolulu. Service is always 5 stars. Rooms are lovely. Special shout out to Nola at the front desk who did everything under the sun to help accommodate my needs. She is an absolute gem. Thank you Nola!

A wonderful hotel with fantastic service from all the staff we encountered. Courtney assisted us at reception when we checked in. She was wonderful and so helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center. Great dim sum restaurant (Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant) located on the 4th floor at Ala Moana shopping center. We picked up our morning coffee at McDonald's which is conveniently located across from the hotel. There was a microwave and a coffee maker in our hotel room. There were so many restaurants within walking distance, we never made use of it.

Clean property and nice hotel only concern is the tv channels because I was watching a kid movie and then it changed to adult po*n like full nu*e and 2 channels above from pbs kids is full adult content I juts think this isn’t appropriate for the range of tv channels cuz kids can accidentally stumble apon that by the click of a button

The staff is great and very accommodating. The room was clean with an awesome ocean view. This Hilton hotel is located at the beginning of Waikiki so it’s perfect for restful sleep and relaxation. But also close enough to all the action so we could walk to the many restaurants, stores, and beautiful beaches.

I was very disappointed when we arrived and found out breakfast had been discontinued. We were given a $600. discount (for 24 breakfasts) that could only be applied to this hotel. Being in Hawaii it would be difficult to buy a breakfast for $25. The breakfast was one of the reasons we chose this hotel and we should have been informed earlier.
I was also very unhappy that the hotel solicited us to attend a 1 1/2 hr session to sell us something. They offered us a $200 gift card to attend and woke me from a nap when they called our room. I am on vacation and I didn't want $200.

To be honest, the staff really was the centerpiece of the stay. From check-in to a welcome call from the concierge, and the housekeepers who made our bed every day—everyone was amazing. The room was clean , we were on the 9th floor with a corner/side view of the marina - the traffic below us was a bit noisy- but nothing too crazy.If you kept your sliding glass door open you could hear the traffic. The balcony was enough for two people to side out and catch the afternoon sun

There was no mini bar but the bar at the pool was good. The bartender though I did not care for. He didn't acknowledge us even though he saw us and sat at the empty bar counter. Other then that I liked everything. Parking was nice and easy, and most everything was near to walk to. I recommend it if someone would ask.

We stayed in hilton modern from april 1-7 and it was the best relaxing vacation ever. We love everything about the hotel. Our stay had been very meaningful and memorable for us. The hotel looks modern inside the hotel most especially the rooms, the rooms are big and very clean. They clean the rooms, washroom, bed and toilet everyday. The washrooms in the lobby are tremendous. The hotel is quiet, very comfortable and very safe to stay in (only checked in guests have access to the elevator and washrooms). The washrooms in the lobby area are tremendous and very clean. The location is very close to the beach (beachfront hotel), very close to restaurants, fastfoods, ABC store, and close to waikiki if you would like to stroll the whole waikiki, and 10 minutes walk to ala moana mall if you are interested. The swimming pool is very nice for family with kids, their restaurant cooks delicious and variety of foods. The staffs are very nice and wonderful. They also have activities inside the hotel everyday including lei making, yoga, etc.

Everyone was nice. The property was clean. There is no spa, the pool is very small, there is a second “pool” that is about 6” deep that is adults only and has sun loungers. They have some small activities but you have to register with the “concierge” who really just wants to sell you a timeshare. The property is pretty good but amenities are lacking. Especially given the “resort fee” you have to pay daily - which is puzzling because the amenities are not really any better than a standard hotel would be.

The hotel is nice, but my main issue was the noise. I got a room in 3rd floor and the noise of the street was on times a bit much. I am sensible to the noise and I asked for a room as far as posible from the elevators. The first time I was given a room right acrross from the elevators. I went back to the desk and requested another room. I was relocated to a lower level.

I book bed room with 2 queen bed and they said it’s Expedia fault because the don’t offer that, but I choose that room option while booking . I always have great experiences with Experien I have booked many trips and have never had any issues , but I will never go back to this hotel.

Originally booked an Airbnb for our trip but upon arrival, we saw that it was not clean whatsoever. Had to find a hotel to stay in for the week so we booked this stay on a whim and ended up LOVING it. The staff are so kind and helpful, the location is great, and there is so much to do. The one downside is that The Grove restaurant had confusing hours (likely due to the storm that was hitting Oahu during this time). The food at The Grove was delicious though, we just wish the hours of operation were better.

Will definitely be staying here the next time that we come to Oahu!

We are currently staying at the Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu, and overall our experience has been wonderful. I must admit our check-in process was a little shaky at first; however, Bella handled the situation with exceptional grace and professionalism, which we truly appreciated.

During our stay, we also had the pleasure of meeting Mina at the concierge desk, and she has been absolutely outstanding. She has gone above and beyond in helping us with restaurant recommendations, transportation tips, excursions, and ideas for things to do with our family—especially during the recent storm when we needed extra guidance.

Beyond her knowledge and helpfulness, Mina’s warm personality and infectious smile made us feel genuinely welcomed. She truly helped make our stay better than we expected.

If you are visiting the hotel, be sure to stop by the concierge desk and ask for Mina for recommendations on excursions and things to do around the island. She is fantastic!

Our stay in Honolulu was highly enjoyable, particularly as we were celebrating my mother's birthday, which she truly appreciated. We were somewhat taken aback to discover that this Hilton location does not provide any special offerings for birthdays. In contrast, our previous experiences at other Hilton establishments in California and Nevada included various birthday amenities.

Nonetheless, the hotel staff were remarkably accommodating and hospitable, fulfilling our requests for additional towels, new trash bags, and other necessities. They also provided water tickets, allowing us to avoid unnecessary expenditures on bottled water. However, it is worth noting that the parking fees were exorbitant, even with the seemingly modest discount extended to guests. For our brief stay of five days and four nights, we incurred parking costs totaling nearly $200.

The hotel is very outdated. Carpet and furniture covered in stains. Our room was very loud due to the noise from the Main Street and the noise of the elevators. We saw multiple cockroaches by the pool. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes, but the beach is very rocky, so we had to go to other beaches. Wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

The room was a partial ocean view, which should have bave been a sliver of ocean view. The bed was rock hard, and they charged for everything, which was not clear before checking in. When you ask about what transportation they normally recommend, they list all the normals. I ask for which was more reliable or cost efficient, they had no clue. You ask about restaurant recommendations, and two concierge refer you to an offsite restaurant, where none of them have eaten,and steaks are very expensive. Then you ask them about things to see, and they try to get you to join a very expensive per person luau that coincidentally is free if you sit through their timeshare seminar. No other recommendations. We ended up leaving for home early due to my husband's health issues, and they refused to refund our money or even give us a credit stating that it would have to come from Expedia. Its not like we planned for his issues. I guess Hilton must be struggling. The parking garage was creepy, and there were vagrants and obvious druggies everywhere. The hotel is clean, but very dated. Not sure how it's modern, and the balcony furniture was rusty. I will never stay at another Hilton.
