This was a great place to stay. Loved that the kitchen was fully stocked, and there was a deep jet tub in the bathroom. My unit had a separate balcony off the bedroom and the living room. Very clean unit and great staff. Used the gym and it was very convenient to access. Very close beach access too. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I definitely would stay here again.

Amazing stay :)

We had an amazing 4nights stay. Hotel does not have good views (looks into parking garages from rooms and pool) but is otherwise in a great location. 2min walk to beach and right in the middle of lots of restaurants/ shopping.
1 bedroom was cramped. It was a kind bed but it was pushed against the wall on one side so only one night stand which is annoying for charging phones etc.
service was great, we asked for extra coffee etc and they were quick and helpful.

Good location, but hotel is nothing special

Hotel was clean and felt safe, though I don’t know if they offered daily cleaning or not since we never use it. It’s a timeshare resort, so they will try and get you to come to their presentation to sell you on the property. Personally, I think timeshares are never a good idea so I wouldn’t buy one but many people do.
Had I had an interest in buying a timeshare, they didn’t do anything extra nice or special to sell us on it. It was raining and so we asked to use some umbrellas and we’re told we only could have one per room though we were a family of three. We also had requested a later checkout so our baby could take a nap that day and we’re told we needed to be ‘elite members’ for that option - though the hotel was empty and it would have easily been something they could have done. There were a few other things they missed so all in all, it was a fine stay but nothing special.
It’s a good location in Waikiki, but had it been busy Lewer’s street can be very loud at night.

The Property is located in the Downtown Beach Walk area. It is near the beach, food, and shopping. This makes it easy to get around. The property itself is a little worn down and dated. My family stayed here 13 years ago for it's grand opening. Nothing has been updated in that time.

This was a nice property close to everything. Just a block to the beach and shopping, The 2 bedroom suite was spacious and equipped with all the amenities. The pool, jacuzzi and gym were adequate. Fair value for what you get. A lobby bar would be a nice addition.

Located centrally close to everything which was fantastic. The 2 bedroom apartment was a great size with loads of amenities. Both showers had very weak pressure. Beds really comfortable. Only major gripe was that no service was done on our apartment during our 2 night stay plus no fresh towels either.

Spacious in the middle of the action

Great space and comfortable for all. The front staff was surly when I enquired why we were charged an extra day of parking. It was credited but I was not thrilled with her lack of ohana attitude. Every one was great although we did not want to sit for a 90 minute presentation.

Great location, good pool. No views as in the middle of the city section, but the really nice part. Staff really average. Cranky is the nicest way to put it.
Rooms great size, nice and clean, needing slight repaint - lots of chips in walls, corners, etc. Air con was noisy and had vents in walls to get to the bedrooms. Never seen that before...
Would stay again as it was good though and safe for kids. (extra lock at the top of the front door).

Clean, quiet, great location

The room was clean with very quiet A/C. The building is well sound proofed, we never heard the neighbors at all. Despite being in a very busy spot with constant traffic and tons of people we couldn't hear anything from outside. The pool is nice and well heated, it's too deep for small kids though.

The staff was good for the most part. It's a timeshare so be prepared to deal with pushy salespeople ( I just ignored them)

Really nice place to stay for the price.

I would definitely stay here again. While I wasn’t in an ocean view room, this place is all about the location. Close to public transit, shops, beach, eateries and free entertainment. Plus, it’s located on a road where fewer cars pass so it’s safe & quiet. The kichtenette had all necessities if you want to save on eating out everyday. The courtesy room was very welcome and allowed us to enjoy a final full day as our flight was in the evening. The reception staff: Tom, Charles, Kay,,,were kind, friendly and helpful.

Hotel decoration is a bit old style and the interior is not bright overall. There is no direct lift access from car park to your room if you drive and check in with lots of laggages. Facilities are limited. There is no tennis court and swimming pool is relatively small compare to resort style hotel.

Nice, spacious condo. Kitchen and bathroom (with jetted tub) make the stay more comfortable. This property does not charge a resort fee; yay! Just a short walk to the beach and to a large selection of restaurants, stores. Seriously though, if you're OK with lots of traffic, expensive valet parking costs and crowded beaches, then Waikiki is the place for you and this Wyndham is a perfect choice. If you're looking for wonderful beach experiences, get out of Honolulu and stay elsewhere on the island. Valet parking attendants at this property are quick and polite. Note: this is a Wyndham Vacation Club property, so there is a sales presentation you will be asked to attend. Everyone is polite when you decline that opportunity.

Nice Hotel. No balcony access or fresh air

Balconies were completely inaccessible during my stay. Hotel was fixing the concrete and rebar on each balcony, All balcony doors on one side of the building were locked. No fresh air, no ability to sit outside at all, and no price break for this issue. I'm a little surprised that Hotels.com didn't inform me of this ahead of time. This had been going on for some time.

Great Hotel-Full of Surprises

Hotel is set up like an apartment; dishwasher, (clothes) washer, dryer, practically everything you need. There is no daily housekeeping which I prefer; so, if you run out of soap, towels and the like, the front desk will provide additional items. It is a timeshare so there are timeshare sessions you can attend; for going you get free breakfast and a gift card or activity credits up to $200. Staffs are nice and professional, hotel is clean and close to the beach. Lots of places to shop and eat nearby. Saw a rainbow on the last day from the lanai and firetrucks showed up because the fire alarm triggered, fun... Will definitely stay again!

I don't enjoy the crowds of WAIKIKI.BUT WE WHERE THERE FOR A DESTINATION WEDDING FOR 3 DAYS AND THE ROOM WAS GREAT HOWEVER THE VIEW WAS OF A 6 STORY PARKING STRUCTURE.THE STAFF WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY GOOD.
THE POOL ARE AREA WAS AND THE SIZE ROOM WAS FANTASTIC FOR THE 3 OF US.

Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk

Met my expectations with a couple of exceptions:
- The TV is not HD (analog on flatscreens)
- The parking garage became inaccessible for a day due to a water main break on the road, so we had to rent a second car for the day (had excursions reserved all day). This cost me $150 U.S. extra (had to rent what was there), but I got my 2 nights of parking fee back from the hotel ($70 U.S.).

Fabulous Family - Girls Vacation

We booked a one bedroom apartment for 3 adults for our 10 night stay in Waikiki.
The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed - we were pleasantly surprised. The location was fabulous, 5 mins walk to the beach and close to everything.
We had a first floor apartment looking out over Lewers Street - which was lovely at night - especially on Halloween. We weren't too concerned about street noise until the road works started - luckily we liked an early start to our day - and it was only for a couple of days.

The only negatives for us were the air conditioning unit was very loud making it difficult to sleep at night, but once we worked out how to turn it off, problem solved. Also the rooms were quite dark - no natural light. It would have been nice to have had our room serviced 5 days into our stay rather than 8 days (there didn't seem much point by that time) small things really.

Staff were friendly and helpful and overal we thought the Wyndham was very good value for money. We would definitely stay again with family and reccommend to others.

Hotel was quite handy to shops, beach, restaurants and transport. Great little extras/facilities in the room for families like popcorn, coffee, lemonade, washing powder, dishwashing liquid etc which made things easy as you didn't have to go out and look for them. Good welcoming staff with an activities desk that was also useful. plenty of beach toys etc to borrow to go to the beach and the pool was also good to use for the kids.

Room I got was not what I saw in pictures but ..

We arrived 3 hours early but they got our room about an hour earlier than scheduled check in. Layout and size of the room I got was different and smaller than what I saw in picture. They charge $30 for room cleaning but extra towels are free. All staff I met were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean.

You got more than what you paid for

The one bedroom suite is big enough for 3-4 persons. You can find everything you needed, washer, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, oven range, cookware...in the room making you feel you are at home. The resort is easy access to restaurants and shops and the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Mall is within 2-3 minutes walk.

Definitely coming back!

My fiancé and I had our first stay at this hotel and we are both very satisfied with our room and all the amenities in it. We felt very welcomed during our stay from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out. All of the staff members from the check in to the valet and bell service was awesome! Even after we checked out we found out that there was a courtesy room that we could use to freshen up before leaving for the airport, which is nice especially when we had a huge gap between our check out time and our flight back home. Will be recommending this place to family and friends since location is great too~

In A Great Location

I rarely write reviews but had to with my most recent stay at Wyndham. For me and my husband, this was our second time to Oahu but my parents and sister, their first time. They absolutely loved it here! It was very close to the beach, in a perfect area for shopping since my mom loved all the designer stores, and right next to an ABC Store that had a deli, which meant it was much bigger than the standards ones and carried produce (we preferred to cook in our suite since we are more health conscious). We had a two bedroom two bathroom suite which looked modern too, and from some of the places I've stayed at and seen in photos, most hotel furniture looked very outdated. The staff was extremely nice; the best customer service we've experienced at a hotel! My husband and I even considered timeshare at this place, because that's how much everyone enjoyed their stay. For next time, I would try and book a suite with a bigger lanai, since I would like to have family meals outdoors. Although we didn't have an ocean front view, we still had a great view of stores and entertainment (on Thursday evenings). I highly recommend this place!

Don't park your car here

The Hotel itself was fine and no complaints about the room, the location is very central in Waikiki and close to the beach.
We got the timeshare sales spiel that we normally avoid but due to the phenominal charge to park the car there ($35 p/d + tips - no self parking) we decided to do it to offset the cost. It of course went longer than we were told and the $150 Amex card we were promised ended up being only $100. This lead to a problem checking out that almost made us late for our flight and we are still waiting to be reimbursed the extra $50 we had to pay to check out despite being told it has been rectified.
We stayed 8 days and they only came to clean the room the day we were leaving.

Very quick walk to plenty of shops and dining. Beach isn't far but we had already been to Waikiki beach and instead drove to hanauma bay. We were here 3 nights total. One day we drove to ko'olina on the west side of the island to swim in their lagoons: not too crowded and good for beginners.

A big negative about the Wyndham: toilet seats in both bathrooms in our unit were in dire need of replacement.

We travelled with a 10month old from Australia, and couldn't have been more happier with the resort. They allowed us early check in which saved a lot of stress. Resort is located right near restaurants, cafes, boutique stores , so easy with a baby they requires regular naps, so a quick pop down make it so easy. Beach is 5 mins walk (if that). view from room wasn't exciting, but the size of the room makes up for it. 2 balconies, decent size lounge, kitchen & bathroom. all the facilities you require to make for an easy stay with a baby are located at this resort. would def stay here again!

I time-share vacation hotel with limited amenities, however very clean and cantrally located. Only a few walkig blacks from the beach. In front a nice shopping center, close to restaurants and only 2 blocks from the famous Kalakaua Ave.

We were in a two bedroom unit and were very happy with what we got. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer and kitchen in the unit. The hotel is in the heart of Waikiki, so easy to walk everywhere in Waikiki. It is also not too far from the beach - a 5 minute walk. Also, plenty of restaurants around. Our room did not have a \"view\" per say, but it was OK with us because we were out most of the day sight seeing in any case.

Our room was great. Felt like a 1 bedroom condo. The view of the parkade was something to be desired, but it was very quiet. The pool was great and had good sun from 10-3 every day. Excellent location. Minutes to the beach and surrounded by great shops and restaurants. Only down fall was the constant phone calls to do a tour of the time share options. Phone rang 3 times a day sometimes.

Thoroughly enjoyed a few days in the centre of Waikiki. Condo fabulous, 2 bdrm/2 bathroom. Pool is small but pleasant, spa always overflowing with kids. Staff pleasant, friendly and happy to help, no problem with the timeshare sell. Valet parking is expensive especially when you add tips all the time.
Overall, loved the condo and location and would certainly stay again.

Very nice place. There was some construction going on which made the entrance a little hard to find but it didn't bother us. It may not be clear on Hotels.com that this is a time-share place and they will try to get you to sign up for an informational session, but you don't have to. Also they have an activities desk which can book things for you on all the islands which we found very convenient if a little pricey compared to doing the research and booking things yourself. If you sit through a timeshare presentation you get $150 off the activities. The kitchenette and in-room laundry facilities came in handy, although the dryer took a long time.

Rooms were extremely usable. We had a 2 brm apt and had everything we could ask for. Windows were double glazed so noise was not an issue to us and we were on the 4th floor opposite the Yard House. Only drawback is the balcony size, only fits 1 person. We had previously been at another apartment on the 16th floor and it was noisy. Got asked about the 'timeshare' thing, but was not hassled to go. Would definitely go there again.

It was very nice for our family of 5 with 2 teenagers. Convenient to Honolulu sites. Two negatives- hotel checkin staff should state that there is no daily maid service. I have stayed in other time shares that do have daily changes of towels- this did not and was not mentioned at checkin. Also I am not a time share owner and do not wish to own a time share. I did think they were pretty pushy even after I said no thanks. No need to ask me again within 5 minutes of saying no, I think.

The hotel and staff were great. Lots to do at the hotel and the location is wonderful. If you want to good place to stay in Waikiki I would highly recommend it. Everything is clean and in order if you ask for something I had it within just minutes. Only thing I personal didn't like was this is a timeshare and they wanted to push it for the first day or two but after saying NO they backed off... Have a get time and enjoy !!

Choose your room location carefully

The 2 bedroom appartment was well appointed with generous sized rooms and 2 good bath rooms. Unfortunately, our room 101 was on the ground floor located next to a service lane. Every morning at 5.30am precise a Dump Truck would pull up and empty next doors large rubbish bins, this lastet between 5-10 minutes and was most anoying as both bedrooms faced this lane. In addition this lane was also used by numerous buses as a thourough fare. We made reference to the front desk, but the reply was that we are lucky that we are not on the other side of the complex above the Night Club!

Excellent hotel for family's! Can't wait to go back!

This condo was perfect for my family of 5! If we would of stayed in a hotel we would gave been smushed up in one room. This condo had 2 full size bathrooms witch was great since there was 3 of us girls getting ready! It was in the middle of everything and about 1 1/2 blocks from the beach. This is perfect for family's that want a kitchen and washer/dryer. It was very clean. I took magic erasers expecting to have to clean before we used anything but I didn't have to. It was around 11:30 when we got there after all day of flying and kids where thirst and tired. They had crystal light and a picture to make it in. We were set up just like a hotel with shampoo and ect. things even laundry detergent. Yes they did have ear plugs at the front desk but we didn't need them! Lol great for family's!

Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk - Great Spot

My husband and I extended our stay in Waikiki by 3 nights and chose the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk for its central position and the fact that it was condo style accommodation.

The first room we were offered was massive but was on the corner of Beachwalk and an alley and had some noise. We requested we be moved to a higher floor not overlooking the street and were given a fantastic room on the 5th floor overlooking the pool.

The room was huge and the king bed was so comfortable, they should sell them!

We felt that the decor was a little dated and over the 3 nights we were there, we didn't have any housekeeping (not that we really needed it) so we were a little confused but to the Wyndham's defence, we didn't see the team for our welcome pack and information so we were really to blame for not getting all of the information at the beginning.

The pool is small but was not utilised heavily which was great.

Positives: location, hotel access, room size and pool access.

Negatives: Street noise if on the street side, the back of the complex overlooks a multi level car park and you need to keep the curtains closed if you are on floors 1 - 8, lack of housekeeping.

After arriving from Australia at 7am after a 17 hours of travel, the staff was not sympathetic about our situation. The said they couldn't check us in until 4 because they had no rooms. When we finally did check in there was a courtesy card on our bed saying the room was cleaned 2 days earlier. So they basically lied about not having a room. Then when we checked out at 10am, they told us we could use the \"courtesy room\" to clean up before our flight. They could have offered us this when we arrived... Not impressed. The studio room was real cluttered and we felt real closed in with a view of the massive parking garage. Not recommended at all!

Best vacation and Superb comfort

This by far our most comfortable vacation. Wyndham Resorts provided all the amenities I am looking for a home away from home. It is our first stay in their resorts and this is just the beginning. Extremely satisfied. Everything we need and we want to explore are within walking distance.

Great location to explore waikiki life.

We had six adults and one child. The hotel brought in a playpen for him. It was a great experience for us to get to know our only grandchild better. We loved our stay only wished it could have been longer.

family vacation

hotel wasnt what i expected. when i went on line to book it specifically stated click here for photos of room i was booking for...., well when i checked in and room didnt look nothing like i previewed online he stated \" pictures are for deluxe suite \"

well nothing said preview deluxe suite pictures. there was no accomodations made with the mix up.

then i did not know there was a bar below our room and up until closing which was 4 am band was so loud it sounded like they were partying next door.

my stay was not pleasant at all for my family and sad to say i will not recommend it to anyone, or be booking at all ever again for that price.

Great Place to stay and fantastic neighbourhood!

We just got back from spending 8 days at the Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk and what a great place. The pool is a little small and the sun isn't always able to get to the pool, but we really enjoyed the place. It is a short walk to Waikiki Beach and we ate out at a different restaurant every night and didn't have to leave the block. The rooms were clean and large, including large bedrooms and bathrooms. We were pleasantly surprised. No real Lanai, as you are overlooking the street, but we didn't mind, as we were usually out in the action on the street. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.
